The Final Light kept me riveted. I loved that all the characters played such an important role in the story; it wasn't just Rhidian and Kaelina. Anica, Blaze, Waylen, Dell, Elias, and all the other characters brought depth and heart to the storyline. It made me, the reader, feel as if I was part of their world and was battling alongside them. The anguish, doubts, anger, hopes, humor, and love they had came through in the words. I found myself crying on several occasions because I felt truly moved by the unfolding events. War is always tragic, but it's even more so when fueled by prejudice and hate stemming from ignorance actively engineered by someone else; in this case Chaol. Sadly, this fantastical story speaks to the state of our current world. It was a great read, and I highly recommend it. Received, and reviewed as part of ARC, but will buy series for friend. Absolutely great story.
