Charlie Learns To Be A Cowboy perfectly grasps what it means to be a well rounded rancher, cowboy, and decent man! The illustrations are beautiful and capture the lifestyle of a cowboy so wonderfully!
My 18 month old was already reading it with me and pointing at all the animals. Your child will love this book and the messages it teaches them!

Lovely book for children teaching them about cowboys
Charlie is a little boy who wants to be a cowboy. He thinks that he is brave and strong and that is enough to be a cowboy. From his grandma and grandma’s ranch, he learns what is necessary to become a cowboy. Nice painted illustrations and good read for kids.

This is a refreshing children's book in both its subject matter and its overall approach. The stereotypical picture of the American cowboy is replaced with a much more rounded, complex and sympathetic one to which any child would want to aspire. The beautifully rendered illustrations perfectly support the deeply felt text. I loved this book!

As an avid horse lover, this book touched my heart. It is a wonderful story of the toughness and tenderness needed to care for and compete with horses as well as the other animals on a ranch or farm. The wording is perfectly and skillfully illustrated on each page making this a treasured gift for any little one wanting to be a cowboy. Actually, for anyone! The illustrations are so inviting and well done, it could be a coffee table book, just beautiful! Five Stars!
