I was definitely both of those things. With my mental health in a complete disarray since I was a child, there was nothing else I could be.
Yet there she was. The perfect image of Holy.
And I wanted her.
To taint her.
To use her.
To ruin her.
To love her.
Nothing would ever compare to her.
But under all that perfect exterior were secrets begging to be set free.
And I was going to bring everyone down around me.

I am a wife, mother, child chauffeur and author. I love being able to create different characters and spin a web that makes them come together in the end. My books do not stick to just one genre, they span many.

I write about things that are real life situations and fairy tales are not always smooth sailing. My MC books are hard and gritty and they have struggles just like you would in life.

I also have books that are not so in your face. There are several that are good love stories that are fraught with issues that the characters have to deal with.

He has been seeing a psychologist since he was three years old ….. and they still don’t know how to categorize Tristan

She Never Ceases To Amaze Me

Wow, wow, and wow!! I cannot believe what I read from this author sometimes and about the time you think you have everything figured out…Bam!! To say that Ms. Trejo knows how to write about messed up people is putting it mildly.

Tristan and Ash couldn’t be more different but its how they navigate things that make this a big page turner. When you think everything is flowing right along, this author’s ending just plain slapped me right upside the head!!!

There are so many words to describe this story! Let’s start with intriguing, suspenseful, edge of your seat, page turner. Tristan has some mental issues and has been working with the same therapist for years. He knows he has issues but he accepts them and dare I say reveals in them. He has a “Give No F’s attitude. Along comes Ash, his soon to be stepsister. She is very religious and her life has had a very shielded life. Tristan sees a chance to corrupt her and realizes he truly can care about someone. The ending will BLOW your mind!

I was on edge the whole time waiting for Tristan to do something he couldn’t come back from. His love for his little nun takes him by surprise, he didn’t think he was capable of loving any one but his mum and even then it’s something he knows not feels, Ash gets under his skin and the obsession he has turns to love .
I found myself trying to diagnose his mental illness, I’d punt for BPD with emotional dysfunction and very possibly ADHD.
The ending though …. Phew!!!!! Emosh and tissues needed

WOW, just WOW…. That was INCREDIBLE and that ending?!?! PERFECTION!! I love how Erin writes some of the most F’ed up stuff with a dash or two of comedy. Tristan may be messed up in the head but it’s not all bad, it just took Ash to prove that. IMO the two jerks got off easy lol 🖤🔥🪽🔥🖤

The character building was okay, but the story itself was so quick and jumpy, it seemed like the book all happened in a few weeks. Characters were good, can't quite tell if Tristan is a literal walking red flag (his anger issues put me off). Very nearly DNF-ed the book but it was so short, I figured I would just carry on.

Ok, Erin.... u got me on this at first... which i love. As one of your reviewer... at first, i totally thought cult book.. yes, but then... this story became very dark, very quickly...i loved Tristain, i know some probably wouldn't, but i loved how u made this character have some type of unique... personality in the mental health world.. one that was hard to define, but one that his theropist... never gave up on... i loved that... then he found Ash and my gosh... the story just gets deep!!! Erin, i couldn't wait for this book... and it was beyond one of your best, and i know i say that a lot!!!!!!!! But, girl u can write!

Erin you have totally undone me with this one. This book is just so, I don’t have the words to give it the justice it needs.
This book is one huge dark read with such an emotional rollercoaster ride of ups and downs, highs and lows, crying, wanting to scream and throw stuff.
This story will NOT be a disappointment to read.

I will start of by saying this book will take u on a ride. Tristan and the way his mind works is a work of art and had me devouring this book. Tristan meets Ash for the first time and becomes obsessed with her, and as it turns out her with him also. They are a unlikely pair for sure, but have so much chemistry, it could turn the pages steamy, well done Erin Trejo, I absolutely loved this book!!!

Well that was interesting! Tristen is mentally unstable at best. Meeting his soon to be stepsister, Ash, spurs the devil inside himself into overdrive. He wants to corrupt her to the core. Ash knows nothing really outside of the church so when Tristen immediately starts baiting her she’s flabbergasted but intrigued. An emotional rollercoaster!

This was a short book and it was fine I guess? It wasn’t really anything special and I probably won’t read or think of this book again after today.

There is a decent amount of spice, the characters were nothing special really and you don’t really root for or against them since you never really get invested in them.

Que difícil fue leer este libro😩, la historia inicia bien, dando un poco de contexto de Tristan y que pasa con él, pero después de ahí todo va en caida

Cuando conoce a Ash (La protagonista), dice que es una chica muy x, sin relevancia que jamás se fijaría en ella, y al segundo siguiente dice que esta obsesionado con ella, quede loca con eso.

Y toda la historia es así, sin contexto, se tratan demasiados temas en menos de dos capítulos, y la narración es confusa, no se describe muy bien las escenas que pasan y tienes que seguir el ritmo porque cuando sigues leyendo ves que ya la autora pasó a otro tema (sentí la narración desorganizada).

Otro tema es las escenas de s*x* y el vocabulario, las escenas spicy no digo que estén mal, pero el lenguaje que se usaba nose... Tuve que saltarme las últimas escenas, simplemente no pude.
Y por otro lado, Tristan en cada conversación con cada personaje del libro tenía que meter vocabulario de sexo, y decirle a todo el mundo lo que hacía con Ash (es algo privado y no creo que a tu mamá le interese saber que haces en la intimidad, por poner un ejemplo), en fin

Lo termine porque, bueno no es una historia tan larga y de verdad tenía potencial, pero la escritura no fue para mi y la sufrí mucho.

This is my second Erin Trejo book and man does she hook me in with these story lines and characters. This book was an absolute roller coaster. This story is dark with religious aspects to it. Tristan is absolutely unhinged. He meets his soon to be step sister, Ash, and instantly becomes obsessed with her. She has a boyfriend, one that's just as religious as her father so he's father approved. But Ash becomes intrigued with the rebel that Tristan is and wants to experience life the way he does. But after Tristan finds out that her father "punishes" her every time she steps out of line and doesn't want anyone to touch her, he becomes feral for her. Ash is skeptical of Tristan at first, but soon finds herself just as obsessed with him. I did not expect that ending!! There were twists that I never saw coming! I definitely recommend giving this a read, but definitely check your triggers first.

BE PREPARED!!
I JUST FINISHED AND OMGGGGG THE EMOTIONS!!!!!!!! MAKE SURE TO READ THE EPILOGUE!!
I didn't have any idea what I was in store for when starting this because I did zero research on it and didn't read any of the triggers.. its a very small standalone, only 156 pages.. but omg, it's grabbed my attention from the very first page. And I finished it in a matter of 3 hours.
Definitely gives the "stepbrother this is wrong" vibes. And it makes you feel dirty and "unholy". But I couldn't seem to put the book down. I felt so bad for Tristan but loved his character so much at the end!! He really just needed someone other than his mom to believe in him and actually LOVE him!!
The ONLY reason I didn't give a full 5 stars, is because some of the pages, you can tell it was rushed when typed and some lines don't quite make sense.. You kinda gotta put what she meant to say together yourself. That's literally the only reason. Other than that, I loved this book.

Nobody writes dark and pushes boundaries quite like Erin, right or wrong her characters can be cruel but loving, mad but sane all at the same time, crazy but it works in her books. The pull of what appears to be the bad guy against disinterest of the good guy, can you trust what should be? Ash is raised to be religious, strictly. Honestly a lot of what I hear about that doesn't mean good, kind or anything you should expect, personally I'd give it a miss and though fiction this story does make my point. And the climax was "What just happened ?" Read it to find out. Fabulous.

What a read this was, loved Ash and Tristan. Is he misunderstood or is he really that dark human with no feelings? No two ppl could be more opposite than these two. He likes everything dark, his thoughts, emotions and his attitude. She is all happy, light and believes all things Jesus that has been drilled into her. They shouldn't make a good couple, especially cause that's his new step sister. Except her and her love is probably the only thing that can ‘cure’ him and he is the only one that can set her free. What a great dark read this was!

An intriguing, suspenseful, edgy story that will consume you from beginning to end. I was completely taken by this book. I went in blind not knowing what I was going to be getting into but it did not disappoint. This author's ability to take and write a story especially one like this never ceases to amaze me. The writing is flawless. The story flows nicely, progresses with ease and the characters are developed well. A definite page turner. It takes the cake for me with an ending that surprised me. This is a must read.

What a ride!

This was one of the best ones I’ve read in a while. I definitely need to find more from Erin Trejo. BTW, I love you for the bonus ❤️ If you’re debating reading this, don’t think about it. Just read it.

Tristian has mental health issues and in comes his new stepsister to throw his whole life even more off balance. “Little Nun” grew up with a super religious father and Tristian turns her world upside down as well. What happens when worlds collide? The most beautiful impact!

I really think this author was trying to do me in with Unholy! I swear this book is one huge emotional rollercoaster. This is the perfect bad boy/good girl story and Ash took to Tristans crazy like bees to honey. The Little Nun takes a ride on the dark side and what a ride it is. Tristan and Ash's story doesn't disappoint. The ending, just be prepared! This author always has a way of stealing her readers breath with her endings. Unholy is utterly explosive and an absolute must read!

I loved Tristan and Ash’s dynamic! Tristan’s struggle with his dark past and his transformation when faced with Ash’s steadfast faith and unique upbringing made for a compelling read. Their relationship defies expectations and challenges boundaries, making this story hard to put down. The twists, especially towards the end, were unforgettable and sad —those who have read Crow will know.

The epilogue was the perfect touch to tie everything together. Highly recommend

Loved Tristan and Ash. They are both wonderful, but very crazy characters.

I don't know how Erin Trejo does it. She can go from a very straight forward book about MC guys and their significant others to a very twisted book about a guy who is looney as the day is long and a girl that has been under a very religious family all her life. Erin Trejo is a stupendous writer and I haven't found anything I haven't enjoyed written by her. Please keep your words coming Ms Trejo, I love your work.

This was so so toxic, but it was amazing. Ash is religious and Tristan is basically the devil's child. Tristan is very messed up in the head and very very toxic. There's unhealthy relationships, religion, crime. It's basically an extreme good girl x bad boy. I loved the epilogue, the ending of this book had me nervous about how it would end, but it was perfect for them.

This story is Very dark. I was drawn in from the beginning. Tristan is a very complex character and I was invested in his and Ash’s relationship. This plot is full of twists, drama, suspense and intrigue. It’s an emotional roller coaster ride! The end was heartbreaking but, the epilogue was amazing. I love it!

This is a quick read. Heavy on the spice, light on story and character development. I disliked the page format and found several errors that should have been caught at proofreading, which drove my ocd crazy. Was the story fast paced? Yes. Did I forget who some characters were because they lacked depth and story focus? Also yes. Will I be reading it again? Unfortunately, no.

A bible thumping girl hooks up with her psychotic stepbrother who unalives ppl in the least descriptive way ever.

That’s it. That’s the whole “story”.
Even the intimate scenes lacked.

Lord Please forgive me for I have sinned 🖤🖤🖤 this book WOW I absolutely LOVED the tension between Tristin and Ash and the spice was on point and then the literal jaw dropping ending.... I will recommend this book to every book reader I know
