Dive into the enchanting world of Harper, the latest sensation in popular Ocean Tales series. Where imagination meets the deep blue sea, captivating young minds with rhyming tales and vivid illustrations.
Harper, The Speedy Humpback Whale is a heart-warming picture book written in lyrical rhyme that will be cherished by children, ocean lovers, teachers and parents.
Meet Harper, the humpback whale who's constantly in a hurry. While the other whales journey north for their annual migration, Harper dashes ahead. But as challenges arise, will Harper discover the magic of slowing down and appreciating the world around her?
“I'm assuming you're off to the big north migration?" the old whale asked Harper, who groaned with frustration. He offered, "Young lady, I'll give you a ride! It would be your best choice, but I’ll let you decide.”
She accepted the ride, and they went on their way. But the old whale swam slowly—to Harper's dismay. "Mr. Whale!" she exclaimed, "Could you pick up the pace?" "I don't think so," he answered. "We're not in a race!"

This book is just perfection; a gorgeous story, seamless rhyme, a lovey (and very important) message and the most stunning illustrations. The books in this series are some of my favourite books - this one is probably my no.1!
Might be a bit scary for younger readers, but cute story with a great message and something busy caregivers and parents can read with kids and take something from too. Also nice that it's educational.
A great tale of a story about an impatient little whale. She learns to enjoy the scenery around her and take her time- she is taught by a nice senior whale. 😀
