2.5 ish ⭐️Probably could have just waited to release the whole story. Didn’t really need this. It felt like a scene that was removed from a book 🤷🏽♀️ my opinion. The erotic part seemed rush but I guess that’s what you get with a 28 page erotic short. Maybe the follow up book will be better.

This is a very quick glimpse of a read. It gives you just enough to know a little about Keira, but mystery still shrouds Kassan. In reality, who would do this？And it was unprotected! In the book world and our imaginations we tend toward leniency. Not sure if the characters are my cup of tea, but the story is laid out well and the writing is good. 2.5 stars

This was a quick, unapologetically freaky little read, and it knew exactly what it was trying to be. No unnecessary buildup, no pretending it’s something deeper than it is. It drops you right into the tension and lets the curiosity do the work.
I liked that the story leaned into the mystery instead of overexplaining everything. Kiera is clearly overwhelmed and craving an escape, and Kassan is all confidence and intention. You do not get all the answers, but honestly, that worked for me here, especially since I knew the next book was waiting on me. The intrigue is part of the appeal, and it kept me engaged even in such a short space. For a short erotic novella, it delivered what it needed to. The pacing was tight, the spice showed up immediately, and nothing felt dragged out.
If you’re in the mood for something fast, steamy, and a little unhinged in a book-logic kind of way, this definitely scratches that itch. Then you can jump right into the next book.
