Second book in the series.
This one follows the story of Reed the true heir to the Russo Mafia, a girl arrives in his house who seems familiar. He seduces her, then collars her and ‘trains’ her to only want him. Without giving too much away, he ends up with his brother, Carlos the existing don, in their guest house awaiting the Rivera don and the sister of the Carlos, revenge is sweet.
This was a really quick read more to wrap up the first book, however, this one was about 80% spice before we finally got justice. So, if you like a quick read of a mafia story with lots of spice this is for you.

As with Wicked Lies, Wicked Secrets is full of spice and of course with any Mafia Romance, there is plenty of dark gory goings on, so please read the trigger warnings prior to reading this book.
This story follows on from the events of Wicked Lies, where we get to meet Reed, who has now been living in Italy for the past 10 years, and is still Second in Command to Carlos who is the Don of the Russo Mafia.
Reed is pretty messed up when we first meet him, so when Maghan appears on the scene, he treats her unfairly and becomes quite rough with her and boy she certainly goes through it with him, but although he is as he is, she still can't get enough of him, and he soon begins to soften ever so slightly.
Then Reed realises who Maghan actually is and discovers the secrets of their past that have been kept from the both of them by Carlos, so he then sets in motion a revenge plan to destroy Carlos, in order that Reed will protect Maghan in order to keep her safe, because now she is 'his'.
This is only my second time with a Mafia Romance, and although slightly uncomfortable at times, it didn't make me want to stop and put it down, because I just wanted to know what was going to happen to Carlos, and boy does he get it.
Well worth the read.

10 years ago Reed buried his sister and was ordered to Italy to run things there for his Boss. But Reed discovered the girl he believed to be his sister was actually adopted. Maghan was told her brother was dead and was sold to another man. Now, Maghan has managed to slip into a shipping container to hopefully leave the state- she wasn’t expecting to end up in Italy. She finds herself in the house of Reed, hired to provide him whatever services he requires. They can’t get enough of each other but when Wicked Secrets are revealed how will they both react? And will the cause of all their pain finally faces the consequences?
Love love loved this book!! Reed and Maghan had chemistry from the start! I loved the closure we got after the first book and an appearance from familiar faces just made it even more perfect. Also, turning a spare bedroom into a library just so your girl doesn’t get bored when you’re working? Where can I find a man like that please?!

Opens with him doing coke and hiring an escort. He sends her away because he’s not interested, but he is watches her for about 2 mins. My first thought is not a strong start, but you can tell he’s miserable.
His sister Maghan died when she was 13 under suspicious terms. We get her POV in chapter 2 and Carlos has been up to his sketchiness again.
Maghan runs away in a storage container and runs out as soon as it opens. She ends up at Reed’s house. He is told she’s his evening’s entertainment so he’s still whoring around. Strike 2 and also how convenient.

This was such a good ending to the world we are introduced to in Wicked Lies. This book focuses on Reed, who we are introduced to in book 1, and Meghan. Reed has just let his grief overtake his life but it doesn’t stop his humanity from showing. He’s a fantastic morally grey book boyfriend. Then we have Meghan, she’s been through so much due to Carlos’s machinations but she hasn’t let it bring her down. Their whirlwind relationship between Reed and Meghan is just so sweet and very spicy. I can’t wait to read more from this author!

What a way to kick off 2025 with this 2nd book of a mafia duet!
I loved book 1, but book 2 🥵 Mr Reed? yes, please! I couldn't put the book down, I loved the characters, the banter, the graphic scene, and of course the spice!!
This author has a way of making me feel like I'm in the book watching everything unfold. I love it when that happens! I'm 100% committed to becoming a stalker of this author, and I can't wait to see what else she writes about.

I loved this book! The complicated pasts of Maghan and Reed make this one a winner for me,
The tying up of loose ends from book one was very satisfying. Pun very much intended.
I loved that the good guys were bad and, and the bad guys were truly awful! I've not hated a bad book guy (Carlos) that much for a long time.

This is book 2 for this series and the time for us to find/meet Reed!
This is a short read and I didn't quite take to it as much as I did for book 1 but it definitely didn't have as much storyline but it is full of steamy scenes!
Don't want to give anything anyway but let's just say i was so happy with the Carlos outcome!! 😉

@authorserobin completed her duet of dark mafia romances! Reed is a book bf everyone would love to have. Dark, sexy and willing to kill for you but also not always morally grey! Meghan is a sweetheart who deserves all those nice things Reed does.

short and quick
interesting characters
could open up a whole interconnected series.
one major issue is the inconsistency between the two books. book 1 is based 15 years after the 'funeral' book 2 is based 10 years except its the same timeline also in terms of who is contacting who between sal caitlin and sawyer
