I read Manifest in Action because I enjoyed Roxie Nafousi's previous book, Manifest: 7 Steps to Living Your Best Life.

This new book offers practical steps and exercises to help apply the principles of manifestation in everyday life.

Manifest in Action is a comprehensive guide to turning dreams into reality. 🤩

After reading it, I feel more confident and focused on my goals.

It's like having a personal coach within the pages of a book.

I really loved the first book as it changed my entire perception about a word and concept I thought was “woo woo” for years.

This book felt a little repetitive and I felt like it was more of a very well developed journal apposed to a book as it was filled with mostly exercises on every 1-3 pages or so. Which is fantastic if you’ve never answered the questions that were asked in the book, however I feel I have done a lot of this work over the last 4.5 years so I didn’t always complete them as they felt a little too obvious to spend time exploring them as I was fully aware already etc.

With that all being said, if you are a beginner to self development you’ll love this book as it does make it very simple and broken down for you, however if you’re someone who understands gratitude, how to connect your behaviours to your thoughts / actions and vice versa, has awareness over the things that drive your choices etc etc this book may not fully resonate.

I did love parts of this book, don’t get me wrong and I love love love the author and she was someone I wrote down in my “5 people who inspire you” list, I just wish this book dove deeper into the science behind manifestation whilst weaving in the 7 steps.

Again - loved the first one, but I thought this missed out on really crucial elements but I also gained some value, where a self development beginner will gain a ton.

I believe everyone manifests subconsciously whether they know it or not. I know for me it started when I was younger I wasn't manifesting as such but visualizing certain things. I really want to educate myself in the arts of manifesting because I believe it is such a powerful tool. I picked up a book a couple of months ago on manifesting and I didn't like it because I felt I was reading what I already knew. So when I went to pick this up I held it to the same expectation. However what I didn't know is that this is the 'dive deeper' companion to the first book. I am glad I picked this up first because I think it is for people who have a basic understanding of manifesting and want to 'dive deeper'. Why I loved this is because it didn't go on about visualizing your dream car or job it talks about manifesting transforming your life. Thinks like how you communicate too working on your mental health. It taught me that manifesting isn't something that is passive. I will be picking this up because it has exercises and journal prompts that you can come back too. Reading this book has made me realise how much my religion and spirituality inform my manifesting process. I also loved reading Roxie's own journey and her route to manifesting. It is life-changing (yes I am using that word) empowering and such a motivating read. Highly recommend to everyone.

Since the Manifest books came out, I love starting my year with reading them first to get me in the zone.
Really enjoyed this second one.. I feel like ever since I’ve read these books, they shifted my perspective and mindset. Obsessed!

Reflections and lessons learned:
“…you are the author of your own story. When you think about your future, get excited, as the best is yet to come”

I always feel that I’m a fine balance - most of the time I love grinning, and nodding and smiling and helping and learning - positive things with a big double thumbs up! But I’m also a realist that likes to know what’s coming and be prepared for the bigger things in life - as a result it still feels indulgent and goading fate to plan the future. I’m good at fear and doubt, but I’m thankfully almost as good with stationery and creative planning… If you’re looking for reminders to ensure that you’re looking after the positivity in you life this is a great follow on from the first book

Another really great book from Roxie Nafousi - a deeper dive into her original book 'manifest'. I have gotten through both of these books really quickly because I love the concept and the way it is explained is really simple and to the point but at the same time gives you a lot of detail and depth.

I really love all the exercises included as these can be used time and time again to overcome X challenges. Practical techniques to assist in your healing journey and really, truly understanding the 7 steps has helped me a lot on my manifesting journey.

As a true believer in the power of manifestation, I really enjoyed this read from Roxie Nafousi – as well as the journal prompts that you can use or return to when working through each of her seven steps.

I particularly enjoyed the sections on removing fear and doubt, embracing gratitude, and trusting in the universe. I feel inspired to work towards my best self after finishing the book, which I believe is always a sign of a great non-fiction read.

Manifestation culture can be really toxic, emphasizing delusion, toxic positivity, and pseudo psychology. If you’re interested in a book to coach you through a more helpful and grounded approach to changing your mindset, this is definitely a great choice.

If you're one who needs practical exercise to power up your manifesting approach, you might love to go bottomless with this. As you know, manifest is about attracting things and visualizing something in your life. However, the author emphasizes the things that you 'attract' should make your life feel content and fulfilled.

But how do you figure out the things that you want?
Can you differentiate between what you really want vs. what you think you should want?

This is the time we should be clear with our visualization. More details, the better! That should consider your first step. The author presents seven unique stages with some critical questions in each stage for you to answer.

Step 1: Be Clear In Your Vision
Step 2: Remove Fear and Doubt
Step 3: Align Your Behaviour
Step 4: Overcome Tests from the Universe
Step 5: Embrace Gratitude
Step 6: Turn Envy Into Inspiration
Step 7: Trust in the Universe

I love the approach as it contains simplicity and is broken down for you but I've trouble fully resonating with the steps given because it feels repetitive and too surface. And sometimes, it's like a workbook with too many pressing questions and less action. Do you get what I mean?

Despite all that, I love her ways of talking about emotion and comparison in step six. As we always live in a culture of comparison, envy/jealousy must be something that takes a toll on us. Dealing with hostile emotions is a process for us to learn to validate those feelings so that they won't negatively impact our manifesting process. Although step six just sounds verbal with no practical practice, it does pique my attention with her inspiring words.

Still gaining some value from this book and helping me in changing my way of thinking. Thank you to Times Distribution for the valuable copy.

I'm very open to the concept of manifesting, but this was a load of fluffy nonsense that could have been summed up in a few Instagram posts. Whilst it wasn't as full of tone deaf middle class examples as the first book ('i manifested a London flat that my Dad just happens to own'), the examples were weak or vague, along with the many quotes from 'unknown'. I also found the exercises to be fairly hollow and basic, and they tended to encourage a lot of thought/rumination on adversity/challenges/general negativity before coming round to any positives - not very high vibe imo. Not for me.

At first I thought this would just be a reiteration of the first book, but it is honestly such a great augmentation and refresher of Roxie's first book about manifesting. There is some overlap, but I think Roxie did an amazing job at taking it all a bit further and for people who are not in their first introductory stage of manifesting, like her first book is perfect for.
Overall, very happy I decided to read it. Also her voice is just magical and I love her, so listening to the narrated version (with the PDF available for the exercises) was fabulous.

I am not disappointed that I have chosen this book as first one. Many usefull excercises and I loved mantra “I am capable of anything I put my mind to.” and something I forget always “We can not change the past and we can not change what experiences shaped us, but we can change the power they have over us.” and last one “Life is wonderful and you have the power to make it so.”

Just disappointed. It’s hard to call this a book, maybe self help journal (?). It may be useful together with first book if you want to go through the manifesting journey and do all the exercises, but on itself - wasn’t worth my time.

Like an actionable version of MANIFEST. It’s full of exercises and questions to ask yourself - but I could never write directly onto the book - it’s too pretty!

Does not add nearly anything to her first book - besides the fun facts that meeting up with her husband she was still doing cocaine while dating with him. Um, didn’t she like get pregnant quite after meeting him? :) Nice job. But anyway, glad she’s okay now. I did take some notes, but those were mostly quotes.
***
MANIFESTATION MAX. When manifesting, don’t tiptoe, go outrageous. Dream the “impossible” dream, write down the totally unrealistic stuff, otherwise you’re just doing a boring shopping list.
SEATBELT ANALOGY. Visualizing is like a car seatbelt – yank too hard and it locks up, but steady hands slide it into place. Same with manifesting: stop clawing at it, ease into it.
WORTHINESS BLOCK. The biggest block in visualization isn’t technique, it’s that you don’t believe you deserve the result. Start stripping away those dusty childhood scripts that say “I don’t deserve this,” and act as if you actually should have what you want. Negative stuff you feel now is just the leftover stains of your past – time to clean it up.
BELIEF TRUMPS THOUGHT. You don’t manifest what you repeat to Yourself, you manifest what you actually believe. So stop chasing universal approval – you don’t even like everyone you meet, so why expect this reversed. To change your life, you literally have to be the change, cliché but true. Mandela line hits: there’s no passion in playing small, in settling for mediocre. Extra‑ordinary requires saying no to “good enough.”
SELF-LOVE FUEL. Be the love you need, not the beggar of love outside. Letting go of failing things isn’t weakness, it’s a power move – dead weight doesn’t make you a warrior, it just makes you tired. Gratitude isn’t the byproduct of happiness, it’s the other way around.
VISION SHYNESS. Don’t stare at your vision board every day – first, it’ll just remind you what you don’t have yet, and second, if it’s public you’ll censor yourself. A vision board full of half-truths because you’re too embarrassed to admit you want the yacht and the lover is useless.
