ARC Review
I love novellas! This is a cute little story about Aiden and Lily who met and fall in love at a coffee shop. When Aiden and Lily go to his cabin, an accident occurs resulting in Lily having memory loss. Aiden is so patient with Lily and doesn’t push her to try and remember the past they once had. He continues to stay by her side and help her along the road to recovery. Not everyone gets a second chance at love…especially your true love! Which ever you believe, fate vs destiny, true love will find its way, back into the mind of the beholder!
This is my first time reading one of Kimberley Montpetit’s book. This book was beautifully written and I will be seeking out more of her books going forward. Thank you for giving me the privilege of ARC’ing this book.

Wowzers this novella has a lot going on with it! There is more than jam packed in this story than I think I’ve ever read before! Also, this is my first exposure to Kimberley Montpetit’s writing, so maybe they are all like this…
When you first start the book, you’re immersed in the latest antics that are going on at the local Montana based Coffee Loft! The patrons have come out in mass to show off their dancing moves to earn their free drink much to the amusement of Lily! Lily is the manager of the establishment, and her demeanor takes on a new life when a lumberjack comes in strutting his best moves to Van Halen! This is no ordinary patron; Aiden is truly one of a kind in so many ways!
Aiden is more than a lumberjack; he is the man who has fallen in love with Lily! We see him whisks Lily off her feet and promises her a nice and quiet romantic evening in! I love watching these two evolve over the course of the book and his pup, Bullet, is ever present too! Aiden’s loyalty is tested after a freak accident, but the man proves his worth and unfailing admiration, despite taking on the blame for what happened!
The highs and lows throughout this book had me hooked and I couldn’t put it down! This is a perfect lazy day read that you may or may not need tissues for! I love seeing the power of tight-knit loving community shine through! They took care of one of their own and I loved that! One thing I couldn’t help but shiver at is the mention of the cold Montana winters, I survived them for a few years myself and don’t miss them one bit! They are pretty to look at but not so fun with the cold temperatures! Job well done Kimberley!

Never was there a more suited couple than Aiden and Lily. They were adorable from the start, flirting and teasing each other. This was a couple that were so comfortable with each other and they felt so natural.
So when a tragic accident at Aiden’s logging cabin means Lily’s memory of them together is wiped out, she views him as a complete stranger, it strikes Aiden right to his soul, he’s devastated.
I really like this story, the first few chapters really get you invested in Aiden and Lily‘s relationship, you can feel the next chapter of their lives just around the corner then bam! When the accident finally happened, the happy ever after was ripped from the book and thrown away.
I found after the accident, the story sped along very fast to the happy-ever-after conclusion. I know this was only a novella therefore things do move fast but I felt this story could have worked as a full-length novel, that the second chance, falling in love again could have been built up slower, we’re not sure why she blocked out the relationship in the first place, there weren’t any real signs of her being afraid to commit to Aiden.
Overall I enjoyed the story, I just wish there had been more of it and a little more depth to the resolution.

A sweet Hallmark like love story, with the best doggie sidekick!
This is short and sweet, the FMC Lily is dating burley logger man Aiden, and when they are up spending a snow day at his cabin, an accident occurs causing Lily amnesia, that may affect the future of their relationship. When Lily wakes up in the hospital, she no longer recognizes Aiden Quinn, this man whom everyone is telling her is her boyfriend, she has never seen in her life!
I thought this was a cute and classic story, of a couple having to sort of re-find their way back to each other. I honestly got rather annoyed with Lily at times, because well, obviously the reader hadn't gotten amnesia, so the way Lily acted with Aiden seemed a bit harsh, especially when everyone including her own mom was telling her that she in fact does know Aiden. She did manage to remember his dog Bullet though, which is rather amusing! Aiden is such a kind, golden retriever character, that takes his time to let Lily get comfortable with him again.
This story is a very closed door romance, but super sweet, literally and figuratively, if you enjoy donuts, you will probably get really hungry while reading!

Inspiring, touching story! The main characters in the book are a wonderful, sweet couple you can’t help but cheer for to get their HEA! Aiden is such a cinnamon roll, gentle giant who loves Lily and is always there for her. Lily is the girl next door, everybody in town knows and loves. The book is full of swoon worthy moments, laugh out loud scenes, and moments that tug at your heart. And an adorable German Shepherd named Bullet who will definitely steal your heart! Another great addition to the Coffee Loft Series!

Cocoa Kisses & Mountain Misses is Kimberley Montpetit’s newest rom-com novella set in fictional Snow Valley, Montana. There are no sex scenes or profanity, and Lily is a naïve and inexperienced 29-year-old. This story is part of the Coffee Loft series, a set of interconnected stories from multiple authors, which can each be read as standalones. This story doesn’t contain any overlapping characters from the author’s previous Coffee Loft books, Wake Me Up Before You Cocoa and Snow Is Falling, Cocoa Is Calling.
29-year-old Lily Wilder is the barista and manager at the Snow Valley Coffee Loft. She has been dating Aiden Quinn for 11 months, and they have recently declared their love for each other. Aiden is a 6’ 4” muscular logger who was four years ahead of Lily in school. He is a genuinely nice guy, and lives alone in his remote cabin most of the year with his faithful German Shepherd, Bullet.
One afternoon in January, Aiden picks up Lily from work and takes her to his cabin for the first time so that she can enjoy the sunset. She spends the night in his office/spare bedroom, with the intention that they will play in the snow the following morning. Cocoa Kisses & Mountain Misses is a clean novella that can be enjoyed in an evening but be sure to have some sweets nearby. Lily is awfully naïve and inexperienced to be 29 years old; her attitude and remarks upon visiting Aiden’s cabin and spending the night were immature for a woman of her age. Aiden was the perfect hero and was amazingly patient in giving Lily the space she needed. The author did an outstanding job of describing the symptoms of a concussion. Aidens’s dog, Bullet, was an added bonus to this story.

A magical kiss, just like in Sleeping Beauty
Cocoa Kisses & Mountain Misses by Kimberley Montpetit is the swoony romance story of Lily and Aiden. Lily, a barista at a Coffee Loft Shop, has an adoring mountain logger boyfriend, Aiden, and he is everything you want in a boyfriend. He is totally in love with Lily. But when they go to his cabin in the mountain, things are not going as planned as Lily gets in an accident.
This book, a standalone in the great Coffee Loft series, was such a joy to read! From the vey first I loved reading this book. The first scene is so funny (you have to read the book yourself to know what I mean) and you immediately knew Lily and Aiden belong together. They have a great chemistry and the loving banter between them is so sweet and cute. I had no idea where the story would go, but when Lily got in an accident and could not remember Aiden, I got a bit teary eyed. That was so awful and my heart almost broke for Aiden. He is such a great character and you felt all his emotions.
Lily is also a very likable character; she says funny things all the time and I had to smile a lot while reading this book. When she cannot remember Aiden, and the world seems fuzzy to Lily, I felt for her as well. It seemed like she went forward in time and I think Kimberley Montpetit did a wonderful job getting this across.
As the story progressed, I so hoped Lily would remember Aiden and he did everything he could to keep his distance, but at the same time he did all he could so Lily would know who he was. And the end was just so wonderful and romantic.
I loved reading Cocoa Kisses & Mountain Misses a lot. It is a beautiful romance story, with two main characters you root for, it has a flowing engaging writing style and a great plot twist, but also a really good magical ending.
If you want to read a heartwarming romance story, this is the book you want to read.

Cocoa Kisses and Mountain Misses :-
Swoon is Kimberley Montpetit’s craft and it’s Mountain Bean Coffee Loft style. Cold Montana winter means spending time with hot drinks at the Coffee Loft . It’s the heart of the community a wonderful continuity as familiar as the birds in the trees. A gentle society at ease. Aiden is a Lumberjack and so much more ,in fact when he did Van Halen .He deserved that encore. Lily is the owner and good on her she makes the Coffee Loft highly welcoming and she has returning visitors oft. Once you set foot in the door ,you’ll be coming back for more. An encore to bearded men and crisp is the air . The odd kiss or two too. Aiden is a Van Halen nut but what Lily feels is in her gut. She knows somehow deep down ,although she doesn’t know the man ,that he would do all he can to make her happy. Aiden and Lily ,they’re in love and everything else is a plus. Then the terrible incident occurs and she looks at Aiden non-plus . Her memory has gone and thus so is their love….? Can they get it back ,well if it is up to this wonderful man it’ll be right on track.His German Shepherd dog Bullet is there along the way ,he’s Aiden’s dog though ,not a stray. Love can find its way to their forever if only because she loves Bullet best ,or that’s as it seems because it’s when she seems HIM that she beams and remembers . I’m sure Aiden does give a jot as long as she remembers him soon as not. Awesome storytelling and oh the emotions and the devotions from one man and his faithful dog. A perfect mountain Bean Coffee Loft book . It’s sublime, it would certainly be a crime not to open up and take a look . It’s superb storytelling and such an awesomely compelling read. A sweetest love story truth be told with a little hiccup before they’re sold . A safe bet,who’ll get their happy ever after yet. Very good writing with descriptors so vivid and a real to life story . Thoroughly enjoyed it every bit.

Kimberley nailed it with this one! I absolutely devoured this book. The story and the characters were well written and enjoyable. I was hooked from the beginning until the end. I definitely didn't want this book to end. I fell in love with Aiden and Lily!
Aiden is the perfect man in every way! He's a gorgeous strong mountain man that everybody dreams of. He has a German Shepherd dog named Bullet that is so sweet and smart himself. Aiden is in love with Lily and after one awful accident things slide of track.
Lily works at The Coffee Loft and has the BIGGEST sweet tooth. The only thing she loves more then sweet treats is Aiden. When an accident happens and she ends up with amnesia things definitely get interesting.
This book had me swooning so much! I had some laugh out loud moments, moments I was smiling so much my cheeks hurt and most of all I was left with my heart full! I absolutely love Kimberley's books! This was the third book Kimberley did in The Coffee Loft Series and I think she just keeps getting better! I highly recommend this book and the other two she wrote in this series as well.

Cocoa Kisses and Mountain Misses is part of the Coffee Loft Series: Mountain Loft Collection. This is a multi-author series of standalone novels, with each story featuring a Coffee Loft shop.
Another super cute addition to the Coffee Loft series... this time with amnesia!? Yes, please! This story started off a little different than your typical romance reads, with the MMC (Aiden) and FMC (Lily) already in a relationship... but after a logging accident leaves her with amnesia, she has no memories of the mountain man everyone keeps insisting she is in love with. The amnesia trope is not one I read a ton of, but this one was done well--- I really felt like the author did a great job of portraying Lily's confusion in a way that really made me feel for her... and had me wondering what that must be like--- to wake up with gaps in my memory. Aiden was such a sweetheart and so patient with her too. This was a super short read, but perfect for a quick winter read. It was cozy and comforting--- like curling up with a good cup of cocoa!
Cocoa Kisses and Mountain Misses is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.

Another super cute addition to the Coffee Loft series... this time with amnesia!? Yes, please! This story started off a little different than your typical romance reads, with the MMC (Aiden) and FMC (Lily) already in a relationship... but after a logging accident leaves her with amnesia, she has no memories of the mountain man everyone keeps insisting she is in love with. The amnesia trope is not one I read a ton of, but this one was done well--- I really felt like the author did a great job of portraying Lily's confusion in a way that really made me feel for her... and had me wondering what that must be like--- to wake up with gaps in my memory. Aiden was such a sweetheart and so patient with her too. This was a super short read, but perfect for a quick winter read. It was cozy and comforting--- like curling up with a good cup of cocoa!

Some of the lines I really like --- “A dirty logger dude is more like it.” --- “Nope, we serve all kinds of hooligans and reprobates at this establishment.” --- "I don’t need much of an excuse to feel those astonishing muscles of yours. Mind-boggling muscles, actually.” --- “Those endless pines are the perfect backdrop to God’s paintbrush.” --- “It’s so cold in Alaska they can’t even get their ovens to stay hot, and Hawaii only makes pineapple and coconut donuts . . ." --- it read: PRETEND WE ARE WALMART AND COME ON INSIDE. --- “If you call watching an action thriller movie and getting ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery in Helena high society, then I’m your man.” ---
Will Lily get her memory back and remember Aiden?
I loved Lily and Aiden's story and I'm sure you will too. I've loved everyone of her books that I've read and listened to and I can't wait to read her next book.

A mountain man with a beard as the hero in any romance always makes the story more interesting and definitely swoony. There is nothing more swoony than a man in flannel. Everything about Aiden screams mountain man, but do not let his stature fool you, he is a squishy cinnamon roll underneath. He is also in love with Lily.
Lily works at the local Coffee Loft. You never know what may happen at the Coffee Loft, including a dance competition for free drinks that will have you laughing so hard.
When an accident leaves Lily with amnesia, this is when you will really fall in love with Aiden. Sweetness overload is the key here. And I do not mean that in a bad way. Aiden is an absolute doll even as his loyalty to Lily is tested. This book was full of so much emotion, fun and smiles.
You can never go wrong with a book in the Coffee Loft series. This is another winner for the series.

I haven't read a main character with amnesia in awhile. I've found these stories can go one of two ways. The story which rips your heart out and requires tissues. Or one which won't. Cocoa Kisses is one of the latter. Two very likeable characters, a sweet meet cute. I think this is my favorite in the series.
Aiden is a lumberjack. Le swoon. And Lily is the manager of the Coffee Loft. Their chemistry sizzles. It's Lily who gets amnesia and Aiden is so caring and patient, not pushy. Some people have called this a second chance story. I like to think of it as relationship innterupted.
It's novella length and thus a quick read. Lots of fun. Lots of smiles.

When Aiden and Lily and Bullet, Aiden's German Shepard, go to spend time outside, an unthinkable accident happens.
Aiden gets Lily to the hospital and treats. Lily has no memory of Aiden.
Aiden gives Lily space, but worry is constant.
When Aiden asks Lily to the Valentines Day dance, he hoped it would be a magic night.

This was a cute winter themed cozy romance. It is considered a clean romance with no spice and only had a few sweet kisses. This story is part of the coffee loft series which features different authors contributing stories with a similar theme/prompt.
In this story, Lily works as a barista at the Coffee Loft in a small Montana town. She loves hot chocolate and donuts and sexy logger, Aiden Quinn. An accident occurs while Lily and Aiden are on a short cabin getaway and it changes the course of their relationship.
I thought this story was cute, cozy and a quick read. I look forward to reading more books in the coffee loft series and more clean romances from this author.

Cocoa Kisses and Mountain Misses is apart of The Coffee Loft Series: Mountain Brew Collection and is one that you do not want to miss. This was a sweet love story that had me turning pages until the very end. The book is a cozy and easy read with good characters. It was written really well and I look forward to reading the author's other books. I highly enjoyed this read and would recommend it to any reader who loves romance. It was insta-love! When I started reading Cocoa Kisses & Mountain Misses, I immediately fell in love with Lily, Aiden and Bullet! There was this amazing connection to these characters. Lily’s sweet tooth is rather awesome. Aiden is the quintessential mountain man, logger and gentleman. German Shepherd’s are outstanding dogs and Bullet lives up to his name! The only sad thing was that Lily got hurt, but that allowed Aiden to show even more of his caring character. This is the perfect winter read! (Actually, it is perfect anytime, but we were having some very cold temperatures when I read it!)

This is the final book in the Coffee Loft Series and it was so cute! I loved the characters and Bullet, the dog, was an extra special touch. It’s a closed door romance with Hallmark movie feel. Easy to binge and loved the ending.

This book had everything that I would want in a romance read: strong, caring man, a witty, independent woman, and a sweet dog! I loved these characters and how their relationship was developed. The MMC's respect for what the FMC was going through was so thoughtful. The plot was engaging. This was quick but satisfying read. The side characters brought additional life to this story. I loved the focus on a community looking out for one of their own. I highly recommend picking this book up!

Lily and Aiden were friends who became lovers. However, an accident causes Lily to lose her memories of Aiden. This forces Aiden to re-introduce himself into Lily’s life again.
Thankfully, Aiden is Mr Nice Guy and everyone in the small town vouches for him. He gets an opportunity to date Lily again and he truly goes all out.
This book was a really quick and sweet read, with the story taking place during the Valentine’s Day season. If you are a dog lover, you will love Bullet who is featured strongly here too.

I am such a fan of the Coffee Loft books! Kimberly Montpetit has written the sweetest story about the lasting power of love. Aiden is a swoony mountain man in love! Even after tragedy strikes, he stays true to himself and the woman he loves, never giving up on their love. Lilly is the quirky barista we all know and love! She faces a difficult situation and suffers from a horrible accident, but she keeps her “cool” and eventually life and love right themselves! I highly recommend this sweet, short read!

Cocoa Kisses and Mountain Kisses is part of a multi-author series. Has a mix of friends to lovers with an added intrigue as the female lead suffers temporary memory loss and so the story is the journey of her finding her way back.

This was a short novella, and with short novella’s it can often be rushed or lack depth. With that being said, it was a cute story.

I was given this book to review.
I thought it was a cute story overall. I was very interested in the amnesia aspect of the story, because that is something I haven’t seen in the romance books I read.
I was very confused at the beginning of the book on who the characters were and how they knew each other. I wasn’t told to read prior books but I feel if I had I would have known more about what was going on in the beginning of this book. I also felt like the end of the book ended fairly abruptly.
Overall it was a cute and quick read.

I loved this adorable, sweet book. Lily is the Coffee Loft manager and has a promotion if you come in dancing, you get a free coffee, Aiden the lumberjack comes in totally rocking it and gets everyone laughing. They are a dynamic couple until an accident happens. I love how the community and mostly Aiden stood beside Lily and helped her when she needed it. This is a very enjoyable, fun, quick read that can be read quickly.
