I have a wife, an adorable son, a job where I make more money than I'll ever possibly need, what more could I want? Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd ever have eyes for another woman. Never in my dreams did I think I'd come home from my annual work trip to find a stranger in my house, a woman who draws me in like a siren, with the biggest blue eyes, sweetest smile, and curves for days. A woman who isn't my wife. My body reacts to her in ways it's never reacted to anyone else's before, and fuck, am I screwed. I shouldn't want my son's new nanny, one I had no idea my wife was hiring. I shouldn't want to be around her all the time, be the only one she kisses and touches and looks at with those sparkling blue eyes of hers that hold the same glint of pain that mine do. I shouldn't be thinking about her more than my wife, and I certainly shouldn't be smelling my son every chance I get because he smells like her. Finding out she lives with us too is a fun plot twist.
The second her blue eyes locked with mine, it felt like my world turned upside down. I fell into her orbit, just like my son did, and while I should want out of it, I don't. The thought should scare me, I should want to keep my distance and focus on my wife and my family, only it doesn't and I don't want to. I've never been one to cheat, but this nanny . . . Asher's Inny, has me tempted to do things I've never done before.
Shelby Rae writes swoony, contemporary romances with men who are obsessed with their women, and sassy, stubborn best friends who make you laugh while the main characters shake their heads. She writes contemporary romance, shifter romance, sports, and anything else she feels like writing.
This book was absolutely beautiful. From the beginning to the end, I couldn’t get enough!!!! Every characters growth and journey, it felt so personal. The side characters are to die for, absolutely beautiful people and the MCs? Yes please🥹😩❤️❤️❤️. Jason is a dream man!!! Now I want a blue eyes man with brown curly hair please😂❤️. He was just so sweet and Indy hit the jackpot with him! And talk about Indy?! The most beautiful soul🥹. To be loved by her is to love her purely. I fell inlove with this story and I’m going to be in love with it for a very long time! A definite must read!
This book had all the feels it moved so fast at the beginning that I wondered how much more could happen with all the pages to come, but there was so many twists and turns and ups and downs I couldn't put it down. With all the underlying back stories I was so glad for the main characters to find each other. I would recommend this book.
This book is my favourite read of the year. While this book had spice in it I loved the story line of the two main characters Indy Mae and Jason. I loved how this book took you on their journey from parts when they were younger when things were terrible for them both, to the journey they are on now as a couple still learning to love and trust each other and how they find comfort in each other and the family they have created with their close friends. If you haven’t added this book to your TBR stop what you’re doing and go add.
I'm sorry to say but I skipped over 100 pages as the story was too long.
✨ SPOILERS ✨
I hate cheating in books. Unfortunately, this was not disclosed in the trigger warnings. To make matters worse, we have two versions of cheating in the first 100 pages. Initially, Jason emotionally cheating on his wife (who we do not know is cheating on him at the time - so it made me hate him so much) then his wife physically cheating on him. Regardless of the characters, a contemporary romance should have a trigger warnings for cheating.
The instant love was too much. They both had these almighty overwhelming feelings after just looking at each other? Most shallow thing I've ever read in my life. Which is ironic since this whole book is about not judging a book by its cover.
It feels like a lifetime ago that we were dealing with Joseph. But that storyline was unbelievably unnecessary. It was a waste of 50 pages? And she goes on one date with this guy and suddenly he's being compared to against the MMC who she apparently is so madly consumed by, but a guy who she went on one date with and sort of liked... is suddenly in contention with the MMC? What?
Honestly, everything after this.. just unnecessary. So unnecessary.
The timeline on this book is the most questionable thing I have ever read. Twilight might be the only book to beat this timeline but holy fuck, met, fell in love and married in a month? Yep, and in the first 200 pages, so what was the point of the further 300 pages?
Sadly, some scenes should have been written and weren't. Or more scenes to show their love growing or tension and angst. And some scenes were written and honestly should never have been. We also had a few scenes were stories were told and then repeated to another person in the next chapter and we get a page of exactly the same summary provided previously and that's not even mentioning, trauma being dumped at you and no growth with it, just the full story of the trauma thrown at you one chapter later. Let it burn a bit. Damn.
The brother... The best friend... The weddings... I didn't even read their vows or any of the speeches. I just skipped those pages.
Terribly sorry, but this was fucking crazy and throughout the night, I said ... Just DNF this now. Just DNF. But it's an ARC, and I hate DNFing ARCs if I can help it.
Two stars. 1 spicy (I skipped so many sex scenes - I couldn't tell you how spicy this book actually was) but the few scenes I read it's the usual fluffy scene where they fuck and cuddle. No crazy dark themes. I did notice one scene which involved MMC putting pressure on FMCs neck to calm her. I may have missed something in the prior sex scene where he tried it and she was comfortable, I don't know.
I received this book (ARC) for free in exchange for my honest review which I am leaving voluntarily.

Indy Mae gets a new nanny placement with friends of her last family. She has a great first week before the father of the kid she’s taking care of shows up after business travel. They have an immediate connection but obviously he’s married and she’s not going to go there but when the mother has an affair and they are getting divorced there’s nothing to stand in the way anymore.
I liked this more than I thought I would. It’s really great at having deep characters who both work through trauma to be together. It did feel a little long but it was worth it in the end. Fun spice and a lot of healing for people who have had some terrible childhoods.
This is a pretty long book, I know a lot of people enjoy longer books so this will be perfect for those. Both main characters are broken. Please check your triggers warnings as always. Fmc is plus size, she does struggle with her body especially because of her upbringing. There is cheating in this book, I wasn’t aware or could see in the trigger warnings and I’m not really a fan of reading it therefore personally this book wasn’t for me. The real star of the show is little Asher, he was so cute.
♥️Forbidden ♥️Nanny FMC ♥️Millionaire MMC ♥️Boy Obsessed ♥️Broken MC’s ♥️Plus-Size FMC ♥️Open Door Spice Thank you Shelby Rae for this arc 💋
This book was a quick read to get into. I wasn’t a huge fan of how the main characters got together in the beginning but once you read it it’ll make more sense. There were spicy moments but overall this was an alright read. There was a lot that happened in the book that made me want to yell “communicate!” But once you understand the characters and their past trauma you find that instant communication is not their strong suit. It had a cute feeling throughout and happiness that both characters deserved.
Wow Tempted By The Nanny was an instant attraction to insta love ride I was happy to be on. Don’t worry everyone, there was no cheating by the FMC and MMC, it was the MMC’s wife that cheated, so nothing happened until after they separated. But man the chemistry between Indy Mae and Jason was so hot, Jason always let Indy know how much he loved her curves. Watching these two love each other and learn to get over past pain together was so beautiful.
To be honest, I had been putting this book off when I saw it had 720 pages. I do not usually read long books like this, but I gave it a shot. I thought at times that this book could have been shorter, with certain areas being taken out as there was so much detail. I did enjoy this book but am glad that I am done with it. It did take me a while to read it too.
This was an insta love romance. Both characters have past trauma so check TW. I enjoyed the story and the writing was great but it felt too long several times. Asher was the star of this book.
ARC REVIEW WOW. This book was wow. It had drama, smiles, tears, and heartbreak. I love Indy Mae so much and felt myself relating to her in many ways; Jason and his son's love for her is beyond beautiful. He loves her so loudly and proudly when he can. I feel the universe works in amazing ways and that Gia had no right to talk the way she did after what happened but despite indy was still the sweetheart she is. I love Linda and indy's bond so much. Theyve both gone through so much and are eachothers support :their more than just best friends ,they're sisters. I could say a million things about this book but one thing ill forever love is Jason's patience. It takes a lot to love someone like that especially with his past but he was so patient with her and thats just something thats beyound beautiful.
