Stolen Vows was a bit harder for me to rate if i’m honest.
Mario wanted revenge for what Valentina and her father did to her,but i’m not sure about the way he treated her at first.
Yes,he threatened her…..but forcing her to wear the lingerie he had delivered to her hotelbedroom didn’t sound that bad to me…..
And yes,he forced her to choose between him and her father,but marriage was actually a way out of a bad situation for her,so….
Valentina’s father was a total creep with her,and not only that,he almost killed Mario 10 years ago.
So,in actual fact,Mario saved her before her father could do even worse things to her than he’d already done!
Ok,Mario didn’t know the truth….he thought Valentina lied to her father back then about him.
And he was dismissive to her explanations of her life with her father after her mother disappeared….until he was forced to accept the truth.
After brutally taking her virginity the day he’d forced her to marry him.
Once he did,he did a one/eighty and went straight to trying to make things right.
But her father,and his brother,weren’t done with them yet….and yes,things got worse before they finally got better.

My problem with the story was that Mario wanted revenge on both Valentina and her father,but he never actually harmed her.
Yes,taking her virginity hurt badly,and yes she had a violent period because of it,but he really tried to be there for her when that happened.
The only ones that got the brunt of his revenge was her father,but his brother disappeared without a trace.
No word on where he went,or if Mario’s men were still looking for him.
So,Stolen Vows gets 3 🌟….and i hope that i’ll get what i missed here in Jealous Vows,Mario’s niece Sienna’s story.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. This one give readers all the angst. Mario Luciano is after revenge. His best friend, Pietro Denaro, has someone coming for him that he did not even know was alive. Pietro stabbed Mario in the back literally and figuratively. Mario is determined to take Pietro down, and he wants to use his daughter to do it. Mario knows that Pietro dotes on his princess. He will break her down and make her his.

Valentina Denaro just wants to get out from under her father. The calm facade that she puts on for everyone else is becoming tiresome. Valentina is preparing to marry Romeo Yovanni. A man her father arranged for her to marry. She just wants to get away from her father. She can deal with anything, but staying with him for the rest of her life. Imagine Valentina's surprise when she sees a ghost from the past. Mario was Valentina's first crush. He betrayed her father, but that does not stop her longing for him.

Both Valentina and Mario have different perceptions on the other. Mario thinks that Valentina is a vindictive princess. She is the reason why his best friend stabbed him in the back. Valentina thinks that Mario betrayed her family. Mario is ready to take his revenge and he determined to use Valentina. He will own and punish her for her role in his demise then he will go after her father. Will the truth finally come out? Mario and Valentina were close. Are those feelings still there? Ms. Bonds knows how to give readers a good story without all the extra words. This book gets right to the point and leaves no stone unturned. I love that about her books. I feel like I always get a complete story, despite the book being part of a series.

This is book #6 in this series and it’s Mario and Valentina’s exciting story. It’s well written, intriguing, full of deception, lies, suspense, mystery, emotions, complex characters, and the perfect amount of steamy moments to entertain you throughout and turning the pages.

wow this book was so gripping that i read it three times thru staying up all night into the next day because i just couldn't put it down and wanted to absorb every nuance and meaning from each word, expression and action between Mario and Valentina. this story got into my mind hard and i could truly picture these characters as real ppl who were living this complicated mess of a life. Valentina just trying to survive with noone to help and nowhere to turn yet strong in the face of mario's hatred and desire to hurt her to appease his anger. mario who wants to inflict pain on the one he thinks betrayed him yet also loves her and doesn't know how to reconcile both of those in his soul esp being the mafia enforcer he is.
this was really well written, richly detailed with wonderful world building. this story was so gritty, gripping, foreboding, emotional, hopeless, traumatic, and more i can't find the words for. it takes u on a roller coaster ride of emotions that leave u aching for both characters. Valentina is a young woman who started being abused as a young preteen by her father. She had a crush on her fathers friend an older man like an uncle to her Mario whom she loved. Her father betrayed her and mario leaving mario for dead after telling him lies. mario schemes for revenge for 10 yrs determined to make valenina pay in pain for what she did. but valentina is innocent and her father has spread lies about her and controlled her to where she has little hope of escape. Mario takes his revenge when he kidnaps her from her arranged marriage and starts to exact his revenge causing valentina pain and nearly losing her afterwards. but soon discovers all is not as he thought it was and perhaps he has been hating the wrong person. valentina's actions and behaviour is not that of a guilty person nor what he was expecting and he must decide to find the truth. meanwhile he nearly loses valentina once more in another way which terrifies him and makes him face his true feelings. mario will do whatever it takes to make her father pay with his life not only for himself but for her but his enemy wants his daughter back and is out for blood too. can they get their revenge, stop hurting and truly find the love they feel for each other before its too late and someone dies? can valentina forgive mario for the way he's treated her and move forward? will her father win and end up killing his old friend once and for all like he thought he'd done 10 yrs ago? can valentina ever heal from the emotional abuse suffered at the hands of her father?.

It’s the story of Mario, wrongly accused and refused to die ex Consigliere to Pietro the mafia don. Mario serves his don with all his loyalty until the day his don decided to kill him after thinking he touched his 12 year daughter Valentina.

After being stabbed in the back and left for dead in an alley Mario starts plotting his revenge on father and daughter for the life and family that was taken from him. 10 years later he has patiently waited for them to return to NYC and now the time has come to get what he deserves. His revenge.

Valentina is locked in a gilded cage, smiling when she supposed to, dresses how she’s supposed to, presenting this perfect version of a mafia princess to the world. The world who has no idea the hell she lives through every day. Knowing she must marry to form an alliance with the Bratva she sees this as her chance to get out from under her fathers thumb.

Only once they get to NYC she sees a ghost from her past who is supposed to be dead. Until he makes himself known and then informs her she will be his and he will hurt her and her father for his suffering.

The problem is she has always loved Mario every since she was a girl and now that’s she a woman she can’t help how she reacts to him even if she’s supposed to hate him for the traitor her father told her he was.

This story has so many twists and turns I didn’t see coming. It kept me on edge and k couldn’t put it down. Thankfully it’s a short story so I was able to read it in an afternoon.

I love V.T. Bonds and this series. If you love a good mafia/dark romance check this series out. You won’t be left wanting.

Valentina life changed in one night, her mother left and Mario my fathers second also gone deemed a traitor
The last twelve years have been a nightmare and now Valentina is being married of to another Bratva family she hopes that this will be better than living under her fathers vicious and volatile rule, a cruel and ruthless man that watches her with eyes that are not those of a father.
Then as the weeks grew closes, she is sure that she saw her father’s best friend and his second that she had believed killed all those years before and now it seems that Pietro and his brother Alessio have been working together and they had set Valentina up all those years ago and he had believed them for a time.
The nightmares that Mario has seem his wife experience and the horror he has seen her as she dreams has torn his heart apart, what were these dreams about she has never been able to put the pieces together and when this final happens it only exacerbates her nightmares.
In the time that they have been together they have been like a married couple and it seems that the lies that had split them up all those years ago are finally over and as his wife he are together and planning their life her father is still trying to seek retribution but he will protect his woman, what he fails to see is she will do what it take to protect her husband and this makes the book a wonderful heartfelt read.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

I've used a lot of exclamation points but believe me, they're warranted!
Valentina's life is a nightmare of being controlled by her father. She fears him and must do as he commands. Marrying a stranger is one of those commands. It's while shopping for said wedding that she sees a ghost. Mario. But that's impossible, he's dead. He betrayed her father and her father ended him. The only man that she'd ever loved.
Mario will get his payback for the lies and betrayal. Her lies told to her father, his best friend, that lead to him being killed. He was left for dead and has planned for years and now, it's time. She'll never marry the man her father chose for her. She belongs to him and he will use her to get revenge on the man he once thought of as a brother. He has watched her forever but, there's something about her actions that unsettle him. Especially when her father is around.
Mario shows up everywhere she goes and it's a battle of wills, and lust. When her father tells her of his after marriage plans, she feels all hopes of the freedom that her marriage would have giving her from him, from his control over her, come crashing down. Maybe, just maybe, there hope.
When the truth, the real truth, comes out, Mario will take his revenge as well as hers!
This story, this one here! And the wedding crash was. . .something! V. T. never disappoints! This is definitely one you'll want in the Mafia section of your library.

She is her father's pawn, the last of her line. Since her mother's death her father has been circling her in ways that make her uncomfortable. Playing the innocent daughter is killing her as she tries to find some escape. But her arranged marriage is approaching and she is terrified of the plans being forced onto her. The day of her wedding, he shows up. He is her father's former best friend, the one her father blames for hurting their family, but he has a different story to tell and he wants revenge on the man that stabbed him in the back and left him for dead. He takes her, plucks her away and makes he his wife. They both learn that they have been mislead and they have a common enemy. I was at first bothered by the rough mafia, not that the story was too gritty but that it seemed unsophisticated. I love a little unhinged, and he surely had some of that, but it was more that it felt too petty, not calculating for him to really be successful. I grew into the characters as the story progressed and I appreciated how they were honest with themselves and each other despite the circumstances. I liked watching their relationship progress rather than a constant back and forth. I really liked the second half much more than the first half and the story really came together for me.

This entry in Bonds’ Vicious Mafia Kings series has another over-the-top obsessed hero. But what makes it stand out compared to other books in this series is that the heroine is equally obsessed. Both have been damaged by the same man: Valentina’s father and Mario’s former best friend. Mario is driven to avenge the damage Pietro caused him years ago, and one way he plans to do that is to steal his daughter Valentina on her wedding day and make her his own. But he doesn’t realize that Valentina is driven just as hard to be free of her father.

Stolen Vows is the story of these two uncovering the damage Pietro has done to them both and how they need to understand exactly what happened all those years ago to drive Pietro and Mario apart. This is a bit of a bonkers read, but I loved how completely Valentina and Mario were willing to use one another to achieve their ends. There are bits and pieces in this book that didn’t make sense to me, like why Valentina’s fiancé would go along with what Pietro planned (and how mafiosos get away with multiple public shootings and hospital visits!). But in the crazy world Bonds has crafted in this series, it didn’t diminish the fun I had reading a story about not one, but two completely obsessive people.

I have read all the books in this series but honestly this one is my least favourite. The story line was extremely unique with some odd perversions between Valentina inflicted by her father. Although it was sensitive to read, I thought it was well thought out by the author.

What didn’t seem believable to me was the initial hate/revenge plot between Mario and Valentina which was viscerally described in great detail. This was understandable given the betrayal that occurred a decade earlier. Then it seemed there was an instant flip of the switch after the wedding to intense obsessive possessive love. That just seemed a little too contrived to me.

I did enjoy their steamy love story despite the seemingly unrealistic storyline. Yes I know it is fiction but I like when the storyline is somewhat believable. Overall I have enjoyed this series immensely.

This story is a bit of a tangent from the others in this series as there is only a tangental relationship to the MCs from the previous book. Nevertheless, I liked the forced marriage, friends to enemies to lovers trope. Valentina hid some big secrets and Mario's hatred was such that he didn't want to hear what he considered her excuses. He blamed her for her father literally stabbing him in the back and was going to use her for revenge. Thankfully most of these secrets are revealed soon after their marriage so we get to see them together without lies and misunderstandings. The spicy scenes, both before and after were very good. My complaint, I wanted more details and explanations about some of the background of these characters and the issues that started this vendetta. It just seemed rushed when it came to that part of the story. Good HEA and hint that this series may NOT be over. Looking forward to more.

Book six of stupendously superb Vicious Mafia Kings series of interconnected standalones, Stolen Vows is an arranged marriage dark romance. As with the rest of this series, I could not stop until the end. Lies, secrets, betrayals, vengeance, brutality, magnificent characters, and plenty of kindle melting steam! Valentina has always loved Mario, but ten years ago she was told he betrayed their family and he was “taken out of the picture” by her twisted father. Now in New York as she prepares to marry for an alliance, she sees the impossible, Mario. Mario was once left to die for a crime he didn’t commit. Now he seeks vengeance on the two who caused it, Valentina and her father Pietro. But what if Pietro had the wool pulled over her eyes? A must read series!.

I've followed along with this series since the first book came out, and this one may be my favorite.

One of my favorite things about this series has been how strong the women are portrayed and how equal to the MMC they are. This is no exception. Valentina is strong, determined and willing to be ruthless of need be to finally be free of her father.

I loved and hated the angst. Even knowing there was a HEA, I really felt the painful things each had to go through.

Every book seems even more thought out than the last and so well done. I have adored this series and HIGHLY recommend it to anyone looking for a good mafia series where the men have souls and the women are fierce. Very well done!.

Dirty Games
10 years since Valentina’s life collapsed and she was forced to play a role to survive the darkness that threatened her. Her ‘uncle’ Mario had to take the blame, but he was double crossed too, nearly losing his life. He thought he could get his revenge through her, but when they met after all these years, old feelings resurfaced. When they found out that they were both played, their love prevailed.
A bit shorter than the other books in this series, but still a very rewarding read, I had to finish it in one go. Strong MCs, adapting terrible trauma’s, everlasting love. There is an age gap, but not clearly mentioned. Enjoyed it very much!

This book is slightly different from the series theme, focusing on their hate/love relationship, betrayal, anguish, bad decisions and her father's influence..

Valentina and Mario steamy, age gap, enemies to lovers, forbidden love is a wild ride.
He wants revenge because she wronged him and that leads to dark steamy scenes. Don't want to give away to much but she loses her virginity in a bloody way....
As in the other books before is well written, has a soul-gripping plot,excelent world building and development of the characters.
There's a lot of triggers so check the TW.

Stolen Vows is my first book from this author and definitely won't be the last. It is very suspenseful and such a page-turner.

Valentina was young when her father began abusing her. She had a crush on Mario who was her father's friend. Valentina's father betrayed her and Mario after he told lies to him. Mario wants revenge on Valentina and kidnaps her when she is supposed to be getting married. Mario finds out that he was wrong in his hate for her. What will happen to their relationship? You have to check this one out to find out.

This story is full of suspense and is very well-written. I look forward to more from this author.

This is another good read in this series. Each story gives us a new couple and new evils that they endured. This story is about malicious lies and secrets and when they are finally revealed the truth will win.
I am enjoying this series and this book is no different. Valentina and Mario are good together. It was nice to see that once the truth comes out the two are ready to fight for what they want and what the truth is. Their story is full of emotions and twists that keep you engaged. I loved the strength of the bond between these two and the trust that they show each other. Their journey is fast paced and pulled me in right from the start.

A well written story of betrayal, misjudgement, abuse and revenge. Abandoned by those around her, including her mother and fathers best friend, Valentina is left to suffer under her father's controlling ways.
Little does she know her father's best friend is out for revenge. Passion takes over and sets them both alight.
Although the topics covered in this books are not the easiest and maybe triggering to some, I thought this was one of the better written books in the series. I really felt the tenderness and emotions between the two leads and how they d been manipulated. The use of the honorific title though was a bit jarring and I wish that had been left out.
An intense, emotional read.

Light.
Very light if you are a dark romance fans.
The segs scenes was good.
But, to say love after a night together for their wedding night with her got virginity taken in bloody way? Without them getting everything all in the out? Without them having the blow out to see their real self? Yeah, not my kind of romance there.

I love the part when both of them see the ugly, the pain, the worst from each other and still standing beside each other. Being the biggest supporter for each other whatever happen, including lilling your evil, now thats the love i want to see.

She wronged him and he's going to make certain not only does she pay for lying but he's making her his forever.

Mario was a man filled with rage that had been simmering for 10 years. Underneath that rage, there is a man who looks out for those who are loyal. We also get to see the caring side.
Valentina is a young woman with a lot of trauma, both past and present. She is a "bird in a cage" controlled by her obsessed and disgusting father.
This story has some serious triggers, and violence. The best part is "watching" Mario take care of Valentina during a painful time. This was an okay read, despite the repetition of: the knife in the back, left for dead.

Soon things come to light that show they were both betrayed. Mario and Valentina become a force to reckon as their realize the depth of lies and seek vengeance. I enjoyed their growth as a couple and the epic ending.

The author really knows how to engage the reader—at least, that's how it was for me. I started reading this book during my lunch break, which turned out to be a mistake; I should have set aside more time for it. It was hard to put the book down.

At the beginning, I understood the main male character's need for revenge, and the author's gradual revelation of the main female character's unusual behavior later in the story made everything clear. It all finally made sense. The journey for our main characters was long, but in the end, they achieved their happily ever after.

Phew! This one definitely had me emotional. I may or may not have wanted to just reach through the book and smack Mario upside the head a few times. Or at least shake him to make him actually pay attention! But the pain both of them were working through was intense. I loved getting to know Mario and he certainly has that soft side for Valentina, once he’s willing to accept the truth. And Valentina. Oh my poor Valentina. My heart went out to her and the horror she lived in. I’m so glad she has her safe place with Mario and I’m glad they found the family they both lost ten years ago. Such a fantastic story! Loved it!!

These books keep getting better and better. I was hooked from the very beginning. The dynamics of the story between Marco and Valentina keep you hooked and the twists and turns that this story takes are so well - written. The chemistry between Marco and Valentina is hot, and these two have loved each other for awhile. Deception and lies have made things between them hard and cause them to not trust one another. Marco saves Valentina unknowingly until after and hard truths start coming to light. This was sooo good I was not ready for it to end. This is a must read!!!!

Loved it!
Mafia, arranged marriage, enimies to lovers, j/p MMC, and more.
I was pulled into the story right away and it held my attention all the way through.
There was danger, action, suspense, betrayal, and a few revelations.
In addition, there were emotional moments and delicious spice.
Valentina and Mario always had a connection. At first, it was just as a protector and her first crush. Sadly, because of lies and betrayal things changed.
I loved the ending!
Another fantastic mafia and dark romance by V.T. Bonds!

The two end up married, but only because Mario wants revenge that involves both Denaros, and he waited for a decade to strike.
You don't want to skip this one! The backstories, betrayals, the heat, and the bombshell that will will blow your mind, will you stunned.
