At Regents University, the games are no longer just cruel, they’re deadly. The rules are the only thing keeping me from being dragged into the darkest corners of the Trivium Elite.
But as dangerous secrets surface the lines between predator and protector blur, and freedom comes at a devastating price.
And that price might be my last breath.

Covenant of Ruin is the second instalment in the Regents of Covenant House series by Aisling Elizabeth. A Dark University Bully Romance. I advise you check your trigger warnings. This series has dark themes. Reader discretion is advised.
This book ticks all the boxes for me. I loved how the character development progressed and the dynamics shifted. A brilliantly executed narrative and cleverly devised plot line that will keep you on the edge of your seats for the entire read/listen.
We continue where we left off in book 1 (Covenant of Lies) we have all the players. Cole, Ryder and Logan all dealing with their respective roles, traversing the complexities of the Trivium, the expectations of Fathers and the feelings that they can no longer deny!
Cadence's role as Consort is beyond reproach. She is performing her duties to the letter and driving the boys crazy while she does so.
The narrative takes unexpected twists as the plot develops and it’s absolutely brilliant. I am here for it! A perfectly balanced storyline that has all the bells and whistles of a well crafted story.
Packed full of brilliant character development and witty banter. Lies, betrayal and uncovered secrets. Hot steamy scenes with feelings and beautiful emotional depth. All brought to life by our truly wonderful and superbly talented voice actors.
Lucy Rivers embodies Cadence perfectly with her incredible performance. Giving this traumatised young woman all the emotional depth she deserves. You can feel her pain, her uncertainty, her anger and love. A sublime performance. As well as the additional characters that she voices throughout this book… truly outstanding.
Matthew Sharpe is absolutely incredible in his role of Logan, Cole and Ryder. He voices these characters with delicate, subtle differences. Exuding wonderful emotional depth and energy. As well as all the secondary characters… An absolute legend! Purely magical.
Overall a spectacular performance which brings these beautifully crafted characters to life and into your hearts. I am obsessed with these beautifully dark and damaged characters! I cannot wait for book 3.
A must listen… and read!

Quotes:
"I fell for them. I trusted them. I loved them. And in turn they ruined me."
Three fucking weeks, and it was driving me insane.
"Do you think we wanted to do it?" "Do you think I wanted to hurt her, to make her cry?"
"you can't deny that she still seems to be causing quite a bit of.. distraction among your ranks."
"Our house is in perfect order," I stated firmly, though I could feel Ryder's agitation increasing beside me. "Any internal matters are being handled appropriately."
"You smell divine," "So responsive, even after all this time."
"Just reminding everyone who you belong to, Poison."
"Don't push my limits any more than you already are; you will not like the results."
"Do you really think that I don't see what you are doing?" "You've been trying to manipulate us since that first day you forced that fucking rule into the contract."
"I hate you," "No, you don't," "You hate that you want us. You hate that even after everything we have done to you, your body still craves our touch."
“Just give in and let us show you how amazing we can make you feel."
AAAAAAAA IM NOT SCREAMING YOU'RE SCREAMING!!!! OK maybe I'm screaming. I am. I'm screaming!!!
I really enjoyed book one in this series when I read it, although it hit a lot harder in more aggressive ways than the typical bully romance I was used to. The first book was insanely vial towards our FMC overall and at its close I remember thinking, "There are no redeeming qualities of these guys." They truly were torchering her for absolutely no real reason other than their own selfish egos. It was a wild and intense read. It left on a cliff hanger and I was excited to get into book two.
Cadance is continuing to navigate being forced into the Covenant House Consort role after documents were forged in her name and blackmail against her grandparents was set on the table to control her, all while she is still trying desperately to discover what happened to her mother who seemed to abandone her at five and disappear with no trace. Although she is establishing some deeper friendships with Luce, A Regents cousin, and some of the other courts girls, she truly is alone in so much of her confusion of existence and anxiety in dealing with the pressures of the three men who own her. Still holding out in her duties of Consort, she's found a way to protect her body from the men her contract tells her she must service on demand, she is now facing off with them as they start to play with her emotions even more trying to get her to break so they finally own her fully. After the intense punishment they put on her at the close of book one, she is so turned off by their behaviors that it seems like they will never be able to get her to agree to give them a chance and her constant worry or their manipulation to get what they want has her questioning everything. But is it all still just manipulation? As true feelings begin to rise to the surface, the deeper the secrets are brought with them.
Our girl starts being put in situations that give her new insight into the true natures of the men she desperately hates and as things progress she is starting to ask herself, "Does she really hate them?" As each man realizes that they are becoming more tied to their Consorts soul as much as working day and night to protect her against evil forced amongst their own secret society that they are starting to realize has more darkness than even they are aware of and no one truly on their side. As gauntlets are laid amongst their higher leaders in attempts on Cadance life and well being, the men are brought to the understanding that their Consort means much more to them than a traditional roll and start working towards earning more from her than she ever wanted to give.
Cadance realizes that there is more to the Regents than the evils they have shown, and new emotions are laid bare as she has her boundaries challenged and one by one the guys start making their way in to not only her bed but her heart. High anxiety fuels the halls of Covenant House as the men realize that the closer they all become and more connected they ultimately are, the more power they have in their society and in their abilities to protect Cadance from unseen evils that are knocking on their door left and right. Including from her own flesh and blood when the deepest of secrets is at their throat.
Cadance tries to navigate her focus on learning about who her mother is and where she went, making ties to cloaked evils that ultimately end her up in a horrific place once again when she is caught up in a set up to once and for all end the new binds she has established in true connection with her Regents that lands her in yet another gut wrenching punishment at the close of book two that sets the first one to shame. I was reading so fast thr words started to blur. More pain and devastation is forced on our girl and once again she is placed unfairly before her Regents to be put to another test she so unfairly is thrown into and your heart breaks for her.
As unforgivable actions commence and all established trust is broken in the most gut wrenching ways, she is forced into a choice to one again sacrifice herself for someone she truly cares for and is left an empty shell before we are left hanging at the end with a high suspense cliff hanger and unless questions that lie ahead.
I love this series!! The characters. The twists and turns. The shocking darkness and plotlines. THE SPICE!! It very much has the vibes of everything mixed together well like the Lords series that have me begging for more. And more is exactly where I'm going as I dive head first into book 3!!!!
“My Headphone ran hot after finishing this intensly intriguing audiobook…fast paced well written and amazingly performed by two masterful narrators you’ll want in your ears, while AISLING Elizabeth leads us into a world of secret society, shocking revelations and betrayal in this one,all with a on the edge of your seat cliffhanger!
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW ALC🎧
Covenant of Ruin : A Dark University Bully Romance (Tri-Rule, Book 1) Book 1 of 3: Regents of Covenant House Author: Aisling Elizabeth Narrator: Lucy Rivers & Matthew Sharpe Blue Nose Audio Production.
Story: 5⭐️ Performance: 10/10 🎧🎤📚 Spice: 3🌶️
Logan, Ryder, Cole and Cadence story
💭 The story picked up where it left off.. as Cade struggled to find her way out of the contract while trying to endure the amendment to the rule she broke. While trying to be the dutiful Consort with a clause that would not allow the guys to touch her, It’s one that was wearing thin.. but a lot more hinges on her not relenting to the guys aparent punishment.
💀 But what Cade doesn’t know is that the guys are struggling on another level.. her disobedience is making them look bad.. it’s something the guys don’t want.. the punishment they had to let played out was something they didn’t wanted. But still…Cadence continues to be stubborn, her defiance, the continuing resistance, it could cost not just the guys.. but also her. And she is so oblivious to the danger her actions are causing.
Meanwhile Cadence is putting her trust into allies who might be foe as she is still receiving threatening letters…(which she didn’t tell the guys about) But after an incident one night, things begone to change, this as the guys started to piece together bits and pieces before and after the attack.
Jesussss…..the Revelation about Cadence origins is astonishing.. all this shed light on Cole who has suffered horrific trauma at a young age and his ties to the guys.. and also to Cadence as well….but the Kicker is, there’s something nefarious about why Cadence is being targeted.. and why the guys are willing to burn everything down just to protect her, If it’s even from herself, as she continues to be defiant at every turn.
But Oh Lord … Cole! The scene with Cole and Cade .. oh my heart.. His permission. Sighhhh.
💀 Oohhh the Twists, the plot, the Revelation And the betrayal. This girl has me going crazy.. shouting out “you’re in danger girl” and “what the hell” to sadness and for everything that transpired after the utter betrayal. What happened next fractured the guys and Cade apart.
✨ How could I love the hands that welded the whip? ✨
But Listennnnn 🎧 Lucy Rivers is truly the queen of dark romance narration. .. as she brilliantly brings out the character Cadence Turner emotions in a very unique believable manner, and Mathew Sharpe…? whew so hot. The way he plays each male protagonist and side characters is mind boggling, he was so yummy listening to him narrating every single scene.
💭 This is not one to miss.. if you listen it’s perfection and fits right in time for the spooky season or not. But make sure to grab the first installment and get this one .. you won’t be disappointed! Now I can’t wait to listen what’s coming next!!!
Definitely worth listening!

Covenant of Ruin is the second audiobook in Aisling Elizabeth’s incredibly addictive Regents of Covenant House series. This secret society, academic, dark, bully romance is one fantastically wild ride! And I am all the way here for it! In fact, I am proper obsessed at this point. So, check your triggers, then strap in for the ride of your life! This audiobook picks up right where the first book ended on a mild cliffhanger. And from there, this story is a non-stop rollercoaster of spice, emotions, and pure chaos. So many revelations are revealed in this second book… about Cade and about the boys. And her connection to Cole in particular is as astounding as it is heartbreaking. Their scenes together will warm your heart and rip it out of your chest at the same time. This truly might be my favorite bully romance ever! The ending had me literally screaming at my iPad as the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers played out in my ears. Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe are both absolutely outstanding in their performances! And at this point, I have to keep reminding myself that Lucy Rivers is not actually British. She and Matthew Sharpe bring this story to life so beautifully with their duet-style narration that you can’t help but be completely drawn in and hang on every word of their impassioned performances. I will be anxiously awaiting the next audiobook in this series!
Covenant of Ruin by Aisling Elizabeth is a dark bully romance with a secret society. Please check your trigger warnings! If you think book 1 was a crazy ride then look out because book 2 has raised the bar even higher. The strong emotions and tension among the four characters was like a ticking time b*mb. Cadence’s character development showed so much growth. She is a total bad*ss through and through. When she makes her mind up she’s a tough cookie to crack. Her quick wit with the boys was hilarious. Then you have the boys, Ryder, Cole, and Logan who still remain ruthless, but secretly they are breaking on the inside. They can’t help that Cadence is an addiction they can’t step away from. The spice among the four was definitely satisfying! I’m really looking forward to book 3 because dang it book 2 left us on a cliffhanger that was a doozy! The narrators for this story were Lucy Rivers and Mathew Sharpe, boy they did not disappoint. These two are definitely a powerful dynamic duo. Lucy and Mathew narrated their characters with such ease! Thank you Blue Nose Audio and Aisling Elizabeth for this ALC opportunity.

"I fell for them. I trusted them. I loved them. And in turn they ruined me."
♡I thought book 1 was a wild time, and Aisling said, "Bet," then wrote this, and my jaw hit the floor! Just when you think this messed-up world & even crazier dynamic can't possibly get worse, it 100% does. I'm over here trying to recover from the whiplash I just went through while also begging for the next book! I have such a love-hate relationship with every single one of these characters. My head is in a fight with my heart at the moment!
The duet narration for this audiobook was phenomenal! Lucy once again did an amazing job bringing Cade, our FMC, to life! Matthew also did an amazing job bringing our 3 MMCs to life & differentiated between the 3 of them perfectly!
If you love dark university bully romances, secret societies, & twists that leave your jaw on the floor, look no further. ♡
First i want to say thank you for Aisling and Blue Nose Audio for sending me the Advanced listening copy, listening to the book while reading the words gives you a whole new experience.
Please check the extensive list of trigger warnings, it is a dark romance afterall
This book played with all of my emotions, Book one had me on the floor, book two had me gobsmacked, what will book three do to me!, if you thought book one was traumatic, i have no idea what you will think book two is!
Cade continues her batlle of whits throughout this book, so many things happened, love, betrayals, questions answered, more questions unanswered!
Lucy and Matthew did such an amazing job, how can i love some characters and so much distain for others, when i know its the same narrators, fantastic.
The ending was a cliffhanger in its self BUT can we talk about the emotional STRESS I was put through. 😂 Firstly, Julia. What a (insert any inappropriate offensive word here), then Damien who I have politely but not so politely nicknamed worm…the anger. 😂 My poor poor Ryder baby urgh he broke my black frozen heart into a thousand pieces but I’m HOPING life is kinder to him in the next books 😏😂
All in all I’m obsessed and may be soon sending Aisling the therapy bill when I’m done with these. She will break your heart fix it make you calm then make you overly stressed again to the point of pure rage.

ALC Review Duet Narration by Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe
Enemies to lovers, dark academia, bully romance, secret society
Covenant of Ruins picks up right where book 1 left us. I did find myself enjoying this book more than book 1, and it gave a rollercoaster ride throughout. Lots of twists weaved within the storyline with Cade, Logan, Cole, and Ryder.
Narration by Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe was well done. Lucy portrayed Cade perfectly and Matthew Sharpe shines giving voice to the 3 male characters.
Have you ever read a book that leaves you crying with both hurt and anger, but you also love that book? Well, if not and you want that then jump right in. We see Cade take strides into trying to manage the guys, when in actual fact they have their own way in dealing with her. This book has darker themes then book one so please check your tw. But if you're like me and see them as a recipe, jump right in.
This is a review for an ALC of book 2 of the regents series.
I thought reading book 2 made me leak from both my eyes and from a different part of my body but apparently LISTENING to it was a whole different ball game! I needed my tissues close but my BOB closer, iykyk.
The characters and the tension between them was thicker than book 1 and the ending was the WORST CLIFF HANGER EVER! I need book 3 IMMEDIATELY!
Holy hell. What. I need book 3. This book had my head spinning, emotions in uproar and rage that has me cursing beyond belief. My heart has broken throughout several scenes and Cade I absolutely love. I need book 3 that ending was 🤯🤯🤯. I need a stiff drink and a quiet room to stare at a wall for a few hours 😂😂😂 highly recommend but definitely check your triggers
Another cliffhanger that has my heart pounding out of my chest! I need book three yesterday!
Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe were both spectacular in handling the high emotions needed throughout this book. Our MCs all went through A LOT in this book, and Lucy and Matthew’s performances matched the intensity of all those feelings so perfectly.
