A fast-paced short story that is full of action, suspense, magic, rebellion, and strength. I enjoyed the overall story and the glimpses into each of the characters thoughts.

From the end of it there looks like more ahead and I’d be interested to see where things go.

I loved this book! The mix of dragon magic, rebellion, and slow-burn alliance between Kaelan and Elira had me hooked from the start. Their journey from enemies to allies felt so natural and powerful, and the worldbuilding was amazing.There’s action, heart, and just the right amount of tension. I couldn’t stop reading. If you love fantasy with epic stakes and strong characters fighting for something bigger than themselves, you’ll love this one too.

This short story seemed to jump around and felt like huge plot points were skipped to keep the word count down. Perhaps if I had realised and read the precious story in the same world I would have enjoyed this more.
