In the treacherous world of the fae, promises are binding, and love is the most dangerous game of all.
Sapphire Hayes thought her biggest challenge would be escaping her small town in Maine.
Then she fell into the fae realm, discovered her hidden magic, faced execution by a mad king, and survived three deadly trials set by the infuriatingly handsome prince Riven.
But surviving the trials was just the beginning. Now, Sapphire’s on the run with Riven and her best friend Zoey—as fugitives from the Winter Court. And while Riven might be slowly stealing her heart, Sapphire's guarding a secret that could change everything.
Because she’s not just fae. She’s also part vampire. And her bloodlust is growing stronger by the day, turning her into a monster that Riven will surely want to destroy.
As if things couldn’t get worse, a dark-winged creature snatches Zoey away to the mysterious Night Court, leaving Sapphire with an impossible help Riven find an ancient potion that could restore peace to his kingdom, or rescue her best friend from the enigmatic Prince Aerix—a captor whose seductive cruelty might be the deadliest game of all.

2.75 - More popcorn, like, from the same bowl as book 1. There are no arcs in these stories. Not sure if I can get behind the newly introduced MMC. I guess I have no choice but to read and find out.
This is such an engrossing series, with many twists and turns. Sapphire, Zoey and Riven are on the run from the Winter Court. With Riven's help, Zoey is cured after the attack from the vampire which Sapphire managed to kill. This is when she finds out that, apart from being a Summer Fae, she is also part vampire and needs blood to survive. Neither Riven nor Zoey are aware of this fact. Zoey is then taken by a prince of the Night Court, a vampire and carried off to his court. Now Sapphire is torn between going after Zoey and helping Riven with the potion that she promised to make for him. The potion is supposed to fix the King's mind.
This author gets better with each new book. I am dying to know more about these characters. I really enjoy the idea of the night court and fae culture- it give ACOTAR vibes. This book has much more descriptions than her previous books. Will read again!
Sapphire Hayes finds herself stuck in the Fae realm struggling to find her way. To make matters worse, she discovers she’s part Summer Fae and has to learn how to use her magic all while on the run from the mad King of the Winter Court. While she and her bestie Zoey are helping Prince Riven create a potion to help cure his demented father, Zoey is taken by a dark winged creature. Sapphire must decide if she’ll follow through and help Riven or drop everything and search for her friend whilst hiding a huge secret from the Prince that might ruin it all.
Michelle Madow’s characters are expertly created and the realms are skillfully described in a way you can easily imagine that makes this series and the Star Touched Universe so hard to put down. After the crazy cliffhanger ending of Fallen Star, I’m super anxiously awaiting the release of book 3 in this series, Midnight Star!
The first book wasn’t great, but wasn’t bad. This one could use more help.
I think the biggest issue I find is how juvenile it is. MFC is incredibly immature. Her dialogue, decisions, inner ramblings…all of it. Zoey was a great character. The moment she started going off the rails about being weak, it was all down hill. She’s a complete 180 in personality. Obviously altered to fit the enemies to lovers trope. The second one happening in this one book. Tantrums and I hate yous galore. (The instant I hate yous is definitely a theme to this series).
The whole thing reads very much like a YA series. And I don’t believe that is the intention. But there is nothing about it that comes across as anything but.
The story is incredibly rushed. I mean really rushed. And the sudden “love” between the two mains? Uh what? That was so not believable. There was no kind of build up to that. They have a superficial connection at best. We won’t even go into the fact that they’ve only spent a matter of days together and until that cave the time actually together was minimal at best. Then the weird and super awkward exchange of I love yous? Literally out of nowhere. I literally started laughing out loud.
The two MFCs are incredibly immature and irritating. MMC 1 has no depth to him. Not that we get much on the others. He reads more like a side character. The whole issue with rushing everything is the cause of that. MMC2 now is too new and we haven’t gotten enough to know yet. I’m a little interested to see if this whole thing is salvageable.
I think the mid to late teen age group would be best suited for this. I’d recommend for them. Otherwise, I imagine most will find it rather juvenile.
Wow! Picking up where the first book left of you are taken on a roller coaster ride with so many twists and turns, you just can't put this book down to see where it takes you. Continuing being written in the POV style, we get more insight into both Sapphire and Zoey. With Sapphire coming into her own magic and having to hide a secret, will she tell Prince Riven? And Zoey gets kidnapped by Prince Aerix, will she be ok? There is so much intensity in this one, you have to keep turning page after page to see what is next! This is a really good series and I can't wait to see what will happen now in book 3. I highly recommend this series and this book is a really good addition. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
Sapphire thought the most dangerous things were behind her and Zoey yes they’d escaped a mad fae king who wanted them dead but have they just exchanged one evil place for another because in following Rivens instructions to escape the winter court they’ve encountered more monsters than ever starting with a shadow monster that has attacked them leaving Zoey near deaths door and Sapphire with more questions than answers as it turns out shes more than just a fae human but part vampire as well. Can Sapphire save Zoey with Rivens help and get Zoey back home before something else try’s to kill them in this realm of danger and wonder

I give this one 3.25 ⭐️ Overall I enjoyed this next stage in Sapphire’s story and there were a lot of easter eggs for readers of Michelle’s previous books that I loved. And a lot of potential foreshadow moments that I’m excited to find out about! The pacing of this book felt a bit better than in book 1, though some of the jumping in POV was a bit disorienting if you weren’t fully locked in. But I am excited about the two paths our characters are on and how they will cross in the future! Also Riven is secretly mushy on the inside and I love him lol my first impression of Aerix is “not Rhysand but Rhysand inspired” so he will def be growing on me haha now we wait for book 3!
Cover:5/5. It's a beautiful beautiful cover. Plot4-4.5/5. The plot kept me interested and that is saying a lot since I have started 30 books which I haven't finished yet. The end was amazing and the second book was way better than the first. characters 4-4.5.i can't decide which one is cooler:Aerix or Riven. I m towards Aerix though it's a close call.I give 4.5/5 stars to Aerix and a 4 to Riven. It was also interesting to see the pov of Zoey though I would love to see Aerix's pov.Or Riven's. It would be idyllic if I could see both's povs.
Whoa! Secrets with loved ones should be revealed by overcoming their fears. Book 2 continues Sapphire and Zoey’s quest home with the help of Prince Riven of the Winter Court. So close to getting home and Zoey gets taken. We get Zoey’s account what happens to her and boy is it an eye opener. And then Sapphire reveals her secret and leaves Prince Riven shocked. I want more! What a series!!
I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book was a good read by Mrs Madow as usual. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know a little more about Zoey an Riven. Slowly but surely Sapphire is growing and coming into her own. I can’t wait to see how Riven takes the new revelation although I don’t think he will care and to see how Zoey continues to find her place. Can’t wait until the next installment.
This series just get better and better with each book and this is no exception. Sapphire survived the trials but is a fugitive on the run with Zoey and Riven. Zoey gets kidnapped and taken to the Night Court and Riven needs Sapphire to help him, all the while Sapphire is hiding a pretty big secret that is coming more and more difficult to hide!! It’s an incredible addition, exciting , enthralling and has you captivated from start to finish. Looking forward to book 3.
Excellent continuation to the first book. It picked up right where it left off. I loved the banter between Sapphire and Riven. Watching their relationship develop on a deeper level was so satisfactory. And as for Zoey. Damn, her story was intense. Prince Aerix is an enigma and I can't wait to find out more about him. Looking forward to the next book.
I have read every book in the Star touched world and I have to say that they just keep getting better with each one. Saphires journey has been rough but with her beat friend by her side and Riven she has overcome many challenges. I love this world and the character build up and the worlds bigger plot. Need the next.
Oooo this book was sooo good! I love Sapphire and Rivens story but Iv got a feeling I’m going to like Zoey and Aerix’s more!!! I was not expecting to have two storylines to follow which makes me love this series even more!! Aerix is so mysterious and I need more of him … like now lol. Bring on the next book. Michelle smashes it again ⭐️
The second book in the Star Touched Fae Bound series may be better than the first! It picks up where we left off in book one - right in the middle of some heart-stopping action! Shortly after, Zoey gets taken and now the book flips between her story as a captor in the Winter Court and Sapphire's story with Riven. CANNOT wait for the next in the series to see what happens!
Sapphire and Zoey are in the wilds and Zoey is dying. Riven finds them and helps her heal Zoey but there's a catch. She has to help him heal his father of his madness. When Zoey is taken by a dark angel and they are separated from Ghost, things get personal. But its life or death and Sapphire has secrets.
Madow does it again in this installment of Star Touched. The ride is wild and tumultuous , giving the reader the fullness of a roller coaster ride. The characters are well developed and the story line continues with us trying to figure out what will happen with Zoey and now Riven. Wow!!
Definitely a page-turner. I couldn’t put it down and read this in almost one sitting. I love the stories Michelle crafts and the characters she creates. Loved the small nod to the Faerie Games as well! Loving both Zoey and Sapphire and can’t wait to find out more of their secrets!
Fallen Star was even better than the first book, i love the double POV with Sapphire and Zoey and I love that Zoey gets her story too. I’m still in love with Riven but wondering if he’s gonna get competition with Aerix. I cannot wait for the next book !
This series started good, but now that we have learned more about the characters it is even more interesting! I love how we get Zoey's POV in this one and a love interest for her. Can't wait for book three!
I love Ms. Madow's books! She writes such interesting stories about the paranormal world. Always full of love, but with challenges along the way. You won't be sorry to buy any of her books.
Un prédateur, une proie ou un couple et que penser des fées d'hiver et d'été? J'ai tellement hâte de voir le prochain livre... J'aime l'intensité du livre et la tournure que prennent les événements.
This is a great read in this authors typical style. From the start to the finish I just could not put it down. Having read some of this authors works, I sort of knew what to expect but this was a great read. I loved it. Highly recommended.
By itself, this essay makes no sense. It’s a part cut out of a complete book. It’s as if someone took a whole book and chopped it up. I guess to make more money. It leaves a lot to be desired.
OMG Michelle has done it again I can't wait for the next book in this series to come out this one has twists and turns you don't see coming and it has a cliffhanger at the end I love a good cliffhanger ending
What a great story. It has all the plot elements you could ask for: danger, adventure, romance, tension, you name it, and it’s there. Very strong characters. Zoey gets out of, and then into, trouble. This book is more about her than the previous book, and I loved getting to know her better. I enjoyed this book even more than the first book. (This is something I seem to say about every one of Michelle’s books, each is better than the last.) Can’t wait for the next one!
Fast moving and very suspenseful in novel with Sapphire, Zoey and Riven along with new characters introduced. Ends with a cliff hanger that makes me so anxious for next book!
