This brief introduction to Hitchcock's skills aims to examine how the master of suspense directs the audience's perspective to influence their attitudes and enhance their engagement with his films. This essay analyzes two scenes from two of Hitchcock's most notable *Psycho* (1960) and *The Birds* (1963). To explore these concepts, I will refer to Douglas Pye's *Movies and Point of View* (2000) to discuss how various elements of point of view are employed to create a specific effect.
