Blending art, cryptography, and real-world intrigue, The Kryptos Enigma reveals the puzzle that continues to challenge some of the world’s sharpest minds.
Perfect for lovers of unsolved mysteries, hidden messages, and historical puzzles.
This 22 minute audiobook discusses Kryptos, the cryptographic sculpture that was consigned when the CIA built its headquarters in Langley, VA in 1990. Artist Kim Sandborn created this sculpture with 4 coded messages, 3 which have been solved. Kelly dives into the background of this artwork and theories behind the fourth unsolved puzzle. I had never heard this story before, so it peaked my interest in this subject. This is not a deep dive, but rather a starting point to this fascinating piece of art.
*I received an ARC of this audiobook. All opinions expressed in this review are solely my own.
The Kryptos Enigma (GKP Mysteries Book 2), my third read from author Grant Kelly, an author I'd not heard of before reading The Valley of the Kings (GKP Most Haunted Places Series Book 4). An enjoyable 29-page short read. “I received a complementary Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author with The Lost Roman Legion (GKP Mysteries Book 3) next. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Audiobook: I enjoyed this article about this sculpture, which was not only a thing of beauty, but also contained four puzzles within itself, one puzzle which has not been solved yet. This was the first time I had heard of this sculpture, and this essay piqued my curiosity about it as I have been a fan of puzzles for years. I thought Digital Voice Madison G was easy to follow and easy to understand. I was given a copy of the audiobook through Spotify. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
