I just wanted to write a fluffy Christmas romance—now I’m trapped with Krampus and tangled in Yuletide magic.
My life as the "Queen of Christmas Cheer" was simple. Write a sparkling holiday romance, make everyone believe in happy endings, and never, ever think about the darker stories lurking in my mind.
Then I burned a manuscript about Krampus. And he came to life.
Now, I’m snowed in with an ancient, horned spirit who claims I belong to him.
He’s temptation made real--dangerous power and gentle strength, with a voice like midnight promises. More claws and shadowed desire than Santa’s warm and fuzzy cousin.
But the worst part? My stories are coming to life—literally. Each scene of darkness and passion I’ve ever dared to write is unfolding around me, complete with magic, monsters, and a winter storm determined to keep me trapped here.
Krampus says I can’t run from this. He wants me to embrace my true power—and him. But if I choose this wild, intoxicating magic, I might lose everything I’ve built.
Then again, maybe the Queen of Christmas is ready to reign in the shadows.
Bestselling authors Alexa Ashe, Annie Black, HC Hunter, Jewel Hayes, and Lexi Lennox have come together to celebrate the holidays with this series of holiday romances that will leave you saying Yule Be Mine!
Book 1 of the Yule Be Mine monster romance series. All steamy-standalone monster romances that can be read in any order.
How the dialogue was playing out was sooo corny & immaturely written that it killed all the vibes for me. Perhaps it gets better, but I won’t be finding out.
I have to say…this book surprised me. Krampus is portrayed as the monster but it’s really Clara. He loves her with every fiber of his being and sees her for who she is. He wants her. He KRAVES her.
A romance writer famous for her sweet fluffy stories has been secretly writing much darker romances, something Noelle’s agent says will ruin her branding.
So Noelle has holed up in a cabin to force herself to finish her next cozy romance. Unfortunately, her dark stories keep drawing her in, so in frustration Noelle burns them all — and unknowingly invokes Krampus.
The cover is cheesy but the book is good spicy fun. It’s Krampus so expect some spanking.
When I first started reading this book I was a bit unsure for the first few pages but I’m not one to dnf a book without giving it a chance and I’m glad I continued with this one.
We all know the story of Krampus - big, bad and hates children. Well the FMC who is called Noelle thought the same and when she went to a cabin near some woods to finish writing some of her Christmas books she had a chance to see a different side of him. He introduces her to his world and all the magic that is there trying to change her mind about him and he does a great job as things get a bit spicy. This book is fast flowing and managed to keep me reading until I’d finished it. I read it in one sitting. Everything about this story makes it feel seasonal and magical. There is spice but only in certain parts and doesn’t spoil the storyline at all. It is definitely a part of how the main characters develop and grow together We do have our evil queen playing her part and I was surprised to find out who it was and why she was so bad to Noelle. If you love Christmas and magical tales along with a little bit of spice then definitely go and read this one. You won’t be disappointed.
I received an ARC of this from Alexa Ashe and want to say thank you for a great book
Kraved by Krampus is an amazing paranormal romance that is quite suspenseful and a definite page-turner. Kraved by Krampus is a book part of the A Yule Be Mine Monster Romance series. I love how Author Alexa Ashe takes a fantasy monster that is usually seen as a horrifying monster turning into something that is absolutely fantastic. Kraved by Krampus follows the journey of Clara and Krampus are fabulously written and remarkably executed by Author Alexa Ashe. This author continues to capture my attention with her breathtaking storytelling and writing skills. I absolutely enjoyed getting to know both of Clara and Krampus as well as witnessing their amazing story unfolding before my eyes. Clara just wanted to write a fluffy Christmas romance, but she accidentally summons Krampus after burning her manuscript. Krampus claims that Clara belongs to him, he is an ancient horned spirit that I absolutely fell in love with right from the beginning of the book. I would most certainly encourage others to check out and give Kraved by Krampus a read. I can hardly wait to see what else Alexa Ashe will create for her next book.

Noelle/Clara is renting a cabin where she plans to finish her book. But her creative juices seem to be blocked. Instead of the light and fluffy books she's always done she feels called to write something a little darker. Krampus is waiting for her at the cabin. He watches as she tries to burn her manuscript that is the darker side. Then he reveals himself to her. Krampus wants to teach her what she is...a creature of magic. But she feels she is nothing but ordinary with a side of darkness that she tries to hide. Unfortunately her stories don''t bring her the joy they once did. The down side is her publisher is pushing her for more light hearted happy ever after stories. Krampus knows she is to be his mate but she is stubborn and when her publisher shows up pushing her she makes a choice that turns her colorful world into something pale and empty. Will she be able to get back to that rich colorful life she experienced? A beautiful story of an ancient diety trying hard to claim a mate he's waited for for centuries. It will bring tears to the eyes but eventually joy to the heart.

A Christmas romance author that is known for writing sappy stories summons Krampus when she burns the dark romance she has written about him. Once Krampus arrives he plays out the scenes she had written and reveals that they are mates. He also helps her to find the magic that resides within her while revealing his true story and not the one we all know.

Another of what will be many reads on the wonderful Krampus! :D This is about an author :D who just can't get into the groove and ends up burning her manuscript, unhappy with how it was developing. And... inadvertently bringing Krampus to life. :D Then... the more she writes the more magic happens as her creative story, comes to life. A great afternoon read for me and thoroughly enjoyed. Another ARC I was lucky enough to get. This one by Alexa Ashe. I've read a few of her books and loved them all. She wrote this one with Jewel Hayes. This was so good. A writer goes on a retreat to write her next safe, sweet romance and meets Krampus. Yes, that Krampus. He isn't anything like he is portrayed. Do yourself a favor and get this on it's release. So good!
This wasn't terrible, but I didn't love it. Felt like the story jumped around and never really felt cohesive. Loved the overall idea, just questioning some of the execution.
Overuse of "little mate" really took me out of the story, and I truly almost DNF'd at the use of "pussy honey". 😂
Kraved by Krampus is a tale of magical discovery, the power of the pen, and striving for balance in our lives. This delightful story has so many wonderful exciting elements. The FMC Clara is struggling as an author of cheery feel good Christmas books. She is a well established and successful author but feels she has a darker story that needs to be told. However her publisher doesn’t like that idea at all. Clara doesn’t know that her magic is starting to awaken. While on a writer’s retreat, she meets Krampus, and strange things are happening around her that are confusing and putting her in danger. Can she learn to control her inner magic or will she deny herself the balance she has been reaching for, the protection Krampus offers, the safety she feels in his arms, and the chance to be the woman she was always ment to be? This is a marvelously different and delightful holiday story!
On the whole I enjoyed this book. Krampus and his sentient house Magnus are delightful, the plot is interesting, the smex is hot, and there’s plenty of it.
However, there was one thing that struck me as problematic at the very beginning. Noelle/Clara is the successful author of Xmas romances, although she is drawn to darker themes. Her agent keeps telling her that she mustn’t indulge those darker desires, as it will ruin her reputation and her brand. This is where I had my first problem with the book. Everyone knows that all she has to do is publish them under a different name, and no one will ever know they are penned by the same person as her sweet romances. But for the sake of the plot, she can’t be aware of that possibility. So the book starts out with a silly premise. I wish the author had found a different way to start things out, the didn’t require a suspension of disbelief on the reader’s part. I mean, sure, this is a fantasy, and all of it requires suspension of disbelief, but accepting magic is quite different from accepting that an author can be so blind to the possibilities within the publishing world.
Then again, Clara is pretty blind in general. I found her reactions, her willful blindness and ability to explain away all the things she experiences, annoying. She refuses to recognize that Krampus is a magical being, and explains away much of what happens in the early parts of the book. And it was so obvious to me that something was very wrong with Victoria, that everything about her was suspicious, but Clara is oblivious. And her self-righteous mental tirade against Krampus after the Victoria’s visit to the house, when she was actually the one at fault…. Well, she does redeem herself later on, but it’s a long time in coming.
I’m not sure my reaction to Clara is what the author had in mind - I think she probably meant her character to be sympathetic, and other readers may well find her so. But I found her, as I said, rather annoying.
Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy the book, in spite of my complaints. It’s worth reading. Just be prepared for some annoying behavior on Clara’s part.

Clearly I'm in the minority, but this was an annoying read. SHE was annoying to read. 65% in and there doesn't seem to be a lot of development in Clara's character. She lies all the time, she's still in denial about magic after she has seen it and used it, she doesn't listen, and she's self-centered. She lies AGAIN, he responds, and she was to have her feet and stamp her feet, acting like she's the victim. Girl! You brought this on yourself! He's supposed to be understanding, while you act like a child. GTFOH.
I love Krampus stories! I don't get all of the love for this book... AT ALL!
Frankly, I'm tired of writers creating stupid female characters who spend more time denying what's happening out of fear rather than accepting the very world the author wants us to dive into. It doesn't make them strong. It makes them annoying characters. It's a stupid plot device that detracts from the story. The characters aren't being pushed into a horrific reality like being kidnapped. This was just frustrating.
For the character being an author it just felt she was poorly written. Really?! She wrote a whole detailed world but can only tell a two sentence story to some kids. SMH.
To begin, I am a fan of Alexa's work and I never write a review that does not represent what I truly feel after reading a book.
Having made this clear, this is the story of Clara, known as the Queen of Christmas stories and Krampus, the demon winter King.
These two meet when Clara, after standing in front of a fire and writing a book about love between a Monster and a woman, decides that she is not satisfied at all with her new book, rips it and throws it completely in the fire.
Like the Phoenix, Krampus comes out of the ashes and starts taunting as well as creating situations and locations that are carbon copies of what Clara imagined in her book. In addition, the cottage where Clara lives is inhabited by a spirit named Magnus who does not restrain from manifesting itself.
The story, in itself is imaginative, creative and interesting to read but the constant reminder, chapter after chapter, that this situation is exactly like the one in Clara's burned book, grows tiresome and prompted this reader to skip pages more than once.
I rate this book with 3 Stars for the reasons listed above.
A brilliantly written story, with a slow-build romance, magic, mystery, action and a touch of humour.
Noelle/Clara writes feel-good Christmas romance stories but goes to a woodland cabin when she has writer's block and a deadline looming. But no matter what she does she can't come up with something warm and 'fluffy'. Her publisher advises against darker stories but she couldn't help writing one draft down, about a Christmas spirit but things start to happen when she considers burning the dark story.
Krampus had been waiting for Clara, knowing that the magic she has makes her his mate. But can he persuade her to see he is not the evil spirit she'd written about. With the scenes she'd written coming to life around her Clara begins to accept him in her life and I loved seeing them come together. But when her publisher arrives she's pushed to make a choice which might change her world.
Can an ancient Christmas creature convince a Christmas author that she's the mate he's been waiting for and help her to find the magic within her?.

This story fits in so wonderfully with the rest of the Yule Be Mine Monster Romance series. First off, we have an author, the “Queen of Christmas Cheer” who writes sweet, light, Christmas romances, who feels like a fake with each story she writes. What she truly wants to write is something completely different, something dark, passionate. Then she goes to a cabin in the woods in order to finish the latest story she is contracted to write. What she finds in that cabin is nothing she expected. I really loved the contradictions within Noelle between what she wanted to write and what she had to write and how she had to learn to accept who and what she was in order to be complete. This is a story of growth and acceptance and learning not to accept things or people based on appearances only. I really loved this story and cannot recommend it highly enough!
Look, we all know what happened here. I watched ‘Red One’, and when the Krampus came on screen I said to my husband “I can guarantee there are romance books out there about him.” Lo and behold, the ever listening technology in my house threw up adverts on my social media for this book. Curiosity got the best of me and I found I HAD to read this Krampus monster romance 👀🙈😂
So if you are in the mood for a quick, spicy festive monster romance read this will hit the spot. Just don’t look to deep in to it- the world building could have been a lot better as it would randomly through up terms about different “courts” without any actual background. I found this book relied a lot on the reader already having an extensive imagination and knowledge in regard to mythologies/ folklore. And there really wasn’t much clarity on how the magic etc in this world works, it just was 🤷♀️
Clare writes Christmas romance it is her brand and her readers love her for it. She has writers block and is struggling to come up with her next book so goes off to a secluded cabin in the woods to try to write. She is longing to write a darker romance but her editor is totally against it. Clare has written a story about Krampus but in her frustration end up burning the manuscript this causes Krampus to come to life. It is a great winter read with both Clare and Krampus discovering so much about themselves and each other. This is a little different to my normal books but I loved the story and am happy to recommend it.

*Kraved by Krampus* is a thrilling paranormal romance that reimagines the fearsome Krampus as a passionate and ancient figure. Clara, a writer struggling with a creative block, accidentally summons Krampus after burning her manuscript. He claims she is his destined mate, but Clara, feeling ordinary and burdened by darkness, resists.
As Krampus tries to show her the magic within herself, Clara faces pressure from her publisher for lighthearted stories. When she makes a choice that leaves her world colorless, Krampus must help her rediscover her true path.
With a perfect mix of suspense, romance, and magic, *Kraved by Krampus* is a captivating, emotional read that will keep you hooked. Highly recommended for fans of dark romance!

I will NEVER think of Krampus the same again! Growing up we all hear stories. Stories of good and evil...stories to keep us in line and afraid. What if it was all a lie? Does good always have a lovely appearance? Is evil always hard to look upon? Thinking we know the truth and actually knowing it are often two totally different creatures. Clara thinks she knows all about Krampus. He is cold and evil. Or is he? He is a menace to children. Or maybe he isn't. Keeping and open mind is the best way to find truth. Clara is about to learn the truth, not only about Krampus and his true motivations but about herself. Can a holiday legend help Clara discover and accept her true self? Loved this book to the moon and back again!
I recently picked up a holiday fantasy romance featuring none other than Krampus, and I was genuinely excited to dive into it. The blend of festive spirit and a touch of mischief seemed like a unique twist that could spark my imagination. However, despite my openness and eagerness, I found it challenging to get into the story. The plot felt disjointed, and I struggled to connect with the characters. It’s one of those cases where the concept was promising, but the execution just didn’t resonate with me. Sometimes, a book simply doesn’t click, no matter how much we want it to. Perhaps it’s just not the right fit at this time.
Kraved by Krampus is an enjoyable, lighthearted read, but it didn't quite meet my expectations for a holiday-inspired, morally gray romance. The story leans more into the cozy, feel-good vibes of a Hallmark movie (fantasy style) than the darker themes I was hoping for. Krampus, far from being a menacing figure, comes across as a big, lovable golden retriever, which softens his traditionally fearsome persona. While it's a quick and easy read, it lacks the depth I anticipated in terms of character development and moral ambiguity. Still, it's a fun choice for those looking for a sweet, festive escape.
I loved it. It was satisfying in all the right ways. I couldn't put it down. Its a fairly short read so if you're looking for something short and sweet with just the right amount of spice and plot then this is a great read. I love how the story was complex but simple and short at the same time. Clara did get on my nerves here and there but I stayed for Krampus and I'm not disappointed. I gave this book five stars because it was worth it in my opinion. Even if I didn't agree with Claras actions at times. If you want a lightly spicy holiday monster romance then this is the book for you!
Winter Magic “Every Dark Fantasy Come True” – a writer who, unknowingly, spins magic with her books. Until she’s living it. With a dark monster, known through the ages as a bad person, who takes away naughty children. Finding out more about him is also finding out more about herself. In a wonderful tale of dark and light magic and more important: balance between the two. Different and very satisfying, even if it could have been longer to dive more into the characters. Loved it! I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Clara is a writter, who needs a break. Despite feeling drawn to writting darker, sexier romance books, her previously signed deal prevents her from venturing too far off the cheesy/happy Christmas / festive romantic books she's known for.
But after arriving at a remote cabin to spend a few days on her own, she discovers that magic, and a certain dark, broody monster, have other plans for her....
Super cute! Loved the teaching woven into the stories Clara begins to writte.
Clara is a writer named The Queen of Christmas Cheer going by the pen name Noelle Goodheart. She has a deadline to write a new book but is struggling to write the light cheerful ones her publisher wants. She books a cabin and ends up falling into something even more magical. What if the stories you write come to life? Would you run or would you embrace it? What if Krampus showed up saying you were his mate? Clara has powerful magic but was kept in the dark about who she really is. This book is full of magic, balance, and learning to embrace your truth.
So what do you do when you have writer's block? You go to a cabin in the woods and write. Noelle did just that. Only instead of her usual Christmas holiday love romance, she wrote dark desires and love. No more go to a party and find your first love, kiss under the mistle toe and get married. No this was dark romance and trying new things. But her publisher did not want this type of book. Krampus comes into Noelle's life and all of her fantasies comes true. But what does Noelle do?.
