Kim has followed her dreams right into the film industry, writing screenplays for production companies in Los Angeles, as well as for her own production company, Asp Films with business partner, Kelly Neal. Their first feature film, Self Portrait – written, directed and co-produced by Kim – premiered in Denver in June of 2013.
She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her beloved cats. She is always adding to her ever-growing collection of swords and historic memorabilia. She is a huge fan of music, including musical theater. The "musical" love of her life is Sarah Brightman, who she tosses a mention of in every book she can.

What a ride! This is the eighth book in the Destiny Series (fantasy/mystical fiction with a flair of historical fiction mixed in), and the second book in Ancients, the prequel trilogy to the first six books. You really don't want to miss it! And, don't forget, this story is not over yet!
First, let me say you need to read the first seven books in the series before picking this one up or you'll not understand a lot of what is happening. At the end of this review is a brief set of snippets about the previous books in the series.
The Found is book nine in the series and book two in the stories of the Ancients. The author continues to reveal new aspects of this incredible world that coexists with our own physical world. We learn more about the Ankou and the world where their dead live on. The series has shown us a lot about the Druids, but here we meet the ancient ones. There's a romance and there's a search for a lost mother's soul and there is Enori, young and Ankou, who is taken in and mothered by Brielle, an ancient Druid. We meet some exceptional humans who join in this journey and who appear as though they may become important in the next book in the series.
Meanwhile, the God of Chaos is still threatening and the battle between good and evil continues.
I am definitely enjoying this series and recommend it to anyone who enjoys great world building and a heart pounding story that mixes adventure and tender scenes. It is well written and in turn, fun, frightening and thought provoking. I'm definitely looking forward to the next installment!

Here's an idea of what's in the first eight books in the series. She Who Would Be King (Book 1) introduces a small set of characters and sets up a small part of the world for this series. There are bad guys, action, surprises and a love story. I was completely captivated! Daughter of Ankou (Book 2) adds new elements to the world. New characters were introduced. And the arc of the series begins to appear (but lots of surprises to come!) In some ways this book was a classic tale of good versus evil. Doors (Book 3) continues to build the world and shifts focus to Roishin, daughter of Cateline and Fallon, while keeping you in touch with other characters you've come to love. It's is a story of figuring out who you are and determining how your life will proceed. And it is a story of accepting your gifts. There is beauty and sadness and joy as life continues to move the characters along. She Who Dreams (Book 4) is a book of growth and becoming. Roishin's family is growing and she and others around her are discovering new depths of power. But sometimes kin can disappoint and relationships can fracture. Evil exists in the world! Shadows (Book 5) introduces both new characters and new planes of existence. It shows us the past and how hard it is to fight evil when it comes calling. But by showing the past, it sets us up to long for the hinted at possible journey from devastation to unity. She Who Would Be Queen (Book 6) tells a story of betrayal and war and incredible depth of connection. It continues the mission to free the populace of Bowhar. And it brings us new characters. The Lost (Book 7 and the first book in the Ancients trilogy), introduces us to the Ancients and tells the story of one who was taken from the homelands and who became lost to her people. There's much to her story but you will see the effort it takes to attempt to rescue her when she catches the eye of forces for evil. Which side will she choose? Will she even have a choice?
