Who would have guessed all my totally bland life needed was a healthy dash of Italian seasoning? My friend Maya says I attract three types of drifters, dreamers, and dependents.I don’t need another flake. I'm actually not looking for a man at all, especially after my boyfriend of nearly two years broke up with me on a whim to take off for Tibet with a complete stranger named Rainbow Chakra. When the son of a local Italian family hires me to be his realtor, it's instant chemistry. He’s like no one I’ve ever dated. Our hearts seem destined for one another. But can he make room in his heart and life for me when he's already married to the family business?Courtshipped is a prequel novella to the Getting Shipped series, a collection of small-town, closed-door romcom stories. Courtshipped is a stand-alone read. Courtshipped can be read in a few hours ... anytime you want to escape and put a little more Italian in your life.
Felicia & Gregg were adorable! This was a cute insta-love romance with sweet family ties and delicious chemistry! (And food of course)
I loved Italian family and the language sprinkled throughout.
It was a sweet, fast paced, love story with an adorable ending! It gave all of the typical family and love feels you’d expect from a Savannah Scott book.
Courtshipped by Savannah Scott is a light, swoony novella about unexpected chemistry and new beginnings when Felicia, a realtor whose life was upended by a sudden breakup, meets Gregg, a passionate Italian restaurant owner whose world is all family, food, and heart. This sweet romance set in the cozy small town of Bordeaux, Ohio blends instant attraction with laugh‑out‑loud moments and warm familial bonds, and it serves as a prequel to the Getting Shipped! series while standing beautifully on its own.
From the very first page I felt buoyed by Felicia’s candid, wry sense of humor, especially as she navigates the aftermath of a partner who literally chases spiritual enlightenment in Tibet, and I couldn’t help but grin at how real and charming her voice felt. Gregg was such a joy to meet: grounded in his rich Italian heritage, he brings that love of food, language, and family into every scene in a way that made my heart feel warm and hungry at the same time. Their chemistry caught me by surprise, sparking with that delicious, immediate pull that made turning pages feel effortless. Savannah Scott’s writing carries a comfortable rhythm and a light, playful tone that made this novella feel like the perfect escape from a busy day. The found family vibes of Bordeaux, plus the delightful meddling and laughter from side characters like Felicia’s best friend Maya, added layers of joy and connection that made this story feel bigger than its page count. While the romance leans into insta‑attraction, it never felt shallow to me, because Felicia and Gregg’s interactions were built on authentic quirks, shared meals, and real, affectionate conversation.
I would rate Courtshipped 4 out of 5 because it gave me exactly what I was craving: a cozy, clean contemporary romance that made me smile, sigh, and feel different emotions.
The characters felt alive and the balance of humor, cultural flavor, and emotional warmth left me content and eager to explore more of Bordeaux’s lovable world. If you enjoy swoony, food‑rich romances that feel like a warm hug and a glass of Italian red, this novella is a delightful, feel‑good read.
A sweet romance that is a bit of a prequel to the Getting Shipped series by this author. Take a cute Realtor, who describes her job well and I know this since I too sell real estate, add a sexy Italian restaurant owner and you have the beginnings of the perfect recipe for a sweet romance story. An insta-love, second chances workaholics dream romance! I can attest that both restauranteurs and real estate agents who are successful are both workaholics so the realism is on point in this story! The romance is super sweet and it is the perfect intro to a fantastic series. I have read several of the series books already and can attest that the humor is on point as is the sweet romance!
This is a prequel to Savannah’s fabulous Getting Shipped series. It’s a novella, but full of funny and tender moments, and a sweet romance.
The dual narrative was excellent and added a lot to this adorable story.
It’s hard not to fall in love with a story about a slightly uptight heroine, who meets a passionate Italian restauranteur, and who changes her life. The way he fell so fast and hard for her and didn’t try to hide it, was delicious. And so was all of the mentions of Italian cuisine.
There’s so much to love about the story, including – Rainbow Chakra Insta Attraction Opposites attract Dual POV Maya Their first date He cooks for her Loving Italian family Italian food He calls her Bella The epilogue
If you’re looking for a quick read that’s fun, clean, and charming, you should check this one out.
This little novella changed my life. I first read it when it was part of a free promotion. That introduced me to Savannah Scott and the rest of the Getting Shipped series. That snowballed into even more wonderful things. I did this before I wrote reviews for books I'd read.
Once the promotion was over, the author revised this book by adding an epilogue and a recipe to the end. I went back and read it and remembered how I felt the frost time through. Then those bonuses! I got to go back to Bordeaux! It's my favorite fictional town ever! It was great!
I may attempt the recipe at some point as well. What can I say, I'm a glutton for punishment! But I love this novella that starts off the Getting Shipped series!
When I first started reading this series, I believe I message Savannah Scott and asked for audio. The others in the series have been out but this one just released today. I was able to listen to an advanced copy. I have to be honest, I do not enjoy the female narrator that read this book. I've said before and will continue to say that I feel like she reads every romcom the exact same way. It makes every character from many different authors blend into one. I sort of could see Felicia's manner like was being read, but I hate the fact that all the FMCs sound the same when read by this female narrator. The male voice was fine.
Reread via audio and it was a blast! Loved the duet narration and the great voice acting!
Felicia and Gregg have an insta-attraction romance with a touch of forced proximity, lots of delicious food, a meddling Italian family, and so much SWOON.
Things I Loved: -Rainbow Chakra 😆 -Maya -Wink -“Let me feed you.” -Moby -First date -The open house mishaps -“Some days are just a naked-granny, cricket-in-your-panties kind of day.” -Gregg’s dad -The privacy game -“Doesn’t everyone have an aunt like that?” -The new epilogue! 💖
There are so many laugh-out-loud, swoony, and sweet moments packed into this novella. I first read it when it was part of the freebie promo last year and I absolutely adore the new epilogue and will definitely have to try my hand at the recipe now included in the back of the book! This can be read standalone, but it is a prequel to the fantastic Getting Shipped series.
I listened to this wonderfully romantic story in audio. I loved that it was performed in duet narration. The narrators did an excellent job of bringing Gregg and Felicia to life.
I really liked these characters. Gregg was such a good son. He was so dedicated to his family while also trying to juggle his own life, which seemed to be overflowing with responsibilities at the family restaurant that he managed. I felt like I was truly seeing what it was like to be a chef and also run a restaurant. I learned as Felicia learned.
I loved the way Gregg and Felicia communicated. They both fell fast, but there was a lot for the two of them to juggle. They had some big time constraint hurdles to overcome with all of the long hours Gregg worked. I really felt all of the emotions with these two characters!
Courtshipped is the prequel novella to the Getting Shipped series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Courtshipped is the prequel novella to the Getting Shipped series, and it was so darn wholesome and adorable. I absolutely fell in love with the story, the characters, the delivery and Savannah's writing style. It is a little insta lovey which is usually not my cup of tea, but the author truly made it work. This short little delight is filled with lots of laughs, swoons, sweetness and beautiful moments.
The realness of the characters and their jobs was so great. The descriptions, their actions, their conversations everything felt real. Gregg is the swooniest Italian lover, I absolutely loved him. The meddling Italian family was so accurate (my moms side is 😅). I loved every little Italian detail that was added from the food, the nicknames, the phrases, it just made the Italian side so authentic.
An absolutely fun and delightful read. It had it all to keep me laughing and swooning. My first by Savannah and definitely not my last !
🎧 The narration by Amanda Friday & Tyler Hyrchuk was good, I enjoyed listening to the audiobook. The emotions were portrayed well. I thought the Italian was pronounced well and accurately for my liking. Good performance overall.
Audio DNF. The female voice is grating and something is off about the male voice. Bummer because I otherwise love Bordeaux, the best fictional town ever!
I may come back and try reading instead of doing the audio, but I’m not sure why Scott switched narrators from the rest of the series.
This is a duet style narration by @amandafridayaudio and @tylerhyrchukvo. It’s very entertaining and you will definitely catch yourself laughing out loud!
I love a man who enjoys cooking (making all the googly eyes at my husband as I type this). So, Gregg cooking for Felicia was an instant winner for me. “Let me feed you.” OKAY. 😍💘
Gregg and Felicia’s chemistry is undeniable, and I loved the learning to balance life and relationships between the two characters.
The romance is sweet, the humor is laugh out loud worthy (yall, by the way - Maya is hilarious!!), and there are notable swoony tender moments!
Court(shipped) is a novella to the Getting Shipped! series. It has a beautiful new cover AND a bonus epilogue. Side note - have you seen the revamped covers so far for this series!? Savannah Scott also made bonus content for each book and had the CUTEST map of Bordeaux designed!

I have officially read ALL of Savannah Scott’s RomComs! 😊 I loved having a few of her unread Getting Shipped novels on my shelves, knowing I could pick one up for a GUARANTEED great read, but …the time felt right. There is so much good stuff coming from Savannah in 2025 and now I’m ready to dive into all those things.
I’m amazed how much was packed into this one novella. One of my absolute favorite opening chapters in a RomCom. Go read the first several pages that are available to preview on Amazon – you’ll be laughing your head off from the get-go. Hooked I tell you, you’ll be HOOKED!
Felicia’s boyfriend has just ditched her…headed for Tibet to find new purpose in his life. Of course, you feel bad for poor Felicia, but my goodness that whole scene unfolding had me cackling! And we must talk about Felicia’s BFF, Maya – that girl is probably my favorite bestie side character EVER. So fiery and full of life with an absolute tell it like it is personality that had me giggling. She needs her own story. 😉
Gregg runs the family’s Italian restaurant in town. And bonus points, he’s actually an Italian. Speaks the language and the whole bit. Gregg is single, but he basically works himself into the ground at the restaurant, leaving little room for finding love. Him and Felicia cross paths and well, there’s a definite connection, with a lot of flirty, Italian flair. Although if you think Gregg is a forward Italian, wait until you meet his best friend, Dante. lol
I don’t want to say too much since it’s a short read. Just pick it up and enjoy the ride of this amazing novella. One big takeaway – find you a man that feeds you well! 😉 Is there anything more romantic? Lol

A quick novella listen on Hoopla. I enjoyed the story. Felicia and Greg play a role in Lexi’s story so I found their story to be sweet and romantic with their instant chemistry. Greg’s passion for his family business couldn’t compete with Felicia and all that she brought to his life.
I originally read this as part of the sweet and swoony giveaway but just finished the updated version and I appreciated it so much more this time through. Having read the rest of the Getting Shipped series I can appreciate having Felicia’s story much more, but I also think that the subtle ways the author reworked this story now make it a much better prequel novel to the series then I remember it being before. It is an adorable romance that gives you those perfect first glimpses into life in Felicia’s hometown of Bordeaux (Bored Ox) where the rest of the Getting Shipped series takes place and leads us right into FriendShipped, the first full length novel in the series.
Greg and Felicia will warm your heart with their adorableness and make you hungry for some authentic Italian cooking (don’t worry the recipe’s included!)
“I thought I was crazy for feeling so much for you, a total stranger to me. But you were never a stranger to my heart”
Cute story. It was fun having a a dreamy Italian as the main male MC. Looking forward to the rest of the series that I have heard so many people rave about!
Italian food, a delightful relatable heroine, & the swooniest, hunkiest (Is that a word? If not it should be!) Italian chef MMC! “Let me feed you.” *sigh* Savannah Scott brings all the swoon in this brand new audiobook of the fabulous novella Courtshipped that’s the prequel to the Getting Shipped series! It’s got a gorgeous new cover & bonus epilogue.
I loved stepping back into the Getting Shipped world & getting to know Felicia, Lexie’s sister from Friendshipped. Felicia’s a real-estate agent whose life is expertly organized. She even has weekly scheduled dates with her boyfriend of a year. When he suddenly upends her carefully balanced world, she’s persuaded by her best friend to try a dating app. But before her first date, she meets a gorgeous Italian chef & it’s love at first bite!
Gregg feels an instant attraction to Felicia & their chemistry is off the charts. But, his family business takes all his time. Will he have the courage to make his own life with Felicia in it, or will he lose her?
I absolutely loved this novella & the audiobook was fantastic! I love duet narration & these narrators made it flow effortlessly so it seemed so natural. The accents were perfection.
I loved Gregg & every time he called Felicia “bella” I was a goner. All the delicious food references had me craving Italian food while listening.
The delightful humor had me laughing out loud. I especially love Maya! Her breakfast cereal names for Felicia’s ex had me snort laughing.
This is definitely one quick, endearing novella you need in your life & the audiobook is *chef’s kiss.* I received an advanced complimentary listener copy but also purchased the ebook. All opinions are my own & voluntarily provided.
The secret is out and I’ll just start by saying that immediately after finishing this read I started it over again. I loved Gregg and Felicia! Gregg’s Italian side shines through as he can’t help but make sure Felicia is fed and treated well.
What a start to the Shipped series! I ALWAYS completely enjoy every book I’ve read of Patty’s! This was my first and second time reading Courtshipped!
Gregg is so busy running his family’s restaurant, though he has a dream that he may need a nudge to take the chance on. I loved how good he was to Felicia.
Felicia is always striving to better herself and keeps a strict schedule, Gregg helps her slow down a bit. After just breaking up with her ex-boyfriend she is focusing on the things she can control and she keeps having to adjust and Gregg just makes her feel the comfort and stability she needs.

I just love the wholesome, happy, realistic, and beautiful stories I find whenever I read a book by Patty!
I love reading Savannah Scott books. She has a way of bringing humor into every book she writes. While this book (novella) about an Italian chef and a home realtor was slightly under her typical humor level, it still made me laugh. This book had a lot more sweet yet deep feelings, while still keeping things light and loving. I absolutely loved the character of Gregg and how he was so attentive and romantic towards Felicia. This book was definitely swoon-worthy while still being a very clean book: no swearing, sex, or innuendos.
The Italian language contained was a delight to read. Scott often included the translation of the text within a few lines, but there were still a few left for me to google, which was fun. Some of the Italian text was easily discernable, and other phrases were similar enough to Latin (the mother language of both Italian and English) that I could understand the meaning without looking it up. But it was a fun side-engagement for me while reading the book.
The audio of this book is out today and it is such a delight. This story is the prequel to her Getting Shipped series, and it is perfect in that role.
Felicia has not had the best luck in love. Gregg is married to his job at his family’s restaurant. When these two meet and experience insta-attraction, how do they reconcile what they want and what they feel with their realities?
I love the way Felicia holds space for herself and what she needs, eventually. I also love the side characters so much in this one. Everyone needs the kinds of best friends these two have. You know those people that look at you and just tell you when you’re being dense? They are the treasures of our world.
The audio is done in duet style narration and I love that. It keeps the pace of the story moving. These narrators did a great job of performing the characters in a way that lent to the story rather than distracting from it. We always appreciate that!
I read this book a while ago 👀 actually and was so excited to hear it was getting re-released 🎉 ! as y’all know? Savannah Scott and her “Getting Shipped” series is a favorite 🤩 of mine, so here my review on this amazing prequel novella 📖 .
Felicia. Honestly a power house 💪🏼 . After her stupid bf broke 💔 up with her, she wouldn’t let things get in the way of her singleness because men are overrated. But then she see’s Gregg 👨🍳 , and everything changes.
Gregg. Italian 🇮🇹 through and through, and yes, owns a very successful restaurant 🍝 . The minute he lays eyes 😍. on Felicia, he knows there’s something different about her.
When she becomes his real estate agent 🏡 , the two are thrown into a whirlwind romance full of flirting 😘 , food🥗, and heart melting quotes 🥰.
I definitely reccomend this book, but make sure you’re getting Italian🍕 soon after because you will be craving it (and maybe the cook too 👀)
Courtshipped does not take place in Bordeaux like the others it actually takes place in a small town in Kentucky. But the FMC Felecia is from Bordeaux (Lexi from Friendshipped sister), she is a realtor in the Kentucky town. The MMC Greg, is Italian and works at his family restaurant, and is ready to find his own place. Seeing the meet cute, connection here 😏
I really enjoyed this novella and loved all the funny moments-Rainbow Chakra-ex boyfriends dog-all the things!
It was insta love at its finest! Be sure to have some spagetti on hand to eat while you read, you will be craving all the Italian foods before the ending. 😋
That was cute! In this prequel novella to the "Getting Shipped" series, Gregg and Felicia find love at first sight. It's swoony, with a gorgeous, cinnamon roll of an Italian hero. It made me hungry for Italian food, too! I thoroughly enjoyed their love story up until the third act break up and wasn't a huge fan of her over-the-top friend Maya, but otherwise this was perfection. A quick and fun book I breezed through in two days. I can't wait to be swept away by more sweet swoons in Bordeaux (in this series)!
You have to read this novella by Savannah Scott. It was so sweet from the start. I laughed out loud many times, especially at the beginning with the yak dung and Maya’s reaction to Rainbow Chakra! 😂 Ahh I loved all the feels from this book. Gregg was a total sweetheart and I’m so glad Felicia got her own story. I started this series at book 1 and didn’t read this prequel novella first. So I was introduced to Felicia through Lexie, and Felicia seemed annoying in Lexie’s book. I’m so glad I read her story too. I love the town of Bordeaux and I can’t wait to read all of their stories.
A sweet read about estate agent, Felicia who has recently broken up with her cheating boyfriend who has moved to Tibet. She meets Gregg, son of the owner of an Italian restaurant and is instantly enamored with him. He ticks all her boxes and is so kind, caring and in tune with her. However, can they overcome his work situation as he is married to his job and battles to find time to spend with her. This charming book is clean, contains no swearing and only kissing.
Oh my soaking Grape Nuts. This story is about finding love and good food. That’s like dreams coming true folks. Felicia is a realtor and Gregg is looking to OG down some roots not too far from his family. The audio is also good and I apparently have a thing for accents. They totally make the story. See if these two can find out how to merge their dreams together. Will the pasta be al dente or will Gregg leave it too long and choose a soggy forever?
What a delightful story this one is! It is short but does fill in a blank in the series. Not in order but wonderful still. This series is so delightful and fun, you will laugh and giggle so many times. Each book is a tender romance and you just love all of the characters so much that you don't want the stories to end.
This book had a smile on my face all the way through with great chemistry between the characters and it definitely didn't forget the comedy. Nice to have supportive rather than dysfunctional families too and a FMC who has learned not to put up with less than she deserves.
Eh it was not terrible but it was cheesy for sure and there were just some eye roll moments that I was like “come on that is ridiculous”. It’s a cute story, the ending is a happy ending but I still kinda found it stupid haha. But I can see how people love this book so for sure go check it out if you want a quick read
Cute cute cute "Maya prays over our food. “Lord, thank you for this food. Thank you for breaking my friend out of her ever-loving rut of boring food and thank you that you are going to find her a real man. Make him good, Lord. Amen.”
