I'm sorry...was there more to this book than just the Sexy as Sin, Black Irish Sean Muldoon? Really? I must have not been able to see past the page where Shannon meets Sean for the first time.....ohhhh mama!! Did I ever tell you I have a thing for guys with accents? Yea...Sean Muldoon definitely does it for me...Very Tom Hardy-esque!

So sorry...moving on...the book...GETTING LUCKY...quite the fun start to a new series from Jennifer Seasons, an Avon Romance author that came onto the scene with her Diamonds and Dugouts series and then took some time off, and is BACK with the Fortune, Colorado series, beginning with Sean Muldoon, who we met in THROWING HEAT as Peter Kowalskin's half brother. (BTW....Peter Kowalskin...OMG...can you say MUST READ!)

The Fortune, Colorado series definitely has the Fools Gold (Susan Mallery) feel to it, with a town and secondary characters that feel as big as the main characters, but don't overtake the love story, which I have to say, was on quite the sizzle from the first time Shannon and Sean meet! It is always hard to try and balance the first in a series with trying to make it only about the main characters and their love story and also, trying to get in information to build the next few books, or about the town/back story/etc, but Jennifer did a great job at giving a nice balance, and still keeping me hooked on Sean and Shannon and what might happen to them if the "secrets" come out!

With a steady balance of romance and mystery, GETTING LUCKY is a satisfying start to the Fortune, Colorado series from Season!

I look forward to the next in the series and recommend giving GETTING LUCKY a try!

If you haven't yet read a story by Jennifer Seasons then you don't know what you're missing. She writes good stories with characters you like to read about...yes I'm talking about Sean!

Don't judge me, wait until you reading Getting Lucky then you'll know what I'm talking about!

I think you'll really like Shannon (just not as much as Sean Haha!) she's a really good person put in a bad position. At time what she does gets on my nerves, but then I know that for the story line, it's necessary.

I think you'll really enjoy the story and will want to read more of Jennifer Seasons books. Getting Lucky is book one of Fortune Colorado! So not to worry, more hot guys! Happy reading!

Interesting enough plot, but there was definitely something lacking.

Shannon and Sean were decent enough as MCs. Both were a little clichéd, but somehow it worked. The best part was her sister, Colleen. The set up was good, but then everything seemed really rushed. And the ending was reaaaaally unbelievable.

A quick read, but I won't be reading any others in the series.

Shannon's family fortune and legacy are in trouble, and if someone doesn't out the competition for cheating, they'll lose everything. Always under her cold father's thumb, Shannon is pushed into spying, snagging a job at Sean Muldoon's ranch to catch him in the act and redeem the Charlemagne name in the world of horse racing.

But the Sean she meets is nothing like the man her father purports him to be. He seems above board in everything, and even Shannon's occasional snooping turns up nothing suspicious. Of course, it would be a lot easier if the heat level didn't shoot through the roof each time he walks into a room. Shannon's ruse is supposed to be all business, but it's quickly turning into all heart.

But... Shannon's assumption when the horse was doped? Really? Let's see… She's seen no evidence that Sean is up to anything underhanded, despite her father's insistence. The missing bottle was sitting there so long that it left a ring on the shelf when taken, and the surrounding bottles are dusty as well. And then, of course, there's the bottle and syringe left not just in plain sight but actually right there at the scene of the crime, not hidden away or disposed of or even discreetly tucked into a corner. A five year old would know that shit was planted, so why is Shannon's immediate conclusion that Sean, a man who has supposedly been successful at surreptitiously doping his horses, is to blame? Did the scene where Shannon had a lobotomy get cut in editing?

The Verdict: Is “suspenseful fluff” a thing? ‘Cause that's how I'd categorize this book. While there's definitely some mystery and suspense going on, and Shannon's deception is cause for some angst, their love story is awesomely sweet. And Sean… never have work clothes been so hot!

Shannon's led a somewhat sheltered life. While her father can never be called overprotective, he's definitely controlling and practically incapable of feelings beyond selfishness. Shannon's naivete isn't the easiest thing to relate to, but it's still understandable, given the way her father treats her. It's clear from the get-go that while she's an intelligent and capable woman, fear and anxiety where her father's concerned have taken their toll. She's too busy trying to stay off Devil Dad's radar to really live for herself, and she knows better than to speak up or offer her opinion when her father demands something of her. In that way, she's bullied into ingratiating herself to Sean, her father's main competition on the track and in horse breeding, with the plan to out Sean for unethical ways of winning.

Sean is less than the person he could be as well. He's strong and independent, and fortune has certainly been in his favor. But his very existence is a lie, a necessary deception for survival, and his past comes back to haunt him in the worst way. He's spent the last several years reinventing himself and trying to make a new life in America, away from the criminals who nearly killed him and sent him running from Ireland.

The mystery aspect of the story is confusing in the best way. I was pretty sure about a certain someone's involvement, but just how it all came about as a nice surprise. Just as surprising was Sean's reaction when everything came to light. Where the story could have taken a quick drive through the not-so-magical land of cliches, Sean's curiosity and faith in Shannon came out strong, making for an incredibly happy ending.

The ending itself seemed to move very fast, but I think that's in part to the craziness that unraveled there near the end. High level drama and action almost always moves quickly, reading more like a real life bizarre twist than a rush to wrap up the book. All in all, it was pretty intriguing and entertaining throughout, and it certainly didn't hurt that Sean was about ten kinds of hotness wrapped up in Wranglers and an Irish cap. This is the first book I've ready by Jennifer Seasons, and I can't imagine it being the last.

If you're looking for a light and fluffy read then Getting Lucky is definitely for you... Unfortunately I was hoping for a little more. With the hero being on the run from the Irish mob I expected a lot more drama and suspense, and instead what I got was a cute read with no real depth. Not that I didn't enjoy it, because I did... I was just hoping for more.

Shannon, being the dutiful daughter that she is, is on a mission to dig up dirt on Sean and his horses. She, of course, isn't expecting the immediate attraction for the Sexy Irishman. And what a sexy Irishman he is. You gotta love a man with a sexy accent... And throw in the occasional Gaelic? Yum!

Sean feels the attraction just as quick as Shannon does, along with the overwhelming need to protect her. And, of course, he knows the best way to protect her would be to keep his distance. But we all know that can only work for so long, right?!

So with Shannon trying to please her father, an Irish mob hot on their heels, and both of them trying so hard to deny what's right in front of them, how could it ever work out? Well, that's for you to find out!

As I said before, there's not much drama in this one, and I definitely feel like Shannon's deceit was too easily forgotten, but for an easy angst-free read it wasn't too bad. I am curious to read Apple and Jake's story so I'll probably check out the next book in the series when it comes out.

Great blend of romance and suspense with a hunky Irish horseman thrown in. Yep, I'm happy!! Really enjoyed this one. A great beginning to a new series and I am looking forward to the next book! In this book Sean Muldoon (the newly found brother of Peter Kowalskin from Diamonds and Dugouts series) is living in Colorado, keeping his life simple and hoping his past in Ireland doesn't catch up with him. Shannon Charlemagne shows up applying for his stable manager job and keeping a few secrets of her own. Life is about to change in a big way for both of them! I highly recommend this one.

Shannon Charlemagne's family is famous in equestrian circles, going back several generations and Shannon has been brought up to always put the business first, even if it requires her to go undercover to infiltrate a competitor's business and dig up dirt to be used to discredit the competitor. Shannon is the obedient and amenable of the Charlemagne daughters, the people-pleaser and the pressure of her living up to her father's demands has her constantly anxious and battling panic attacks, obviously not a good choice to practice the deception needed. To make the situation worse, one look at Sean Muldoon and she finds herself fighting a major attraction to him.

Sean Muldoon has had a colorful past. Growing up in the back alleys of Dublin, Sean fought his way out of poverty and boxing was his ticket. At least until he found himself on the hook with the Irish mob and fled to America with only the clothes on his back and a thoroughbred racehorse.

The Good: Getting Lucky was an enjoyable read and the high point for me was that Shannon discovered herself and became more assertive when she got away from her father's influence. Her sister, Colleen was the star of the story in my opinion and I look forward to reading her story.

Sean was a cutie, easy-going and very protective of those he cared for. He was willing to walk away from Shannon for her own safety.

The characters were fun and likable and I enjoyed the friendships that grew between the girls and the guys along with the ribbing that went along with it; as well as the fact that, even though his friends knew Sean was hiding something, they were supportive of him and gave him the room to confide in them at his own time.

The Not-So-Good: Getting Lucky has the plot line for a great book. With a story that combines romance and a mystery, a sexy Irishman living under a false name and danger from the mob, I had very high expectations for a fast-paced story with lots of action and drama. Sadly it fell a little short for me. I may be in the minority when I say that the story felt very rushed and the pace was choppy. The story did not flow smoothly from scene to scene but felt like the author was in a hurry to get to the conclusion. Also, the ending of the story was too easy and a bit unrealistic.

That said, Ms. Seasons introduced some characters that I am interested in following up on. Jake and Apple's story shows promise that I hope it will deliver on. I also hope that Colleen will get a story of her own.

The one story trope that typically isn't my favorite is that of deception. I don't care how good the intentions are, I just don't believe that a relationship can possibly form and last when it was built off of lies...

...but in the case of GETTING LUCKY, I'll let that slide. Not because Shannon's secrets and Sean's secrets outweigh one another (two wrongs don't make a right, and all that jazz), but because they had true, legit reasons and through it all, they still new the entirity of the person they were with.

Shannon is the wallflower of her family. She's the do-gooder, the quiet one in the corner. She's the people-pleaser -- so much so, that she suffers from panic attacks. Her sister is loud, boisterous, and going to med school. When their father announces he needs someone to go to Sean Muldoon's stables and figure out if he's drugging his horses, or whatever the hell he's doing to cause the Charlemagne family to lose business because Muldoon's horses are performing better, Shannon gets pushed to be the investigator -- and as such, the anxiety starts to creep back into her life and she fears not being good enough. But equally, she hates the fact that she's going into a situation where she's being untrue.

Sean is full-Irish, has the accent to match and everything. He came to the states on the run -- he was a boxer in his home country and a bet gone wrong sent him fleeing. It's been years, but he's not dumb enough to think the threat still isn't there. In the states, he took a new surname and made a name for himself -- something that wasn't exactly ideal when trying to stay hidden.

Business is booming, and as such, his mates Aiden and Jake want to help him find hired help. They put in an ad for a stable manager, but Sean keeps pushing the people away. On one particularly harried day, though, just as he's muttering over spreadsheets, a voice calls to him from the doorway. When Shannon comes in and takes over phone calls and proves her worth, he decides to hire her.

...didn't hurt that she was pretty to look at either.

This is a story of Shannon trying to make her family happy, but finding her self along the way. She starts to spread her wings and take back the life she should have never put aside.

This is a story of Sean trying his damnedest to stay hidden, and then slowly opening up his world to possibilities. Their lives molded together perfectly -- there was instant chemistry, after all. What they don't expect, though, is the magnitude of their secrets when they finally come to light.

I loved watching Shannon become her own person. In the beginning, she was very much the shy, timid daughter, but Sean and his stables brought out the outspoken, brave woman she could be. He was extremely good for her.

Sean, too, was a joy to watch. He didn't conform to "western" standards, and was very much an Irishman racing American Thoroughbreds. He refused to don a cowboy hat, instead wearing his Irish wool caps like they were the newest American trend. He started out stressed, but there was always an underlying jovial quality to him. You knew that at one time, he loved life. He was a fighter, both physically and emotionally, both past and present. He was protective, too, and I certainly do love that in my heroes.

The first of a new series, Getting Lucky by Jennifer Seasons is a contemporary romance with a decided small town feel. Just the sort of story laden with characters and potential stories to come that will reel readers in and keep them waiting for more. Particularly if the writing and characters continue to defy conventionally expected norms that I want in my romances.

Starting off with a plot that requires some deception, I was wondering if Seasons would be able to pull a romance off with two characters who are actively deceiving one another. I understood the reasons for it, and could even empathize with Shannon’s position, as the people-pleaser of her family, she will do what it takes for approval. But that doesn’t excuse her purpose, even if her intentions were not necessarily her own.

But let me back up: Shanon is a Charlemagne, daughter of a very successful Thoroughbred racing stable in Colorado. Racing is not always a pretty game – it’s far darker and more cutthroat on the backside (the stables) than going to the races would indicate. But Shannon has the skills, talent and experience to manage a racing stable, and that is what her father demands she do: infiltrate the stables of Sean Muldoon to discover just what he is doing to achieve such success, often to the detriment of her own family’s endeavors.

Sean Muldoon had a hard life growing up in Ireland, and has worked both on the legal and illegal side of racecourses for years. His experience has enabled him to settle in Fortune and build his own stable of winners. It’s just difficult finding help. When a friend in town suggests that he run an advert and start interviewing, he turns down several candidates until meeting Shannon.

These two are point / counterpoint: Sean is tall and dark, Black Irish with coal black hair, green eyes and an accent that charms the moss of the Blarney Stone. Shannon is fair and red-haired, a tad on the timid and shy side.

These two are really fun together: Shannon is slowly getting to be more comfortable in her own skin, and she wants that skin near Sean. Sean is as sexy as can be, and he likes Shannon, well, perhaps more than likes her. But his past is a dangerous place with deadly people, and he knows that his success with racing just may bring that danger to his door.

From some angsty moments to high drama, softer times slipped in that allowed the two to get closer and soon their secrets are revealed. Far from being a stumbling block, Shannon’s impetus for invading Sean’s stables gave her a purpose, and showed her that she can survive while making her own decisions. Sean’s confidence in Shannon’s regard for him and that just may be worth taking big chance.

Fun and light with just enough angst from past issues and the current threat of Sean’s past returning to endanger his new life this story flew by. Plenty of characters from the town are introduced and presented with the start of their own HEA’s has me intrigued and ready for the next book.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND:

Sean Muldoon is a man with a bad past. He grew up in a bad town in Ireland, and had to fight hard to live. But now he's living a better life, one where he sees Shannon fitting perfectly inand completing the picture. 


Shannon Charlemagne is the good daughter. She's been good at keeping her head down and doing what she's told since she was a kid. But meeting Sean and being in Fortune, Colorado made her want to be better, stronger, and free. 


TO LOVE:
I was enthralled with this book. From a technical aspect, it was well-written, there were no typo errors or whatnot, and the ending and starting of a chapter is smooth. Now on a more personal level, I loved the characters, both main and support. They were different yet the same. They offer lots if color and life in the story, and it made the setup of Fortune, Colorado that more interesting. Jennifer Seasons' succesfully paved the set for hia series, and I can't wait for the other two installments.


This novel had the right amount of humor, romance, friendship, action, suspense, sexy, and dirty. It's well-balanced and so are the characters. The twist in the plot was not something I saw coming. At all. I loved the dialogue, especially the exchange between Shannon and Colleen. It's like the perfect sister banter. 


TO BLEH:

I just didn't like the fact that animals were being hurt here. Sure it's not in real life, I know that, but it makes me sad nonetheless. Maybe less animal pain in future books. *pleading eyes*


SUMMARY:

I didn't give much details, and this review is more general because the plot is very twisted and I don't want to spoil it for others. This is a fantastic read and deserves 5 stars. I recommend this to everyone!

Can I get an Amen! I have finally died and gone to heaven because we have two of my favorite kind of men wrapped up in one in this book. An Irish Cowboy! I am sure others have written this type of hero but this is the first book I have read with him in it. Jennifer captures the feeling of Dublin, Ireland very well too. When I was there I saw the ruff parts and the privileged areas. Irish men are so sexy and the thing is that most know it too. I liked that even though Sean knows he is hot and that there is a strong passion with Shannon he does try to fight it. He has goals and convictions he has a hard time forgetting. I was hooked on Sean right away but not just because of the Irish heritage, it was his determination to not let the life he had been dealt define him as the man he would always be. That to me shows so much caricature and is very attractive. Listen to me describe him as if he is real, this should show you that while reading you will be drawn into all the secrets, past and present. You will need to know the people in the town better. This is a series that will leave us wanting more…
Shannon is a strong women trapped in a need to please mentality and I could completely understand why. She was strong because she was able to move away from her family only listening to her father because she wanted to protect her sister and to get approval. I loved watching her grow and become the women she was meant to be. Shannon is looking for Sean’s secrets knowing she is hiding things herself. She has a hard time thinking around the sexy man and yet can’t wait to see him again. Lies, secrets, and danger await in this page turner. You have no doubt read the blurb and will read the excerpt, now go buy the book because this new series is going to be a favorite I can assure you!

This was a light fun start to a new series set in smalltown Colorado. Our male lead, Sean, is truly swoonworthy - a Black Irish lad with coal black hair, striking green eyes surrounded by lush lashes, and an applebottom to boot. I m pictured him as a rugged Colin Farrell. And Shannon, the auburn-haired freckled lass, well that's me of course. We are just missing that she should have a head full of unruly curls like me. Oh, and I don't come from money and privilege, or know a thing about horses. But that's okay, I would be willing to practice riding on with Sean.

The characters in this story, both main and secondary, were engaging and likable. Future books and love interests were set up well in this first installment. As for the main characters, Sean had an interesting back story but I think we could have delved into it a bit more to give this story and edge. When I think of bare knuckle boxing in Ireland, I think Brad Pitt in Snatch - very gritty. In contrast, this story was pretty wholesome with a tad of heat in the sex scenes. The overall drama and resolution was too PG for me. But that's just my dark and twisted brain.

I can say one thing. This was a quick and happy read. I enjoyed the book enough to continue on with the series. The next book, Talking Dirty, will feature pub owner, Jake, and the town librarian, Apple (who I picture as Bernadette from Big Ban Theory).

This is a fast paced romance with a dose of suspense. In the world of horse racing, Shannon is brow-beaten by her controlling father into accepting a job as stable manager for his main competion, Sean Muldoon, where he expects her to act as a spy. Her family has been top racing competitors for years, but now they are having serious financial problems. As she gets to know her new boss, she begins to have doubts that Sean is cheating at racing and they both become attracted to each other. This doesn't bode well as both come with their own secrets. Soon dangerous things begin to happen and Sean and Shannon have to decide if they can trust each other.
Sean is a sexy and likeable character who loves what he does but he has had a dangerous past. Shannon comes across a little weak at first, letting her father push her around enough to have her searching through Sean's business and home and trying to dig up any dirt. But this also comes across as real because the bonds of parent and child don't stop at age 21 and we all want to be there for our families, especially when there is trouble. Ms Seasons delivers the goods with this story especially in showing the growth in Shannon as her loyalties are tested. This is a very inviting read.

This is my first experience with Ms. Seasons' books. I love when a book blends a douse of mystery and romance. I also have a thing for Irish characters so when I read the synopsis of Ms. Seasons' Getting Lucky, I thought this is a book for me. In all seriousness though, I appreciated the kick off to a brand new series and I look forward to investing more time with Fortune, Colorado.

I truly believe the first book of any series is the hardest to read and must be the hardest to write. As a reader, we have to be willing to decide if we are going to devote the time into a new series. As a writer, I can only imagine the pressure they must feel giving the reader all the information they feel they need in order to set the series up, but also paying enough attention to the first couple's love story.

I could not help but think that Fortune, Colorado reminds me of Fool's Gold, the fictional town by Susan Mallery. And often times, Nora Roberts' Irish Trilogy also popped into mind--mainly because of Sean and the horses. Perhaps it is just me, but I do like it when books remind me of ones I have read in the past because it is like a warm, comforting hug as long as it is not so much like the others it is a carbon copy. Overall, I felt it was a nice beginning to a new series.

This is a fun read about a racing family in America whose fortunes are unaccountably on the wane. One daughter of the family is pushed by her sister and father into applying for the job of stable manager with their main rival in Colorado. He's an incomer from Ireland and doesn't know the quiet girl, who has been prompted to display her personal assets so this sexy single guy will hire her.

We learn that not every winner is doped but some bosses gamble too much. We also learn that if the theft of Shergar had resulted in his being used for breeding illicitly, his descendants could be scooping up prizes. (It's believed that the poor stud came to a bad end.) We learn that getting involved in bad company once will last far longer than you may want, and nobody will like you if they find out the truth.

I'm puzzled that the character says in vitro breeding is allowed in racing - it's not allowed in the British General Stud Book, though it may be in USA. Also the horse in question has to be able to perform his stud duties to produce what's required, which the tale was implying wouldn't happen due to an injury. Still, we're reading this for fun and it's a lively romance with a dollop of danger.

This is kind of a fun twist in what we’re used to seeing in that the girl is the one who decides to infiltrate the “enemy’s” camp. When Shannon’s family name is in trouble, she decides to get a job at the competition’s ranch to catch them in their suspected cheating. When she gets the job, she totally doesn’t expect enemy number one Sean to be so honorable, not to mention so hot. Sparks were flying from the moment they met.

Sean was the star here. With his sexy accent and muscles, he stole the show. I liked the other characters well enough. There were a lot of problems, though. I would think first and foremost that a ranch of this caliber would be running background checks on their employees and don’t even get me started on the evidence that Shannon supposedly uncovers. But what absolutely ruined this book for me was the ending. And that’s pretty much all I have to say about that, besides that it was way to rushed and kind of ridiculous. Getting Lucky needs more character development and a tighter storyline to live up to its potential.

Getting Lucky was a fantastic story with a blend of romance, excitement, and humor. The only issue that I had with this book is how it ended (not the epilogue ending), but the overall plot ending. I felt like it was very anti-climatic. I was expecting something exciting and it was just kinda.... a let down. It wasn't bad, I just didn't think it was really believable.

Shannon was someone who just wanted to find out who she really was, and to finally make a stand for herself, and through her love for Sean, she is able to do that. Sean was... well, he was just absolutely amazing!! He's the kind of guy that you can't not love just because of who he is and what he does.

The romance was so sweet, and beautiful, and it showed that love overcomes anything, and that love frees you. Sean was very protective of Shannon, and Shannon was very protective of Sean. I fee like usually it's always the guy doing something to save the girl, but in this case it was Shannon who did something that would save Sean.

I can never resist a story where the main male character is a hot and sexy Irishman with a troubled past. Sean was the biggest draw for me in this story, and he makes for an amazing male lead. Kind-hearted, protective, strong...and did I mention hot and sexy? Yeah, well with Sean it's worth mentioning again.

The female lead, Shannon, was a bit weak at the start of the story, but as time goes on she becomes stronger and able to stand up for herself. It does bug me that she's willing to do her father's bidding to start the story off, but she does redeem herself eventually.

The two of them together make for a lot of sexual tension, especially since there's a lack of trust on both sides to go along with it. Place that squarely in the middle of some suspenseful scenes and you've got a good, quick, solid read. I was a little iffy about the believability of the big confrontation at the end, but overall the story was enjoyable. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series as the secondary characters are pretty cool, and the setup for future stories that starts here in Getting Lucky has my interest piqued.

I like light contemporary romance novels because they provide hours of entertainment without the emotional roller coaster that I usually get from the darker books that I tend to read. Getting Lucky from Jennifer Seasons is such a book that even with cliched main characters and a common premise, it still was a book that I definitely enjoyed.

Of course, if you've read anything from this author before, you'd already know that her books always have that entertainment factor that holds a reader's attention. She has great heroes who are easy to fall in love with, and her heroines are strong women who borders on perfection and reality.

Getting Lucky is a sweet and romantic novel that her fans and readers will surely love. If you haven't read from this author yet, this book is a good place to start. You can't go wrong on this book. A hot hero, a beautiful heroine, a little action, and electrifying chemistry are all factors that make sure you enjoy this book to the fullest.

This story is the perfect combination of romance with mystery. I look forward to many more stories from Fortune and learning about more of the characters. Shannon has grown up with privilege, but it has come at a price to her and she is about to learn just how high it is. Her father excepts nothing less than full cooperation and will not stop until he receives it from both Shannon and her sister. The horse world is one that does tend to have some mystery to it and this empire is no exception. Sean is exactly what I would expect an Irish hero to be like and he had me sighing throughout the story. He may have had humble beginnings and a hard childhood, but he rose above it. I loved reading this and held my breath at times when I thought that fate might deal Shannon and Sean a hand that neither of them could fight. This is a perfect story for a hot summer day or a night in to relax.

I read another of Jennifer Seasons's books, and I fell head over heels for it. I was excited for this series to begin, and Getting Lucky is the perfect start for the series! I read this one in a day, and already I am counting down for book 2.

A love story, the Irish mob, and horses - what more do you need? Getting Lucky was a whirlwind to read and I loved everyone moment. Shannon and Sean had me rooting for both of them the entire time.

I'm excited for the next book, and I'm hoping the third book will be Colleen's story, as that one will be a hoot. The women of this series are already setting quite the standard of being awesome.

Great start to a new series set in a small town of Colorado! Besides Sean and Shannon's story, we are also introduced to the other characters in the series whose stories are coming up next. The story is a light read, even the suspense portion of it is pretty light. There is plenty of sexiness with it being dirty and you will definitely drool over Sean. The book is not that long, and their relationship develops very fast, but overall is an enjoyable read. I really liked Apple and I can't wait to see what she has in store for Jack!
