Jakob Being a super genius should make life a sleigh ride, not a snowstorm. Jakob’s entire life has been defined by his oversized brain. When he finally breaks out of the ivory tower he’s been kept in, Jakob has plans to do all the things he’s been told are beneath his intellect. Step one? Deck the halls with his very first Christmas tree. He doesn’t expect to meet his future Daddy on the side of the road, but there’s no arguing with the magic of the holidays.
Reed Being an ER doctor is an all-consuming profession, especially during the holiday rush. Finding a little takes time, and that’s something Reed has in short supply. He’s used to patching broken bones, not hearts, and the idea of Christmas magic seemed like a fairy tale. But when Jakob crashes into him—quite literally—and somehow jingles his way into Reed's home and heart, it feels like maybe Jakob is right about being wrecked for the holidays.
This Daddy/little story includes a dash of glitter, visits with Santa, wrapping paper shenanigans, a boy who was never allowed to be one, and a Daddy who’s been wishing for a boy of his very own.
Reed and Jakob are an established couple in the Just a Little series and Almstead Newcomers Club. This is their meet-cute.
So first thank you to the author for an advanced copy.
Sometimes especially when I get arcs directly from authors I feel a little bit more pressure to give positive reviews and for the most part I usually do because when I get arcs directly from authors they are things I have gone out of my way to request and/or be a part of like a book tour or author's reviewer group etc. Unfortunately this might be one of the first of this situation where my review isn't super positive and I'm feeling a little guilty about it.
This book isn't bad. It really isn't. For me it falls very much middle of the road. The other two books that I've read by the author were much stronger. The couple that is in this book is featured in those other two books and I think it ruined it a bit for me. I expected there to be a bit more community and a bit more of that friendship dynamic that we see in those other books and it's not here at all. There is nothing beyond the relationship between the two guys. There is hardly any sort of family dynamic or discussion about work or coworkers or friendships or family members etc.
So I actually thought I finished this book and then realized I had like a hundred more pages to go. I don't even know how that happens. Perhaps it's because I already knew what this couple's story entailed based on their presence in past books but I just wasn't interested. I was bored so so bored.
So I suppose if you're looking for something very lighthearted and you haven't read the author's other books, you'll probably like this. It's not bad but it wasn't good either for me. I think that had I not already been introduced to these characters as fairly well described characters in past books, I may have been more open to their relationship and their dynamic but there was hardly anything new given to their relationship or their characters that wasn't already told in other books. Like that's sad.
I don't know I probably harping too much on it and I really still have higher hopes for this authors future books and other books but this one just didn't quite work for me
This one is hard to rate I liked the meet-cute and how both seemed perfectly right for each other. The Christmas setting and working on Jakobs Christmas to-do list was heartwarming and I loved how 'Papa' gave his little everything. I'm on the fence about sex during little space. I felt awkward. They also go from zero to full committed in no time at all and the ILYs were thrown around rather quickly.

I want to thank the author for this book she gifted me to review. It was a cute meet story of two sweet guys. Jakob and Reed were perfect for each other. There were many sprinkled hot sexy scenes. Which was fabulous. I would have liked more of Jakobs older brothers. Did they reach out again or was that it for their relationship? The epilogue was perfectly done.
What did I think? is the Goodreads question. I think that the Daddy/boy narrative in this book ran out of steam, at least for me. Their relationship didn't hold my interest. I don't mind the by the numbers D/l or D/b story, but there has to be a spark of something that makes it different in some way. These were nice characters, but it was a DNF for me.
Jakob has had a very sheltered life. His parents wanted him to use his amazing brain, rather than have fun. Being a genius and under control of his parents, Jakob moves into a motel for a while. All he wants is to have a Christmas tree, having never had one. On his way to buy a tree, he rear ends a truck.
The driver of the truck, Reed is an ER doctor. After he is hit in his car, he gets out and wants yo make sure the driver is ok.
Jakob goes to the ER where Reed works, and he also works in the labs, but they have never crossed paths. Reed is off duty but goes to check on Jakob. Jakob’s parents turn up and air their disgust that a genius can crash a car, and cannot be trusted on his own at a motel. Hearing this, Reed offers his spare room for Jakob to stay in.
What Reed really wants in life is to find a ‘little’ to care for. Can Reed be the ‘daddy’ Jakob is after?
Wrecked for the Holidays by Kerry Kilpatrick is a short story that is part of the multi-author series Home for the Holidays. If you like a ‘daddy/little’ dynamic, this is for you.
Jakob rear ends Reed's car in a moment of inattention and his whole life begins to change.
Poor Jakob has never been allowed to do anything that doesn't involve using his big brain. No fun or frivolity at all. He's been isolated and insulated from everything except learning
This is a sweet Daddy/Little Christmas insta love story. It's mostly sweet and fun but also a little sad at times when Jacob discussed his past.
so this felt like a story that wanted to be more but was missing something important I couldn't figure out. it was okay. sweet. but I felt incomplete. I skipped some parts, skimmed some spicy scenes...both of which isn't a good sign.
Reed was a good papa and Jakob just wanted to be a little.
for a novella it wasn't bad but I don't think I'll read more from this author just because I don't mesh with their writing. and that's okay, y'all!
Jakob has my whole heart. He is the sweetest, most precious (and precocious) boy ever. Reed was exactly the Daddy, or in this case Papa, that Jakob needed. This instalove story is incredibly sweet, and spicy, and perfect for the holidays. Now I need to read Beckett’s story and see what’s up with him!
I was really into this when the book first started and as it went on I slowly started to like it less. I’m not here to kink shame or yuck anyone’s yum but the daddy/little with age play didn’t do it for me unfortunately. This is not a bad book and for anyone that likes age play you’ll love it but I think I just prefer daddy books without age play 🤷🏻♂️
Wrecked for the Holidays is part of multi author Home for the Holidays series. Each book can be read as a standalone but why not enjoy the rest of the series. This is Jakob and Reed's story. You may have met these two in the Just a Little series and Almstead Newcomers Club. I love the Daddy/little kink so much and Kerry does it so well. These two are just so cute and perfect together. This was a cute fun story for the holidays. I would definitely recommend this book.
Wrecked for the Holidays by Kerry Kilpatrick is part of the Home for the Holidays series by various authors. It is the sweet story of a Boy genius who was kept under his parents’ thumb all of his life until escaping and running into the Daddy who would make his dreams come true. Jacob Winslow had left his parent’ home two weeks before this story starts. He had a genius level IQ and worked in the local hospital’s research lab but had never experienced life because his parents thought anything that wasn’t school or research related was a waste of his genius and his time and he shouldn’t be doing anything silly. It was Christmas time so he wanted to do everything he had never gotten to do and had a list that he was checking off. When he went to get a Christmas tree for his motel room where he was staying he ran into the back of Reed Matthews’ truck and the air bag going off hurt his hand. Reed was a doctor at the hospital and checked up on him in the ER. Jakob’s parents had shown up and wanted him to give up his silly experiment of living away from them when Reed said Jakob was his new roommate. Reed was very attracted to Jakob as he was a Daddy and suspected that Jakob was a boy so when he was released he took him home with him and invited him to stay for real. Jakob was also interested to Reed and wanted to see what would happen if they stayed together. The relationship started with Reed cooking dinner and asking Jakob if he would like a sippy cup in an attempt to find out if he was a Boy. Jakob had always wanted a Papa and Reed was exactly what he wanted for Christmas. They looked at his Christmas plan book and Reed said he would help him check things off his list and they watched a movie and had hot chocolate. The Jakob admitted that he was a Little so they went on some adventures including getting a Christmas tree, petting reindeer, going to a shop that sells naughty toys, and shopping for more Little things which leads to Reed setting some rules for Jakob that he really needed. They also have some hot love scenes along the way which is a first for Jakob. Reed lets him fully revert which made him feel treasured and loved. They become the center of each other’s world and say, “I love you”, which leads them to their happily ever after. I really enjoyed this story as Daddy/Boy books are my favorite. Jakob had quite the childhood and was experiencing so many firsts and Reed was right there to help him find the happiness he wanted. Reed was a great Papa and knew just what Jakob needed whether it was cuddling or consequences for what he did. I also found it very funny that Jakob blurted out what he was thinking all the time even though he thought he was just thinking it. That led to some interesting happenings. I highly recommend this book, especially if you like sweet stories about a Boy experiencing life by himself for the first time and the Daddy who helps him experience everything, especially all the fun of Christmas, and this leads them to love.
I totally enjoyed this Daddy/little holiday story! It was fun to read and was so sweet and easy to digest that I devoured the whole book in one day. The author is new to me but the theme is not. I generally love a sweet little, especially one who’s so in need of a strong Daddy to take charge.
In this story readers meet Jakob, a twentysomething genius who has never been allowed to do anything more than study. His parents have never had a Christmas tree, never treated him to presents or stockings or any of the holiday trappings. His life has been study, study, study, and now he has broken away and is determined to live independently and do his own thing. To that end, he’s excited to have bought his own Christmas tree, Unfortunately, on the way home with it, he has just rear-ended another vehicle. Oh-oh. But fear not, good things come in unexpected packages. The man whose car he hits, Reed, is not only a doctor, but is also a Daddy who happens to be wishing for a little of his own. Reed finds the sweet man wearing a reindeer onesie to be adorable and things take off from there. Great meet-cute!
I enjoyed the dialogue between the two, and their flirting and then relationship-building led to a new dynamic between them. Neither fit the typical stereotype, and the icing on the cake of this relationship is that Jakob calls Reed “Papa” instead of Daddy. I had heart-eyes. The term fit them perfectly. Of note, Jakob’s parents had a brief role of overcrowding him and being obnoxiously controlling, but, thankfully, the author did not continue to have the mother hounding him throughout the story. There’s not much I hate worse than that, so I’m grateful it didn’t happen here.
From their meet-cute to their shopping trip for “little” clothes and toys to their more adult activities and Jakob’s conclusion that they belonged together forever, I truly loved everything about this story. Add to that the holiday spirit, and it makes the story one I can highly recommend to lovers of MM romance, especially to those who share my enjoyment of Daddy/little love.

Note: a copy of the ARC was provide through Gay Romance Reviews (GRR). This review is my honest opinion.
When Jakob runs into Reed’s car, he sets things in motion to get so many things checked off of his Christmas and Life Lists. Genius Jakob has never had a Christmas tree nor seen Santa. His parents had him focused on developing his brain, not frivolous or distracting things. When he runs into Reed, literally, his life changes in amazing ways. Jakob has known he is a little, but has never had a chance to explore that side of himself. Lucky for him, Reed is a Daddy without a boy, and Jakob is definitely on board to accept Reed as his Papa, including all the new experiences that can involve. He has been so sheltered and directed his whole life, the freedom he has to explore his little side and all the other parts of life he has had no experience with (yes, that too😄) sends him into giggles and wiggles and happy dances, making Reed’s heart swell just watching and being around him. The joy he expresses in new experiences, like visiting a big toy store or decorating his first Christmas tree, just kept me smiling the whole way through the book. Jakob is a captivating, memorable character, and the gentleness and intuitiveness Reed shows him, makes these two perfect for each other. The author’s blurb doesn’t tell where she lives, but based on the story setting, she is at least familiar with my stomping grounds, the Seattle, Washington area and surrounds, even though names are changed (or at least they are more obscure place names in the area.). It is always more enjoyable for me as a reader to recognize the places where the book is set, as I can invest and immerse myself even deeper into the story and identify even more with the characters and their interactions with their environment. I really enjoy this author’s Daddy/Little dynamic books. The characters and interactions seem so realistic and relatable to me, I can easily find myself engrossed in the book, losing track of time living in her world with her characters. If you like Daddy/Little books, I think you would be drawn into any one of her books. Definitely 5 stars from me.
[I received an advanced copy of this book. All reviews and ratings are my own.]
If you've read Will, Just a Little Love, or Just a Little Magic then you've already met Reed and Jakob as a well-established couple. This is their story. (If you haven't read those books, what are you waiting for?)
This is such a sweet meet-cute, but perfectly suited for them. Jakob is distracted chaos personified, and Reed is the steady, calm Papa Jakob needs. This very much instalove and, while you'd think a scientist and a ER doc wouldn't rush heart first into a relationship, there really wasn't any other option. They were inevitable and fighting it would have been silly. Jakob is adorable and clever, and he absolutely blossoms under Reed's care.
I love the cameos from the author's other books in this world, and it was particularly interesting to see Reed's view of one of his cousins (go read Will and this will make more sense). This world that Kerry Kilpatrick has created is lovely and realistic. She doesn't shy away from the hard parts of life, and that only makes me want more of all of it.
This is a quick read, it's light, it's fluffy, and filled with Christmas lists and wishes and holiday wonder. Low-angst, moderate-spice, and a must read if you're looking for a sweet Daddy/boy, age-play story.
This is my second book by Kerry Kilpatrick and I enjoyed it as much as the first. I had no idea going into it that this is the story of a couple who briefly appears in the other book I read, Will. This is the story of Reed and Jakob. Reed is Beckett's cousin (on of the MCs in Will). You don't have to have read anything prior to this, as it is a standalone. Reed and Jakob's story actually happens before Will and Beckett's. Anyone who has read Will, you know who Reed and Jakob are and you'll love their story.
Reed is a successful doctor and roughly middle aged (I don't recall if it was ever said, but I think he is mid-30s). Jakob is much younger and a child genius, so at twenty-two, he's already fully established in his career and has a phD. Due to his immense intellect, he has been pressured to only ever concentrate on his studies and career. He's never been allowed to be a kid or even have a social life. When he finally decides to assert his independence from his family, he is a bit overwhelmed. During a small mishap, he meets Reed and the two immediately click and quickly begin a relationship.
I loved how Reed supported Jakob in discovering his likes and dislikes. He never spoke down to him or teased him for his inexperience, either as a Little or as an independent adult. Reed was totally selfless and genuinely kind, he wanted only the best for Jakob. I also loved how mischevious Jakob could be, but he was also always kind and sweet. The two were very well matched.
My only complaint is that the story felt unfinished. There was never any real closure to Jakob's relationship with his parents. I also kept waiting for some kind of interaction between Jakob and his brothers as their relationship also felt unresolved. Those aspects of the story were left hanging. Everything else was well-written and enjoyable.
This is a good treatment of the Big and Little kink for the gay world. It is tastefully done, but it can be uncomfortable for those who might not be fully aware of this dimension of gay culture.
It is a wonderfully written story of an accident that unexpectedly matches a young genius researcher who has been overprotected by his lawyer parents who want him to use his superior intellect to save the world. He's lived at home most of the time while getting two Phd's and other degrees. Jakob is easily distracted, which led to him rear ending the pick up truck in front of him. That happens to be owned and driven by an emergency room physician. Reed is caring and comforting to Jakob who's emergency alert system in his car has alerted his parents that he was in an accident. Reed hears how they protest him living in a motel rather than living with him, and demand they be involved in his care.
He constructs an excuse to have him stay at his home, and the romance begins. Reed imagines how it could be if Jakob was his "little" and he would be the "Big" or Papa, as this comes to play out. The journey to discovery that Reed was into this paternal care for a "little," and that Jakob would like to explore his denied childhood with being a "little" to someone like Reed.
Kerry Kilpatrick has created a very cute story, written with apparent knowledge of the Big-and-little communities, and plays out at Christmas with a very Happy Ever After. It was mostly an enjoyable read with some sensitivity played out for the roles they eventually occupied.
What is very clear, is the love between the two men, and the sincere care Reed gave Jakob.
”I don’t want to spend my life doing party tricks. I want to spend my life learning about the boy I know I am with the Papa who wants to find out with me.” - Jacob
1st Person, Dual POV 3rd Act Break Up: No Slow-burn: No HEA: Yes MC sex without other MC(s): No Spice: 2.5/5 Angst: 1/5 Fluff: 4/5 Structure/Format/Flow: 5/5 Sexual Acts Include: Overall: 5/5
Main Characters: Jacob: 23, Little, Sheltered, Intelligent, H0spital Employee: Research Lab Reed: Daddy/Papa, Hospital Employee: ER Doctor
My Opinion: This was another slam dunk by Kilpatrick. It’s not everyday you get a Daddy who is willing/does bottom for their boy. It’s not the status quo *insert HSM song here*. I love how from the first second they met, Jacob had Reed wrapped around his finger even if neither of them knew it. I absolutely despised Jacob’s parents and wish we could have had a bigger ending for them, and I would have enjoyed hearing more about and from his brothers. There was so much in life Jacob hadn’t gotten to experience and he crashed into the perfect Papa to help make it a reality. I also like the full circle connection to Beckett. I loved Jacob’s mention about him being sad, not a douche canoe. Also, Beckett has a book of his own out and you’ll love it! Almstead Island: Newcomer's Club #1: Will. I was happy I put the release of this book on my calendar. I will probably revisit it in the future!
This was it. This was the precise outcome I’d wanted for Jakob—to be free and happy. - Reed
I enjoyed this cute holiday book, and read it very fast. Part of that is because it's small and pocket-sized, but part of it is just because it's really cute and easy to read. It's been a while since I read anything with Daddy/little, and it grew on me in short order.
I was a bit confused at the beginning as it seemed to be moving very fast and felt a bit insta-love, which isn't my favourite. I wanted them to slow down just a little as it was making my head spin. I'm also not sure how I feel about the explanation/justification for why Jakob is a Little. Yes, it makes sense, but it was spelled out a bit too clearly, and I don't think we need to justify it when characters want or need age play. Sometimes people are just into that, and that's fine. I also don't believe that Jakob's controlling parents would let him go that easily, but perhaps we need to suspend disbelief for the holidays.
This is a cute little book and a fun read full of Daddy/little goodness and holiday cheer. Definitely read it if you'd enjoy a sweet Little being spoiled beyond his wildest dreams, and a Papa who delights in making his dreams come true. I loved Jakob's adorable habit of accidentally saying his thoughts out loud, and these instances made me laugh out loud a few times. Overall, it's sweet, spicy, and funny, with the Daddy bottoming, which I appreciated.
Wrecked for the Holidays is part of multi author Home for the Holidays series. Each book can be read as a standalone but why not enjoy the rest of the series. This is a new to me author and I am really glad that I chose this book. I absolutely loved this story. This is Jakob and Reed's story. Jakob is all set to enjoy his first Christmas holiday ever when he rear ends another car and injures himself. Thankfully the man he ran into is happy to try and help Jakob and keep him calm. At the hospital, Reed decides to check once more on Jakob. Hearing his parents and the way that they spoke to him, Reed steps up and protects him. As a doctor he has a trustworthy reputation and manner. Jakob jumps into the life raft that Reed provided with both feet! Jakob is incredibly smart but has not had much life experiences. He thinks he is a little but doesn't know who to act like one. So like he always does, Jakob uses his analytical brain and makes a list. Just like he has a Christmas List and a Life List. Reed is a daddy without a boy. But each interaction with Jakob makes him want to have one of his own. This is their story. The book is very well written and easy to read. I really enjoyed it.
I received a complementary advanced review copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wrecked for the Holidays by Kerry Kilpatrick is a heartwarming addition to the Home for the Holidays series, blending sweetness, self-discovery, and holiday magic.
Jacob Winslow, a sheltered genius controlled by overbearing parents, escapes their grasp to finally experience life. His journey takes a turn when he literally crashes into Reed Matthews, a doctor and Daddy figure who recognises Jacob’s Little nature. Despite their differences, they form a bond built on trust, care, and love.
As Reed helps Jacob explore his Christmas bucket list—from picking out a tree to indulging in festive fun—Jacob experiences firsts that he’s always dreamed of but never thought possible. Along the way, Reed provides the nurturing structure Jacob craves, whether through tender moments, playful adventures, or the occasional needed boundary.
Their romance blossoms naturally, with Reed treasuring Jacob and Jacob embracing his true self. The humour, warmth, and palpable chemistry between them make their journey to "I love you" both heart-melting and joyful.
This is a delightful read for fans of Daddy/Boy dynamics and holiday romances. Jacob's innocence and Reed's steady devotion create a perfect balance, making their HEA all the more satisfying. Highly recommended for those who enjoy stories of self-discovery, love, and festive cheer!
This was absolutely adorable. Having read JALL and JALM, I knew I needed a backstory on Reed and Jakob’s love story, and this delivers! And that Valentines bonus?! 😍😍
The way these two met was unique and perfect for them. Jakob literally running into Reed? Yes, please. It was also beautiful how Reed accepted Jakob exactly for how he is, never judging or questioning. And I of course loved how Jakob was immediately all in and all over Reed.
Was it a little convenient and fast how they moved their relationship forward? Sure, but it’s a novella haha so I knew it had to happen decently quick. With all that said, I really enjoyed watching them just fall into their places of a Papa and his Boy without any hesitation or dramatics.
Even though I like Jakob and his antics, I really love Reed’s character. The way he opens up his home and his heart for a stranger. The way he accepts Jakob 100% without fail was lovely. He helped Jakob become his true self and I really appreciated that.
Favorite parts? •Glitter waffles ✨🧇 •A certain “present” wrapped under the tree 🎄 •Papa Reed in general 😍 •Bubble baths 🛁
I am all in with this world Kilpatrick has created and I can’t wait to keep reading!!!
So I've been wanting Jakob's story since I first read about him in Will & and then in Just A Little Love (both of which I also highly recommend but they doesn't have to be read to enjoy this book). He really captured my attention and needed to have his story. And the author delivered and gave us Jakob's fabulous, funny, sweet, and steamy story. Jakob is so cute, hilarious, sassy, and mischievous. He knows what he wants for Christmas...a Daddy. And when life introduces the perfect Daddy he will scheme (but in a nice way.. remember sweet) to get to keep his Daddy. I don't blame him cause Reed is the perfect Daddy. He's so patient but stern, really sees Jakob (not just his brain), and his quick thinking saves him from not so nice parents. Jakob may be a handful but he had so much to explore and experience that he wasn't allowed to do when growing up (ugh...those parents). Good thing Reed was more than willing to indulge him and make sure Jakob was able to check off items from his lists, including some very sexy items 🔥. Loved Jakob and Reed. Their relationship may have developed quickly but their connection was strong, full of emotions, communication, and sizzling chemistry. It did not feel rushed or incomplete, it was set perfectly for them, Jakob had waited long enough!
If you read the author's Just a Little Love, you have met Jakob and Reed as an established couple, this is their story.
These two could not have been any more different. Jakob is the distracted professor in the body of a 23 year old who was controlled by his parents and never managed to try out his little side. Reed is the older, ER doctor who knows that he wants a little but so far is content with playing at the club.
It's a very insta-lust, insta-love, insta-Papa/Little relationship. For me a bit too insta, too fast but it is a shorter book so things do happen quicker. I love how Reed acts fast and works on ticking off Jakob's Christmas list and helps him understanding and enyoing his little side.
Jakob is actually quite a strong character, when it comes to his life outside his little personality, he knows exactly what he wants and that he is in charge of it.
I would have loved to see a solution to Jakob's parents and brothers, this really is left open and I hope the author may visit the topic again.
WRECKED FOR THE HOLIDAYS is a spin-off from the Almstead Island series and can be read as a standalone. It features Jakob, a classified genius, and Reed, a doctor in the local ER. Jakob runs into Reed's truck with his car and that starts more than anyone was expecting.
This was such a feel-good seasonal story, with plenty of feels and funny moments along the way. Jakob's attempts to cook for Reed were laugh-out-loud moments. The way Reed understood Jakob, both instinctively and also by listening to him, was just wonderful - a warm hug in a book. It is fast-paced, especially at the beginning, but it does slow down and give you time to enjoy the developments in their relationship.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and definitely recommend it.
Oh, and my heart broke for Beckett but, luckily for me, I've already read his story so I could cope with his sadness.

Merissa Archaeolibrarian - I Dig Good Books! Nov 25, 2024
Wrecked for the Holidays is Kerry Kilpatrick's contribution to the Home for the Holidays multiauthor series. It's a familiar daddy/little trope, the daddy doesn't have the time/inclination to find his little and the little doesn't have a chance to explore their 'littleness'. But who could resist a Christmas daddy/little tale? Magic of the season and all that. Raised by two determined, self righteous parents who believe that anything not profession related is frivolous, Jakob is only beginning to explore his little tendencies. That's the true magic of the story. Papa Reed guides him through all his firsts. The visit to the tree farm with the reindeer and Jakob's first shopping trip for little clothing and toys are so well written. His joy for all things Christmas and his Christmas and life wish lists make for tender, smile inducing reading. There's a little angsty pining as they both conclude that 'yes it's to early' but they want forever. Yes it's tropey. But it's so well done. Kerry Kilpatrick owns the trope. And writes a delicious, fun filled story. I received an advanced copy of this book through GRR and this is my review.
Jakob and Reed are an established couple in Kerry's other books, so I was excited to get to see their meet cute and watch them fall in love!
This is a cute holiday novella with some insta-love, roommates, and exploring new dynamics!
Jakob crashes into Reed's life, literally rear-ending him. Chance has it, Jakob ends up at the hospital Reed works at, and when Reed goes to check in on him after the accident, he hears Jakob's overbearing parents trying to butt into his life and have him return home. Jakob recently moved out to a motel to get away from his overbearing parents and his goal is to make this the best Christmas he's had, since he's never really had one. Reed offers up his guest room and the rest is history!
It was great getting to meet the characters a bit more after seeing them in other stories, and really get to understand them and how they came to be. I loved getting to see Jakob explore his little side and for Reed to become a full-time Papa in a way he never dared to before.
"Wrecked for the holidays" is a sweet and festive contemporary romance. We follow Jakob who is a scientist and a genius and Reed who is an ER doctor. The two of them have a very unique meet cute when their cars crash. At the hospital, Reed discovers Jakob has never celebrated Christmas and decides to help him have a magical holiday. I had a great time reading this book, it was angst free, super sweet and fun. It put me in the mood for Christmas and just made me very very happy. I loved Jakob, he had a brilliant mind and at the same time was very innocent because of the way he grew up. Reed was wonderful, very patient and loving. The two of them were a perfect match and I loved seeing them explore their desires and their dynamic. They had amazing chemistry. I finished it in a day, it was great and I would definitely recommend it.
This was such a cute wholesome book about an inexperienced little stumbling into a very experienced and very single Daddy who is more than ready to drop everything in order to ensure his boy gets the full little experience.
I enjoyed seeing Reed and Jakob's story and how it different these two are. We are shown the authentic side of a little growing in their littlehood and how different circumstances enforce expectations that may be morally wrong or twisted.
I personally loved Reed and his patience. Dude really had to have a lot of patience that's for sure. And the little sentimental moments he shares with Jakob are so warm and fuzzy.
For those wondering, Reed (Daddy) is a bottom and Jakob (Little) is a top. There is bratty behavior, sippy cup, training pants etc., spanking, discipline and a whole lot of other goodies.
