Aubrey Hawke knows how to write stories that pull you in from the beginning and then keep you in a choke hold till you finish! This was the first book I have read that really dives into dom/sub relationships. I honestly learned a lot of things. The story is beautifully written and handles delicate topics very well. You can’t help but fall in love with Brody, Nia and Katie-cat.
Brody had a childhood filled with a lot of wrongs and some sadness. He is now 38 and a divorce attorney. Nia hires him to handle her divorce after finding out her husband has been cheating on her and is in love with the other woman. As the story unfolds, you see Nia become a strong independent woman in a way that is unique. Brody learns to let down the wall and remove the snipers so that someone can be close to him. Together they help each other grow and show unyielding support.
We are also given glimpses into the other Montgomery children and I cannot wait to read their stories!

I LOVE all of Aubrey’s books, this one is my favorite so far & I have read all of her books. This book shines a positive light on dom/sub relationships, and bdsm.
I love Brody and Nia so so so much. Especially Brody though.
Brody even brings her ibuprofen when it’s that time of the month, just to be nice.
Nia is going through a divorce, after finding her husband cheating on her. She takes her daughter and moves out, and files for divorce.
Brody is a family/divorce attorney. He is the outcast and black sheep of his family. When Nia hires him, he is captivated by her from the start, even when he won’t admit it. He knows it can and will only be professional.
One night, Nia decides to go to a club. The same club she found out her ex had previously gone too. Not only did she not know clubs like this existed, she definitely did not expect to find her attorney there.
Brody keeps his personal life and business life separate. But, when Nia asks him to “teach her”, he agrees - but tells her, there will no touching, no sleeping together and he will not be her dom.
The more he teaches her the more he questions if he can follow his own rules.
He knows it’s wrong, he shouldn’t be with his client. He shouldn’t even want her.

After her husband threatens to take their daughter away from her due to the state of her parents home she hires our Dom, caring, powerful divorce attorney Brody!!
Brody is our powerful hot shot family law attorney who does anything for his clients! After a night 4 years ago where he accidentally crossed a line with his wife in their dorm sub relationship he's not had sex or scened with anyone, when Nia runs into him at a sex club with a woman at his feet, she approaches him at his office to teach her about kink so she can learn what it feels like to submit.
When I tell you their love story was everything I just, I want it to go on forever! Brody and Katie have the sweetest most pure bond, he never thought of himself as wanting kids but as the story goes on that's his girl!!

i went into this book not really knowing what to expect. it was recommended to me in one my bookish facebook groups and from what i was asking for, it sounded like the best one in the comments. the author herself actually is the one who recommended it. well i am here to tell you, it blew my expectations out of the water. i loved every part of this book and the characters. brody has been immediately added to my list of book boyfriends. the way he’s so controlling and demanding in the bedroom then can flip a switch so easily and be the most loving, caring guy ever. as it should be!! isla and the club? chefs kiss hands down. that girl knows what she’s doing. even the family dynamics were so compelling to read. you have nia’s loving parents to brody’s unsupportive bible thumping parents. the way they hardly care about him at all is insane. literally all because he’s a divorce lawyer!!!
there’s so many things i could say about this book but all in all, it was 100% the book i needed. nia’s interest in getting involved in the club and the perfect person to guide her and show her everything there is to offer. i loved this and can’t wait to read more from this author :)

What happens when one of your go to authors seriously ups their writing game and creates the best MMC you’ve read about in a long time? This book, that’s what. When I told Aubrey this is my favourite book from her to date I was not skirting around the truth in the slightest.
Her writing style perfectly lends itself to tell Nia and Brody’s story in the most delicious way possible. The relationship they build together, and as a family, with Nia’s daughter Katie is beautiful. I hated the antagonists in this book with a passion!! But that just goes to show that the way the story was told did its job to a T, I loathed them entirely and can’t wait until they get theirs.
If there is one part of this book that is bound to do it for you on the spice front, it’s that bloody shower scene. I was sweating like a nun in a brothel 🥵

The way this story actually told the story of getting to where they got to was so entertaining. I didn’t want to put the book down! My heart was racing to see where it would go next.
Bravo for the lessons on Dom/Sub relationships. I’m insanely impressed on the accuracy and debunking internet and movie myths!!! Incredible!
Aubrey Hawke never disappoints and has an incredible talent when it comes to sharing stories with such unique characters that make you want to join them for brunch (or play time 🤪). I’m convinced she made a deal with a muse on a long coffee bender! You’ll love this one!!

This book like every other Aubrey Hawke book is amazing! It had a solid story line that keeps you intrigued the whole book, characters that not only evolve but grow together, a romance that warms the heart, and spice that makes you need more batteries! 🥵 Recommended to anyone that likes spicy reads with grumpy protective men and women who learn to stand on their feet after heartbreak!
This book covers rough topics so well and introduces you to the world of dom/sub in a way that helps you really learn how it works and what the Internet/books/movies get wrong.

I waited long and impatiently for this book and it was everything I was hoping for. I loved this book so much. I have so much love for Brody, what a wonderful man. And I have so much respect for Nia! The way she deals with life and what it throws at her is beyond amazing. Their love was so sweet and so strong. I really loved that there was no third act break-up. And the spice was so damn hot 🔥
Aubrey Hawke is a fantastic writer, her writing style is so nice, it really feels like you’re living the story and you really know the characters. The pace was perfect, I couldn’t stop reading. I love her books so much! Can’t wait for her next one!

I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I chose this book out of my TBR jar - this was a suggested book from a friend… but man, I’m I happy I read it! It was so NOT what I expected. Brody Montgomery is chef’s kiss, we all need one.
This book is about Nia Hart (Cavanaugh), a trauma nurse, who has to find herself and get a new prospective on life after her cheating husband has been found out. Brody happens to become her divorce lawyer, and SO much more…
This book is so well written and had me literally crying, screaming and laughing out loud. I can’t wait until Forsaken Son, book 2 in this interconnected standalone series. Aubrey Hawke, you have a new fan.

Giving Sara Cate's: The Goode Brothers mixed with Salacious Players' Club Vibes and im all for it.
Walking in on your husband in a compromising position with a dominatrics you freak out. As you are very vanilla and this was unknown to you. You instantly want a divorce and while looking into a divorce you see the life your husband had as this wasnt just a one time thing.
You dont understand it, and you want someone to comfort you in comes your divorce lawyer who comes from a very religious background who has a very wicked side.
Im all for it YES Sir!!

After waiting not so patiently for the stories of the other Montgomery siblings to unfold following Nash's book, Wicked Son did not disappoint! I was hooked from the beginning and it really kept me guessing on how Brody and Nia would finally progress their relationship from attorney and client. The tension was 👌 and when that spice hits, it really hits, quite literally 😂
Despite some intense themes, such as the mention of childhood cancer, this story didn't feel as angsty or as heavy as some of Aubrey's previous books (I'm looking at you Emmett 👀) and I really enjoyed this being a little lighter.
Highly recommend and cannot wait for the rest of this series!

Aubrey never fails to bring the drama. Her books are like a rollercoaster of emotions, and this one was no exception. You get romance, desire, hatred/disgust, sadness, tension, and happiness all mixed into a crazy-good read.
Brody and Nia's story had me super curious. They're like oil and water in the beginning, so I was dying to see how they'd finally get together. It was a wild ride, but man was it worth it. This was sizzling hot!

Personally, I think the story line was really good! But I feel like some parts were over explained and some parts left me wanting more. I think the spice and the intro into the BDSM world was really good. I loved the safety aspect that was really emphasized throughout!

Loved this book! I really hope to see more from tripp in the second and I would have liked to hear what happened to the older brother. But never have I wanted to jump into a novel and knock out characters so badly . I hope graham sees his parents for what they are as well.

I sincerely loved this book !! Most definitely recommend!! I love the story line. I can say it’s definitely a page turner I couldn’t put the book down!! Brody keeps you on your toes!! Not to mention the smut but it was hot and spicy just like I like!!
