Rate this book
Scream Queen Vivian Beck has been marked for Death.

Her only hope is that Danica Grey, Jilly the Fae Dragon, and the crack team at Spellbound Security can find out who’s after her and stop them before they succeed in killing her.

It won’t be easy. She’s a famous actress at the top of her game, and taking time off from her career would relegate her to the D-list. Her biggest dream is becoming a household name.

Enter Danica and her team. It will require all their special talents to protect her. Bodyguards on the set, investigating the threats, infomancy, and that added edge only magic can bring.

An unexpected ally appears as a witch Danica had thought was an enemy. Could the other woman teach her something that tips the balance?

Don’t forget about your enemy, Moriarty, lurking in the shadows. That criminal mastermind has not forgotten about you, Danica.

Moriarty has identified her as a challenge to be defeated. Another player in his endless game of move and counter move toward ruthless goals.

Behind the brazen attacks on the Scream Queen, Moriarty is setting up an irresistible trap to kill her, Danica, and anyone else who’s foolish enough to step inside. Okay, game on.

Can Danica and Jilly save Vivian? Can they save themselves? There’s only one way to find out.

For action, magic, snarky banter, martial arts, mystical creatures, and a dash of mystery, join Danica and Jilly for the next adventure of Spellbound Security!

I’m TR Cameron, science fiction author. I’ve been an avid consumer of the genre since I was six, I think, when I broke the seal on my Dad’s copies of the Asimov Foundation books. It’s been all downhill since then.

I have a day job that I love most days, and writing is pretty much my only consistent hobby. When I find time that’s not already filled with my wife, my daughter, my writing, my work, or dodging the affections of our clowder of cats, you can find me playing video games (currently Dishonored 2 – I’m a little behind the times on this one), watching things (Marvel movies, American Gods, Agents of Shield, Justified, The Expanse, Gotham), playing board games, or, naturally, reading.

My favorite authors in Sci-Fi are David Weber, Jean Johnson, John Scalzi, CJ Cherryh, and the giants: Asimov, Pohl, Bear, Heinlein, etc. I read a lot in other genres too, and am a big fan of Matthew Woodring Stover, Michael Anderle, Jim Butcher, and I could go on and on and on. If I had to choose one favorite, though, it would be Stephen R. Donaldson, whose Thomas Covenant series was transformative for me.

Probably my pie-in-the-sky dream for my writing career is that someone would make a movie or television show of my books and I could be a part of the production. Sure, unlikely, but a clowder-dodger can dream, right? My more practical dream is that I can keep writing and both entertaining and connecting with my readers for years and years to come.

An interesting magical security company based in Cleveland

This series is about a magical security company based in cleveland. The main character also happens to have a young dragon. There's a lot of stark, humor, violent and crazy situations where the company has to protect their assets, in this case a scream queen actress, and a complicated magical system. I will definitely read the next book in this series.

Another star saved

Danica and her team are tasked with protecting the actress known as the Scream Queen. They find it a big challenge as there seems to be more than one team out to get her, and they are also learning to work together as they are still a new team. I always enjoy the series by these authors, there is always plenty of humor, action, and some mystery thrown in.

Voltaic hack scenes are just fillers every time I have to skip they are just boring and don’t contribute to the story

A decent In-between book with action, magic, and a really bad villain. The team is shaping up and the bad guy has them in his sights. The game is afoot..... as they say.
