Two Guys, a Girl, and a Tripod: For the Love of Corn Series, #1

Rate this book
She built a new life. She opened herself to love. But can she outrun an abusive ex who refuses to let her go?

After fleeing an abusive relationship, Sophie Larson has built a name for herself in the world of amateur porn. At the urging of her roommate, she decides to open herself up to love, meeting two men who intrigue and excite her. But when it appears her ex has found her, she has to question if she’ll ever be free.

If Brody Torrence had been a betting man, he’d have put money on remaining a recluse for the rest of his life. Meeting Sophie through a dating app and learning of her interesting career has him rethinking that gamble. When chilling secrets from Sophie’s past threaten their happiness, he decides to put his computer nerd skills to work.

It’s so not professional to fall for a collab, but Miles Corning is doing just that. Upon discovering that his roommate and best friend is dating the same girl, Miles has to decide whether to go all-in to win the heart of this stunning temptress mixed with wholesome girl-next-door.

Love and obsession collide in this lighthearted romance with a bit of a dark side. Can Sophie escape her past or will the mistakes she made in Oklahoma ruin her chance at happiness forever?

This was such a fun read!
The story is engaging, well paced, and clever.
It is set in the adult entertainment industry, so I was expecting a lot of sexual description, which there was. What I did not expect was how masterly the author managed to separate the "work sex" from the relationship sex in her description. The work sex was well written but described in a calm, almost detached way, where when there were emotional connections, she added a magical closeness.
The characters are fully fleshed out, lively, funny, and loveable.

came across this book bc of an excerpt, or tiny paragraph rather, that the author posted on tiktok and boy did it NOT DISAPPOINT!

i’m a sucker for a good reverse harem (if you can call this that) where the woman is pampered beyond belief and loved unconditionally. kinda sucked that she was straight (jk jk) but i’m soooo glad she got 2 boyfriends and her boyfriends became boyfriends. LOVE THAT.

absolutely how everything was written. it started a little slow bc obviously you gotta build a little plot but other than that it’s a 5/5 from me. as long as i enjoy the story (and smut lol) i’ll always give a book a 4 or 5 out of 5.

i loved brody and miles for sophie. im glad she was able to find love after everything she’s been through.

can’t wait to read the next book!! (whenever that releases)

OKAY - I actually loved this book. Like devoured it.
Two Guys, a Girl and a Tripod gave a really fun, sexy, and sometimes heart-stopping look into the life of a s-worker. Like I know it's fiction, but this is the kind of content we need to erase the negative stigma on the industry - and remember to celebrate the empowerment of the women who rule it.

I loved Sophie/Honey. Her spunk and tenacity after leaving an abusive relationship; her desire to do a job she loves; her willingness (even hesitantly) to open her heart up again. Her character development throughout really shined.

Sweet, sweet Brody. Everybody's favorite little nerd is actually the world's sweetest and sexiest dom? Hell yeah. This is exactly the kind of character I need in my dreams....

And Miles. Lovely, sexy Miles. This type of positive masculinity is a dream - especially as a depiction of a male in this industry. The love for his best friend, the passion for his career, and his new found interest in a super sexy partner burns a new fire in his heart and it was captivating.

This was a lovely, smutty romance that I will highly recommend to anyone who will listen!

This took me so long to get through. I was really interested in the premise and happy when I won it on a Goodreads giveaway, but a lot of the book seemed like it was done for shock value and did not add a whole lot to the story. I have read why choose books in the past and have liked them, but some aspects of this story felt forced and rushed. I did enjoy the main characters, and would be interested in reading the next book in the series.
