V-Clan #4

Kodiak Sector

Rate this book
Welcome to Kodiak Sector, home to the most vicious Alphas in the Z-Clan world.
It’s a deadly place for an Omega like me.
But my intended mate is determined to drag me back to the hell I came from, all to save his sister.

He thinks I know how to find her.
I don’t.
I just see things. Like the future.
And right now, it’s full of savagery and pain.

Until suddenly, my visions disappear.
Suggesting a fate worse than death.
One I begin to understand when I go into heat in the underground caves of Kodiak Sector.

My intended mate is suddenly forced to choose—me or his sister?
For once, I can’t see what will happen.
But in my heart, I know who he’ll save.
Because no one ever picks me.

Author’s Kodiak Sector is a standalone shifter romance featuring a dark world with knotting, nesting, growling, and a whole hell of a lot of purring. Because while Ashlyn might not “see” it, Grey is obsessed with her in the best way. She’s his, and he protects what’s his…

i can’t stand a “i slept with a bunch of women, but I didn’t kiss them” man. that is not the brag you think it is !!

MAIN CHARACTER NAMES AND AGES
Ashlyn (100+) | Grey (100+)

∘ seer/psychic fmc

REVIEW
To be honest, I felt mostly apathetic while reading, but I’m not entirely sure if it’s a book or a me issue.

The tension of Ashlyn’s vision kind of dissipates early on because of how repetitive she is about the fact that visions can change. Writing a character who can see the future, especially as a main character in first point of view is difficult. Maintaining the angst and uncertainty in addition to that is impossible.

I’m interested to see where the story goes from here.

OW/OM DRAMA mentions of past OW — Grey mentions having been with (non-omega) women in the past
CHEATING none
THIRD ACT BREAKUP none
ENDING HEA — epilogue serves as set up to next book (no time jump but couple is settled & in love)

Not the best in the series. I love to overall world that has been built but the books individually are hot or miss. You can tell when the author really likes the characters and puts effort into their story. Ivana and Cillian for example were fantastic. Ivana had so much personality and she and Cillian had a lot of chemistry but Ashlyn and Grey are just meh.

Ashlyn is a Seer with a Martyr complex but no backstory to explain why she is always putting herself at risk for other. She joined the Omega Mating program in the previous book because as a Seer, she saw that the other Omegas were in danger and joining was the only way to protect them. Due to her Seer abilities she also already knows who her fated mate is.

There is literally nothing about Ashlyn’s history revealed in the last book or this one other than she’s Z-Clan, a Seer and at least a century years old. Where is her family? What has she been doing for a century? Why does she have such a martyr complex and drive to put everyone above herself even when she sees it will lead to her own death?

Grey has more backstory with family and so his motivation is clear. He wants to save his sister and help his adopted brother and protect his new found mate.

It was annoying that Ashlyn’s visions were vague and she wouldn’t actually tell Grey anything helpful. There is an explanation later why her visions have been so chaotic but no excuse to not share with your mate and to just accept a fate where you think you’re going to die.

I did appreciate that she showed more willingness to fight for herself at the end. I also appreciated that in this book the Alpha respected consent and his mate. He wasn’t over the top overbearing like previous Alphas in previous books and he was never cruel but he was still super sexy.

Overall the book was pretty short and there wasn’t a ton of relationship building or chemistry and the characters felt flat.

It was an enjoyable read from start to finish. The characters were engaging and well-developed, which made it easy to stay invested in the story. The descriptions were solid without being overdone, and the pacing kept me entertained throughout.

The spice level really hit the mark—enough to add heat and tension without overpowering the plot. Overall, it was a fun, engaging book with a good balance of story and spice. Definitely a good read and one I’d recommend.

AUDIOBOOK REVIEW & TIME LENGTH:
I have not seen any info on an audiobook at the time of this review.

FMC:
Ashlyn is a Z-Clan Omega which means she is a wolf shifter. She is also an oracle or seer or future-teller. She can see glimpses of the future in her mind at random times. She is headstrong, kind and beautiful.

MMC:
Grey is a 1/2 Z-Clan and 1/2 V-Clan Alpha. With his mixed genetics he is a huge polar bear sized wolf when he shifts, but he also must drink bl00d at times to sate the V-Clan vampiric hunger side. Being an Alpha, he is a fierce protector and very strong.

STORYLINE/PLOT:
Years ago, Grey’s twin brother disappeared with their little sister Nikiski and she has been missing ever since. Grey can “feel” their bond so he knows she is still living. He can not feel his twin brother so he believes him not living. Grey has made it his life’s mission to find Nikiski, no matter what.

Ashlyn has been dreaming of Grey, knows they are fated mates. Her visions show her being left behind by Grey because he always chooses to save Nikiski instead of her. She must accept her fate because any time she tries to change it, her future only becomes worse.

When they finally meet face to face, the bond is fierce and strong between them. Not long after, Ashlyn finds herself in a vision of the future she has never seen before which takes them on an unknown adventure of survival and rescuing Nikiski.

This is a short, but powerful, super fun read! Highly recommend!

NOTE:
This book is one in a large network of books that take place in the auhtor’s sector world. It is a world where 90% of the human population was wiped out from a virus which allowed the supernatural beings to rise and spread out over the world. This is explained at the front in all of the sector books.

There are characters from the author’s other sector books briefly in this one, like Oros & Onyx from Gold Sector. I am making a lot of notes of this series to try and keep them all straight and remember who is who and in what books.

THANKS:
Thank you to Author Lexi C Foss for this amazing ebook! I loved reading it, look forward to the next book in this series and look forward to reading future books! Thank you!

Happy Reading! ♥☻

I don't feel any type of way about this one. It was good but not great. It wrapped up the mystery of finding Grey's sister, so it served it's purpose. It was cute at times but due to the shorter length of the story and the rather quick clip of the pacing we aren't treated to much one-on-one relationship building scenes between Grey and Ashlyn.

I understand how this story didn't feel like it needed something drawn out and angsty as the author explained in the beginning of the book. I respect that but I also disagree with it a little. I can't say anything about how that decision was made as an author but as a reader I felt this could have been a bit longer. Maybe a few more scenes of Grey and Ashlyn together and getting to know each other a little bit. Again, I understand that with this particular couple they actually shared a true fated mate bond so the "get to know you" stage seemed a little useless considering they knew they belonged to one another and were going to claim each other without fighting fate. So, while I do understand how this one could be shortened and why it was I also wanted it to be a little bit more than what it was.

Mostly because most of Grey and Ashlyn's interactions were all vague and lacking anything personal. One, because of the imminent danger surrounding them and two, because of Ashlyn's visions she was literally unable to discuss much about anything she knew or had seen. But again, the visions were a small part of the story yet felt like a huge part of who Ashlyn was portrayed to be.

I guess I just wanted something more that wasn't there amongst the other drama of where Grey's sister was and who was running the slave market and Ashlyn's doom clock ticking away.. So, yes I did enjoy it and it was a quick read but I didn't love it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

4.5 stars! This is a Lexi C. Foss book doing what Lexi C. Foss does best! There are some interesting twists with this story, with the main characters essentially aware of the fated mate status, and yet, neither of them fully ready or up for acting on it for their own *reasons*. Ashlyn has a very powerful ability to see the future events, although her vision seems clouded or muddled when it comes to her own life - but what she does know if that she’s going to help Grey find his sister, and she is resigned that his sister’s safety is more important to him than his mate (her). Of course, she doesn’t share this understanding, or pretty much any of her visions with Grey, in fear of changing things for the worse (which is her experience), so she has no idea that that may not actually be the case for Grey. Grey immediately goes into hyper protective Alpha mode with Ashlyn, and as they search for his sister, he is drawn more and more to his mysterious mate. But he also knows she’s been through a lot, and as always in Lexi’s books, consent is king in this world (at least with the MMCs of the series).

I really loved how this story unfolded! These are two characters who have seen some sh*t and it definitely shows. The way they interact with each other is interesting, knowing they are fated mates, but not immediately acting on it, adds another layer to their dynamic that is very interesting. And as the story develops, as the plot twists, things get more complicated and more intense. There are some really sweet moments, and there are some REALLY smexy moments. There are some unexpected plot twists (as well as some expected ones). Ultimately, we get another fantastic romance in this world of shifters and vampires, and I loved how it all played out.

“You joined the mating pool because you knew something was going to happen to the other Omegas,” he says, again as a statement, not a question. “And to meet me.” “Yes,” I admit. “But also no.” That eyebrow of his lifts again, the color the same as his blond hair. “I participated because I wanted to help the Omegas,” I clarify. “But I didn’t realize you would be there.” That’s why I fell into an icy lake the first time he appeared. That’s not how I predicted we would meet for the first time. Not that we actually did meet… which he just pointed out. We barely said anything to each other at all. He simply jumped into the water and pulled me out of it, then Alpha Cillian escorted me back to the igloos in Glacier Sector. Maybe that’s our thing, I think. Meeting in ice water.

Once again we are back in Lexi Foss sector books and I honestly couldn't be more happier I love what she does with these standalone books they leave me wanting more n more.

This time we find ourselves with Grey our hybrid wolf and his fated mate Ashlynn our oracle omega wolf. Grey needs Ash's help to find his sister who was kidnapped years ago by his twin brother who he believes is dead.

What follows is a lot of moments that literally make me laugh out loud and parts that make you want a alpha cause he's just sweet. Poor Ash who often thinks she's dreaming and of course action.

If you want a quick fun read this book is definitely for you and you won't be disappointed.

Kodiak Sector is the fourth book in Lexi's V-Clan series. It was a shorter read but packed a punch. Fated mates, brotherhood, visions, and a missing sibling are just a few key points. The pages just flew by.

Ashlyn is a seer who has a hard time telling dreams from reality, which caused a few funny moments. At first, she seems very placid, but there is depth behind those calm waters. She has the weight of the world on her shoulders, and she bears it with a special kind of grace. Ash has a pure heart and is truly selfless. While Grey is all seriousness and power, he indulges his sweet side with Ashlyn. He gives her the nickname "Little Riddler" because she only gives him pieces of the puzzle she's seeing. They were sweet in an unexpected way.

I enjoyed the plot. Grey is hunting for his missing sister, Ashlyn is having horrific visions, and Grey's best friend Cael is being himself, adding a little playfulness to the story. There was definitely some tension. Things weren't adding up, so there was a bit of mystery, and Grey was trying to figure things out with very little help from Ash. It was a great plot twist. There was a little twist on the twist. I loved every minute of Kodiak Sector. If you're a fan of Immortal Vices and Virtues (Lexi is one of the authors), then you will love this series.

I love these story's set in a world where wolf shifters and supernatural beings rule different sectors after the zombie apocalypse and humans are few and far between. With this story set in Kodiak sector with Ashyn who thinks her visions are all set in stone but luckily one Alpha named Grey is going to turn her world upside down in all the goods ways and show her not everything is as it seems. They'll set out on a journey to keep Ashlyn safe while trying to help find his sister Nikishi who's been missing for a long time. Its a love story like no other set in a harsh land filled with danger, suspence and amazing characters with Ashlyn who was sush a sweet and caring person and put others before her self. Grey with his touch her and die vibes and his amazing abilitys. One being able to create runes which will help come in handy. Along with putting her needs first and showing how mush he cared about his little riddler. And of cause guest appearance from Cael the prince of Luna sector who likes to wind Grey up which was quite funny to read. Along with guest appearance from the gold sector which I loved seeing again and of cause an ending that blew me a way with the villan i never saw coming. And a swoon worthy ending that I just loved.

A good story, loved both the storyline and the characters. Ashlyn the FMC is a great contradiction as is both a strong omega with fortune telling abilities but also a vulnerable side that no one sees where she’s always been the one to save everyone else, or the one not chosen and that runs beneath the surface hidden. Even when she meets her fated mate Grey she is so sure when the choice comes down to her or his sister he will not choose her she “knows” he won’t choose her. Grey is a great MMC, a true touch her and die possessive alpha which is just what this story needed and what Ashlyn needed.
I loved the plot with the control of the visions and things not being as they were and how that kept it from being too predictable. Of course always happy with a HEA ending and very excited to see how the other relationship that was potentially formed at the end of the book turns out in the next book, I do have my fingers crossed for that one.

Note from author- Kodiak sector is a standalone romance story in the V-clan/Z-clan universe. No other books need to be read prior to this one to follow the storyline. That said, Ashlyn and Grey first met in Eclipse sector. So, if you prefer a chronological experience, I would go back to read Eclipse sector first.

She did it again!!

Kodiak Sector was such a fun, gripping read. The pacing was fast and addictive, but what really surprised me was the emotional depth woven throughout the story. It never felt shallow or rushed, even with how quickly the plot moved.
One of my favorite aspects was the romance—especially the MMC’s unwavering love for the FMC right from the start. There was something incredibly satisfying and comforting about his instant devotion, and it made the emotional stakes hit even harder. Their connection felt intense, genuine, and well-earned.

This is book four in an interconnected series, and I can honestly say I’ve loved all of them so far. Each installment builds on the world and delivers its own emotional punch, and Kodiak Sector absolutely lived up to (and maybe even exceeded) my expectations.

Lexi C. Foss does a great job balancing action, emotion, and romance, making these books impossible to put down. If you enjoy fast-paced stories with strong emotional beats and a love interest who is all in from page one, this series—and this book in particular—is absolutely worth reading. 💙📚

His Little Riddler and her Fated Alpha

What a fantastic little story tying the Gold Sector Dragons together with our Lunar Sector Alphas.

Troupes:
* Quick read/ Fast Burn
* Low Angst
* No Other Woman or Other Man Drama (No Cheating)
* Primal Energy
* Possessive Over the Top Alpha Male
* Touch Her and Die Vibes
* Knotting, Nesting, Purring, Growling

Grey and Ashlyn were brought together in Eclipse Sector- V Clan book 3, when they both joined an omega mating program. They have a Ricky path to follow as Ashlyn is a seer so she’s know her whole life Grey is her Fated Alpha. She is also destined to help Grey find and free his sister, Niki, however she believes he will choose saving his sister over her.

This was a great fast paced story with some awesome twists and turns keeping you guessing! I loved how it Brought the previous characters in along with our favourite Dragon Princes, Oros and Onyx from Gold Sector.

I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds for our next characters, Carl and Niki in Lunar Sector.

I've only recently discovered this collection of interconnected standalones, but I'm loving what I've seen so far!

Fated mates, a confused, but powerful seer and family drama bland together to make a fantastic story here. We start right in the middle of the action, and the pace refuses to slow down. Ashlyn and Grey are fates mates, she is the omega to his alpha, but she's also had visions that will help him find his missing sister. However, given how her power works, Ash has to be careful how she imparts the knowledge she has been given to ensure she doesn't influence fate.

The two leads are wonderful, they fit perfectly and Grey gives her what she needs rather than what she thinks she wants, which is refreshing. As with all good interconnected series there's characters popping up from other books, some I've read already, some on my TBR. I love when this is done well, as it gives you a check in with old favourites and catches your interest for others.

Overall, I loved this book, it's a fun story and a great look at how in control we are o our own fates.

I enjoyed this book, I love getting to see previous characters make cameo's and I love seeing side characters get their own story. It was a bit shorter than I was hoping for so it felt a bit rushed. Though a couple of ah-ha! moments do happen in it.

Ashlyn is a seer and thinks she knows how the future will unfold and if she shares what she knows, it'll change and usually for the worse, so she leaves cryptic clues and notes, to try to help without making it worse. She knows that Grey is her mate and once they meet, he knows that she is his, but their love story starts a little bumpy.

I like how Grey was all in on protecting Ashlyn, even when she thought he wouldn't or shouldn't. As this is an OmegaVerse, there is nesting (what little Ashlyn gets to do), mating and knotting, though since the book is shorter, not near as much as I would like. 😉 When long time secrets come to light, Ashlyn and Grey learn that not all is at it seems and Grey proves to Ashlyn he meant it when he said she was his.

this was pretty good but there were a few things that irked me. maybe it's because I'm starting with the fourth book, but the world building felt a little shaky to me so they have advanced tech, magic runes, Seers and it all just melds with no explanation. The MMC kind of annoyed me with his "oh, I only slept with a couple girls but I didn't kiss them and I didn't give them my knot so I'm basically a virgin" BS. like sir. she's an actual virgin, you don't get props for "saving yourself" because you didn't "fuck all the way".

I also felt we needed a lot more smut. sure there's sexual tension, but we only get one and a half scenes of actual smut and it's over pretty quickly.

The FMC well I liked her general personality. I felt she was a little bland and I feel like it's hard to write a character with seeing the future powers bc..... even if they were messing with her mind, we're told she's super powerful.... so why didn't she see this coming?

It's Not a bad book, I just found myself wanting a lot more.

If you’re looking for a shifter romance that grabs you from the first page, Kodiak Sector is it. This story pulled me in all the right ways—the tension between Ashlyn and Grey, the high-stakes world of Kodiak Sector, and the inner struggles of Grey as he wrestles with his hyper-genetics and his desire to protect Ashlyn.

I loved Ashlyn, strong, determined, and yet vulnerable in all the right ways. Grey’s journey to overcome his barriers and claim what he wants is heartfelt and satisfying. Lexi’s storytelling is smooth, immersive, and perfectly paced, you’ll never get lost in the plot, but you will get lost in this world.

This story met my expectations and then some. If you love dynamic characters, a dark yet thrilling world, and a romance that makes your heart race, Kodiak Sector is a must-read. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series!

Grey hates his Z-Clan side and lives to put others before himself, convinced he is unworthy of happiness. He is the eternal protector, haunted by the memory of failing to save his sister.

Ashlyn, by contrast, sees herself as the sacrificial lamb—meant to endure loss so others can thrive. She's always known Grey is her fated mate, but her visions suggest his sister’s life holds more weight, leaving her to quietly accept second place.

Together, they grow. Ashlyn embraces all sides of Grey, even the sides he tries to hide from the world. In return, Grey reminds her that she is the center of his universe, determined to help her see her own worth.

They don't fight their fate, but they must come to terms with who they truly are. Only by accepting their whole selves can they grow stronger—both individually and together. And maybe, just maybe, save Grey’s sister and each other along the way.

I mean, you can never go wrong with a shifter romance, especially when it's a shifter romance written by Lexi.

This book was the shortest of the V-Clan books, but I don't think it suffered at all from that. I think the story was the right length for what it was doing and still accomplished everything it needed to. I really enjoyed how strong and resistant that Ashlyn was, especially given that she's convinced that she always needs to be the martyr and is more concerned with making sure that everyone else is safe when it may kill her. I also really enjoyed Grey and how concerned he was with making sure that Ashlyn was safe, much to her shock, since she was under the impression that all he really cared about was finding his lost sister despite the fact that they were fated mates. Watching that relationship evolve was great and I hope we get to see them as well as the previous couples in the next book. I have a feeling that it's going to be an interesting read given who it surrounds and the circumstances.

I Love Fated Mates especially by Lexi Foss!

Well.. I couldnt wait for this book. I absolutely adore this world and love that it keeps growing!

Grey and Ashlyn had my interest piqued all the way back in Eclipse Sector. Ashlyns visions and Greys broodiness had me all eyes and ears from the beginning. They did not disappoint. I certainly didnt see it going down the way it did though! I loved Ashlyns strength, I feel like Lexi empowers her FMCs so beautifully! We also got to see a softer side to Grey which I think we can all admit we love when MMCs are rough around the edges but go soft for their girl!

This is a shorter book but Lexi wraps it all up nicely and gives us lots in the overall story arc to lead us into the next book! I love this as a standalone quick read and as a source for our overall world! Kodiak Sector has a place in this series and definitely held up to the standards Lexi's sets for her characters and world building. I adored it from cover to cover.

When she can see their future and it's bleak
You seriously cannot go wrong with a Lexi book in my opinion. Kodiak Sector (all the sector/clan books really) are dark and a bit gritty, but the main characters are usually just all in for each other. This is one of those - while Ashlyn can see bits and pieces of her future, it's always been murky where Grey's been concerned. They are fated mates and she's known that for a very long time. And once he sets sight on her picture, he knows too. Only Ashlyn knows that for Grey, finding his sister takes priority over everything, and she can help. She's even willing to make the ultimate sacrifice, but she can never tell him, or it will change the future. Grey knows Ashlyn isn't sharing something, and as they grow closer, he sees more and more of her, and is determiend to figure out what's scaring her so much. Love the characters in this one.

Ashlyn and Grey
Another installment of the V-clan series this time focusing in on Grey and the seer omega he rescues and takes into his care and protection.
Grey is a possessive aplha but so soft to his little riddler and head over heels as soon as he sets eyes on her. Hes a typical white knight character and ao easy to love!
Ashtyn is a matyr and has never put her own happiness and safety first. Being a powerful seer shes always foreseen her destiny and its turbulence and just accepted life for what is in store as long as those around her are safe.
The world is already built and although standalone romances you really need to read the series in order to understand whats going on between the different clans and the lives of the main characters.
I couldn't put this down and tore through it at speed. It would only be made better if it was longer but im so eager for Cael in the next book!

I would normally start at the beginning of the series but this was accidentally dropped into my arc so can’t complain. I have already started the Darkon Clan which are set in the same world so was good to get a small peek from a different clan. I know these stories are classed as standalone but I really do need to take some time & read the previous stories.

It was a short story which I quite enjoyed, the main female character Ashlyn has visions of the future & if she reveals the vision it’s changes. So to get by so not to change it, she leaves clues. & that is how she meets Grey who she knows is her fated mate.

Ashlyn has been given visions of Grey’s long lost sister who he has been searching for years, Ashlyn knowing what it is going to cost her, supports Grey to find her. Will he choose to save his fated mate or his sister.

Although it was a short story it was very fast & action packed, I enjoy Lexi C Foss’s books 😊

Short, fast, and spicy PNR set into a deadly world full of dangers. Ashlyn is a seer, but when it comes to her own mate, her visions are muddy, unclear, and sometimes don't add up. Grey is a hybrid, shunned by both sides as a younger man, who signed up for mating program to get close to his fated mate. Yet the circumstances under which they meet are less than ideal, and on top of it, Grey's focus also lies in finding his lost sister.
While it was a fast and spicy read, which was perfect for unwinding after long working day and relaxing with a read that isn't very demanding, I still missed a little bit more of personality development when it comes to both Gray and Ashlyn. I would also like, for example, to see a bit more background about Grey's rage, it showed up only in one moment but still is a serious part of him, so I felt like we only got to see one side of both of them. Nevertheless, all in all it was a nice entertaining romance story.

Short and sweet novel. I have read Gold Sector, and I enjoyed the book. What I have come to appreciate with these books is that more often than not, like in life, we do not fit this perfect mold of existence that is supposed to be the ideal without seeing and appreciating the beauty in what is. Seeing people manipulate others and prey on the weak for their own purposes is another thing that I loathe, and I appreciate the acknowledgment of it and seeing it for what it is, as terrible.

Ash is an omega who is just trying to do what is right, even if it puts her in harm’s way, not to martyr herself but to use her gifts to help others in need. Grey, our alpha, is suffering from PTSD from his childhood abuse by his father, and from when he found his younger self in the midst of trying to save his sister and being unable to do so because she was stolen away before he could. He blames himself.

Both feel beholden to the purpose they have given themselves in life at the expense of their own happiness, and yet they find a happily ever after despite it.

This book is the kind of shifter romance that sinks its claws in early and keeps squeezing until the very last page. Ashlyn is such a compelling heroine — strong but weighed down by what she knows and what she fears is coming. Her struggle felt real, heavy, and emotional in a way that made every choice matter.

And Grey? He is all intensity, loyalty, and quiet determination. Not loud or posturing — just steady, dangerous, and completely locked onto Ashlyn. Their bond builds with a delicious mix of tension and inevitability, and when they finally collide, it’s powerful, emotional, and deeply satisfying.

What I loved most is how the danger, the world, and the romance all feed into each other. The stakes feel real, the pacing is sharp, and the emotional payoff hits hard. This isn’t just a shifter romance — it’s a story about choosing each other when the future looks dark and survival isn’t guaranteed

Kodiak Sector by Lexi C. Foss is an exhilarating addition to the realm of science fiction and romance. It perfectly blends action, intrigue, and character-driven narratives. The author will take you on a journey through the Kodiak Sector, a world filled with danger, adventure, and complex relationships.

The story follows a group of intriguing characters, each grappling with their own pasts and motivations, as they navigate the challenges of their environment.
The character development allows you to become invested in the struggles and triumphs. The dialogue is sharp and engaging, witty, which adds a dynamic layer to the interactions between characters.

Kodiak Sector is well-executed and hits all the right notes that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Kodiak Sector has well-rounded characters, making it a must-read for anyone seeking a gripping tale of survival and love in a vividly imagined world.

Short but great read. Ashlyn is a seer; she's known her path for quite some time, and in a way, she's sorta given up and accepted what her future is going to be. Grey is looking for his sister, who was taken by his twin years before, and he thinks Ashlyn is how he will find her. The characters are interesting, and I love the backstory for Grey, though I kinda wish there had been a little more for Ashlyn.

The spice is well...hot and the perfect amount to not overpower the rest of the story, or make you feel like the relationship between Grey and Ashlyn isn't moving anywhere. I did get a little frustrated with Ashlyn at times, but more because she figured that she already knew her fate, and even though she herself said the visions could change, she seemed very reluctant to try and change her own destiny, while making sure that Grey succeeded with his.

Thankfully, we do get a HEA in the end, even if there are moments when I thought it wasn't going to end well for this due.

This was a nice quick read that I wish was as long as the others in this series. Each book though can be read alone but there are references between them all. All the other have more depth and a look into each characters back stories. We don't get much of a glimpse into Ashlyn's and to why she acts like such a martyr. Nor do we get much from the other books prior. Where is her family and where has she been for over a century? We know more about Grey from previous books and get more of a story with this book. With this book being short there wasn't a lot of relationship building but that's to be expected when Ashlynn is a Seer and knows Grey is her fated mate. The ending was a bit rushed but gave you some answers for Ashlynn's Seer block. This book was alright and kept with the series but i wish Lexi would have made it a longer one like all her others.

Another great Lexi story!

Kodiak Sector is Book 4 in the V-Clan series. It is everything good about Lexi C. Foss’s books. Shifters (Z-Clan). Alphas and Omegas. Suspense. Fated Mates. Distopiyan World. Knotting and Nesting.
The V-Clan series has been great because we get to see so many sectors in this disrupting world and Kodiak Sector just continues to expand these world. The differences between the X-Clan, V-Clan, and Z-Clan wolves are interesting and gives each book its own unique twist. I love that Grey and Ashlyn are the characters we really get to know in the Z-Clan world. Ashlyn is so strong and self-sacrificing. Grey is compassionate, loving, and tries so hard to be a good Alpha Wolf.
Highly recommend if you love Lexi’s stories. Or if you like fated mate shifters with magic trying to find their way together and omegaverse 💙
