In this book she explores if there is there a set of universal truths and strategies that, if followed, would allow us to bounce back. She describes a roadmap that would show you how to recover from setbacks and seize opportunities and she shares a toolkit that would equip you with the skills to manage our emotions and cope with any challenge and so-doing build emotional resilience.

About the

Dr Charlotte Morgan is a psychologist with dual specialties in clinical psychology and neuropsychology, with more than 25
years of experience in the field. She started her career in 1993 as Clinical Psychometrist assessing entry-level defence force recruits in the South African National Defence Force. After completing a MSc in Clinical Psychology in 1996 she worked in the Brain Injury Rehabilitation ward at 1 Military Hospital in South Africa. She completed her Doctorate in Neuropsychology and became head of the Department of Neuropsychology at 1 Military Hospital in 1998.

Later the same year she married and emigrated to England with her husband to further her specialty in the field of neuropsychology. In London she worked as Clinical Neuropsychologist at the private Wellington Hospital and started a part-time private practice in Harley Street, specialising in the neuropsychological assessment of non-English-speaking children with brain injuries.

While watching the 2000 Olympic Games on television, Dr Morgan became interested in Australia and its people. Following an arduous flight to Sydney, she was rewarded by a breathtaking view of Sydney Harbour on a perfect sunny day, and immediately decided to emigrate to “God’s Own Country.”

In Sydney, she worked as a Clinical Psychologist at the Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney (RRCS) in the Brain Injury and Spinal Injury units, conducting evidence-based psychotherapies and neuropsychological assessments and rehabilitation with patients with brain and spinal injuries. She became Acting Director of Psychology in 2004 before going on maternity leave.

After the birth of her children, she started a private practice where she has worked ever since.
