They expected history. They triggered an intergalactic war.
A thousand years ago, a legendary starship vanished. Now, three friends have accidentally found it.
Still reeling from a family tragedy, Casey joins his brother James and best friend Heather on an archaeological dig, hoping for a distraction. Instead, he finds disaster. They unearth the impossible: an ancient starship with mythological abilities. But when Casey accidentally triggers the ship, they are flung across the galaxy—stranded light-years from Earth.
Suddenly lost in a perilous star-scape where every new planet is a threat. To survive, they must navigate a chaotic cosmos and face:
Ruthless Space Pirates hunting for salvage. A Galactic Empire bent on total conquest. Foes wielding elemental magic.
As they unlock the truth about the fabled ship—that its space-folding technology is unequaled by any known civilization—Casey and his friends become the most valuable targets in the galaxy.
The shrewd Galactic Emperor wants the ship’s power, and he will stop at nothing to possess it.
With the fate of multiple civilizations resting on his shoulders, Casey must forge dangerous alliances to save his friends. If he fails, he won't just lose his friends and the only way home, he'll hand the emperor a key advantage to plunge the galaxy into war and mass subjugation.

Book 2 of the Quantum Trek series is being worked on.
My previous self-published books were non-fiction. The first, Everyday Cybersecurity, was written as a Master's degree capstone project and it's written for non-technical users to better understand security practices online and in life.
Earthquake! What, Where, and How to Prepare was the result of my interest in preparedness, earthquakes, and giving several presentations on those topics.
I was lucky to win Hunt for The Fallen Star as a Goodreads giveaway. While this type of novel isn’t typically my vibe, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it! The authors attention to detail had me feeling like I was right there alongside Casey, James, and Heather. I’m definitely looking forward to the rest of the series. Congratulations the author on a great first fiction novel!
An enjoyable read! Lots and lots of action, interesting characters, good pacing and a compelling ending. Also a nice book to be able to recommend to the younger readers in the family.
