This is an adorable book! Set in a small English village, where life is wonderful but hard, it is the story of how a big star "footballer" (soccer player) and a regular girl from the village find each other. Jessy has live in this village all her life, leaving only to go to university to get a business degree. Luke Adams, footballer has inherited the village (yes, everything in it) from an aunt he never knew. The manor house and indeed, the village is in genteel disrepair- they don't even have central heat, just wood burning stoves and electric heaters. When Luke breaks his ankle during a game, he retreats to check out his inheritance, along with his famous, beautiful, influencer girlfriend, Morgana. Also in the party are his agent, and a TV producer Morgana is working with to produce a Christmas show from the Manor house. Everything is not as it seems- both with the scenery for the show or in the lives if the people involved. Watching Luke and Jessy dance around their attraction, and discover what lies under the surface of everything makes for a great read!
A perfectly sweet Holiday romance! Jessy has lived in Granthaven, a cozy yet rundown village, her whole life. Luke Adams is a famous footballer who has just inherited a remote village called Granthaven which according to the inheritance he cannot sell for a year. Although Luke has no idea how to run a village, he can’t help falling for a local villager named Jessy. Will Luke be able to save the village and win the girls heart? I really enjoyed this fun, festive story.

Jessy and Luke are attracted to each other from their first meeting... but he's a celebrity with a girlfriend, and she's just a small-town girl.
I had issues all over this one until the twist is revealed. The characters were well-written and the plot was wonderful. I always enjoy the stories this author writes. My only complain is that the language isn't as clean as I'd've liked.

A cute holiday read. Jessy lives in a small town, Luke a famous footballer and his social influencer girlfriend inherit the town and as part of the will he isn't able to sell it for a year. Jessy is attracted to Luke but she feels guilty about acting on the attraction. I love this author and usually can't put her books down, but I found this one, slightly more predictable than her others. It's still a lovely, wholesome Christmas read, good characters and a feel good factor read.
I wanted to read a Christmas story to get in the Christmas spirit. This was a typical predictable story where the boy gets the girl in the end. It dragged a bit even though you knew what was going to happen in the end. I did enjoy the feeling of the community and how they all cared and looked after one another. A simple book with a happy ending.
