Oh. My. Goodness. This book was an absolute delight! If you’re looking for a fun, easy read with all the right ingredients—banter, spice, swoony moments, and just the right amount of depth—this one is for you.

Mia is fiery, sarcastic, and unapologetically herself, and I adored every second of it. Theo? The ultimate grumpy single dad who thinks he’s immune to her charms (spoiler: he’s definitely not). Their chemistry? Off. The. Charts. Seriously, their back-and-forth had me grinning like an idiot.

But what really made this book stand out was how naturally grief and healing were woven into the story. It never felt heavy, just beautifully real. The emotional moments hit in the best way, adding layers to the swoony romance without ever slowing it down.

It’s the perfect mix of heart and heat, with an enemies-to-lovers spark that sizzles. If you love a grumpy/sunshine dynamic, single dad romance, and characters who make you feel all the emotions, this one’s a must-read! 💕✨

I received an ARC of this book…

Apparently, I’m Trouble was a cute, fast paced, spicy read. Tropes in this book were enemies-to-lovers and teacher-parent relationship. This book follows Mia, a teacher, who starts off on the wrong foot with Theo. Mia is surprised when Theo’s daughter is in her class. As the universe keeps forcing Mia and Theo together, the ice thaws between them until other problems arise.

The banter between Mia and Theo was fun to read. I had not read the previous two books in the series so I was a bit confused at times in the beginning. I did struggle a bit with the writing at the beginning of the book, it felt a bit choppy, but then picked up.

Thank you to Luna Literary Management for the ARC.

This was a solid 3⭐️ read.

This is way overdue but I still wanted to give an honest review of this book. This is my first Demi Blaize book and I want thank her and Luna Literary for providing me with a copy.

Rating: ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

I really enjoyed this book that I devoured it! It was such a pleasure to read.

What I found entertaining is that Mia and Theo are living the enemies to lovers trope and how Mia is aware that. That was hilarious. However, OMG that massage scene!!! 🥵

I liked Mia as a FMC. She’s unapologetically herself and very loyal to Lilly. She even refused to be embarrassed when her vibrator rolled out of her bag in public and Theo gave it back to her. She’s so passionate about teaching that I ended up wanting to sit-in in one of her classes.

Now Theo, he was a grump. Period. However, he’s a different person with Kira that he would do anything for her, even perform on stage just because she wanted to see him do so. He became such a softy after he realized his feelings for Mia.

What I didn’t like tho, was how Kira reacted after she found out about the relationship between Theo and Mia. It reminded me of a child throwing a tantrum to be honest.

Overall, this is a quick and fun read (with a lot of spice).

This book was pretty cute, I really liked it, I read it pretty fast, slightly tricky to put down 😂

Mia is a pretty feisty ‘bulldozer’ who I’d definitely want fighting in my corner. But there’s not much she wouldn’t do to ensure her actions didn’t hurt those she loves even if she ends up hurting herself. Theo is a pretty adorable Dad, really trying to be there for his daughter. Even if he doesn’t know what to do, his heart is always in the right place when it comes to Kira. These two find themselves in an enemies to lovers storyline and honestly chaos ensues, and secrets always get out 👀 thankfully there’s a lot of growth for all the characters and we get to see them figure out the next steps along the way.

I really like that there was anxiety and grief addressed in this book, highlighting things people wouldn’t usually see behind closed doors. Speaking from experience, i definitely identified with the reality of these and i appreciated how it was portrayed.

Thank you Demi Blaize and Luna Literary for the ARC 💕

If you love grumpy single dads, then this is for you 👏🏼

Theo moves with his daughter to a new town for a fresh start, he does everything to make sure she’s happy and enjoying school, until he meets her teacher Mia Walker.

Mia is an amazing teacher, but she’s always unfiltered and speaks what’s on her mind.
Her only goal for the year is to focus on her teaching and pass it smoothly, however it all goes sideways when Theo enters the picture.

I loved how they turned from enemies to the “fuck it” moment then lovers 🥰.
Their relationship was so cute, they both found what they needed in each other.

Thank you Grey’s Promotion for the ARC.

This is a parent/teacher romance. Oof the tension between these two!! and boy was it spicy
It's like this forbidden romance but there is nothing really stopping them but themselves. Kira was definitely my favorite character. They have a rough start and things go down hill for a bit. Once they get on the same page though... I enjoyed seeing their personalities shine though
Seeing who fell first was such a giddy moment for me!

"Apparently I'm trouble" was my first book by Demi Blaze. This was a really sweet and romantic love story.

Mia was this fiery sunshine and, in the meantime, sarcastic in her own way. Hers and Theo's first meeting didn't go well, and she was definitely in for a surprise when she found out he was the father of one of her students. He was the grumpy MMC within this story. Even though at the beginning he didn't see eye to eye with Mia, he couldn't stop thinking about her. The trouble was that he also couldn't stay away from her. They started as enemies, but the attraction between them was stronger. The angst and the banter they had was so good that I couldn't stop reading those pages.

I loved Mia's devotion to her students and especially the one towards Lily. She was good at her job and she wanted to give those kids the help they needed.

Even though this was a love story, there were so many emotional moments within and I felt everything.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading Mia and Theo's love story.

"Apparently, I'm Trouble" isn't just another romantic comedy; it's a vibrant, witty, and deeply satisfying addition to the genre, further cementing this author's place as a go-to for engaging and emotionally resonant stories. As someone who eagerly anticipates each new release, having thoroughly enjoyed their previous work, diving into Mia and Theo's world felt like settling into a favorite armchair – comfortable, familiar, yet brimming with fresh delights.
The novel immediately hooks you with its irresistible premise: the collision of the fiercely independent and unapologetically outspoken Mia Walker with the brooding, protective single father Theo Hudson. Their initial dynamic is a masterclass in the enemies-to-lovers trope, crackling with sharp banter and humorous misunderstandings fueled by their contrasting personalities. Mia is a firecracker, driven by her unwavering dedication to her students and her loyalty to her best friend, Lilly. Her determination to secure those crucial program spots injects a compelling sense of urgency into the narrative. Theo, initially viewing Mia as a disruptive force in his carefully ordered life, embodies the classic grumpy hero archetype, yet the author subtly hints at the warmth and vulnerability beneath his guarded exterior.
The slow burn of their relationship is expertly paced and utterly captivating. The forced proximity created by his daughter's mentorship under Mia provides ample opportunities for their preconceived notions to crumble. The author skillfully peels back the layers of their initial animosity, revealing the underlying strengths and vulnerabilities that draw them together. Theo's fierce protectiveness of his daughter and Mia's passionate advocacy for her students are not just plot devices; they are integral aspects of their characters that foster a genuine connection, making the "opposites attract" dynamic feel organic and believable.
The "high-stakes workplace conflict" elevates the narrative beyond a simple romance. Mia's professional aspirations are intrinsically linked to the success of her students, creating a tangible sense of pressure and consequence. This external conflict serves as a catalyst for unexpected collaborations between Mia and Theo, forcing them to see each other in a new light and further fueling the simmering tension between them.
The promise of "earned spice" is not just met, but exceeded. The romantic tension simmers with delicious anticipation throughout the book, building to moments of intimacy that feel like a natural and deeply satisfying culmination of their emotional journey. The dual first-person point of view is an invaluable tool, allowing readers intimate access to the inner thoughts and burgeoning feelings of both Mia and Theo, making their eventual connection feel all the more earned and emotionally resonant.
Beyond the central romance, the theme of "found family" adds a layer of heartwarming depth. Mia's unwavering bond with Lilly and her fierce dedication to her students create a strong sense of community and belonging, enriching her character and providing a powerful context for her motivations. This element of found family resonates deeply and adds an extra layer of emotional investment to the story.
The author's writing remains a true strength, effortlessly weaving together laugh-out-loud humor with moments of genuine vulnerability and poignant emotion. The dialogue is sharp, witty, and incredibly authentic, perfectly capturing the distinct voices of each character and making their interactions feel incredibly real. The vibrant backdrop of contemporary New York City adds another layer of charm and atmosphere to the story.
In essence, "Apparently, I'm Trouble" is more than just a spicy romantic comedy; it's a beautifully crafted story about breaking down walls, finding connection in unexpected places, and the courage it takes to embrace the possibility of love, even when it seems like the most troublesome option. For a devoted reader like myself, this book is a resounding confirmation of the author's talent for creating compelling characters and delivering consistently enjoyable and emotionally satisfying stories. It's a must-read for anyone seeking a witty, heartwarming, and thoroughly engaging enemies-to-lovers romance that will leave you with a contented sigh and a longing for more.

Review:
You ever start a book and think, “Meh, not sure about this…” but then—BAM—it suddenly owns your soul? That was me with Apparently, I’m Trouble. At first, I was side-eyeing the pages, but then the story picked up, and I was fully obsessed. The banter? Top-tier. The romance? Slow-burn deliciousness with just the right amount of spice. 🔥 I was ready to slap a 4.5 or even 5-star rating on this bad boy… and then the last 20% happened.
Let’s just say, some character choices had me yelling, "SIR, EXPLAIN YOURSELF." 😤 I needed more groveling, more accountability, more common sense. Instead, certain things got brushed off way too easily, and I just couldn’t get behind it. That being said, the chemistry? Still chefs kiss. The tension? A+. I just wish the ending didn’t make me feel like I’d been bamboozled.

Why You’ll Amor This Book:

✔ A snarky, lovable heroine – A walking hot mess in the best way. 🤭
✔ Grumpy x Sunshine magic – That "I hate you… but do I?" kinda vibe. 🌞☁️
✔ Banter so good you wanna high-five the author – No notes. Just perfection. 🔥
✔ The right level of spice – Enough to keep things interesting without setting off fire alarms. 😉
✔ A single papá who’s swoon-worthy… mostly – Just don’t ask about the last 20%. 😬

Tropes You’ll Find:

💘 Grumpy x Sunshine
😂 Enemies to Lovers-ish
💌 Witty Banter Galore
💥 Soltera Dad Romance

Final Thoughts:
This book had me HOOKED with the humor, the tension, and the chemistry, but that last chunk of the story? Woof. If you love rom-coms with ridiculously good banter, steamy slow burns, and just a dash of chaos, this one’s worth checking out. Just… be prepared for some questionable choices toward the end. 😅

Thank you to @GreysPromotions and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

If you're in the mood for a rom-com that’s packed with witty banter, sizzling chemistry, and a whole lot of heart, Apparently, I’m Trouble is exactly what you need. This funny enemies-to-lovers tale has it all—humor, tension, and an emotional payoff that hits just right.

The book follows Mia Walker, a no-nonsense woman who’s fiercely committed to her job. She's a total powerhouse, working tirelessly to help her students land scholarships, and she's not afraid to speak her mind. Enter Theo Hudson—a brooding single dad who thinks Mia is nothing but a thorn in his side. From the moment they clash, sparks fly. Theo’s all about keeping things under control, while Mia is unapologetically bold and ready to shake things up. It’s a recipe for disaster… or maybe something a little more exciting.

Their rivalry is so deliciously entertaining, filled with sharp banter and a slow-burn tension that’ll have you hooked. As the two of them are forced to work together for the sake of Theo’s daughter, what starts as a battle of wills gradually shifts into something much more magnetic. Their fiery back-and-forth turns into a sizzling chemistry that you just can’t ignore.

The dynamic between Mia and Theo makes this story stand out. Mia is unapologetically herself—confident, strong, and just the right amount of sassy—while Theo is all about being protective, reserved, and, well, a bit grumpy. But beneath his cool exterior, there’s more to him than meets the eye. Their witty exchanges are packed with layers—sarcasm, passion, and those moments of unexpected vulnerability. You’ll be rooting for them to finally drop their walls and admit they’re deeper than they think.

And it’s not all just fun and games. The romance goes from lighthearted to deeply emotional as the characters navigate their personal growth and open up to each other. It’s not just about two people falling for each other; it’s about trust, vulnerability, and finding someone who challenges you in the best way possible.

Demi Blaize nails the balance between humor, heat, and heart, crafting a story that feels fun, fiery, and surprisingly touching. If you’re a fan of rom-coms with a little extra spice, Apparently, I’m Trouble is the book for you!

This romance story has it all! Witty banter, sizzling spice, swoon worthy moments, and characters that are layered and deep. Where first impressions don’t paint the best picture and second chances are needed. When I finished reading this book I had laughed, gasped, blushed, squealed, and kicked my feet with glee. An absolute amazing story about two people who get off on the wrong foot and grow to see they may just be perfect for each other.

Theo and his daughter, Kira, are both grieving the loss of Kira’s mother. Since Theo and Kira’s mom only had Kira in common, Theo is grieving as he doesn’t know how to console his daughter. He decides a fresh start for both of them is needed and heads to New York. Kira remains shy and starts to have panic attacks when she thinks about her mother. Thankfully Kira’s new teacher is able to reach her and begins to help her through the grieving process. Not so thankfully, Kira’s teacher is someone that Theo can’t stand.

Mia can’t believe her luck when the new student in her class ends up being the daughter of someone she can’t stand. Well, thank god she only has to see him at school occasionally. Except she keeps running into him outside of school. Her attitude towards him is filled with fire and passion, but they are certain this is due to the strong dislike they have for each other. He’s the parent of one of her kids, teacher romance 101, he is off limits. As they spend more time together, Mia begins realizing there is a very, very fine line between hatred and attraction. Again, she can’t believe her luck!

Demi knows how to edge her readers with the “will they or won’t they” and pulls you into “they will, but when” territory. As the tension builds between Mia and Theo and their blaring chemistry drips off the pages, when the spice hits, it takes off. The sizzle becomes a full on bonfire that neither one can control any longer. Reading the two MCs falling for each other felt organic and real as it unfolded. I love that in a romance book!

I fully recommend this book and the author!

As always, review any author notes before reading.

Mia and Theo meet while Mia is doing a fundraiser. When that’s over Mia thinks she is rid of Theo, but the universe has other plans. Theo thinks Mia is trouble. She’s sarcastic and says what she thinks. She’s also his daughter’s teacher and she has to get all five of her students to earn program spots or her best friend, Lilly, could lose her promotion. At first it’s easy, they hate each other. But the more they are thrown together, the more the tension builds until it reaches a boiling point. But if that cross that line, what will it mean for Mia, for Theo, his daughter Kira, and Lilly?

Ahh this book was perfect!! I wish I didn’t have to work because I would have finished it a lot sooner! This book has everything that you want from a romance, romantic comedy, enemies to lovers book – it’s fun, funny, spicy, with lots of love, caring, attentiveness, swoony moments, and REAL characters facing real life situations and repercussions. This book literally couldn’t be rated anything but 5 stars.

Kira, Theo’s daughter, lost her mother and is now attending this school just for this special program. The author writes Kira exactly how any other teenage girl would be. Shy, yet sassy, with an attitude, and unsure of the world that surrounds her. Theo is still learning to navigate being a parent without another parent to lean on and he’s unsure at times. He knows Kira comes first, but he’s also learning how to put taking care of himself and what he wants into the equation. Mia is this wonderful character that cares SO much about others, even when she shouldn’t.

The tension between Theo and Mia was perfectly written. The banter, the choice of words, the scenes, to the looks, the touches, it was just so amazing. The spice was also well written and it felt well placed in the book. It wasn’t spice for the sake of spice. And when it wasn’t appropriate, it wasn’t there. The adults actually acted like adults!

There was discussion of grief and anxiety, how to work through those, seeing counselors, and helping someone through a panic attack. Those were not main aspects, but it was nice to read as someone who suffers from panic attacks.

When I saw this cover I thought it was about two high schoolers with a bad boy and a nerd. Then when I realized it was about a teacher and a student's father who can't stand each other when this was going to be worth reading. Mia is outspoken, she doesn't really care what others think of her unless it is with people that are important to her, a girl with a closed girl sexual appetite, a hard worker, a good teacher and she always puts everyone first. Theo is the typical grumpy man, lost with grief, hard to get along with, isn't much of a social butterfly, and a good father to his daughter Kira. I found it funny when Mia found out who Kira's father was. Theo was a big jerk when it came to complaining about being Kira's and talking about not being fit to be a teacher. Mia had her times where she was mean to Theo as well. Some of the fights were funny and others where they just needed to get over themselves and stop arguing about everything. There was tension in the air between them, and sexual aroma between both of them. They both kept trying to deny each other but sooner and later they finally broke. I like the fact that he fell first because I think that always makes a difference because most of the time it is always women. Ashley and her daughter Amber kept ticking me off half the time because they were ruining their happiness. Poor Kira was hurting from the bullying and shame that Amber was inflicting upon her. When everyone found out about their secret affair, it was horrible how it was revealed. I don't know how Mia and Theo were able to handle the rumors, the laughs, and the insults. I felt bad for Kira because she was hurt how she found and the students were picking on her for it. She was just getting better after grieving over her mom's death. I also think she should try to be happy for her father when he told her this was his first time falling in love like this. I was happy at the end where Kira said she was supporting them being together and cared about her father's happiness. I enjoyed this book. Thank you for the opportunity. I hope to read more.

Apparently I’m Trouble had me hooked from the very first page.

The enemies-to-lovers dynamic between Mia and Theo was chef’s kiss—so intense, so fiery, and so beautifully done. When they hated, they hated with everything they had. And when they loved? It was just as explosive. The push and pull between them was relentless, every interaction laced with years of unresolved tension and unspoken feelings.

Their history was woven into every argument, every heated stare, and every stolen moment, making their chemistry absolutely electric. The way they clashed made their eventual moments of passion even more satisfying, and let’s just say—the spice did not disappoint!

Beyond the romance, I absolutely adored Mia and Lilly’s friendship. Their banter was hilarious and genuine, but what I loved most was how fiercely they supported each other.

Working in a school setting where their jobs and reputations were constantly under scrutiny, they always had each other’s backs, whether it was handling difficult situations or making sure neither of them was unfairly blamed for things beyond their control. Their loyalty and protectiveness made their friendship feel so real and relatable, and it added another layer of heart to the story. It also made me wish I had read the first two books in the series to see more of Lilly and Shawn’s relationship—because they are just so cute together!

Another thing that stood out was the way the book handled themes of anxiety, panic attacks, and grief. Kira and Theo’s struggles with losing Tasha were gut-wrenching, and their guilt over finding happiness again was incredibly moving. Their journey felt raw and real, adding so much depth to the story beyond just the romance.

This was an absolutely fantastic ARC read, and now I have to go back and read the rest of the series. If you love angsty, passionate, and deeply emotional romance, this book is a must-read!

Apparently, I’m Trouble is a delightful enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy that effortlessly balances humor, tension, and heart. The story centers around Mia Walker, a headstrong and unapologetically blunt woman who’s dedicated to helping her students succeed in a scholarship program. She's fierce, driven, and totally committed to her work—until she finds herself constantly thrown into the path of Theo Hudson, a grumpy, single father who thinks Mia is nothing but trouble.
Theo is skeptical of Mia’s methods, and their initial interactions are filled with friction and witty banter. As they continue to work together to support his daughter, their rivalry slowly turns into a simmering attraction.
The tension between the two builds in a way that feels both natural and steamy, making for an addictive read.
The dynamic between Mia and Theo is a highlight of the book. Mia is strong, sassy, and unapologetic about who she is, while Theo is more reserved, protective, and initially resistant to their growing connection.
Their interactions are filled with sarcasm, passion, and just the right amount of vulnerability. The back-and-forth between them keeps the plot engaging, with readers rooting for both characters to break down their walls and give in to their feelings.
The characters’ personal growth and the way they open up to each other add depth to the romance, making it more than just a light-hearted enemies-to-lovers tale.
The stakes are high for Mia as she’s trying to help her best friend, but the emotional payoff in the relationship between Mia and Theo is well worth the ride.

Demi Blaize crafts a story that’s fun and fiery but also emotionally rich. The blend of humor, steamy moments, and heartfelt connections makes this book a page-turner for anyone who loves romantic comedies with a little spice.

If you’re a fan of spicy, fun romance with a touch of humor, Apparently, I’m Trouble is a must-read.

🙈 Something I disliked: the beginning is so confusing
🧠 Triggers: mentions of anxiety, panic attacks, mentions of parent death, terminal illness, bullying
🛍️ Available: Now!

💬 So I had a lot of thoughts about this book, but I think it can be summed up with you really need to read the first two books before you read this one. Sometimes there are books that work well as a standalone later in the series but this one did not IMO.

For the first probably 20% of the book I felt pretty lost, and that's on me for not checking where this was in the series before I accepted the ARC.

Because of that it was confusing, and never really fully pulled me into the story. I did like the idea behind the story though and thank God for Rochelle, she was an excellent character- especially towards the end. I also thought the tension and angst between Theo and Mia was really well done and it was nice to see older MCs.

I have a lot of opinions on the third act drama, because I've sorta been through some of that and even though I understand I still don't think they should have reacted the way they did so it was just a little too unrealistic for me. That's the best spoiler free way that I can say it 🤣 sorry it's so vague haha.

I think if I had read the previous two books this would have been a 4⭐ read for me but as it stands this is maybe a 3.5 because of that. I do think that the series is worth reading though so I do recommend it and this book..

Thank you, Demi, for letting me read this ahead of the release date.

Mia Walker is a fiery unfiltered sarcastic teacher who loves her best friend and boss and will do anything to make sure Lily keeps her promotion and her students earn top spots to keep the school in good ranking.

Theo Hudson is a grumpy chiropractor who just moved him and his daughter to the South Bronx so Kira can fulfill her mother’s dream even though she’s no longer with them. While he would do anything for his daughter, he didn’t have the best first impression with Mia months before and when he finds out she’s his daughter’s teacher, he flips out. She proves to be a great and engaging teacher and he can’t seem to stay away.

There was so much heart, chaos, banter, and angst written into these characters and it’s great! It was such an easy read that I didn’t really put it down unless I had to work or you know - life. Demi was able to pull so many emotions from me that ranged from Kira’s perspective to the complicated sht-storm that was the mess between Theo and Mia and it was GREAT!

Overall, I’d recommend this book if you like to read a sweet, spicy and fun banter enemies to lovers single dad x teacher romance.

Tropes:
❤️Enemies to Lovers
📚Grumpy single dad
❤️Daughter’s teacher
📚Dual first person perspective
❤️High stakes situation
📚Slow burn and Angsty
❤️Open door spice
📚She tries to stay away but the Universe is involved
❤️Forced proximity
📚He sings when drunk
❤️Boozy bingo!

Apparently I loved this haha. I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers story.
Mia is Lilly's (From previous book) friend & work colleague. So she is quite fiery, says things out aloud and doesn't shy away from her opinions. I liked that about her character, their is zero shame in talking about uncomfortable things. (you will see what I mean when you read it).
Theo is a single dad an has just moved to New York for his daughter Kira. Her mother's last wish was for her to complete a prestigious course before college.
Mia & Theo have a run in during a fundraiser and their bickering starts from there. Never thought they would see each other again until she turns up as Kira's teacher.
Oh gosh, Theo isn't happy and he let's the head and Mia know. The universe really was playing a game with them as they have had constant run in at different places. Despite the enemy factor these two are so attracted to the other. It was quite funny watching them to interact haha.
Nothing can happen though, Mia's classes outcome is important for Lilly's job as a head. So no fraternizing with parents. Also Kira is a mystery to Mia.
When things get heated, everything falls apart.
I was quite disappointed with Kira's reaction as there is a 3rd act break up for a while. I understand she is going through grief but I felt she was a bit selfish herself.
TW as this does discuss about loss and grief. I did love seeing how Mia helped Kira manage her grief and panic attacks.
This was sweet, funny, witty, dramatic and spicy. My favourite scene probably was at Theos practice ❤️‍🔥. Now you must read for that.
I am super intrigued by Rochelle's story.

My first book of Demi's and I loved it. Even though it is the third in the Apparently, We're the Problem series, I read it as a standalone and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am now going back to read books 1 and 2 because I loved the characters so much!

This is a sweet book with tropes including: single dad, kind-of-enemies to lovers, slow burn to inferno, forbidden romance, and opposites attract.

Mia Walker is a private school teacher tasked with filling 5 coveted spots in an advance placement class so that her BFF Lilly can keep her job as her boss. Theo Hudson is the grumpy single dad chiropractor whose daughter Kira is in Mia's AP class. Mia and Theo keep bumping into each other all around NYC, and Mia is convinced the universe is trying to send a message. But being with Theo has dangers - crossing a professional line that she's not sure is worth the risk of losing her job, as well as risking Lilly's as well.

I am a sucker for slow burn so I was all over this book like dog hair on yoga pants. Mia's character is fierce and fiesty and strong, but she wants someone to look after her. Theo is grieving and trying to help his daughter find her bearings in a new city and school, and doesn't recognize the signs and love when they smack him upside the head.

Absolutely loved this book. Much appreciation to the author and Grey's Promotions for gifting me with an advance copy. My rating, review and recommendation are genuinely from the heart.

Thank you so much Demi for letting me ARC read this wonderful book I had the best time ever ❤️

There is not a single negative thing for me to say about this read I enjoy every second of it; the tension, the tropes, the characters all of it was perfect and I truly never wanted it to end. The way the connection between Mia and Theo was so fun to read they had the best combination of personalities for the enemies-to-lovers trope Theo was so protective with huge doberman energy which made him even more attractive to me, there’s nothing I love more than broody man with a secret soft side 🤭 Then as soon as you mixed his personality with Mia’s loyalty it made the perfect balance of tension and undeniable attraction!

While I was absolutely obsessed with Theo and Mia’s connection my favourite dynamic in this read had to be Lily and Mia they were the purest form of friendship ever, the way that Mia looks after Lily even when everything goes south is genuinely the cutest thing I have ever seen, these two are not just best friends they are sisters and no one can convince me otherwise! 🥹Overall, I am still obsessed with this book and I need a man like Theo; hot, obsessed and willing to defend me like I’m the most important thing in the world. Mia girl you are so lucky to have him and I am envious of you 🫠 I cannot wait to read the rest of this series because I am officially in LOVE with Demi’s writing and I cannot wait to read more!

↳ There wasn't actually a lot of spice in the book, however there was a lot of unwarranted and mildly uncomfortable sexual tension, so interpret that as you will.

╰┈➤ I unfortunately was not a fan of DB's writing style. The entire story was full of clichés and contradictions. I wasn't a fan of how abrasive Mia was just for the sake of saying odd-ball things, and found myself wanting to DNF at 20% in.
╰┈➤ The characters fell extremely flat, and honestly I found Theo exceedingly misogynistic and problematic and could not find the appeal for him. One of his first interactions with Mia he very much sexually assaulted her (regardless if she later decided she was attracted to him, she still stated HE made HER touch him, and he did not KNOW that she was attracted to him) so that made me feel uneasy.
╰┈➤ I could not stand Mia. I don't understand why she was English, as it added nothing to the plot. Her only hint of being English was her saying the most cliché "bloody/bloody hell," which left me cringing evert time. Her constantly being referred to as tiny and so so small FMC, it's such a cliché especially compared to the over six foot stocky MMC. Like I said, I don't mind a FMC who speaks her mind, who says unhinged things, but Mia was inappropriate just for the sake of being inappropriate. Also, her calling children "love" is weird...not to mention her not wearing underwear at school is also exceptionally weird.
╰┈➤ I did not read the first 2 books, but didn't feel like I was missing anything (plot wise). I don't see how people thought Mia and Theo had good banter, I felt like they had nothing in common with each other whatsoever. Not to mention, yes maybe they were "enemies" though once again - fully just Theo being a problematic red flag of a man - but all they had was physical attraction, nothing more.
╰┈➤ This isn't pertaining to the story, but is the cover art stolen or AI? I was looking at some of the promotional art given and the edges are blurry, or some of the original background is still seen. Not sure exactly, but I know *something* is off.

❤️‍🔥 Romance
❤️‍🔥 Single dad
❤️‍🔥 Enemies-to-lovers

This was probably one of my hardest reads to get through and I don’t know why ☹️

It was so hard to keep my attention the whole time that I needed 8 days to get through it. I honestly thought I wouldn’t be able to finish it by the end of the month at the rate I was going 😬 Towards the end, I stopped highlighting and just sped through it.

Although I've read books as long or even longer than this one, I still found the number of chapters off-putting at first. Even when I realized that most chapters were just 1-3 pages long, it still felt tiring to get through that many chapters. It's probably because of how busy I've been nowadays that I dreaded having to read a 55-chapter book.

The premise of the story itself was interesting enough to make me want to sign up for this, but the story didn’t develop as well as I would’ve wanted. I think the plot was okay, but I don’t think it was enaging enough to keep my attention for too long - at most, I would only read 5 chapters and then I’d get bored. I also think the pacing was a bit inconsistent - there were times that the plot felt dragging and the spicy chapters were longer than the others. Moreover, I didn’t feel any connection or relatability with the characters, so I was detached for the entirety of the story.

Still, it was objectively a good read, just not something I would see myself picking up again.

Thank you to the author and PR agency for allowing me to share my honest review of this ARC 💜

This had me hooked from the very first page.

First, I would like to thank Luna Literary Management alongside with the amazing, Demi Blaize for the opportunity on this ARC. I was so excited just based on some of the tropes! And I could not pass the opportunity. Some of the tropes / micro tropes include:
💚Grumpy Single Dad
💚 True Enemies-to-Lovers
💚Daughter's tacher
💚 Slow Burn Romance * which has become a fav of mine *
💚 Office Romance
💚Mental Health Rep
💚Grief
💚Loss of a Parent
💚Bullying
This is a series, but can be read as stand alones. And this is book three, but the first one I've read :)
- This story follows Mia, a tacher and Theo - a grumpy single Dad who does not play about his daughter Kira. So, when he finds out that Mia is her teacher? Theo's furious and tries everything in his willpower to change that, but is unsuccessful. Within the course of this, both Mia and Theo find themseleves attracted to one another knowing they should not be. When I think of my perfect rom-com movie, AIT would be my ideal IT girl. This book has all the swoon, not only that- but I love that while it was a rom-com there was representation of mental health and the importance of having a great support system, especially when facing as many difficulties as Theo's daughter Kira.
small spoilers: I 💚 the bond that grew with Mia & Kira.
This was an absoulte delight of a read, so fluffy and cozy whilst covering importante and sometimes the challenges life can throw at you.
Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟.25/5 (4.25/5)

Rating: Liked it/Loved it (rounded up)

Okay, I read book 1 and had some issues with the FMC and it was friends to lovers (not my favorite), but overall liked the book enough. I skipped book 2 since it happened to come out at a time when I wasn't in the mood (curse being a mood reader), and then this was announced and it was enemies to lovers (my favorite) so I figured I'd give the series another shot.

I'm glad I did. This one was so much better than the first I read. This is a teacher (FMC) and single dad and the two of them honest to goodness loath each other yet keep finding themselves at the same place at the same time. Their unfortunate meet cute left a bad taste in both of their mouths. Theo thought Mia was hot and vice versa, but that horrendous meet cute crossed them into enemies.

All the stress and family issues Theo is going through with his daughter and their recent move, really made me feel for him. His situation is hard and he's trying his damnest to just be a good dad and take care of his daughter. Mia is the kind of teacher we need more of. She pays attention, she talks to the kids and she truly cares. Both of them realize they want what's best for Kira and the frost starts to thaw.

Even though it's enemies to lovers, I feel like it's kinda just instalust. They both are very attracted to each other from the get go and have...moments that drive them both crazy with want. It's a weird dynamic. They still hate each other, but they keep getting into these situations where things...happen. Maybe it's the writing, maybe it was the story, maybe it was just me.

Thank you, Demi and Grey's Promotions for the ARC.
