Lucifer’s rebellious daughter, driven by revenge. A vampire bound by regret. In the depths of Hell, their forbidden love could reignite—or consume them both.
Being Lucifer’s daughter comes with baggage. And by baggage, I mean a destiny I never asked for, a prophecy I can’t escape, and a to-do list straight from Hell. Literally.
Our mission? Destroy the fallen angels still loyal to my father and sever his ability to create more hellspawn. Without them, his army is finite—and beatable. But that’s not all. To stand a chance against Lucifer, we’ll need to find new allies and rebuild the rebellion he crushed the last time I dared to defy him. Easy, right?
And then there’s Rathiel. The vampire who stole my memories, exiled me to Earth, and shattered every ounce of trust I had in him. I should hate him—I want to hate him—but the way he looks at me, the way he sets my blood on fire with a single touch, makes it impossible. When he’s near, I can barely think. When he’s gone, I can hardly breathe. He’s a constant reminder of everything I’ve lost—and everything I still want.
The path forward is take down the fallen, reclaim my memories, and rally an army before Lucifer crushes us for good. But the hardest battle? Facing the feelings I can’t control for the one who hurt me the most.
Because in Hell, some battles are fought with fire—and others with the heart.
Kinsley Adams likes long walks on the beach, all things chocolate, and sweet little puppies that... wait. Wrong about me, sorry.
*ahem*
Kinsley Adams is a thirty-something-year-old author who stopped counting when she turned twenty-five. When she isn’t writing uproariously hilarious romantic comedies, she’s raising her womb-gremlin with the hopes that he might one day become the world’s first Supreme Leader.
Gosh, these books really know how to hook you at just the right moment. I always find myself starting to get a little bored, only for the action or some wild revelation to snap me right back to life. It’s like the author knows exactly when to hit the gas. I’m really enjoying the characters in this series too. Even the ones you’re supposed to hate? Yeah… I hate them. And the ones you’re supposed to love? I’m fully invested. It feels like every emotion is landing exactly where it’s meant to. And Lily and Rathiel? FINALLY!!! Their tension was to die for but I’m so dang glad it has come full circle. I’m dying to see how all this ends.
I don’t know why but for some reason when I start these books I just struggle. I know I like them. I know I want to know whats going to happen next but it takes me time to get back into the story. But man, once I get in I am hooked! I need to know next moves. I love the characters in this book, the good, the evil, they all bring something special to the story to make it that much more compelling. Rath and Lily for the win! All that tension and finally the past has come to light in the best way! Excited to see how it all end!
I must admit. I struggled a bit, to get into this one. I enjoyed it, but found it a little slow in places. I like it all the characters in this series, and I particularly like the author. Just wasn't quite a 5 star for me this time.
Just the sequel I was looking for! Rath and Lily of course stole the show in book one and when it came to a startling ending I was desperate to know what was going to happen next! Thankfully book two is here, and it’s just as amazing as book one was! In the sequel we pick up right where book one ended with our ragtag found family trying to make their way to the underworld and finish a war that was started years ago. But while the Underworld itself may be willing to welcome Lily back with open arms the patrons are not so welcoming… and if Lily wants any chance of winning this war she’s going to have to earn back their trust and respect first. A feat easier said than done when she’s being hunted. Oh and when she’s trying to regain the memories stolen from her ten years ago… and to top it all off figure out just why she feels such a pull towards Rath a man who in her memories she should despise… all that to say that if you’re looking for a book that’s full of found family, tough choices, amazing characters, hilarious companions, so much banter, so many battles, a maybe enemies to lovers romance with a sprinkling of spice and a cliffhanger that’ll have you counting down the days to book three than be sure to add this amazing series to your TBR immediately!
this is very much a challenging journey of self discovery in more ways than one for daughter of Lucifer Lily, and for several of her companions
issues of loyalty and responsibilities of leaders and creators to their allies and creation are steamy and action filled explorations I enjoyed reading - nail biting and pillow punching stuff
the journeys and battles are not yet at an end, as the rules keeping getting changed up, as options and celestial loopholes are purused and pursued.
intense and something I'm looking forward to reading to it's conclusions.
Lily, Rathiel, her imp, and her cat are packing for a trip to hell. It’s time to fulfill her prophecy, vanquish the fallen ones, and kill Lucifer. She will need a new army. Lucifer destroyed her old one before he ripped out her wings. She needs every ally she can get, but can she trust the vampire who erased her memory and exiled her to Earth?
What an ending! This is the best book in this series so far. Deadly skills, bloody battles, hot vampires! I received a free copy, but my review is honest and voluntary.
Not the ideal father/daughter relationship, by any means!
Lucifer is a definite douche in these books! Not a Hallmark moment in sight. Memories play a huge part in the second part of the trilogy, the pain of losing them & the restoration of them. Vol has been joined by the two wyrms as my favourite creature features. Oh, & Purrgy to, of course. I worry myself sometimes, whenever there's a vampire around I immediately get a crush on them & Rathiel is no exception. The final showdown in the trilogy is shaping up to be epic & I can't wait.
Ok, it took me a lite longer to get into book two than book one, but once I passed my hump, I was all in. I really liked the way that the storybefore the first book was let into this on, quite imaginative.
I cried for joy when Mephasir and Sable returned in this book, it was epic. Looking forward to the next book.
