Lincoln and Addison have the perfect marriage, or do they? When someone who is jealous of their relationship starts telling lies to Lincoln about his wife, does he believe this other woman or his wife. Addison finds Lincoln in a compromising position and feels instant betrayal, unable to believe her loving husband could do that to her. Though estranged from her husband, she finds that she needs both mental and physical support after she receives devastating news, so she turns to the only person she knows will be there for her, no matter what—her husband, Lincoln. Will Lincoln step up to the plate and prove that Addison’s assumptions have been all wrong, and can he redeem himself in her time of need?
Naw. It was a complete mess, too many events happen and too little explanations, and no conflict resolved. There’s no psychological insight, the heroine and the hero act in a very inconsistent way to what happens to them. Their actions don’t mirror their feelings and intention. I didn’t like it at all. The plot is quite the same. Mc bro thinks his wife is cheating because he doesn’t exactly know what her job is. So he thinks she’s a hoe. And escort. Really dude? She meets people at hotel, guess what. She’s an event planner. The main question is, if he had doubts about her job, why didn’t he ask her to be more detailed about what she did? Is it reasonable to think that a couple married for seven years don’t know what their job is about? No, it’s not. So, the heroine surprises the hero at the club and finds him having a bj from another woman. He was asleep and drunk and she tried to rape him, but he doesn’t explain it. From there, we go down. They don’t talk for weeks, he still thinks she’s an escort until one of his bros tells him what her job is. I mean, how is that everyone knew what she did except him? Is it likely? No, not at all. She files for divorce and he doesn’t want to divorce, so what does he do to win her back? Nothing. There are more things that happen, like a miscarriage, cancer, a psycho ow that tries to murder the hero with cats. Yes. You read it, cats, those fluffy and lovely creature. He’s allergic you know. Basically there’s no resolution of conflict, no communication between them. All turns out to be ok in the end but to me it was a very shallow attempt to a dramatic story. Not at all.
Yeah so…this was pretty bad. It was like something that a 12 year old who doesn’t know anything about anything would write. Just a lot of things thrown in and none of them were accurately or fully dealt with. Very surface level writing and a ton of long time jumps. It’s only about 150 pages and by the time I got to 80% I felt like I had already read 600 pages. I forced myself to finish because I actually paid money for this mess.
I was going to give this one 2.5⭐️. The idea was there, but the execution wasn't working for me. I'll explain why I dropped the rating, but honestly, this book had so many errors and inconsistencies. I was left scratching my head in confusion several times because I couldn't figure out if the author meant this or that. I also feel like the timing for certain events was just way too short to be even remotely realistic. Dialogue was choppy. This just needs a really good edit and maybe it could be a decent read.
Basically, Lincoln (MMC) lets OW get in his ear about his wife Addy cheating on him. He ends up following her around and sees her make multiple trips to a fancy hotel with other men. She's an event planner and those are clients, but he gets the idea that she's a sex worker after seeing how much money she makes. So he obviously does the mature thing and goes to a party thrown at his MC and gets blackout drunk. Addy walks in and sees him with the OW going down on him, but he's passed out and not "up" to it, if you know what I mean. She accuses him of cheating and files for divorce but he refuses to sign. Eventually, cctv footage shows that he was passed out and the OW took advantage. Read, she sexually assaulted him. This is what Addy has to say about this later on:
Lincoln: “I didn’t do anything.” Addy: “You got drunk enough to put yourself in that situation. You have no one to blame but yourself. That I can’t forgive you for. Whatever possessed you to get that drunk and pass out, I’ll never know."
So, she victim blames him. In her opinion, he got drunk and "put himself in that position," so he's a cheater and can't be forgiven. 🤨 No. That turned me all the way off this book. That's so gross. That would have made me dnf, but I was close to the end by that point. I had already paid for the book, so I finished.
SPOILERS Too much went on in this book! First, a stalker ,a miscarriage (almost 4 months and didn’t know) , but she was so smart. Then, he was in a coma from an allergic reaction to cats and he was allergic to clindamycin, usually given for infections. And to cap it off she gets breast cancer. And that’s not all, but you get the picture. Oh and everyone in the MC including the wives didn’t like her. There’s more but I guess I’ve said enough.
If I could get a refund I would. This has got to be the dumbest mix mash up of books I've ever read.
Husband Abe Lincoln (rolling eyes) and wife Addy. Linc is in an MC and owns his own garage, wife is a party planner and owns an event company. Together 8 years, married for 5.
Abby makes a lot more money than Linc does. He starts to get resentful. He hears a club whore who keeps hitting on him, Stephanie, talking shit about his wife saying she must be a prostitute because she's always meeting guys at the fancy hotel in town.
This gets into Linc's head. He follows his wife and sees her meeting a few men outside the hotel in the same week. He gets drunk at a party and later when his wife shows up she sees him getting a blowjob from the same club whore Stephanie. He's passed out. Miraculously, he wakes up the instant his wife snatches her nappy head off his dick.
He accuses her of being a whore and while he's saying Stephanie assaulted him (she did) he also says maybe he liked it because she's too tired to have sex with him because she's whoring all day. And that even though she works for rich people she can't possibly make the money she does with her little business.
Addy leaves him. Files for divorce. Linc fights the divorce all while still thinking his wife is a high class hooker. Addy sees another incident at Linc's garage where Stephanie leaps into Linc's arms (and he lets her) and assumes he's still cheating. Linc tells people to ban Stephanie from anywhere he is but it still looks bad.
Addy is at work when she faints and smacks her head on the conference table. Turns out she's having a miscarriage at 4 months and didn't know she was pregnant. She loses the baby all alone in the hospital. Linc forces them to go to counseling before divorce. She also has to keep her gay business partner Brian with her at all times so the lawyer can't accuse her of sleeping with clients.
Addy still thinks Linc cheated because HE DOESN'T tell her he didn't or that he's not cheating. He doesn't answer his phone for THREE WEEKS when Addy calls then tells her if she's not cooperative with counseling he'll tell his lawyer. She unloads on him. He lets her leave.
Another 3 weeks go by. Seriously the time jumping is obnoxious. For someone who supposedly did nothing wrong and loves his wife, he's just letting months go by.
Then apparently they both have stalkers, specifically Lincoln. A man and a woman couple go around having affairs with married couples then turn around and blackmail them. The stalker woman has become obsessed with Lincoln and has cloned his phone so when Addy calls, it goes straight to the woman's phone instead. The stalkers think if the woman marries Lincoln, she'll take Addy's business from her and the man stalker will get Lincolns. And now Addy has to help catch the stalkers along with the police.
Rolled my eyes so freaking hard.
Linc goes home with his MC pals that I can't keep up with because they all have three names or nicknames and it's NOT done well. Super messy. Linc collapses and is rushed to the hospital. On hidden surveillance systems they see Stephanie and a man breaking into the house and letting at least 8 cats out in their house. Lincoln is deathly allergic to cats. So now, she's attempted murder. While Lincoln's in the hospital he gets worse because the doctors gave him clindamycin which he's allergy too. (Uhhhh he got an antibiotic for anaphylactic shock? Mmmmmk!) Addy goes to see him in the hospital and his parents kick her out.
Months go by. Then they meet again when finally Addy is asked to plan something for the MC.
See the theme of this book? They don't talk. They don't communicate. Weeks or months go by then something crazy and wackadoodle happens. Then mundane shit happens that adds nothing to the book or saving their marriage.
Addy also blames Lincoln for cheating still. She knows he was assaulted against his will but blames him for purposely getting drunk and putting himself in that situation.
Months goes by. They fuck at the club party Addy set up for them and she runs away.
Weeks go by. Addy now has breast cancer. Linc goes with her to the doctor and doesn't even know where she's living but yells at everyone who asks that she's still his wife.
C'MON. Is this a Korean soap opera? This book is a hot mess of plot holes, missing conversations, situations that stop and start unexpectedly. Time jumps. Terrible dialogue.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This is a good, better than average, second chance romance. Maybe more like a marriage in trouble, because they don’t actually get divorced.
Some skank decides that she wants the MMC. He is, of course, married to the FMC. Some skanks just won’t take no for an answer and she’s one of those. Trouble definitely ensues.
I enjoyed this one a lot. The skank gets what she deserves, and the FMC gets the love and support she deserves.
This story will tug at your heart strings. I laughed and I cried. So beautifully written. The main characters go through some very hard times. So to see them come together after almost being ripped apart by evil people was beautiful. The strength they had for each other was breath taking. Absolute must read.
I love how this was brought together. A mash of marriage, divorce, drama, brotherhood and sisterhood coming together during a crisis. Full Circle is definitely a proper name for this book. Highly recommend to read.
It was ok. I felt like giant parts were missing, things weren't explained, and situations didn't make sense. If he wouldn't divorce her, why would he let so much time go by without reaching out to her, so many times.
This book had the makings of being good however the MC were portrayed as Boy Scouts and that part of the book just didn’t ring true. The rest of the story was ok and quite sad.
The story is kind of cliche but it was good. I'm glad they were able to work on their relationship and she took his help, cuz I know a stubborn woman when I read about one.
Lincoln and Addy were deceived by lies and instructs which had an impact on their marriage. During that time a devastating illness for them both helped heal their hearts. Beautiful story.
Crazy stalkers, illness, misunderstandings, and so much more. This book keeps you guessing. Cancer sucks but having someone support you through is amazing.
This book was just ok. It was a fast easy read, not worth the money. I can't think of anything else but it was kind of boring. Run from this book. Shirley
I should have read the reviews. The book was as bad as its cover, that should have been my first warning sign. It is so poorly written it’s hard to believe an adult wrote this train wreck.
I absolutely love this book. I couldn't put it down. The emotional roller coaster and twists just kept me on the edge. Definitely a different type of mc club book but hella good! Definitely recommend!
Addie is a party planner. Lincoln (road name Abe) is a mechanic and a member of an MC.
Everyone in the MC, including Abe, is so dumb they can't understand what she does for a living. Party planning. They can't understand party planning. He's been married for five years and he does. not. know. what. she. does. for. a. living.
So there's a woman at the club who wants Abe for herself, Steph. Steph saw Addie meeting a man at a hotel (the only hotel in this town), and suggests to Abe that Addie might be a prostitute. And he starts to think his wife might actually be a prostitute.
So, about a week later, there's another get together at the clubhouse. Abe goes early, and Addie arrives later, after work. She finds Steph and Abe on the back patio and Steph is giving him a BJ. Abe goes back and forth between saying he was passed out drunk and Steph was raping him, to saying he wanted it because Addie won't have sex with him often enough, back again to accusing Steph of rape, back again talking about his cheating wife. He stays at the club house that night so he doesn't drive drunk. Addie goes back home, packs all her stuff, and leaves, because the house was his before they married.
The next Monday she brings her truck to his shop for an inspection. Because of course she did. Like she couldn't have gone anywhere else in the entire country. They have confrontation where he says he'll never sign divorce papers. That isn't a thing. You can't force someone to stay married to you by not signing papers. He tells his lawyer he'll drag it out for decades if he has to. That isn't really possible. It's ridiculous. And he tells his lawyer about her being a prostitute, so he still believes that nonsense. We also learn that most people who work at his garage didn't even know she was his wife when she came in for the inspection. That was bizarre. At this point we're only on page 29, and I just can't read anymore. DNF
Pretty good read about two folks who love each other but find themselves in different challenging situations. One pulls them apart, one brings them back together. The other woman drama was unique to MC books (in my experience) but was resolved way too easily. I'd have liked for the FMC to visually see more of the consequences the OW received. The one line resolution was too little for my tastes.
That was the only issue I had with the book. The two situations resolved themselves too quickly on-page. I know it was a novella, but I enjoyed the writing and would have read fifty more pages to flesh out both conflict more.
Still an over all solid read. Three and a half, round up to four stars.
