I did not finish this book. Although the title mentions "Astrology", it is more on the "cosmology". And although I am also very interested in cosmology, this book is very summarative on the different cosmologies.
Especially if you buy this for astrology: get some other book.

This is a very dense book on a needed subject. My sole regret is that there is no Slavic cosmology included in the book, but it's not really a surprise since the Slavic lands are consistently overlooked. The author does a good job of giving a good overview of the cultures of other areas, however. He also includes other major books on the topic for further reading.

Although broadly panoramic, this book is perhaps the best introduction to the subject.
In a little over 200 pages, it offers the philosophical, religious, and sociological foundations of the topic, covering the seven continents.
