I'm the happiest I've ever been, at least that's what I've been telling myself for years. I had everything going for me, except one thing. I had to leave her behind because of the pity I saw in her eyes the day they arrested me, and my pride kept me from ever returning home. An opportunity of a lifetime presented itself, but it wasn't just the great benefits of the job that drew me to it. It gave me the opportunity to see him again. This is NOT an MC book. There is no recognisable club structure, no prez, no VP, no road captain, no SaA. They ride together 'when they can't It's not a bad storyline, it is quite engaging most of the time but there are points where you are pulled right out of the storyline. I have said it before and I will say it again, it doesn't matter how much the author believes she can write 'from the heart ' and a polished professional book is secondary to the story, it is an arrogance that ignores the mixed tense that absolutely litters the book, the utterly ridiculous use of incorrect words, for instance something is not 'foe' it is faux. Somebody doesn't wear a ' moo moo' nightgown they wear a MuMu. Brock changed his name and then back again. Then there is the ridiculous explanation that Travis joined the army at 18 and separated at 22 having been a special forces operator with Delta Force. Now, I'm not even American but even I am aware that you have to have a set amount of years service before you can even try out for Delta, that selection takes months and that the training takes years. I am also aware that once trained you don't walk away after a year or so. Why would they spend a huge amount of money to train you only to have you walk? However, what really got my back up was the whole concept of Wrenly being trained as a Marine Raider but only going on 4 missions 'probably because there was a woman on the team's Seriously? The U.S must like throwing good money after bad pretty consistently to spend money training a woman as a Raised only to keep her as an ornament for MARSOC. plus, having recently read up on it, there are women qualifying for MARSOC and the author is doing those operators a huge disservice not to mention dumbing down the role of women in the military -any military. I don't think I will be purchasing the next book in the series, I don't find a foul mouthed child amusing. I don't find the sexual escapades in the club amusing. Other than that, it is a romance and there are some beautiful scenes so if you are looking for romance it does deliver.
I never write reviews. Never…. But this MC series is fantastic. I love the details, the length, the MC’s mission as well as its covert mission. This novel dovetails nicely with the first novel and the same characters make their appearance. Two lost souls who were separated with time were able to mend their hearts and make a difference in other’s lives.
Grace, please keep this series going. I can’t get enough of it.
Loving this series. I absolutely loved Travis and Wrenly’s story ❤️❤️❤️ these novels are taking me into their lives and living it with them. AMZAZING 💯 I also laughed so much throughout some of the chapters. A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎🖤
