His Vengeful Tradwife

I stared at my wife.
Why was she acting so casual?
I had just told her I wanted a divorce and her response was "fine."
So I spoke again, clearly and distinctly, so there could be no mistaking my meaning.
"Tallulah, like I said, it's over between us. I'm sorry, but I don't love you anymore. I want a divorce."
She raised an eyebrow at me.
"Yes, I heard you the first time, Maverick. Anything else?"

This is a husband redemption cheating romance. There will be on-page cheating between the MMC and the OW (and the FMC and multiple OM). There will be a HEA between the cheating MMC and the FMC. . .eventually.

This story is most suited for lovers of betrayal/cheating, revenge cheating, and desperate groveling.

His Vengeful Tradwife was on Kindle Vella and has been expanded with about 3K words

I must admit I laughed a lot here because apparently it’s not to be taken seriously, not at all.
- it lacks of any depth of feelings
- the feelings of the characters are really inconsistent and incongruous. F.i. The heroine finds out he’s cheating on her and after crying a bit for maybe one night, she coldly decides to get retribution and acts like nothing happened, even if we know she’s supposedly very much in love with her husband. Not believable. The hero has been cheating on her for six months and he is in love with ow that he calls his soulmate but it takes two days to fall out of love with her and realize he’s in love with the heroine. Not believable.
- there’s nothing realistic in the portrayal of their story. The heroine has sex with another man just two days after the hero asked her for divorce, and she enjoys it a lot. The gang bang scene (yes, just that) was really exhilarating but of course very much unrealistic and ott.
- the whole book is a comedy, not a drama. There’s no angst, only a lot of laughs, so the actions are ott and the characters are caricatures and not real people. The hot guy the heroine has sex with in the beginning, cocky and young, the hero’s parents, two psychologists who basically psycoanalize him then and there when they find out he cheated. It’s like a giant farce, with the only purpose to make you laugh, and it succeeds.
So, you don’t have to expect a real story with realistic situations and characters but something you read just for fun, without trying to make it real in your mind because things never go like that.
The plot. The hero has been cheating on the heroine for six months with his colleague, and he asks his wife for a divorce because he’s in love with ow.
The heroine accepts as if he asked her if she wanted a cup of tea. The hero is disappointed and annoyed that she’s not crying and begging him to stay.
The heroine found out previously that he was cheating and she was already preparing herself for a big huge retribution. She’s a famous blogger whose businner is worthy more than 60 millions while the hero is a lawyer, and even if he’s successful his income is just a fraction of hers.
He’s anyway very conceited and thinks, and ow too, that the heroine is just a silly woman who likes to cook and have chickens since her blog is about sustainability and cooking. Actually she’s a very smart, much smarter than him, businesswoman who made a successful business in the internet.
The hero is a weak and plain character that cheated on his wife because he’s jealous and envious of her success and a plain narcissist because he fell for ow who flattered his lil ego.
The heroine will ruin him and own, first giving him a taste of what his life will be, taking care of the house and his three little kids, then having sex with other men in front of their house while he can see her, then she will make him and ow lose first their retirement savings then their jobs, and eventually making them social outcasts since everyone love her and blames the hero for his idiotic behavior.
Some parts are really hilarious, when the hero sees her having sex with the younger man, when she makes them lose their retirement and when she tells their parents that he left her for another woman. There were parts where I almost felt sorry for him because everyone treated him like he was scum, and he actually was. He realized very soon his mistake and begged the heroine to take him back, sadly she took him back and this is why I gave the book two stars, instead of much more.
Why make a heroine that is so much and a hero that is so little? The heroine is a hot bombshell, she’s smart, loving and faithful, she’s rich, successful and every man’s wet dream, while the hero is older, unfaithful and mediocre. So why make her settle with him? He has nothing on her, just nothing.
I wish the author had at least waited for five years until she decided to take him back and in the meantime she could have had sex with plenty of younger and better men, while he watched and suffer. But then again, she deserved much better and make her go back with that loser left a sour taste in my mouth and ruined the book for me. Anyway, it wasn’t an angsty reading, it is a comedy with farcical situations that was not planned for realistic purposes.

It is a short book, 137 pages, so I am going to make this short and sweet

Stupid ass Maverick is subconsciously jealous of his wife's success so he seeks a relationship with a manipulative shrew to feel that HE'S THE MAN😒😒
instead of throwing a tantrum, Tallulah shows her indifference and slowly plans her revenge on both
stupid-ass Maverick realizes his mistake and he has to work to get his wife back

there is only one scene that i found distasteful and that she took it too far, but that is just me.

this is more of a revenge than a grovel kinda redemption

Take Jordan Silver’s “revenge cheat” trope, add the “sex with other man” trope & and you’ll get this book. The white collar hero version. Same theatrics. Bit better editing.

‼️POSSIBLE SPOILERS:‼️

I wasn't expecting the chicklit-ish humour because I was reading it from a Romance genre perspective so from chapter 1 in his POV during the on-page cheating I wasn’t convinced that the ow was the love of his life. It didn’t ring true, and that set the tone for the rest of my read.

The first chapters deal with the discovery and immediately we’re on to the revenge and grovel parts.
I didn’t feel any real impact at that crucial point where she first found out about the cheating.
No gut punch at what I think is a pivotal point in a cheating book: when he tells her he’s leaving her for the love of his life. Just bleh. There’s more drama in the way he says it than what he’s actually saying.
The very next day after his confession he does a complete 180 and decides he actually hates the ow and isn’t letting his tradwife go after all.

"Anyone would be sorry to lose Tallulah," Maverick said. "Whereas I can barely even remember your fucking face and I'm literally fucking looking at it.”

The vengeance starts in earnest.
Queue his groveling, begging on knees and tears. Ad nauseam.
What follows is a series of events orchestrated by the tradwife to systematically destroy the H and ow.
The ow is annihilated. Fantastic comeuppance.
LOL.
Great premise but overdone in the sense that it’s without much emotion on her side: she’s VERY pissed alright, but I don’t pick up the heart-wrenching gut-punching hurt, sadness and sense of betrayal until the end of the book.

This tradwife apparently does a complete 180 when she discovers her husband of 10 years has been cheating.
I say “apparently” because I don’t get to actually SEE her in the devoted mother/wife/homemaker glory mode. Never been a fan of the “telling not showing” style. I’m told who she is through the belittling contemptuous eyes of her husband and his ow, and the respectful eyes of the people who know of her. And via her own inner dialogue when she refers to her millions and her followers. We don’t get to meet her friends either. Only in the 2nd last chapters do we get to see her vulnerability and soul searching but this insight came too late because I’d already formed my image of her.

So, while I don’t really get a deeper sense of the heroine before, I do get what she is now:
Vengeful; focused on retribution, sex and 40 million subscribers.

I was disappointed because this was going to be my first Romance in the tradwife world.
Their kids are mentioned but only in passing and when he is interacting with them.
There’s some cow milking and corn shucking and such stuff at the very end but it’s more in terms of introducing him to her tradlife ways. It’s part of her strategy to humiliate and emasculate him – which she does spectacularly.

After the sex with numerous men – okay – only 5 that I can recall offhand, she makes a deal with him: if he can increase her subscribers to 40 million she’ll give him a second chance. He does, but it takes longer than a year for her to forgive him and he does grovel on his knees more than once. He makes significant changes in all avenues of his life.

“…Maverick said in agony. "Tallulah, I'll do chickens with you!" he said anxiously. "Is that what you want? I swear to God, I'll do it! I'll milk the cows every morning. I'll churn some fucking butter!”

“I was an arrogant fool, jealous of your success. Jealous that you didn't need me anymore.”

“Instead of supporting Tallulah with her channel and her business, my ego had gotten in the way and I had been a sucker to fall for the short-lived pleasure of Amanda’s attention.”

I turned and dropped flat on my belly on the floor. Then I started to crawl over to her, pulling myself along with my elbows, digging into the ground to make my way over to Tallulah.
I kept my head down and when I got to my wife I clutched at the hem of her skirts. There were tears prickling at the corner of my eyes and I felt them leak between my tightly shut lids and onto the soft fabric.
"I've been a miserable disgusting worm, and you're looking at a broken fucking man, Tallulah."
Wrapping my arms around her ankles, I began to weep onto her shoes.
"I'm begging you flat on my belly like the worm I am to forgive me.”

Trigger Warnings:

We're both slick, dripping with sweat, after hours of fucking, but I want to bring her there one more time. Just one more time before I have to go back to my wife and kids

I read Prince Cheating Charming and really enjoyed it. I HATE cheating but was curious about this and was pleasantly surprised. I would never take a cheater back irl but in fiction, I’m always curious to see if the MMC would win me over. The MMC Maverick was unbearable, I hated him, he was pathetic. But what made me love the story was our FMC Tallulah, she was hilarious and made Maverick PAY. Her revenge was the highlight of this book. This book felt like it was a parody, I just couldn’t take any of the characters seriously. But it was so addicting, funny, the revenge and suffering of Maverick was so satisfying, but there were some things I would take out. Maverick and Tallulah had 3 kids and they barely play a role in this. Realistically these kids were put in a pretty toxic household and their parents acted like immature teenagers. But since it’s fiction, I moved on. The other thing was something that happened near the end. I found it really unnecessary, I loved the revenge Tallulah did but near the end it was over the top and too much. Maverick’s grovel was rushed and wasn’t satisfying but I still enjoyed the story.

Maverick has an ongoing affair with Amanda for 6 months. He is sick of being married to his wife Tallulah and decides he wants a divorce. He expects her to cry but instead, Tallulah shrugs it off and says she will sign the papers. Maverick regrets his decision but Tallulah is done with him.

And I hadn't even suspected anything. Because I thought my intense, devoted husband loved me madly, deeply, eternally.
Well, she could fucking have him.
I didn't want him.

Now for spoilers

Stay safe folks!

From the blurb I know it’s advertised as cheating and the FMC getting back together with the cheater. I normally avoid these books like the plague but two things caught my eye:

1. The wife was very indifferent (this is the kind of reaction I want) when the MMC announced he wants a divorce.

2. It says, lots of OM sex.

So after that, I just turned off my brain and didn’t take this seriously because I know what to expect and I’m just too curious on how it’ll play out.

The FMC runs a very successful TikTok on being a tradwife. Basically almost all of their money comes from the FMC’s venture and this success and how she was practically independent from the MMC which caused him to cheat because he’s an insecure worthless worm who’s ego got crashed and minced.

The book is very short and I even giggled on a few scenes, specially when he literally crawled like a worm clinging to his wife’s shoes while weeping and begging for another chance

I enjoyed the way the wife was indifferent and didn’t care for her husband and even encouraged him to go to his mistress 🤣
I also enjoyed the fact that she genuinely enjoyed sex with another man and not just a form of revenge and enjoyed going on dates with him and utilized the attention she’s getting from men.

“I know it will never be like it was before.
But before there were things he wasn't happy about and he was too selfish and pigheaded to mention them. And there were things I didn't know either.
That I could have survived without my husband. I could have taken my kids and left sexy gorgeous fucking Maverick Laurent.
I could have been happy, even. I could have had my pick of suitors.”
—> Cute quote, I liked that she knows she’ll be happy without her husband, would’ve been more impactful if she left his disgusting STD-ridden ass 🌸

There was this guy I had one date with and let me explain why. This guy was talking about how proud he was of his son and his accomplishments and how he wanted to give his son the brand new truck he had bought for himself as a gift for his kids graduation. Mind you this was followed up with how he had his eye on another vehicle he wanted to buy for himself now that he was going to hand off this first truck. So it was more like an “excuse “ to get himself another new car. Anyway, he went on and on about his pride and his gift intentions so I asked him “oh did he graduate from college?” He said no he’s only 18. I said “oh it’s a high school graduation gift then!” He said “No he graduated from a GED program”. I didn’t even think, it just came out my mouth, “So you want to give your son a brand new truck for doing the bare minimum to graduate?” He blinked at me and our date was basically over lmao!

Anyway I’m mentioning this story because of the intention of the guy for his son. He was rewarding a barely made effort with something grand. Like participation trophies for just showing up. I get the idea behind it as being about encouragement but the sad reality is that the person being rewarded like this is not learning consequences or the valuable lessons from failure. They will never learn how to pick themselves up and strive for more, good or bad. They will always want things to be easy and handed to them.

I’m 57% into this book and the MMC is offering to milk chickens or pluck cows or whatever, for the FMC in order to get her to forgive him. This is what would have been the bare minimum DURING their marriage BEFORE the affair. Now he wants to do it and be rewarded by his wife, her money and reputation staying with him. The FMC is the truck from my story and the chores he is offering doesn’t even rate as high as the GED in my story did, which was next to nothing based on my own observations of that situation. The effort the MMC is offering is no better than just showing up. In fact his offer is the equivalent of showing up AFTER all the work has been done by someone else.

So everything so far is about the MMC not losing things and status and not about any real feelings for his wife. And his efforts to fix anything is nonexistent up to this point. His ego was hit hard by the FMC’s blasé attitude to his wanting to divorce. He was all for the OW up until the FMC said two letters, “OK”. And for no other reason. I wish the FMC ended up with someone else. Because the MMC is not worthy of her or anyone really.

And don’t come at me about GED’s because I have one myself. I just felt my date guy was blowing smoke up his son’s ass for doing next to nothing while getting a 50 thousand dollar truck for it, and it needed pointing out. Sue me.

FINAL UPDATE

So the MMC never honestly wanted to stay. It was all about his ego even after he explained it was about his ego that was the sole reason for his cheating. He was butthurt that his wife/FMC out earned him, he didn’t feel needed AND because he felt farm chores were beneath his bougie lawyer a$$. Then his regrets were all because the FMC was able to flaunt how other men were jumping all over her. He never did anything to earn her forgiveness. The FMC ruined his life for him, humbled him by getting him fired and getting the OW fired and stranded abandoned on some island somewhere. The MMC cried on his belly for her and just denigrated down to a simp who was so wholly unattractive to me that I couldn’t finish this book fast enough.

I really don’t think this author is for me. Her book ideas are great! But her writing and execution of said plots are not to my liking. The FMC was good up until she started having sex with randos and not a single talk of protection or safe sex anywhere to be found. Now normally, I wouldn’t care as it’s fiction, but there were six random sex partners between the main couple in a three week time period and it killed me that not one conversation was made by either of them for each other or for any one of the spares. Smh.

Anyway, other than the anger both characters had over the cheating and divorce I felt nothing but sex was their connection. The FMC had BBS for the MMC and the MMC wouldn’t let the FMC go because she was “his”. But since he started this book with the OW being “his” and his “soulmate” who he couldn’t get enough of, my belief in the MMC truly loving anyone but himself never came. Both women represented the same sentiment for him for different reasons. To me, it came off as out of sight out of mind, kind of sentiments. Both women characters were interchangeable. This author doesn’t show clear separation of the love interests in her books. They are always what the MMC wants at that given moment, but later on in the books the author wants the reader to believe it wasn’t true originally.

I’m not interested in reading confused characters and a confused writers ramblings. This could have been way better. It should have been way better. It failed to be better. Good luck.

Legally Blonde vibes but make it cottagecore

Tallulah is a tradwife Elle Woods / Revenge Tour Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan vows to defeat Becky Lynch at King and Queen of the Ring: Raw highlights, May 20, 2024

I am not really sure how I feel about this book. It is definitely creative. I liked the silliness, and the revenge was satisfying, but I felt like Tallulah and Maverick could have had more on-page chemistry. We are told that they had a loving and passionate relationship, but we never really see it until chapter 14. As a result, I had a hard time buying/being invested in their reconciliation.

I'm left with a lot of questions (Why should I care about the success of the main couple's relationship? Who am I supposed to be rooting for--Tallulah or Tallulah and Maverick? What made Maverick think Amanda was his soulmate? Why are the initial stakes so high only to crumble immediately? What is this story trying to convey? Is the essence of the story Tallulah's revenge or Tallulah and Maverick's reconciliation?)--which I think are maybe just unreasonable or misplaced expectations on my part and maybe it's just not that serious and I should just suspend disbelief??

It felt like the final 2-3 chapters had a completely different vibe from the rest of the book. They were more serious, contemplative, and passionate, as opposed to the previous chapters' OTT deadpan humor. I think this book would have appealed more to my personal tastes if there had been more of the ending's flavor throughout the book.

I think this book needed more emotional depth and development earlier on to be cohesive with the conclusion. Ideally, I would have wanted to see M&T's intense connection established earlier on--a solid foundation on which they can rebuild their relationship, if that is the goal. I would even have liked to see more between Maverick and Amanda. What makes him so certain that she is his soulmate? We really only see their physical compatibility. I have a lot of thoughts about 'shoulds' and 'coulds', but I also have to keep reminding myself it's not that kind of book??

Maybe I just don't understand cheating romance. Is the point for the couple to overcome a seemingly insurmountable hurdle? Is it to relish a cheater's deserved humiliation and suffering as he ultimately grasps the depth of his error, meanwhile the wronged woman thrives? I kind of have trouble identifying it as romance as opposed to women's literature or erotica.

Ultimately, I found this book entertaining and confusing.

Where was this book 4years ago when I truly needed it…lol, this was deliciously enjoyed❤️
Tallulah is just awesome, love the beginning chapters of her providing her own Karma ⭐️ And the luscious vengeful acts 😈😈😈😈

Maverick's a pouty little B*tch-Boy-Man who’s more bothered that his soon to-be-ex isn’t crying over him cheating & leaving her…lol 😅
Amanda is a total c*nt!! And to talk about Tallulah’s $$ like it’s going to be hers😡

💙The end was surprisingly welcoming, she chose what/who is right for her, things done on her terms, and didn’t fast forward the healing, groveling, or “action speaks better than words” processes!!!

Love the goodies in this book:
- “Queendom”…I need one of these🤔
-Big Man, Tiny Cows 🤠🖤🤍🐄🤍🖤🤠
-Tallulah: I should have been f*cking 25 year olds long ago! They were the best 🤣🤩
- “himbo”…Oh, that’s new male bimbo term..lol
-Dirty f*cking cheaters don't get leftovers
-"I don't see any tentacles on your dick” 😂😂😂

❓who honestly brings sooo many actual textbooks onto a family cruise??😯

Not for me. Is this author writing satire? All her books have OTT cheating in them, and then the grovel is also OTT. At least she's picking on both the Trad wife and the working woman in this book because I would have been irritated. Anyways, don't think I'll read anything else from this author.

3 1/2 stars. I enjoyed her other books but this one was a little over the top for me. The revenge, while justified, felt heavy handed. The H is six months into an affair with his coworker (OW). After pressure from the OW, the H confronts the h and asks for a divorce. She says OK. He expected tears and begging but he got a shrug of her shoulders. For some unexplained reason, he does not move out and in with the OW. They decide to trade taking complete care of their three children on alternate weekends. How hard can child care be? The H and OW's experience in taking the children is a complete disaster. The h spends her free weekend time with a younger man. The more time the H spends with the OW the more he realizes that she is not the sexy, smart accomplished woman he thought she was but a shallow, immature, gold digger. His wife has her own highly successful channel with millions of followers and is a smart, sexy, accomplished woman. The H realizes his mistake and has to try to convince the h to take him back while she continues to exact her revenge. The analysis of the motivation for the characters' choices feels superficial and not credible.

This isn’t an “it was bad” 3 stars, I enjoyed this. It’s a light novella that’s too unserious for me to give 4 stars to, but it's fun and ridiculous.

This is a “cheating / grovel / revenge” novella. At the beginning, the hero (he's like 40) cheats on his wife, the heroine (she's 32 or so), and tells her that he wants a divorce. The entire rest of the story is spent on the heroine making him regret that and pay for it. She sleeps with other men, and rubs his face in it. She ruins his reputation at work, etc. He does get an HEA with her. So, you’d only enjoy this if you can handle the cheater still getting the HEA. But if you can handle that, it’s a fun revenge read.

Because it's short, and its tone is deliberately campy, it's lacking in substance and emotion. I’d like it better if it was angstier and longer and really dug into the emotions: the gut punch of the cheating discovery, and the struggle and angst of the reconciliation. But, it seems like the author isn’t interested in writing that.

Despite that, I have a lot of goodwill towards this book, because I’ve read SO MANY romances where the hero betrays the heroine (by cheating, or another way), and then, during their separation, he sleeps around with other women while she’s celibate and pines for him. I’m so sick of that bullshit. So, it’s refreshing to see a story where, during their separation, he is celibate and she’s the one sleeping around with other men. I almost gave this 4 stars just because that part of it was so nice, and I want to encourage more of that.

Also, since the heroine is a “trad wife,” I worried this book would have a religious element. I don’t like reading that. But, there’s no religion mentioned in it at all. It’s purely a lifestyle influencer thing for the heroine’s TikTok. Her husband doesn't push her into it. In fact, it's the opposite.

Ridiculous. The FMC is completely immature, which made it difficult to empathize with her. I'm not sure this book is meant to be taken seriously, but either way, it didn't work for me.

A book about a woman who takes revenge on her cheating scoundrel of a husband and his dirty mistress? Yes Please

This was a well written Novella about a man close to 40 with 3 children who works as a lawyer and has a mid life crisis where he thinks its ok o take lunch breaks during work to pound his younger, childless carefree mistress and then tells her that Shes his soul mate instead of his wife who has been faithful to him during their 10 year relationship. A woman who cooks, cleans and raises his children with a smile on her face plus runs a 60 million dollar a year trad wife youtube channel. The man who is jealous of his wife's success with the channel and instead of communication with her he decides to double dip himself between his wife and mistress.

He decides to tell his wife he wants a divorce. He tells her his mistress of 6 months, who wants nothing to do with kids or housecleaning is his true soulmate. He expects a lot of crying and begging for him to stay.

He receives none of that because she already has been tipped off to his lysing and cheating by his secretary. Shes not going to make the divorce process a walk in the park. Hes going to regret the day he decided to step out on her. Plus his mistress will feel her wrath too.

Also the FMC isn't celibate during her period of revenge. She has men flocking to her, to the horror of her husband. He all of a sudden forgets he is a cheating scoundrel and thinks he has the right to be jealous.

Now, was I happy about the end game? Not necessarily but I thought the story was well written an entertaining. I would recommend giving the book a go.

This novella kept showing up in my recommendations, so I checked it out and had a lot of fun! It's a fully parodic comedy take on the cheating/grovel romance subgenre, and there were a few belly-laugh moments for me. I particularly loved Maverick's (the cheating husband) professor parents who immediately start trying to psychoanalyze him when they find out.

Do note that although this is all portrayed with tongue firmly planted in cheek, there is on-page cheating by the MMC and on-page revenge cheating by the FMC. A beach volleyball team might be involved at some point...

A big lesson learned

When her husband come home and says he wants a divorce Tallah (sp.?) Teaches him a huge lesson. This is the first book I read where the wife goes to this extreme to show her husband that grass is not always greener on the other side.

This book will not be for everyone, just saying.

Fast and fantastic fun

This novella will not be for everyone!

Maverick is your classic alpha male with the arrogance and ego to match his successful life. He has everything he wants - including his mistress. When he decides to tell his wife he wants a divorce, her reaction is…not quite what he expected.

Tallulah is a highly successful influencer who specialises in the “tradwife” lifestyle. She is taken for granted by her husband and is determined to make him pay for his choices.

I was originally unsure about the tradwife thing, but I gave it a chance and I’m so glad I did. The story is *funny* and doesn’t take itself seriously. The lists of books recommended by Maverick’s parents are comedy gold. This will no doubt wind up on many people’s lists of great revenge books, as it should be.

Between 3.5 and 4 stars

Mood Reader: This is a fairytale of a vengeful wife with a cheating husband and his mistress. It's not realistic, but it's a great fantasy novella of how she gets ultimate revenge (in many different ways) against her hubs and his mistress, and how she survives and thrives.

Warning: after thoroughly destroying him (career, reputation, wealth) she does take him back, but never really forgives. However, from this point forward, she has the upper hand in every way in their marriage.

Entertaining but not good

I saw this getting recc'd alot and decided to give it a try.

This was atrociously bad. So bad it made me laugh. It's basically a revenge p*rn fantasy with zero real life basis.

The H cheats on his wife of nearly 10 years and 3 children with a co worker. There's the beginning scene with his on page cheating that we are told has been going on for 6 months before he finally asks for a divorce.

The h already knows he's been cheating and has been waiting for him to ask for a divorce after which she proceeds to make him pay.

She agrees to the divorce and then goes out on dates that end smuttily in front of the H. It's alot. And of course she's so beautiful that all the hottest men around that she meets want her. Including a fellow tiktoker, her husband's Co worker, the guy the OW is panting after and 4 volleyball players. There's group s3x.

Amd everyone around her is on her side including her family (understandable), his family (oookkaay), the H's coworkers that are not the OW and the H's boss of all things.

She also manages to tank the H and the OW retirement funds because for some unknown reason they invested all their money in a MAKE UP/ SKINCARE brand. Wtaf?

It's painfully shallow and over the top.

Just no

I know some books are just for fun. This one made both main characters look like idiots and you just walk away not liking them. Mostly the main female lead. Not a fan of revenge sex, especially when one has children and an online empire where a slutty reputation can lose viewers. Why have a woman sink to debase herself to such immoral lows, in front of her house where her kids are sleeping? Sorry. I get where cheating stories get tricky but revenge sex isn't a way to go. Not my thing when it is so dumb how it comes about. She cheated as well and should have been held to task.

OTT

I like the plot of this author’s books, but the execution is just too ridiculous to take them seriously. It seems like the author has a fetish for humiliation p*rn. . He’s on his knees a lot crying and begging, even while she cucks him. Not my cup of tea

Once again I made the mistake of thinking I could read just a little of a Katie Landry book at bedtime and then go to sleep. Next thing I knew it was after midnight and I was almost finished with the book.

Silly and over-the-top, but a lot of fun. I also really loved that it turned our perception of trad wife influencers on its head and was a reminder that it’s all branding, and running a platform like that takes a lot of brains.

Just like with her other books, I don’t know if I fully forgave Maverick, but I really loved the revenge Tallulah got on the way to doing so.

Also, his parents were so funny. Some very needed comedic relief.
