Secrets from the past are revealed. Even my darkest one. It was never my plan, but I can’t carry this burden alone anymore. Talking about the past breaks and heals me at the same time, especially when I’m surrounded by love and not hate. Love. I don’t know what it is anymore. How can I learn to trust again when no one believed me? The time has come to choose—love and life or despair and death. Can I put the past behind me and be happy with those who hurt me so deeply?
It starts were we left off in book 1. It’s slow and explains the origin of mostly everything and why the Lords and the Dukes have issues, as well as Olivia’s origin story. She starts to regain her trust in Ansel, Jasper and Mose, but Tyson and Rueben are left behind a bit. Finding out why they’ve been treating her the way they have and kept at it, explains so much, but my heart kept aching for Tyson and Rueben who were in Olivia’s lives from the early days.
‼️Spoilers ahead‼️
When the story changes at the 60% mark, and it’s three months later I feel like we’ve missed Olivia’s change to being more open, smiling, even laughing and that Tyson and Rueben are still not 100% “allowed” to have her.
More characters and a few plot twists grace the second half of the book. More fights, more demons unleashed, more s3x (some kinky, some not).
I think maybe this could have been book two AND three, split up, but there is a lot of filler material, that is about the individual relationships between Olivia and her bonded or about the actual threat looming over their heads (but add lots of other things that don’t necessarily add to the story, just might elicit feelings of hatr3d).
The whole story of Olivia being a fragile woman to her being the strongest Hellstar is a roller coaster of emotions and sometimes she comes across as very hot/cold. Due to her being raised the way she was with heartless parents and then the first (except grandparents) to show her feelings of love, were Tyson (with Rueben and Ansel), who then dropped her like a hot potato after what happened with Rueben’s sister Camila and (forc3d) cheating.
I understood where she came from, but some secrets hidden from the men, just bit them in the butt later. I think it was some underlying pettiness on her side, like to have a hand over them after all these years. Rueben and Tyson took the brunt of this. A lot (and sometimes nothing) happens in the last 20-ish percent.

In true Amy T fashion, this is another amazing book. Must read Bought before Bought 2 as this is a direct continuation. T strength of character shown by Olivia to not only take her life back but to heal her men (physically, mentally, emtionally) had me in tears more then once. It was not only tears of sorrow but joy and from laughter. The journey that started in Bought and concluded in Bought 2 is nothing short of amazing. As always Amy T makes it very hard to ut any book she writes down.

Bought 2 is a refreshing and much-improved installment in The Lords Series. The writing has leveled up significantly, addressing past criticisms of grammar and style. It’s clear the author has honed her craft, and the result is a smoother, more engaging read.
This installment isn’t just about Olivia’s journey of embracing her powers and stepping up to challenge how the Lords treat women—it’s also about her men. They each face their own healing, addressing their grief and personal struggles, which adds emotional depth and makes their bonds feel genuine and hard-earned.
The story blends action, humor, and smut, like a lot more smut 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 (yes, there’s plenty, including M/M moments) with a slow pace that focuses on healing and transformation. The action was pretty good too.
For new readers: The Lords Series is a Reverse Harem world steeped in a mix of biblical war and mythology. While Shackled can be skipped, Bought 1 is a must to fully grasp the story.
At 570 pages, it’s the heftiest in the series but also the most rewarding. Most loose ends are tied up, giving Olivia her HEA while leaving enough intrigue for future installments.
This is a dark romance, so naturally, there’s a trigger warning. The author hasn’t provided a list, but sensitive readers can likely contact her for guidance. Themes like grief, suicide, SA, loss of a child, unwanted pregnancies, and some homophobia are present—proceed with care.
I’m excited to see where the author takes us next! Bought 2 delivers on healing, action, and transformation, proving it’s the best in the series so far.
one of my favorite quotes :

"Bought 2" plunges us back into the captivating world of "The Lords Series," where the intricate power dynamics between the Lords and Dukes are finally laid bare. We also delve deep into Olivia's past, uncovering the roots of her pain and the reasons behind her initial mistrust. While it was satisfying to see her gradually open up to Ansel, Jasper, and Mose, I couldn't shake the feeling that Tyson and Rueben were unfairly sidelined. Their past connection to Olivia felt significant, and I yearned for a deeper exploration of their reconciliation.
The sudden time jump in the narrative left me with a sense of disconnect. While Olivia's newfound happiness was evident, the path she took to reach that point remained shrouded in mystery. I craved the opportunity to witness her transformation firsthand, to see her gradually embrace joy and laughter after enduring so much hardship. It felt like a missed opportunity to delve into the nuances of her emotional healing, especially regarding her complex relationship with Tyson and Rueben.
Despite this, the second half of the book delivers a whirlwind of excitement. New characters emerge, adding layers of intrigue to the already captivating plot. The action sequences are thrilling, and the demonic encounters are genuinely chilling. Olivia's evolution from a vulnerable woman to a formidable Hellstar is nothing short of inspiring.
"Bought 2" is a testament to the indomitable human spirit and the power of love to heal even the deepest wounds. While I yearned for a more intimate portrayal of Olivia's journey towards happiness, the book ultimately captivated me with its intricate world-building, compelling characters, and thrilling plot.
Omg I was so excited to read this story, I could not wait. I went back and read book 1 to refresh and make sure I remembered everything. What a ride, I love this story at times I felt like it dragged a little to long. This was a crazy, crazy ride. There was more and more layers. I love all the characters. I don't know if I could say one is my favorite, I love them all. Mose might be my least favorite, but Hellcniht is a favorite. I love the ending and the extra twisted. Must read the first before reading this one and please read trigger warnings. I was kind of wanting more. I wanted to know what happens next.

🥀🥀🥀 Please mind your triggers!!! before you continue with this series.
Brutal, cruel, relentless, but arresting - the journey continues for these Lords & Lady! A few (some key) secrets come to light, which may make or break Olivia’s tenuous connection with the Lords who want to claim her. What has happened in her dark past cannot all be put to rest, but what her men (demons) can actually do goes a long way to proving their worth for her. A lot of detail is supplied of this world through interactions with other members of the Lords and their associates. Overall, a very entertaining and engrossing read!
We see a stronger and more confident Olivia in Bought 2. This book goes into much more detail and explains a lot more of the storyline. It answers many questions and I really enjoyed it. There is definitely A LOT going on and at times hard to follow but I loved all the main characters and brings up emotions of sadness, anger, frustration and love. Can't wait for the next book in the series! Recommend for mature readers, make sure to read the trigger warnings.
