The illustrations are beautiful and capture the lifestyle of a cowboy so wonderfully! My 18 month old was already reading it with me and pointing at all the animals. Your child will love this book and the messages it teaches them!
Lovely book for children teaching them about cowboys Charlie is a little boy who wants to be a cowboy. He thinks that he is brave and strong and that is enough to be a cowboy. From his grandma and grandma’s ranch, he learns what is necessary to become a cowboy. Nice painted illustrations and good read for kids.
This is a refreshing children's book in both its subject matter and its overall approach. The stereotypical picture of the American cowboy is replaced with a much more rounded, complex and sympathetic one to which any child would want to aspire. The beautifully rendered illustrations perfectly support the deeply felt text. I loved this book!
