Spell slinging, sword swinging, and the luck of the dice have shaped the lives of the Stranger Things boys well before they had real monsters to face. This D&D Crossover features Eddie Munson’s Rise to defacto leader of the Hellfire Club, his recruitment of Lucas, Dustin, and Mike, and glimpses into the fantasy worlds they conquered together. • Exciting new D&D focused prequel to the events of Stranger Things Season 4! • Four issue series. • Cover by French illustrator, freelance fantasy artist, and fantasy author Magali Villanueve! Known for her work on franchises including The Gathering, A Song of Ice and Fire, Star Wars, Warhammer, The Lord of the Rings, and Call of Cthulhu.
Some much needed Hellfire content! I loved the backstory and learning new tidbits of information, Eddie is just as loveable as ever, and I'm adoring the feelings of kinship and finding a place to belong. I'm super excited for the next issue!
Maybe I Am Not Such A Huge Fan Or Huge Lover Of The Stranger Things TV Show & Franchise & POP CULTURE Sensation That It Had Become & It Still Is Until Now & Perhaps Hopefully It Still Remains Forever As Such(Even Though I Have Watched 2 Damn Time The Entire Previous 3 Seasons Of The At Stranger Things TV Show On My Laptop & I Habe Not Seen Yet Neither Season 4 & Neither Season 5)But Still I Like A Lot The Show & The Story & I Love Very Much Some Of The Characters(My Favourite Characters Always Been & Always Will Be Max, Will, Robin, Jonathan, Argyle & The Delightful Derek From Some Of The Clips Of Season 5 I Have Seen On YouTube)But Overall This Issue Is Very Good Fun & Entertaining Very Emotional & Reminiscing Coming Of Age Story But Also An Introduction To Eddie Munson The Leader & Dungeon Master Of The Hellfire Club Also This Issue 1 Is The Beginning Of A Very Much Better Prequel Story Of Eddie Munson & A Very Good Prelude For Season 4 Even For Season 5 Which Is That The 2 Remaining Last Seasons That I Am About To Hopefully Watch Soon One Day!!!!
Really liked the latest "Stranger Things" graphic novel "The Rise of Hellfire"!!! :D It told more of Eddie's backstory and how he got into playing D&D in the late 70s, while also showing how Dustin, Mike, and Lucas met Eddie and joined the Hellfire Club in 1985 before season 4 started. Fun too to see scenes of what their D&D games look like and what the characters look like in the game too.
Very short GN. Didn't realise it was only like 10 pages long when I preordered it. Nice illustrations but needs more Eddie 😂 bit disappointing as stories go, but 3 more issues to go, hopefully I'll feel differently by the end.
this was absolutely fantastic, especially as a fan of Eddie Munson. I also appreciate that it gives mild spoilers and kind of catches you up with the story in the show so far. easy 5 stars
