I found a couple naughtier than West and Blair from the previous book in this series! Joe and Alexis are hot with a capital H! Lust at first sight starts this couple going....and going and going. I loved reading about another musician from the band, Affliction. More tattoos, muscles and half grins. What's not to love?
Joe "looked like a model from one of those hot fireman calendars..." So if you can handle that kind of stuff, read this book! Dubbed Mr. November by Alexis Storm (Plain Jane erotic romance novelist), Joe has met his match. Although Alexis was not the strongest female character this author has written, she seemed real. Although she is a lot hotter than me beneath the sheets! ;)

I fell in love with Joe Fox, the level headed bass player from Affliction.
Joe first sees Alexis in the waiting lounge at the airport, waiting for his flight to Melbourne, Australia. He is hooked on her from first sight. When he discovers he is to sit next to her for the whole flight he comes up with a proposition, one night together in Hong Kong, to get her out of his system. Little did he know that the plan would backfire big time.
Alexis is an erotic romance writer with ghosts in her past but takes up the proposition for one night of hot wild sex, knowing that once back in Melbourne she could return to her normal existence, or could she?
Another amazing read from Amity Cross.

I must say that the weather in this part of the world has been with rainy weather and some cold, but nothing that helps a book to raise the hot weather, a little warmer. When this story came to my uhmm virtual hands, I was excited and not really knew what to expect on the story, but knowing the writing and style of Amity knew it would be a satin sweet candy .
And It was well as, I did not disappoint, in contrast, the level had risen, the story is hot, and it was a way of feeling, mystery, laughter and time really intense, the book is easy and you can finish it in one day, I take two days to enjoy it and if I could describe the way I was was a bit like type Red Ketchup sauce .
The story is about Joe Fox (* insert here the red ketchup and recurrent thoughts) the West’ best friend , of The Unexpected Trilogy, and this book begins after the events of the trilogy, so if you have not read The Unexpected Trilogy I recommend you do it or you’ll have some spoilers along the way, Joe has its weaknesses and strengths but nothing out of the ordinary in his lifestyle, he has followed the game to be a rock star, women, fame and fortune, but not romance. Alexis will be the girl who came into his life like a hurricane or rather a storm, and where the meaning of the phrase: “Live the fantasy for as long as we can”, will be at stake, not just for Joe, Alexis represents maybe that phrase.
Love the characters, each was well defined and could clearly picture them in my head, but more to Joe …. ok here is where applies of the boyfriend book ? or something?, in this series He is definitely my favorite, and Alexis, I loved it, she is out of the world of music, had a more interesting job, In a personal point I identify with her and She was full of surprises. Its evolution was gradual and proportionate.
I could not stop saying Oh Wowo Wou!, Wait a minute .., WT **, and believe me I had fun, there is a part of the book that gives a good use markers of the certain trademark, and if you want know why I laughed and also insert the ketchup red my face in the middle of waiting for a concert and why November is a sexy and perfect month, You definitely have to read this story. Perhaps the end I felt a bit fast, but only that, the story is fresh, unique and with this hot style that is needed to tell a story erotica.
P, S: The books do not end here, two deliveries expected in July complementary novellas, different characters, new stories.

Although I really loved this book, but I didn't like it as much as the first three books. But the main characters in this book are amazing, just like the characters in the first book. I really connected with both main characters because they each had characteristics that match mine! I really loved the story and can't wait to read the next book in this series.
Joe Fox is the bass player of the popular rock 'n' roll band, Affliction. He always finds himself helping others in his band, being the calm in the storm, but others can't see that he struggles with problems of his own. Feeling unseen and unwanted he goes on a plane and meets Alexis. A beautiful girl who makes him feel things that he's never felt before. Before he knows it, he's spending an unforgettable night with her in Hong-Kong, no strings attached.
It isn't until the morning after, when they're parting ways, that he realizes that Alexis is his one. She's the girl he never wants to be without. But Alexis doesn't want a relationship. Correction: she doesn't believe she deserves a relationship and to have someone care about her. After a traumatic experience in the past leaves her scarred, both physically and mentally, Alexis runs from Joe's advances, but the playboy she think she knows doesn't let her get really far. Joe wants her. She wants him. It's only a matter of time before both of the give in and find love together.
I really enjoyed this book's story-line, although, I wish that the book was longer! I wanted to read more about Alexis' and Joe's story because I started to really love their characters. How cool is it having the main character being a bestselling author? And the leading man is a hot bass player who knows what he wants and isn't afraid of his feelings.
I recommend this book to everyone!

Another 5 stars in this series of Affliction. Mick & Sasha's story was another great love story. It was nice to see Sasha as such a strong person but yet kept guarding her heart for over 3 years. It seemed to take Mick forever to realize that Sasha had feelings for him but then it had to be the right time for him in order for this to work. (even though he almost blew it)You did feel it when Sasha was "thrown out" & then "replaced". I think my heart hurt right along with her's.
I can't wait to read the next in this series. I would hope that possibly the author might go down the road again with all the characters from Affliction since we only got to really see them as they found their loves. It would be nice to see what happens when they are on the road again.

Joe, bass guitarist of Affliction and West's best friend. Always the calm one and the one who is always there for the band, and especially for West and Blair. Well the bands on break and have all gone there separate ways. Who is going to fill the void for Joe?
Alexis is a writer with issues of her own. Life has cut her to the quick and she believes her writing is all she has. Instant attraction is scary and hot. Joe and Alexis strike a deal of mutual satisfaction. Joe will have to give his all to keep Alexis in his life, but maybe life has taught him all he needs to win.

Joe is a fox! The dynamic between him and Alexis is full of wit and heat. I really love Amity's way with words and this one is my favourite of the series so far. I loved Joe's determination - the way he persisted with Alexis was heartwarming. Because from the moment he saw her he knew...

Romance author meets rock star in a chance meeting on a long flight.
The way he makes her feel that instant connection, the things she writes about is happening and Alexis struggles with her writing and reality. Does this shit in the books really happen. This is a journey of finding out, healing and lots of sex along the way.

Love that we got a story for Joe! He is hot in this book! We also get a better look into his life and how all the things that happened in the first 3 books has affected him! He has his own issues to deal with. Alexis is perfect for him! She has her own demons, that really are hard to even think about, but you know you can't move on unless you talk about it. Love how the book ended as well!

Loved Joe... But, i was left a little disappointed with this one. Maybe i was just so looking forward to reading about Joe, and i had too high a hope for this one? I still thought it was a good read, not sure why it left me feeling a little let down. The chemistry between the couple was amazing as usual. 3.5 - 4 stars.

Best part, the stunner is in the seat next to him. I really loved how he gets to her, he just refuses to take no for an answer. This story is sweet and hot. I recommend it and can’t wait to read book five.

plausible ... likeable....had all the ingredients to make great characters...I'd like to see more from these 2, but bring out her dual personas...the writer is far more interesting than the character she plays and Joe can see that.

I think seeing West and Blair getting a HEA makes Joe start to think that maybe he could have more, that special person. He does come across as a softer character than west, more the romantic than heavy rocker.
Obviously the course of true love never runs smooth especially when you meet a troubled girl like Alexis, who just keeps pushing you away!
A complete story told by the mistress of short stories, that are actually worth reading, Amity Cross.

I'm so pleasantly surprised at this series. And I certainly didn't think any other band members from auction would float my boat more than west. But come on Joe is awesome!!
When I got the first book in the series for free I didn't think id like it enough to buy the rest of the series. But hell was I wrong. Can't wait to read sasha's story next!!

I love this series, this book was no exception. Joe finally has some time away from the band, on his way home he meets the beautiful Alexis. A flight together leads to a wild night, Alexis isn't all she appears and leaves the airport without a backward glance. Will Joe be able to forget about her and will Alexis be able to get over the traumas of her past?

This is Joe and Alexis' story. I really like how this story started. The first meeting on the plane was great and so was the night in Hong Kong. I felt that the story was rushed though. I would have really loved to have more from these two.
