Sebastian Crenshaw has done it again! After accidentally damaging the town's beloved statue, he is tasked with helping raise funds for its replacement. he soon runs afoul of Amos Rutledge, the local grump, and that's when the real problems begin! 

Along with his brother, Ethan, and friend Samantha, Sebastian is soon thrust into a world of conspiracies and magic, involving not just our world but a secret realm called Subterrestria. Their adventure will bring them into contact with a host of magical characters, including a trickster named Balvador, an intrepid little elf called Zerc Littlebottom, and a variety of mythological creatures.

Subterrestria is under imminent attack by an evil magnate named Emil Rottler, who has plans to destroy the kingdom and exploit both the magic and resources of that enchanted realm. Will Sebastian and the others be able to defend it before it's too late?

I really wanted to love this book, it’s a genre that’s in my wheelhouse. But, it was hard for me to read. It’s about teenagers, but they all speak like English Professors. The disconnect between their ages and their vocabulary/grammar was just too much for me.
