I love any kind of snowy, winter story, so this was right up my alley. I loved Kira and Jaxon and couldn’t wait for her to finally give him a chance - although the build up to the big moment is so magical! Wow, can Becca throw a party…
It was so good to go back to Granite Falls, and just knowing that Jaxon is there makes me wish it were a real town even more.
Short enough, very sweet, and an all around perfect Christmas romance! Thank you, Ana!
The story was written with exceptional skill, effortlessly guiding the reader from start to finish. The two characters displayed a captivating chemistry, their expressive interactions making them feel like old friends whose energy resonated with the reader. The narrative provided a delightful opportunity to become acquainted with these compelling characters. ReneeG
Endearing characters, charming locale and an instant attraction worth exploring a more serious relationship. He's a great day with a big heart and made this detour magical. Quick and steady, I wish it was a bit longer. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A quick holiday read that was too short. I could not get a clear picture in my head of what Kira looked like other than her dark brown long wavy hair. I had a good idea of what Sasha looked like. I had a better idea of what Jaxon looked like. Maybe it was me. It seemed to me that there was more detail describing the town than the people.
I liked the story, but just as I felt that I was invested in Jaxon and Kira's relationship and possible future, the book ended. I would give this 3.5 stars.

Good quick Christmas read . The story of Jaxon and Kira sweet but I would have loved to see it develop more. Of the Granite Falls stories this one not my favorite but a good way to pass the time.

Kira is a romance writer, driving to Quebec to spend Christmas with her family. However, a snowstorm makes her stop at Granite Falls. Jaxon owns Cozy Pine, a B&B, which is the only place with available rooms to stay during the storm. This is a sweet and happy story about a woman taking a chance at love. The holidays are always the best setting for a sweet romance. Great trip back to Granite Falls to meet up with the residents. The romance developed nicely and had me rooting for a happy ending.

This is A Granite Falls Christmas Special and it is Kira and Jaxon’s story. Kira is a best selling author and while on her way home to her parents house for Christmas she is caught in a severe blizzard and needs to stay overnight until the weather calms down and that is how she ends up staying at the Cozy Pine B& B in Granite Falls but what she didn’t know is that this detour would completely change her life. Jaxon is a single dad to his daughter who was his world after his wife Stevie died so now he runs the B&B which was his and Stevie’s dream and even though at times his life was difficult and busy he had a lot of support from family and friends while making a good life for him and his daughter. When Kira and Jaxon meet there is definitely a attraction and chemistry between them and the more time that they spend together the stronger it grows but Kira is only there for a short time and is what they are feeling just a touch of Christmas Magic or is it something deeper that could eventually become a future between them. This was a beautiful and magical short Christmas story that pulled you in right from the first page and kept your attention until the last one and I definitely recommend you read it and you will not be disappointed and I look forward to reading more books in the future.
Her Christmas Detour is a contemporary romance that brings it’s MFC romance author Kira Lévesque an unexpected adventure when she has to detour to Granite Falls, New Hampshire while on her way home to Quebec during a blizzard. With everything booked in town she gets lucky when a last minute cancellation gets her a room at the Cozy Pine Bed and Breakfast where she meets single dad and widower MMC Jaxon Detour. There is a definite hint of chemistry in the air! I enjoyed this delightfully written novella with it’s romance, family dynamics, and the magic of the holiday season. With the roads still in bad shape Kira may have to stay longer. Perfect time for that magic to start working…well it’s magic. Good entertaining read. HEA.

Christmas is my favorite time of year and there’s nothing better than reading a good Christmas love story. This novella was wonderful and takes place in my favorite fictional town of Granite Falls. The characters were endearing and very likable. I enjoyed the instant attraction between Kira and Jaxon. Jaxon certainly made her Christmas detour magical. My only complaint is that the story was too short. I hope Ms. Ross writes a follow-up story about this couple to see how things progress with them, and it would be lovely to see more interaction with Kira and Phoebe.
This was a very sweet Christmas story. Kira was on her way to Quebec to spend Christmas with her family when a snowstorm stopped her in Granite Falls. She ended up at a B & B with Jaxon as the host. They hit it off right away and did a few things together. She stayed an extra day and there was almost some romance happening, but not quite. She went on home but stopped back on her way home. Jaxon saw her and invited her to stay with him for awhile. A very sweet HEA.

Kira is a romance author who needs to find a place to wait out the snowstorm falling around her. It leads her to Granite Falls and to Jaxon a single dad running a bed and breakfast. Sparks fly between them right from the start only building between them as the day's past. Has Kira finally found the man that will give her the happiness she deserves. This heartfelt story kept me glued to the pages and cheering on Jaxon and Kira.

A sweet and heartwarming Christmas story! I really enjoyed reading Jaxon and Kira's story. I just wished it was longer, and some steamy scenes would have made it even better. There was definitely chemistry between Jaxon and Kira. This is the first book I have read by Ana E. Ross, and I will be checking out more of her books.
When a snowstorm strands romance author Kira at Jaxon’s inn on her way to her family’s for Christmas she doesn’t expect to fall for the widowed single dad and his precocious little daughter. His family and friends were funny and I loved their holiday traditions. This was a kisses only happy for now holiday romance.
Her Christmas Detour takes you back to Granite Falls where my readers first fell in love with Eric and Michelle and the rest of the Fabulous Four and their fabulous wives. It is the perfect, sweet, cozy winter romance to warm you up and spark passion in your hearts. I hope you love it. Happy reading!
