Loved it!!

Another great book in the series. Belinda is such a strong female character, typical of the Emma Leech style and of course she gets herself into plenty of trouble 🤣. Felix isn’t ready to settle down but then he meets Belinda and his life is turned upside down. Can’t wait for the next book. Enjoyed the snippets hinting at future plots.

This was pretty good, I liked Belinda and I adore Felix. The beginning of this was quite good and I feel like there was a good amount of tension and chemistry between the two. But then I feel like the story kind of dropped off with the Mr. Flint plot line and setting up the fake engagement. This definitely wasn't bad, but I feel like there's a certain spark missing from the characters and the plot. Also, as I keep saying, I think the lack of spice contributes to the lack of tension and just fun to the story? Everything is just very even and low stakes.

I appreciated Belinda's resolution with her father, but I wish there was more of an explanation for why he treated her terribly for so many years to then fall at her feet when she's kidnapped... I also wish Felix and Belinda ran into each other more or something? I actually feel like the scenes between the two were a bit minimal and lacked depth.

His wicked Lady

I absolutely loved Felix and Belinda’s story. Belinda’s father is an Earl who hates the Knight family with a passion and tries to disrupt any business deal he can of theirs.
When Belinda comes to Felix with a business proposal, he’s shocked but highly intrigued. When they make the deal Felix knows there will be trouble. Belinda is impressed by Felix but they seem to get under each other’s skin. When she publishes the first excerpts of a book from an anonymous author, it is a hit. Belinda is giddy especially when she over hears her father and the Duke talking about the published work.
When she asks Felix to marry her and she says no, she then goes to his friend the Earl of Ashburton and he agrees to marriage of convenience. When Felix finds out he rushes over and lets Belinda know he’s made a mistake. But when Belinda’s life is threatened Felix will do anything to save her even save her father’s life.
A wonderfully written story with a beautiful ending.

I was really looking forward to reading this book about Felix and Belinda. The story was great the characters were also good but somehow., I didn’t see the connection between the two. Felix is so hesitant to get involved and initially it made sense.i loved Belinda, spunky and not afraid to take matters into her own hands. Loved seeing Gabr and Lady Helena! However it seems like Felix and Belinda just fell into the whole marriage thing.. although it was acknowledged they” cared “ for each other, this was the first Emma Leech book that they never say I love you to each other! Wtf. Was so disappointed, even after the wedding consummation scene there is nothing! So this disappointed me a great deal and couldn’t give the book more than 3 stars. I wanted them to be madly, passionately in love like their parents and other characters. But wasn’t to be☹️.

Isn’t is another marvel!

I am Emma V Leech biggest fan (unless somebody track her down, and putting very long letters behind her windshield which is wrong!). It is a wonderful package of a good writing, complex characters, background characters (also amazing), great banter and chemistry and usually at least a little plot twist that make me grip my seat (metaphorically, because I do need my hands to move pages). I always mark my calendar with the next book, and anticipating and getting excited. Sadly the joy only last one evening (“Mama, can I shave the dog?” “Of course you can… Wait WHAAAT? NO!”).

Great story about Felix Knight and the clever, creative, determined, compassionate, brave, and beautiful Lady Belinda Madox-Brown!
The world of early 19th century Britain as told through the eyes of a large group of dear friends and their large family trees (start with the Girls Who Dare series and then Daring Daughters if you have never read one of Emma V. Leech's charming novels).

So dull and boring. Getting through it was an utter chore. The writing style was very dry, with long rambling monologues. Felix and Belinda spent barely any time together and had little to no chemistry. The plots in this series keep being recycled. This is the third book out of the last 4 to have a kidnapping.

Wonderful story for Felix Knight. Felix is asked to meet with Lady Belinda, a duke’s daughter; a duke that is an enemy of Felix’s father.

The chemistry between Felix, a staid business man, and Lady Belinda, an independent minded woman, bounces between adversaries and allies. She will not marry any of her father’s potential husband recommendations, which only benefit him. Scheming behind her father’s back and with Felix’s help, she brokers a deal to purchase a printing business. It’s the beginning of trials and tribulations for them both.

Can’t wait for the next book.

Felix has a meeting lady Belinda, daughter of earl Keaton, who has spent decades disliking Felix’s family and causing trouble whenever he could. She wants him to assist her in starting a business behind her father’s back. That starts their relationship which has quite a few challenges to overcome before they find their hea

I just cannot feel a connection with this series. The writing is missing some kind of special sauce that was present in the other two Daring series. I must be a true fan of the author because I keep buying these books against my better judgement.

Loved Belinda!

Belinda & Doris were such fun to read! The plot was so entertaining and Felix & Charles up to the challenges. Pip so droll, I mean every character spot on. A true joy to read. Weston next but can’t wait till Ashburton.

An entertaining book with romance, humour, misunderstandings and a dash of adventure. The two main characters are strong and believable which works well.

Towards the end of the book when the action ramps up the whole plot becomes less convincing but as a whole it is thoroughly enjoyable.

Spoiled by the writer’s ignorance of uk marriage laws. You cannot be marked in a private house in the Uk.
