Reno and Trina are back, but this time the hounds of hell are on their trail. Their marriage isn't a day old before Reno's enemies conspire against him and end up targeting his own wife. Reno, a man of honor who never starts a fight but will always finish one, refuse to let anyone get away with disrespecting him. He fights back, but he doesn't even know who the enemy is anymore. And he soon discovers that protecting his wife isn't going to be as simple as keeping her under his thumb. Trina, too, is concerned by the tumultuousness of their lifestyle as Reno's overly protective, Alpha-male behavior becomes almost unbearable for her. She, too, fights back, but she discovers that taming Reno isn't going to be as simple as doing it her way. Both are determined to make their brand new marriage work, but the odds begin to stack against them. But when Reno finds out he has a son he has never met, and his son is being used as a pawn by his enemies, the game changes again. And Reno and Trina begins to discover that not only is their way of life under attack, but their very love for each other as well.

Trina worked my nerves in this book, but it still wasn't bad. Beware of typos and the such, but I must say that you can see how much Ms. Monroe has grown as an author. And despite the issues, I really want to keep reading this series. Reno and Tommy are definitely book boyfriends.
Really tired of reading that he's not a saint. That has been said so many times I'm really just sick of reading it. Also the "banging" really? Again, like the last one the dialog really doesn't fit the characters at all. I can see it sometimes but not all the time like in these stories. The sex scenes are generic and the more I read banging in and out I want to stop reading. Can you get a bit more creative? Come on! What happened with the ex to? After the mess with the son what happened with her. What happened with JoeJoe? What happened with the other players with Pags and why in the world is Jeffery back in the picture? So many questions, not to mention the whole paternity issue not being resolved, nothing is really answered. Better but frustrating and annoying at times but not the worse.
2.5 stars Sort of exciting and predictable dime serial of the life and times of Reno Gabrini, an intrinsic mafia man, with a very real cover as a LV casino owner. His wife, who is still "new", stands by her man and she and Reno seem to have been married for years instead of months. LOL
The drama is definitely there, but the writing is rough with obvious, but disregarded potential. Still I've read on and the series gets better, especially as Reno Gabrini's character dependably finds the culprits and exacts his vengeance, but not without cost.
This series is getting better. The drama was at a serious high. Reno had a lot of tuff decisions to make and he handled them like a true ruthless boss. Reno and Katrina's relationship improved tenfold. I really felt the passion between them in this book. Although Reno still did a lot of "pounding" and "banging" there was a softer side to their lovemaking this time around which made their love story more believable. This book was a vast improvement on the last and I hope this series continues to make strides upward as it goes along.
This series is awesome! Trina and Reno are smoking together. Reno loves Trina more than life itself and he's not afraid to let her or anyone else know. I will admit, at times, I felt that Trina was a little too accepting of his faults and his past, but she's good for Reno. She balances his personality out. The ending is crazy, but in a good way - no spoilers here- but once you read this, you'll have to immediately move on to the next in the series.
I can't wait 2 see what Reno and Trina are up 2 now...........part one was delightful, I'm hoping 4 more in this next installment...............I so love MOB stories, either loving or thug like all good 2 me (:
A Very Good and Sensual Interracial Suspenseful Romantic Thriller
Mob Boss 2: The Heart Of The Matter (The Mob Boss Series) is a very good and sensual interracial suspenseful thriller that earned a rating of four stars. Reno Gabrini had make some of the hardest decisions to protect his wife, Katrina and his family from revengeful sources. Reno Gabrini and Katrina's love is tested while trying to overcome a lot of horrible circumstances. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to everyone who enjoys reading very good interracial romantic suspenseful thrillers.
