He took me as a debt payment, but he’s keeping me as his bride. One minute, I’m an innocent girl with plans. The next, I’m collateral in my father’s twisted deal with the Bratva. He’s much older, ruthless as they come, and dead set on taking what he’s owed.
To protect me from his enemies, he demands my obedience—and seals our fate with a forced marriage. In his mansion, I’m under lock and key, with every step watched, every move controlled. He says it’s for my safety, but I know better. His dark gaze doesn’t just threaten—it claims. My innocence, my future, even my body, all promised to him now.
And the way he touches me, I know there’s no escaping. I hate him. I crave him. He’s turning me into something new—someone who can’t stop trembling when he’s near. But now I’m carrying his child, bound even closer to a man who takes what he wants, no matter the cost.
Will he break me beyond repair… or make me his forever?
In Chicago the rule of the Tarasov Bratva is the law. These men are as disciplined with their chiselled appearance as they are with the code of honor, revenge, and bloodshed they lie by. They take what they want, and if that is you, be prepared to be claimed, protected, satisfied, and hunted for the rest of your life… will you go willingly?
I really liked this book. Finally, it was Afanasy’s time to tell his story! He really surprised me. I had a completely different image of him in the previous books. I would never have thought that he was willing to part with his womanizing ways. This story is not just one of a marriage of convenience; he WANTS to get married to Wren. But first things first: the story is like this: Wren’s father owes the Tarasov Bratva a lot of money. He tries to slip away, Afanasy kidnaps his daughter Wren, a shy girl working at a bookstore, as a way to make him reveal himself. He doesn’t mistreat her, he just holds her hostage in his manor. Wren is afraid as well as intrigued by Afanasy. So, when her father abandons the country and she finds herself responsible to pay back his dept, Afanasy takes action. Part of it is to protect her by giving her his name, as her father’s dept will be null if she becomes part of the Tarasov family. But part of it is because he is attracted and intrigued by her. He actually wants to make her his wife; he finds her ideal for him and he doesn’t bother to pretend otherwise. I loved their road to HEA and his determination to put aside every other woman for her. Wren also proves her strength and spine of steel in her decisions and actions. They make a great pair. 5 stars.
“Forced Bratva Hostage”: An Age Gap Mafia Romance (Tarasov Bratva book 4. Wren is our beautiful innocent twenty two year old MFC. She was happy with two parents..till it was just her dad and her. She works at 312 Bookstore in hustling Chicago as a bookseller and she loves it! Afanasy Tarasov is our thirty nine year old, tall, muscled and handsome bratva MMC. He’s hard and dosnt know love. When her father’s actions throws these two together, will they survive or burn up? I like that in this book as with the others in this series, you get to visit prior book characters. Also although this is a series, these books are standalones. I do suggest reading through from the first book though. It’s a wonderful series. And yes, through all the chaos and emotional ups and downs, these two do have their happy everafter.
OH OMG this was another outstanding story. It was addicted and so much more. It was a page turner and the suspense was in San and incredible intense. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. She had a happy family until the death of her mother she was in so much pain and heartache so she had to keep herself busy in all this drama. He was intrigued with her beauty and innocence that he knew he had taken her for himself in this moment of chaos and danger. The temptation between them was so strong and intense it was impossible with desire of passion and determination but she need to escape from his property right now before it was too late. Or was she falling in love with him her captured. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion. Trina Jones
Trigger Warning! Torture, kidnapping, abandonment, open door! May cause triggers in some! Every once in a while, I have to change the way I review a book because I don't want to give away any spoilers. This is one of those times. Who says good girls can't want bad boys? Talk about a rough start. But things don't always turn out like we think, fear or desire that they will. The twists and turns in this one, , ,WOW. It had me on the brink of tears, then laughing, then fanning myself the next. They brought to life emotions, a need and hunger in each other that neither knew was possible. Pregnancy hormones are a real thing.😂 Please, take the Trigger Warning seriously but I truly recommend adding this to your library.
This is the 4th book in the series and it’s very good. The h is a very, sweet, beautiful and naive young woman who father has abandoned her emotionally. After her mother’s death, he lost himself and neglected his daughter. Her father borrowed money from the Russian mob and now they want their money back, so he runs away. The H decides to kidnap her because she is now responsible for her father’s debt. He marries her to protect her from any consequences. The plot and characters are very well written. Great action and lots of hot scenes. Great epilogue.
And so, Afanasy drags Wren into his violent world. Be ready for possessiveness, coercion, passion, torture, abandonment, brutality, abduction, some surprises and smile worthy moments. I wish the author would stop writing phrases like this: "battering her eyelashes at me", or this " The door rang..." or "I sniffled the flowers." And this one: "unraveled the letter."
DNF... I have and giving this author Lexi books another try but so far I am disappointed in her remaining books that I try to read. In this book Wren catches Afanasy having sex with another woman in his home. No, no way! I hate when the MMC and FMC meets and the MMC is stilling having sex with other woman. I hate this! I totally loss interest in this book. Ebook not for me! I love all the tropes in Lexi's book but not her writing. I will not read anything else from her again.
The Loophole Afanasy and Wren are the perfect couple. He’s demanding, she’s meek and mild. Until he lights her fuse, then the lioness emerges and neither can get enough. So glad he figured out that loophole!
