The last time I was within armโ€™s reach of Zaki Marsch, team prankster extraordinaire, he wrecked my carefully replicated vintage gown. Since then, Iโ€™ve avoided himโ€”and hockeyโ€”like the plague.

But the obnoxious defenseman has morphed into a distinguished ginger-bearded dad who dotes on his girls and wears tutus on command. The attention-seeking entertainer is still there, but this new softer version has me in knots โ€ฆ

Now, out of the blue, heโ€™s asking me to be the nanny for his adorable 5-year-old twins. The offer is tempting. The girls are sweet, and Zaki insists heโ€™ll be traveling with his team half the time.

Iโ€™ve laid down the ground rules: My home, my turf, my way. No pranks, no chaos, and definitely no melting my resolve with that grin and little dogs trailing at his heels. Heโ€™s everything Iโ€™m notโ€”loud, extroverted, and constantly in motion. Iโ€™m a small-town introvert whoโ€™d rather spend my evenings sewing Regency gowns or reading than watching hockey.

But between backyard rink lessons, school book fairs, and at-home ballet recitals led by his girls, Zakiโ€™s charm starts to break through my defenses. And those stolen momentsโ€”puppies in his lap, his girls giggling through bedtime storiesโ€”are making it harder to remember why I donโ€™t like him.

Itโ€™s just a job, right? Easy. Totally professional. Iโ€™ve got this.

Everytime Kerry Evelyn releases a new book I let out a little (okay a giant) squeal. This story made me smile so much and so many giggles. I will always be a fan of Ryleigh when it comes to little kids in Kerry's books, but oh man these twins are fighting for her spot. I am officially a huge fan of the soda shoppe and all of the new things this book brought to the town. I love how well Kerry did the nanny trope so it's cute and fun without being well...off. It was just done so well. I can just imagine and feel the amazingness of the dresses and creations Arwyn makes. Her and Zaki mesh so well together and are just snuggly cute as kittens. So happy to have read this amazing addition to Kerry's writing collection. Don't miss out on this super sweet and cute story, you'll be "sew matcha in love" with it.

This series is a MUST READ! This is the third of at least four books ( the next a continuation of this story). The first two are about two sisters who each have/had issues growing up which still plagued them but with love and determination they were able to cope with them.

This third book deals with a shy introvert who sees and designs dresses and imagines herself at the fancy balls her dresses will attend. She also has been a nanny and when a handsome hockey player asks her to nanny his two twin five year old daughters initially she is reluctant to accept because of what he did the first time they met. But she needs the money so she reluctantly accepts and falls in love with the two little girls. As she sees him interacting with them, she finds her feelings changing and when he asks her to a ball sheโ€™s always wanted to attend but never has she accepts his offer and finds they both are in love with each other!

Kerryโ€™s stories touch your heart because of how real the characters are in real life! We all have struggles maybe not the ones these people have but they are real and with love and understanding can be overcome.

Being shy and introverted myself it was easy to identify with Arwyn (Winnie) as she merged her imaginary world into the real world and strengthens her bond with her two young charges as well as developing a lasting bond with their dad through talks and an incident that takes place at his mountain cabin.

I truly love this series and I wholeheartedly and enthusiastically recommend all three books pus the upcoming book to you as books you must read! Kerry is a masterful storyteller extraordinaire. who will delight you with her wit and charming characters youโ€™ll fall in love with immediately! They really are so lifelike that you believe what youโ€™re reading is true and it just may be somewhere out there in the world!
Thatโ€™s why I identify with her writing! I can feel the characters emotions just as much as I can find myself breathing! It canโ€™t be described any other way!

If youโ€™re looking for clean, no spice friends to something more I urge you to get this series! Iโ€™ve already read That Thing You Brew, Pumpkin Spice Spice Baby, this one (Sew Matcha in Love) and will be reading the one following it, Sun, Sea and Blueberry Tea next! Youโ€™ll fall in love with everyone of these books and the people you meet in Palmer City!

They are absolutely delightful and I guarantee youโ€™ll never be sorry you read these books! In fact I dare say youโ€™ll be reading more of her books because youโ€™ll love what youโ€™re reading so youโ€™ll be picking up another one of her series when youโ€™ve read these four!

โ€œLet it go, let it go!โ€

Sew Matcha in Love by Kerry Evelyn (a standalone book in the great Coffee Loft series) is the story of loner Arwyn (I just love that name!) who gets roped in to become a temporary nanny to the daughters of obnoxious hockey player and prankster Zaki.

I just loved this book! I have read almost all the Coffee Loft books and this book has become one of my favourites. From the very first page that I read, I knew I would love this book immensely. Arwyn is a great and lovely character, someone who is content to be alone and who tries to engage more (her word of the year). She loves to make costumes and does not care of her wardrobe is somewhat old fashioned. She needs money for restoring her home and even though she does not want to be anywhere near Zaki, she takes the job. Zaki is the great and charming hockey player, and he adores his little girls. He does everything for them and is a great father. He is also a great prankster and there are some hilarious scenes in this lovely book.

Zakiโ€™s daughters are just adorable. They are great little girls and they immediately take a liking to Arwyn and she to them. And I love how the girls are wild about the movies Frozen.
The chemistry between Zaki and Arwyn is great. When they get to know each other better and also spend more time with each other and the girls, a relationship blossoms.

The writing style is flowing, great and the book is so easy and relaxing to read, that I really had a hard time putting the book down.

At the end of the book, you can (and must!) download the bonus epilogue and that one was so great! I loved how the girls made a lost of requirements for a stepmother and that was really funny and so adorable to read. And there is another chapter where all four of them go travel, also to Disney and where they visit Arundel with Anna and Elsa. And of course, Zaki does everything for his daughters to make it an event of a lifetime.

At the end there is a sentence with made me so happy! And I wonder, will there be a follow up book to Sew Matcha in Love?

As I said, I have read a whole lot of the Coffee Loft books and I loved them all, but Sew Matcha in Love I loved immensely! The setting, the characters, the story-line and plot, together with a great writing style, with romance (of course), humour, together with overcoming grief and illness, all made this a book I can totally recommend!

Ms. Evelyn never fails at delivering a sweet wholesome romance packed with wonderful characters, sports fun, and beautiful storytelling! This story is one that first impressions are not all what they seem and thereโ€™s more than meets the eye with people when you take the chance to get to know them. An opposites attract, single dad tropes!

I usually always rave about Ms. Evelynโ€™s male leads and while I do absolutely love and adore Zaki, this book just really has me loving Arwyn (aka Wynnie). First off, I just adore her name. She has class and has this โ€œthis is meโ€ confidence that is subtle and humble. I love her sense of style as the Victorian age is one of my favorites! I would love to be her friend in real life. Throughout this whole book I kept wishing I could actually see her gowns she designs/makes as well as the ones she wears. And donโ€™t even get me started on her home! Oh how I would love to visit it!! She had a rough first impression of Zaki but that all changed as she began to nanny for his sweet twin girls. I admired that even though she had a slightly negative impression, she gave Zaki and his girls a chance and decided to help care for his girls.

Zaki is totally handsome, physically fit, and he has a fun charisma and charming personality. He enjoys a good prank and being a little mischievous with his teammates but is the most caring and down to earth dad. He is definitely thoughtful of othersโ€ฆeven with his ex-wife despite their marriage not working out. He is definitely swoonworthy! I have twin girls myself that are close to the same age of his in the story and so it was fun to relate in that manner.

I loved the growth and journey of their relationship. It was fun and flirty, and they had not only had sweet physical chemistry but a deeper connection type one as well.

I love seeing past characters pop in and get subtle updates on how their relationships are going. I loved Monty and Tashaโ€™s story and I was delighted by their cameos and updates. You gotta love those loyal friends nudging and โ€œpushingโ€ Zaki and Arwyn together.

I thoroughly enjoyed the family themes, fun pranks, hockey funny, beautiful gowns & galas and more! There wasnโ€™t anything I didnโ€™t love about this story. Sweet, wholesome, clean with fun and romance!

Another winner in the Coffee Loft, Mountain Brew multi-author series! I received an advanced copy of this book and all my thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

Oh my stars! Everything about this book was brilliant. I do not think I have ever fallen in love with both main characters more so than I did for this story.

Arwyn is so serious about life and loves clothing from another time. She is a talented seamstress who loves to dress to impress. She does not even own a pair of jeans.

Zaki is a hockey player who loves a good prank. He is all muscle and all man, but this bullish athlete melts into a puddle around his sassy five year twin girls. He would do anything for them. When he needs a nanny, someone suggests Arwyn. Arywn is not so sure about Zaki, as they had a past encounter which left her with a bad taste in her mouth.

These two characters are so opposite that they are on two different ends of the spectrum, but two little girls will help them find common ground. I just loved the twins. They were so sassy and full of life, but they also knew how to pull the strings to put something in motion that they wanted.

Arwyn gave off Mary Poppins vibes and was the perfect nanny. She just needed to loosen up a bit. She is in the perfect household to learn how to have fun and loosen up, maybe even attend her first hockey game.

Zaki was an big old teddy bear underneath all that muscle and beard. I loved him from the beginning. The team pranks were hilarious. I found myself laughing so hard several times.

Even if you are not a hockey romance fan, you will enjoy this sweet romance because it so much more. The soda shop, the Coffee Loft and everything about this town will invite you into a world of make believe for a time, especially since you will not want to put this book down.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Kerry Evelyn just wrote the sweetest story! I absolutely fell in love with this story. These characters were so sweet and entertaining. I loved how Zaki a single dad with two of the most adorable little girls find the perfect nanny in Arwyn.

Zaki is a single dad hockey player and he's in need of a nanny. He asks Arwyn if she would help him but for her to do that she needs to move the girls to her house while he's away because it's easier since she runs her business out of her garage. Zaki helps pay for repairs that needed to be done on her victorian house to make sure things are safe for the girls. He has the biggest heart by making sure those girls are taken care of. He is also the best girl dad. He will do whatever those two want him to do and he does it without blinking an eye. You will fall in love with Zaki so fast!

Arwyn is a seamstress who makes beautiful dresses for people in her town. When the girls move in she makes sure they have a beautiful room and play area so they feel at home. She takes these two under her wings like their her own children and it's the most beautiful thing.

I loved seeing how Zaki and Arwyn's relationship grows. They are just so sweet and respectable of each other. They have fun and laugh together. When their with the girls your heart will be bursting open. We also get to have some of our favorite characters make appearances. I love all the characters but when Monty shows up OH BOY!! That man will have you swoon and laughing your butt off!

I would HIGHLY recommend this book and this series. If you want a Sweet, LOL, Fun, Swoony and Heart Melting book then this book is for you!

Thank you Kerry Evelyn for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

Sew Matcha In Love grew on me slowly. I know I came to this story kind of backward (I only vaguely remembered the bonus epilogue of Pumpkin Spice Spice Baby and the last book from this world I had read was Celebration on Ice, so, yeah, backward), but I loved the MCs. Zaki had my heart since that epilogue, and his girls stole the show as much as he's used to doing, but I loved how Arwyn (or Wynnie) was the perfect fit and complement to that family. I enjoyed all the Frozen references and how Wynnie would take care of them, and I also found admirable her love for all things past, sewing, and being herself unapologetically. Still, I loved how she and Zaki balanced and challenged each other, and their slow burn to falling in love (that kiss was worth the wait! Though the almost-kiss almost killed me, lol!)

Of course, as with any series, it was lovely to see past characters like Tasha and Monty, Penny and Xavier, and fans of the series will enjoy recognizing other characters. Seriously, one of the best marks of an author is when they've built such a great community that you love catching up about what's going on with previously met characters.

Overall, a really beautiful addition to this Sweet Hockey Romance series by a clearly knowledgeable author on that matter, that packs some serious stuff dealt delicately (divorce, separation, depression within the marriage), humor in the form of a continued prank war, all the Frozen references to your heart's content, and some swoony romance to balance it all out. ~ 4.75 stars rounded up to 5, and completely recommended!

The more I read the hockey stories by Kerry Evelyn, the more I realize that while some of these characters are related to each other, itโ€™s the found family that continues to shine through.

Zaki finally gets a book and what a book it is!ย  This prankster of the Denver Edge has a soft spot or spots as it were, his twin daughters, Amelie and Isla!ย  These two โ€œFrozenโ€ obsessed kindergarteners are their daddyโ€™s pride and joy!ย  Occasionally these half pints steal the spotlight, but thatโ€™s what kids do.ย  Zaki needs a nanny, as his sister, Sofi, must return to her life in Montreal and thankfully some โ€˜friendsโ€™ are all too happy to volunteer Arwyn for the job.

Arwyn canโ€™t stand to be in the same room as Zaki, so that presents a problem when sheโ€™s asked to not only make him a custom โ€œKristoffโ€ costume but to nanny for his girls!ย  This is a short-term arrangement where they will go their separate directions at the end of the season.ย  If the two princesses in training werenโ€™t so darn cute!ย  The ladies forge a quick and solid bond, leaving Zaki a bit befuddled!ย  Somewhere along the way, the adults grow closer, additionally they realize there is way more to each other than a prankster and introverted seamstress.ย

This story has a few months of tough stuff, but it helps shape the depth that we feel towards the protagonists!ย  There are some moments of raw vulnerability experienced by each of them that endear the readers to them as individuals and as a collective unit.ย  Highly encourage you to read other Coffee Loft and Palmer City Voltage books before diving in so you can better appreciate the players and their women.ย  Bravo Kerry!

I am SEW in Love with Zaki and Arwyn! Every book of Kerryโ€™s is my new favorite. I canโ€™t help it, she has a way with words. This one had me laughing so much. The prank war continues and these were hilarious! I smiled through the super sweet aww moments, and there were A LOT. Winnie is the BEST nanny, she is calm and patient as well as so very fun. I just adore her and the twins relationship so much. Frozen obsessed sass-tots is something I understand very well (mom to 4 girls here). I live that life right now and everything she did with them is something I do too. I connected with the characters and I love when an author can make you feel like part of the family. Zakiโ€™s probably my favorite teddy bear of a man. He literally is a breath of fun with an accent! Oy! How could I not love him!? His life is chaos, her life is calm. They came together in an explosion of beautiful chemistry and healing. I just couldnโ€™t put this down, I bet youโ€™ll feel the same too. I definitely recommend this book, I canโ€™t wait for her to write more! Sew matcha waiting for, go read Sew Matcha in love and fall in love with Zaki and Arwyn! I dare you! ;)

She's quiet and reserved, but has made a promise to herself to be more engaging this year. He is a prankster and outgoing, but his life now revolves around his 5 year old twin girls. What on earth could these two possibly have in common? When Zaki finds himself in need of a Nanny, his friends have the perfect solution, Arwyn. The energetic hockey player and his Frozen loving girls move in with Arwyn in her victorian house so that she can take care of the girls while he is travelling for work. The more time the pair spend together, the walls that they've built up begin to break down, and what they thought was impossible, suddenly looks possible. Kerry Evelyn has created the imaginary town of Palmer City and the delightful characters that live there, complete with their own hockey team! She spins her tales so smoothly that you are drawn into the story and can't wait to see what will happen next. Her addition to the Coffee Loft series are a fabulous addition to her Palmer City Voltage series. Trust me, once you start reading one of her stories you'll want to read all of her series. Keep your eyes open for Easter Eggs and crossovers.

Each time I learn that there is a new release from Kerry Evelyn on the way my excitement levels goes up several notches. I am so very proud to be on the team and thank Kerry for my ARC of this book. These comments are truly my opinion. I absolutely adored this book. It was easily 5 stars. Our female MC was so different from the many we have met in other books in this series. She somewhat stands out with her uniqueness. Our male MC was somebody I think every woman would want to meet. Nothing is more attractive than a truly loving father. The twins were adorable and I don't wish to give anything away so that is all I will say. For fans of Kerry Evelyn this is one you absolutely won't want to miss. For those who have never read Kerry's books before this is a fine one to read and you will definitely want to go back and read many of her others. I can't wait for Kerry's next book and know that I will likely read this one again.

I love a good opposites attract story. And this one was adorable! We have a loud, extroverted hockey player whose idea of a good time is to prank everyone and a sweet, introvert who loves to sew Regency costumes and read.

Zaki and Wynnie had a not so meet cute involving a cinnamon bun and a prank. The nickname Wynnie-bun that came from this encounter just HAD ME! Wynnie doesn't love the nickname as much as I do....

When Zaki is in need of a nanny, however, the Coffee Loft friend group (matchmakers, the bunch of them!) convince Wynnie, a certified au pair, to help him out. Not that it would be difficult to watch his adorable twins, but Wynnie has tried to avoid Zaki since the bun incident. But she has a big heart and takes on the job. And her life changes forever!

The chemistry and BANTER between these two is just perfect. I absolutely love the Coffee Loft series!!

This is a clean romance and part of a series. It can be read as a stand-alone.

Arwyn lives in Palmer City and is a seamstress. She tends to dress in a historical Victorian style. She is tricked into taking care of Zaki Marsch's girls since his sister is leaving and unable to continue taking care of them while he plays hockey. She's had a run in with him before, but decides to help out. they end up getting along better than they thought. He is able to help her with getting her house fixed while she helps with the kids. She's enjoying the family atmosphere. What happens when they leave?

This was a really cute addition to the different books based on these hockey players. I really enjoyed it. It is a definite must read!!!

Such a delightful, fun book to read! The story was very well written and the characters had so much depth they jumped off the page and came to life in my living room!! I didnโ€™t want this book to end! The five year old twins are adorable and precocious, you never know what theyโ€™re going to say or do next :-) This book has everything, from pranks and laugh out loud moments, to moments that will tug at your heart strings and make you want to give the characters a big old hug! There are references to Anne of Green Gables and Mary Poppins also, favorite childhood books, which adds another layer of depth to the story. This book is a standalone, but so many favorite characters from other books by Kerry put in an appearance that youโ€™ll want to read all of them! I very highly recommend this book!!

Such a sweet story! I absolutely loved the matchup of an introverted, quirky female character with an extroverted prankster. On the surface, these two are as opposite as you can get. But as the story unfolds, you get a deeper glimpse into what really drives these two & discovery that their similarities are where it really counts in life. Their banter is endearing & youโ€™ll find yourself cheer on their love story! This was an amazing storyline that leaves you with a little bit of fairytale mixed with a massive dose of reality, something I think most of us can relate to! And thereโ€™s nothing more appealing than a masculine man that is a doting father & an unexpected romantic.

Sew Matcha In Love is the latest installment in the Coffee Loft series and I am here for it! I am always up for a return trip to Palmer City and its many wonderful residents. It is such a sweet story; Arwyn and Zaki are so cute together and his daughters, Isla and Amelie, are absolutely adorable! It was great catching up with Penny, Xavier, Tasha, and Monty from the previous Coffee Loft books, and I loved the return of the prank wars between Zaki and Monty! Their stunts are always hilarious! Arwyn and Zaki couldnโ€™t be more different, but they end up bonding over raising his daughters and fall in love. They definitely bring out the best in each other! I highly recommend this book!

I absolutely adored this story! Arwyn's confidence and ability to "march to the beat of a different drum" is so refreshing, and I loved that she was able to bring that peace, calm, and centeredness to Zaki, Isla, and especially Amelie. Isla and Amelie are stars of this book in their own right, and you can't help but fall in love with them! And Zaki... well, โ™กswoonโ™ก! The way he absolutely is devoted to his daughters and is so willing to be silly and interact and play with them is just the sweetest. And the way he falls for Arwyn... well, you're just going to HAVE to read the book, OK?!? You're going to LOVE it!

This one had me from the first pages. I love how Kerry shows her knowledge and love of hockey in her books. It's a dual POV, swoony kisses only, slow burn, opposites attract, hockey-playing single dad, a seamstress vintage-loving nanny, cute puppies, regency ball, and two very ornery Frozen-obsessed ballet-loving twins. Kerry has such a way with words. The thoughtfulness of how she wrote the emotions in this book was just incredible. I laughed, cried, and fell in love with Zaki, Arwyn, and the girls. I have no doubt that this will be one of my favorite books of this year.

Iโ€™m was so excited for Zakiโ€™s story. This story has a lot of side characters from previous stories so you will be happy to see their lives in the future from their story. I adored seeing Zaki as a girl dad. He loves those girls with all his heart and would do anything for them. Arwyn is such an amazing, under stated character. She may keep to herself more but she is firm in who she is and I absolutely love that.
This is a dual pov, clean romance. It is part of a multi author series but can be read as a stand alone novel.

I just love the way Kerry brings two completely different people together n a way that allows them both to make the other one better. Zaki is such a lunatic, and Wynnie is such a homebody, and they definitely had a rocky start! Twins who need a nanny and two dogs who just need to bark make this such a fun story! All of the Frozen references, the Regency era all over the place, and visiting with characters from so many of Kerryโ€™s other books made this a quick and sweet read for sure!

I loved this adorable story, Zaki and Arwynโ€™s story is sweet and swoony. I love how Arwyn (Wynnie) was so uniquely her and dressed in what she loved. She is such a talented seamstress, and I loved seeing that. Zaki is a hockey player and a big prankster but also a wonderful dad, and his twins are cute and fun and add so much to the story. The banter was fun, and I loved how their relationship developed slowly, it was so heartwarming, and beautiful I didnโ€™t want the story to end.

This book! Wow! I just finished and I don't think I have adequate words to describe what I am feeling.

It's so sweet and yet so natural how the characters fell in love, how lovely the kids and the dogs were and just how everything fit together.

I love how Kerry gives the characters their own personality, so they are not just a part of the hockey team or their gf/wives. And then the inclusion of Anne of Green Gables, Regency Ball and ABBA...it was a pleasure reading this book โค๏ธ

Part of an interconnected series and can be read as a standalone. However the characters overlap with other books and their story will continue in future books.

They have friends in common and when he needs help with his daughters she becomes the nanny. Be prepared for a lot of references to the movie Frozen and if you gain access to the bonus epilogue a reaction similar to "Wait what?" at the end. I can't wait for the next book.

REVIEW
Arwyn takes everything seriously, so why did her friend set this up.

Zaki is the team clown more or less. He is a great dad though.

This story was another winner in this series by this author. She always writes a story full of love, and laughter.

Cozy Read

Okay, picture this! A single dad which happens to be a chaotic hockey jock falls for a quiet, calm mannered nanny/seamstress who loves all things vintage and can speak French fluently. What else is included? Swoony Kisses, twin sisters who are obsessed with Frozen, a luxurious regency ball, and a dual POV. This novel was sweet, clean, and lovable. I would definitely recommend if youโ€™re looking for a cozy and relaxing read.

Strength and Grace if An Introvert

I loved Arwyn from the beginning of the book. She was comfortable with who she was, knew her strengths, and loved her friends and home. Enter Zaki and his girls with a request that was hard to say no to. The story is just so adorable, bringing in FROZEN characters as well as Anne of Green Gables. There's the crazy hockey teammate dynamics and antics spicing things up as well. The ending is just perfect.

SEWED!

Kerry Evelyn's Sew Matcha in Love is a fun-packed, laughter- and happiness-filled, beautiful love story. Complete with a bearded mountain man, two gorgeous princesses, and two barking guards, Kerry's third Coffee Loft is one of a kind.

I absolutely loved the way they each helped each other stretch and grow. Finding love when you least expect it is a dream we all share.

I absolutely recommend this shiny sweet romance!

Zaki and Wynnie couldnโ€™t be any more different, but their sensitivity to each otherโ€™s needs opens them up to a solid, if unlikely, friendship that has no choice but to grow into more once Zakiโ€™s precocious twins are involved.

This story has the sweetest Mary Poppins vibes, and Zaki is the best emotional support extrovert ever. The way he gently breaks down Wynnieโ€™s walls melted me from the inside out.
