Just when I thought I’d get a vacation with the love of my undead life, my life blows up. Again.
Sun and naughty fun is off the docket. Eliminating deadly Dhampirs is at the top of the to-do list. Crap.
How in the ever-loving heck does a bloody note written on a paper towel and rag magazines left by Satan turn into a Vamp-hunt for idiots who think creating Dhampirs to attain world domination is a smooth move? The secret life of the entire Vampyre species is now on the line.
Welcome to my Hell on Earth.
With an insane crew of two warriors who don’t know their heads from their rear ends, a Demon who can break glass with her voice, Martha and Jane—who are foul-mouthed and clothing-impaired, and a tiny Vamp with fangs as big as her body, I’m going to solve the problem come Hell or high water. Hopefully it’s just high water. I could do without the Hell part…
I’m ready to rumble and ready to win. The stakes are too high to lose. Plus, I need a freaking vacation. Work before play. We just need to survive it first.
Robyn writes because the people inside her head won’t leave her alone until she gives them life on paper. Her addictions include shoes (the expensive kind), Coke with extra ice in a styrofoam cup, and bejeweled reading glasses. A former professional actress, she now lives in the south with her family and too many animals to count. Writing gives her a chance to have a job where working in her P.J.’s is acceptable. ➡️ ɢʀᴀʙ ɪꜰ ʏᴏᴜ: ° Love your audiobooks full-cast in spirit, even with one narrator ° Enjoy found-family chaos with a side of demon drama ° Live for nonstop puns, laugh-track style one-liners, and low-stakes, well, vampire stakes ° Want a supernatural romp with big personalities and bigger fangs
➡️ ɪᴛ'ꜱ ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ: When Vampyre fashionista Astrid finally thinks she’s getting a break, she gets hit with… Dhampir world domination schemes. What follows is a mission packed with sass, accidental innuendos, a demon whose voice could shatter glass, and a wildly unqualified crew (who somehow still kinda slay). Astrid’s got one job: save her people again—and hopefully live to tan another day.
➡️ ꜰᴜɴɴɪᴇꜱ-ᴏ-ᴍᴇᴛᴇʀ: 💅💅💅💅 The humor starts out sharp and clever—think vampires with sitcom energy—but leans hard into potty jokes and misused metaphors as the plot moves along. If that’s your jam, you’ll cackle all the way through. If not, it may feel a little more local cable TV than clever satire.
The best part? The audiobook narrator brings everyone to life like it’s her personal mission. Different voices, accents, full personality. The cast is chaotic but endearing. Even if the jokes get a bit much, there’s no denying the heart—and the fangs.
Perfect for fans of True Blood meets Schitt’s Creek, but if written by the person who always wins “Class Clown” in the yearbook.
This is book 19 in the Hot Damned series how have I not heard about this before! It can be read/listed to as a standalone, I will have to check out more! This was such a fun listen! The narrator did a phenomenal job with all the characters! So hilarious I was laughing out loud a lot! Who knew vampires could be so witty, silly, a little raunchy and slightly ridiculous at times this was a wild ride and I really enjoyed it!
This is currently the last book in the series and I absolutely loved them all!! This one did not disappoint!! So funny! I hope another book comes out soon. Also have to give props to the narrator Jessica. She is absolutely amazing as she brings each character to life.
It’s been a while since I’ve been in Astrid’s world, but it didn’t take me too long to get caught up in the crazy (after I had a bit of literary whiplash - the last book I read was far more serious and sedate). I love the new characters that were introduced, and Astrid’s compassion always makes me tear up a bit. Somehow the crazy is amped up with each book, and I love it!

Tropes & Themes: Supernatural Beings & Extraordinary Abilities Vampire Romance The Chosen One Fated Mates Age Gap ( by hundreds of years) Dhampirs Immortals Compassion & Empathy Rescue Romance Women Empowerment Comedy
Fashionably Felonious, Hot Damned Book 19, by Robyn Peterman is a delightfully hilarious paranormal romantic comedy that I DEVOURED. I love this highly imaginative storyworld of supernatural beings — such as Vampyres, Demons, Angels, Faeries — and in Fashionably Felonious we’re introduced to a fascinating new being: a Dhampir and hence, a huge new problem for Astrid and her hilarious crew of supernatural misfits who have become family. I really enjoy the Found Family trope and this is a prominent theme throughout the Hot Damned series.
Astrid the Chosen One and her Fated Mate, The Prince of the American Dominion, Ethan, have another supernatural crisis land in their laps just when they want to land, teleporting anywhere else, on vacation. Instead they go on a hunt for traitors of the worst kind –their own — Vampyres who would inhumanely impregnate a human female to create a monster that couldn’t survive in this world without revealing their whole existence and therefore they had to be silenced through a mercy killing. Astrid, the compassionate undead de facto Princesss, doesn’t like this practice, and with incredible empathy, it becomes her mission to find a way to save these poor “lost boys” from a terrible fate. Ethan, ultimately supports his wife’s ambition, but they find themselves in a role reversal, and Astrid with the help of her misfits have the incredible task of saving the love of Astrid’s undead life, Ethan.
I was concerned that the gap between books would confuse me, but there’s enough backstory woven in cleverly that quickly caught me up to speed; that was a huge relief. I still would recommend reading book 1 to fully comprehend the whole storyworld, though, at the least.
I loved the themes of female empowerment, and the powerful positive influence Astrid has on those around her. She’s a bit of a supernatural social justice warrior, with care and concern for all the strays she could fit under her mother-hen wing. I love that about Astrid.
There are a lot of characters to absolutely love, even if their antics are completely insane in a hilarious escalation of circumstances, and my favorite is Astrid for a number of reasons. I love this zany series and look forward to further reading!
Many thanks to the Author and Hambright PR for the gifted copy.
Always an exciting read with Peterman’s stories! If you like paranormal tales, lots of snark, sexy vampyres- and a few not-so-sexy ones - you’ll enjoy Robyn’s books. I’ll also add that Robyn’s stories are all so original and they’ll make you double think about what you thought you knew about beings other than humans.
Either I haven’t previously paid attention or this is the first book in this series that mentions Astrid aka Hottie McMountains and Ethan live in Kentucky. I’m sure she’s air it before, but this is the first time I thought about it. Kentucky?! Seems such an odd place for all of these “people” to live, but I guess staying out of the limelight is the point and Kentucky is the perfect place. Plus, it’s beautiful there.
One of the many cool things I’ve noticed in all of Robyn’s books that I’ve read is that there’s always a character that spouts random and useless, but interesting facts. For instance, Augustus (or it may have been Felix) said, “Other terms for fart include airborne toxic event, cutting the cheese, and chocolate air freshener.” I didn’t know about the Airborne Toxic Event one! That’s an alternative music group’s band name. By the way, their song “Sometime Around Midnight” is really good.
I only recently - like in the last 2 books of Robyn’s Midlife series - began taking note of the random facts and air them in my podcast (California Dreaming is its name, btw). Her Midlife series has tons of random facts if you enjoy learning things you’ll probably never have use for. Lol.
So, I think Robyn’s imagination is amazing. There’s so many avenues she takes us down into the other side of human. Her star characters are always in their literal fights for the greater good and bringing justice to those that have wronged others. She even makes Satan good, but not offensively so… it’s hard to explain, so you’ll need to read these books yourself.
I have questions - does Robyn talk to other people for ideas or are all the characters in her head only? Where does Robyn find all her useless facts? Is Robyn like me that when she hears or reads a useless fact, does she double check other sources to make sure what she found is accurate? I imagine a ton of research about numerous subjects must be done by Robyn. Crazy!
My next book is from the Inn at Holiday Bay series by Kathi Daley - she’s a small town cozy mystery author. The book was just released yesterday, “Evidence in the Espresso.”
Bye for now. See you in my next review! Deuces to your cabooses! ~ themoodyredhead ✨♥️✨
Fashionably Felonious- Robyn Peterman Hot Damned Book 19
Thank you @robynpetermanauthor and @hambright_pr for this gifted Ebook copy and ALC
Narrated By: Jessica Almasy
Narrator Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Jessica does an excellent job narrating these characters. I can’t imagine hearing anyone else’s voice doing these books. Her voice is perfection, pacing is perfection as is tone. She definitely brings these characters to life!
My Review: My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pages: 264 Genre: Paranormal/Fantasy Tropes: 🤣Laughter Inducing 👗Clothing optional 🍷Glass Breaking Voices 🪦Cemetery shenanigans 🧛♂️Vampire fight for supremacy 🧙♀️Witches are our friends 👹Devil is on our side and his brother too
After reading a very emotional book this book was a delight and a palate cleanser. It had me laughing the WHOLE way through! These characters are so unpredictable that you have absolutely no idea what they are going to say much less do next.
We are not even going to discuss the two tube top wearing ladies, the demon eating chips or the two desperate gentleman trying to come up with suitable names because Astrid strikes them with lightening after each of their suggestions.
There is a sweet love story interwoven in their high jinx’s. Astrid is The Chosen related to God and the Devil both and her hubby Ethan is the Vampire ruler. Plus everyone needs to meet Tracy and have her in their corner!
You definitely need to read this laughter inducing book. I’ve read others in this series and loved them all!
Fashionably Felonious was hilarious. Omg...I couldn't stop laughing. The author gave us a cast of quirky characters who said and did things that were unbelievably outrageous, and I couldn't put the book down.
This is the 19th book in the Hot Damned series and I was easily able to read it as a standalone. The story follows Vampyre fashionista Astrid, who is on a mission to save her people from Dhampir world domination schemes.
We are taken on quite a wild ride with Astrid and her eccentric crew who were silly, a bit raunchy and slightly ridiculous at times but there was the themes of female empowerment included in the story which I loved.
This is a highly entertaining, and hilarious paranormal romantic comedy and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to laugh.
🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 The narrator Jessica Almasy did a phenomenal job with this story. We got different voices, varying accents, and full personalities which had the humor leaping off the pages She made the story so much more fun to listen to and really brought it all to life. It was an absolute delight listening to her narrate this novel.
I started the Hot Damned series in ebook format back in 2022, so it’s been a while since I’ve immersed myself in Astrid’s chaotic immortal life. I’d forgotten just how much I enjoy the uproariously funny writing of Robyn Peterman.
While listening to Fashionably Felonious, I lost count of the number of times that I laughed out loud, snort laughed, or had a WTF look on my face. Yes, my kids asked me what was so funny multiple times. I also find misunderstood and mixed up idioms to be hilarious. I’m just nerdy like that, so Augustus was a particularly entertaining side character for me. My reaction to hearing Tracy’s version of the Serenity Prayer had me snort laughing in the Barnes & Noble Café. 🤣
While favorite past characters are back, including Uncle F*cker, Ethan, Pam, etc., there are also new characters introduced. Themes of inclusion, acceptance, being seen, and friendship, are all expertly woven into this paranormal romance.
Jessica Almasy is a supremely talented voice actor who brings the myriad of characters to life with distinctive voices and accents. It amazes me that she is able to perform so many characters in such a way that the listener forgets that it’s a single narrator creating this engaging listening experience. Jessica Almasy makes Robyn Peterman’s humor leap off the page and smack you in the funny bone! This is a book that I highly recommend listening to on audio, though I’m confident that reading with your eyes will also be a hilariously crazy ride!
This is hands down one of my favorite series ever and Peterman doesn’t disappoint with the next installment of Astrid and her merry band of misfits. It’s funny and heart warming. With all the sweet there is some twisted and completely wrong highlights that will make you laugh out loud or turn your stomach and it’s all streaked with foul mouth goodness that is an epic part of this series. Astrid just wants a vacay after dealing with all the stuffy snoots of the vampire world but a bloody note and a visit from her Uncle have her plans taking a detour. I don’t know how but the author continues to wow me with her weird quirks of her characters and still managed to me teary eyed among all the giggles! While I believe you need the entire series in your life, this book has a contained storyline you would be able to read and enjoy (but not as much if you know all the things)
Robyn's imagination is back at it again, and this one was hilarious, emotional, and such a great read! Martha and Jane are the two main side characters. They're literally the best, and they ended up fitting in this series perfectly. Their personalities and the banter were great. Poor Astrid is just looking to catch a break. Desperate for a vacation that is not forseen in the near future. Especially when her uncle shows her a surprise visit along with a note.
I loved the way the writing portrayed the story. It flowed effortlessly. I think this is my favorite of the series. I just loved the characters this go around so much.
Thanks so much to the author and Hambright Pr for the ARC!
Thank you to Hambright PR for this audiobook in exchange for an honest review!
This book was short, but was packed full of hilarious dialogue, and quirky characters. I haven't read any of the other books in the Hot Damned series, and I was able to jump into this and enjoy it with no problems!
🎧 Audiobook Experience: ✔️ Narrator Ate. This. Up. ✔️ Voice acting was so good I forgot real life existed ✔️ Perfectly timed delivery of jokes, drama, and chaos
🔥 How It Felt Reading This: ⏳ Me, thinking I’ll just listen for a few minutes: "I’ll pace myself." 💀 Two and a half hours later: "I HAVE FINISHED IT." 🌡️ Laughing uncontrollably at all of the hilarious shenanigans and misunderstandings.
And yet I read them all nonstop until I’d caught up entirely in a couple of weeks. Then I patiently ( only you know, without the actual patience mwahaha ) waited for more. And Every. Single. Time. Without. Fail. The releases in Robyn Petermans Hot Damned series win my heart and tears and amaze me and definitely make me laugh like a loon all in one go. This is one of my favorite series ever and that is saying something considering how much I read would probably shock any normal person.
Please keep going with this incredible series of found family, fashion, fun and fabulousness Robyn ! We love it and you !
I love every book by this author. The Hot Damned series has been a long running one and one of my favorites. In this one a cadre of vampires get together and hatch a plan to try to take over the world. They create Dampitres which are half vampires half human. They are non thinking beings and unknown to the group wanting to take over, they are not verbal nor are they able to follow instructions. Astrid and crew figure out their base and defeat the bad guys since they truly had no idea what they were dealing with. As usual, there are a lot of twists and turns but a lot of fun. I look forward to the next in this series.
That unrest could be the slippery slope to all Vamps deaths.
Satan pops in with a few mags of the 'Alien abduction ' type.
He puts her on the right road, but always like extracting teeth getting the truth straight from him.
I ADORE Martha and Jane ❤❤ they are me, but in Vamp form AND I could never pull off a boobtube or the splits like those foul mouthed wonders can.
I love Robyns imaginative ways of coming up with the deadly duo never calling Astrid by her name 😂😂😂 Boobielicious McChesticles or something like that 😂😂😂😂
Astrid and her profane sidekicks, Martha and Jane are back kicking evil's ass again! With new characters introduced to help them along the way, as well as Uncle Satan and Lizard, this latest adventure is a rollercoaster of emotions inspiring tale! I laughed out loud, I cried tears of joy and sadness, gasped with fright, and then my heart almost burst at the love filled ending. I don't know how Robyn Peterman does it, but she always delivers a book full of adventure, fun, and heartstring plucks! In Fashionably Felonious she has once again delivered as expected!
Did not fail to.disappoint. I've spent the afternoon engrossed and laughing. Astrid and Ethan, Martha, Jane and Lizard.along with a few new characters and with Uncle Fucker ie Lucifer take on a group of power hungry Vamps trying to.create an army to take over North America. The characters Robyn creates are unique and sometimes profane but always entertaining. This series is just one of her many that entertain me when I need a.reason to go into her worlds that she creates. You will not be disappointed.
One of my favorite things about picking up a book by Robyn Peterman is knowing I am going to laugh! She writes characters who are so funny and sassy and quirky.
I loved paranormal stories and this one has vampires, dhampirs, demons and…aliens? And uncle satan jumps in too! The banter between the characters is probably my favorite part of this book - you will laugh out loud, cringe and laugh again.
This story is also emotional and heartwarming and fun to read! I loved Astrid, Martha, Jane and Tracey…add in Ethan and Lizard and we have the most eccentric, foul mouthed group!
All Astrid wants to do is take a nice vacation with her man, and now some rogue vampires have gone and created Dhampirs, trying to take over with world domination. Her and her crazy friends will go on and adventure to try to stop what's happening. If you like stories with vampires, angels, demons, and some voodoo mixed in and the most hilarious banter, you will love this book.
And I suggest, if you are going to listen to the audiobook of this, you use headphones because the occasional "I have a boner" is yelled out along with multiple swear words in true Robyn fashion!
This book is a bit of an emotional roller coaster. It will have you laughing out loud but it’s also going to make you a bit emotional.
Astrid and the gang are back at it again! Joined by a few new faces. Join in on their newest adventure and hunt down the evil doers. This time the villain has done something highly illegal in the vampire world. Satan of course is his usual delightful self in the way only he can be. But *gasp* was he actually selfless this time? Join the journey and find out.
Fashionably Felonious is the latest snark, side splitting, pee yourself laugh fest for Astrid and the gang. I am absolutely head over heels with the Fashionably stories. Astrid has to wrangle up all of the ladies to save another day. Martha, Jane and now Tracy backup Astrid like the best besties complete with antics and potty mouths. When all is said and done, the world is saved, the F word has been dropped everywhere, and Astrid's gang has expanded. Bring on the next Fashionably!
It has been years since I've read this series and I had the opportunity to read this so I thought why not? I've only read the first two books and I honestly didn't need to read them in order to understand this book but reading them would have made the experience better. I like the plot of this book and some of the characters. The two older ladies are just annoying, especially with the names for everyone. Some of the other characters interactions were funny sometimes and sometimes it was over the top.
This is the 19th installment in The Hot Damned series, which I had never heard of before now, and honestly I am shocked that I haven't read more of these!
I listened to the audiobook, and it was such a quick, hilarious listen with kickass MCs that give Im-a-vampire-and-will-destroy-you-but-also-this-is-my-circus-and-these-are-my-monkeys vibes, and an absolutely unhinged cast of side characters that are a bit insane and dimwitted.
Just when you think she can't make the series any better, she goes and gives us this. Astrid and the gang are always getting into something crazy. I laughed way too much with the muttered comments, eye rolls, and the crazy nicknames. This is by far one of my favorite series. Please keep them coming!
Another great book in the Fashionable series. I laughed so hard while I was reading it. It definitely brought home the saying that family goes beyond blood...it's who you choose that makes the family. The name calling and the naming of body parts did not disappoint! My list is even longer. I love it!
Once again action, adventure and outright hilarity await us in this, adventure. Someone has been naughty and making Dhampires. Astrid and her foul mouthed crew, along with a few new faces, must track down the perpetrators and stop it before it destroys everyone. With lots of laughs and hilarity this is the perfect laugh out loud read to lift your spirits
What an absolute roller-coaster ride of emotions. From trying to figure out how and why I understood every insult and laughing out loud in public, lol to . wanting to cry and yelling I'll be your friend! I loved having this crazy group of classics come together. Yes, they're classic and never want to let them go.
What a fantastic story! I laughed so much and even had a few tears! I have read everything this author has put out and I've never been disappointed! I definitely recommend this book! I can hardly wait for the next! ( I just know Astrid will have a shitshow to deal with when they return from vacation lol)
