now this is the christmas book i’ve definitely been wanting to read! this was such a cute read, and definitely the right book to cleanse my mind after the last book i didn’t finish reading!
౨ৎ brynn. i just love a woman like her! she grew up in a loving family, and it can be seen how much it shaped her as a person. she’s so kind and will be always there for you just to keep you company when you need it. she’s definitely the type of friend that anyone would be lucky to have.
౨ৎ pierce. if i can run with a pole with a green around for every chapter of this book, i would’ve because it screamed him being such a perfect man. in my opinion, he did the right thing six years ago because it could’ve put them both at a pedestal if they were caught. he didn’t want to waste the chance that was given to him, and i love him for that!
i love how there was a build up in their relationship and not just jumping straight into each other’s throat upon seeing each other after six years. this really made me feel the love of family and christmas!!

Pierce and Brynn had a one night stand 6 years ago when Brynn was studying onboard, only to find out when she went to her first class on Monday he was her teachers assistant! 👀 Things came to an end between them despite their instant connection and lingering feelings 💔 Fast forward, 6 years later, she runs into him & it turns out they are both applying for the same job 😱 To make matters even more fun, they end up forced into a villa with their friends/family for the holidays after some crazy and delectable revelations 🤭

Ahhh this was cuteee, exactly what I want from my festive reads. A hot British man 🫦 who falls first AND harder 😋 I was living for the tension & will they/won't they moments. This is the perfect kick-your-feet and squeal read. Who doesn't love a holiday romance that's so unrealistic it's laughable but you can't stop eating it up!! I finished this one in about 2 hours since I couldn't put it down.
Pierce was a walking green flag — he could talk the talk but also back it up and be the sweetest gentleman. I would listen to this narrator read his grocery list 🥵 Brynn was a self assured and mature woman. Timing was everything for them. NO drawn out petty drama / third act nonsense. This author duo made you wait for the spice but the relationship build up was appreciated. She even plays nurse for him 🪭
It was a little cheesy at times, but in the best festive hallmark way. It was short, sweet and the perfect feel good holiday rom-com!
10/10 recommend the audio if you pick this up, it MADE this experience for me. I'm officially in my fa-la-la-la era 💅

OK, HEAR ME OUT! This book is legitimately the personification of what you want to see in a Holiday rom-com! It will give you happy, fluffy, cosy, spicy little feelings and vibes while hitting every single checkpoint in a beautiful wrapped-up red bow.
𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙨:
Six years ago, Brynn spent a semester abroad in the UK, and right before class started she decided to go have a little bit of fun (I mean drinking is legal in the UK under 21). She meets a mysterious man, Pierce at a pub and the two instantly hit it off. Like cute the sparks, fireworks, hearts in the air...EVERYTHING. They spend a weekend rolling in the sheets and on Monday morning he breaks her heart when it turns out HE IS HER TA! Then the RIDICULOUS coincidences start rolling in (and I was not rolling my eyes at them because your girl was lapping this up like an ice-cold drink on a hot summer CHRISTMAS DAY - YES I live in the southern hemisphere. It's HOT when I see Santa) First, she meets him in her hotel elevator in New York City, then it turns out they are interviewing for the same job. Then she finds out he is on the same plane as her to UTAH for Christmas because HE IS SPENDING THE HOLIDAYS with her family. WHY? Because his cousin happens to be married to her brother's wife's best friend...AND they have to share a room because of a mixup with the available rooms...
𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
HolyNight SHIT... I LOVED THIS. Like a giddy little girl opening her presents on Christmas morning, this was the book that kept on giving. I giggled, squealed, smiled, and inhaled it as fast as I could. The good vibes and family elements of this story bring a type of magic that is only really found in the warmth of Christmas!
Brynn was amazing. I loved how much she valued her family, and what stood out to me was how much she respected her self-worth. She was hurt by what Pierce did to her, but she acknowledged that she was young, he was young, and neither of them handled the situation well. One of the biggest strengths of this book was that neither Brynn nor Pierce was ready for the kind of relationship that would have happened if they had got together all those years ago. They needed time to grow up, find themselves, mature, and learn who they were. This really strengthened the "one that got away" vibes and made their reconciliation that much stronger.
Pierce was an absolute sweetheart AND a walking green flag. He is a total flirt and cocky, but he is also sincere, thoughtful, and SUCH A GENTLEMAN in everything he does. He’s the type of man your mother DREAMS you bring home for the holidays, and gosh, my heart actually melted with the way he built a relationship with Brynn's family. He fit in so well that it almost felt like he was the missing puzzle piece from the start.
I also really liked that he owned up to his mistakes. He accepts that he messed up the first time around, knows he made a huge mistake, and is determined not to let her slip away this time. He was such a charmer in how he chipped away at her tough exterior—it was just cute, sweet, and perfect! Their journey to finding each other felt natural and progressed at the right pace.
I also appreciated that it was pretty low-stakes and fluffy. While it dealt with some emotional situations, like overcoming trauma and baggage, especially concerning Pierce and his family, it was handled nicely without being emotionally overwhelming. It had just the right dash of depth to elevate the story (like a sprinkle of cinnamon in coffee iykyk)

Tons of family holiday competitions and holiday games, forced proximity (they have to share a villa), both characters felt well developed for such a short read, and we get fun side characters (makes me want to go read their holiday novellas next).

This was another fun Christmas novella!
Pierce and Brynn had good chemistry and I liked how Pierce was the one chasing after Brynn and trying to get her to give their relationship another try. The flashbacks that the author weaved into the story were a nice touch too. We got to see how they first met and the magical few days they spent together before it eventually fell apart. I did not expect this to be a second chance romance between a student and her TA but I think the author did a good job of explaining why the relationship didn’t work years ago. I usually don’t vibe with the student/professor trope but it worked for me here.
The family banter was great and it was so cute to see all the traditions and games they had. It really put me in the festive mood. All in all, I liked this one a lot. I believe the author has written other Christmas novellas and I will definitely check them out this year or save them for next Christmas.

We’d go back and forth, and it just felt like he was trying to embarrass me. I was so hurt and broken that I’d put my blind faith in someone, and he just tossed me aside like I was nothing
they end up at the same lodge for the holidays because there's some overlap in families, his cousin's wife is h's brother's wife's bff or something like that. he decides then and there he wants her so he goes for her. both characters were bland af and there's barely any depth to their relationship cause 2 days in, they are jumping into bed and professing their love for each other. like ma'am did you forget he dumped you like you were nothing?? both weren't celibate during the separation.

This was just a fun, quick and truly christmasy book! Every chapter I read, I felt my christmas spirit coming to me and I loved that.
This story is so cute and I truly love second chance romances - and Piper's writting is always so delicious and easy to read.
I couldn't recommend this book more - special because I truly think the chracthers were amazing and the whole scenario has the perfect christmas vibe!

Piper Rayne never steers me wrong! "Merry Kissmas" is another solid holiday romp with sugar, spice, and everything nice. I had a lot of fun reading this silly, quirky, quick, fast-paced Christmas novella. It is a second chance, forced proximity rom-com full of family shenanigans and Christmas-themed games. I enjoyed the characters here, even the secondary ones. There is more than meets the eye when it comes to Brynn and Pierce. They are both nuanced characters who feel realistic and lived-in. There is quite a bit of miscommunication, but I actually think it works for this story and the situations here. When I wasn't laughing, I was swooning and rooting for Brynn and Pierce to overcome their past in order to move ahead with a solid future together. The Christmas games provide some much needed zaniness in the form of a ugly cookie decorating contest, tree decorating, snowman building, etc. This novella will put you in the spirit of the season! Be sure to check it out.

Jumping straight into the review, as this is a short read and a cute Christmas story. I highly recommend the audiobook, narrated in duet by Shane East and Stella Hunter—both brilliant narrators.
This story is a second-chance romance set six years after the characters parted ways, brought together again in a forced proximity situation around Christmas time. I loved the Christmas challenges the family does as part of their tradition and the connection between the parents and siblings.
That said, since this is a short read, the connection between the characters is already established, as expected with the second-chance romance trope. Personally, I enjoy the slow build of a romance, so I felt I missed out on the excitement of their initial meeting, even though we do get glimpses of it through past memories.
Overall, I loved these two as a couple, and it’s a fun, cute story. I recommend it if you’re looking for something quick and festive to read this Christmas season!

Loved this spicy cozy holiday book. The tension between the two is hot !!! Loved the competitions and just how adorably sweet he was with her and how fun the holiday spirit was with the family. Really adored this read as an audiobook.

Brynn spent time abroad six years prior where she met Pierce. They spent a magical and steamy weekend together with the hopes of continuing their friendship. Unfortunately that didn’t work out and she’s shocked to see Pierce at the same hotel as her. They haven’t seen since their fling six years ago and she’s holding onto something that makes her extremely reluctant to even want to talk to him at this point. That makes it extremely difficult for her when she finds out that they have a family connection that is causing him to spend the holidays with her family!
The coincidences were wild but what more could you ask for from a short and sweet Christmas story? Both main characters were great, they burn was slow, and the holiday spice was an added bonus. This was such a fun and cute read with tons of holiday cheer!

This was such a cute fun quick read! If you need a book to get you into the holiday spirit, I highly recommend checking this out. Especially, the audiobook. Stella Hunter and Shane East did an amazing job with this audio. I have recently become a HUGE fan of Shane East; His voice is everything you need for a British man. It was perfect for Pierce. I recommend the audio for this!

I finished Merry Kissmas in a day! I was completely hooked from the start! Just the perfect little holiday rom com I needed.
This was adorable - like a Christmas hallmark movie in book form with banter, family fun and games, a wintery Utah lodge setting with skiing and of course, some spice. I liked that the characters were mature in their careers while being competitive and relatable. I love when contemporary romances bridge the gap of a generational drama and bring in family dynamics too.
Not gonna lie, I kind of fell in love with them and how they cared for each other. Especially the mom :) Reminded me a bit of me with my brothers and cousins.
And we have to talk about the romance. I like how this was a bit of a second chance romance and also enemies to lovers. She made him WORK. Which I think all the ladies can appreciate. Lol. But he was a man on a mission and came back around respectfully and with some lines (and moves) I will remember!

A marketing director interview for a 25-year-old?
6 years between a fling and they're still pining? I wanted to hate it, but I am all in for maximum pining and secretly hoping for a second chance for years.
This family sounds like my personal nightmare. If I were Pierce, Brynn would not be worth the torture.
Everything about this was cringy, but it was exactly what I wanted from a holiday story so I can't even complain about it. Too many holiday books are Christmas adjacent but don't incorporate the holiday enough. I was pleasantly surprised how prominent holiday traditions were for this story.
Another major pro is the lack of third act drama and the fact that is was under 250 pages, which was very appropriate for this type of story.
All in all, this wasn't went written or well-developed. But it was sold to me as a Hallmark movie with some spice and it definitely delivered on that promise.

It was impossible not to fall in love and root for this couple. Their chemistry and banter were *chef's kiss*. Brynn’s family was so fun, and I loved the holiday competitions. The satisfying HEA, the gifts...its just so good! Merry Kissmas is the perfect cozy holiday escape with all the feels.

Pierce and Brynn had a one night stand 6 years ago and they immediately had a great connection, but things didn't work out because he was the TA of her class while she went to school in London. Brynn is shocked when she realizes Pierce is up for the same job she is interviewing for, and he is also going to be spending the holiday with her family.
Brynn's family was so adorable, and I loved all their holiday themed competitions. They were so good to Pierce, and it was so sweet to see them be so accepting of him when he lost his parents at a young age. Brynn and Pierce also have to share a room and end up teaming up for the competitions, so they quickly get over their previous issues. They had amazing chemistry and great banter. This is a perfect holiday novella to kick off the Christmas season.

It's not Christmas season without a Piper Rayne holiday romance! This book did not disappoint. It was a quick and easy read that packed a lot of punch. The second chance romance had all the pining and swoony moments. The Christmas activities were so fun, and all the crazy family dynamics were hysterical. We also got to see characters from prior books which is always enjoyable! If you're looking for a cozy Hallmark Christmas romcom with a little bit of spice, this is the book for you!

Pierce quickly distances himself to avoid any issues which leaves Brynn feeling used and hurt. It's 6 years later, and now they both are on holiday together with her family and things are awkward to say the least. Pierce and Brynn are so freaking cute even when they are fighting. The banter is great, and I love that Pierce has his mind set on winning her back again. He participates in all the family things even when he doesn't understand them or think he'll be very good at them. He takes the family competitions seriously, and eventually wins her over by showing her that he knows he messed up before and wants a chance to try things again. When they finally get some alone time and decide to take things to the "next level" it is hot and heavy and everything you want it to be. Shane East and Stella Hunter do an exceptional job of narrating this story and bringing these characters (and all the side characters) to life.
This is a super cute, short holiday romance, and I absolutely loved it. It had me smiling from beginning to end. Thank you to Piper Rayne and Valentine PR for an advanced listener's copy of this book. I loved it!!

Merry Kissmas was a second chance, holiday romance was filled with all the Christmas cheer! With forced proximity, a beautiful found family, and a fun competition set at a gorgeous resort, I fell madly in love with this book! I laughed, cried, and closed the book feeling so happy!
Brynn met Pierce six years ago overseas. It was a steamy one-night stand and years later she found herself competing for a job against him. Their meet cute now had me laughing and clapping my hands, they were so awkward and at the same time I loved the tension between them. And when they figured out that they were going to spend the holidays together, I was screaming and couldn’t stop laughing! What unfolded was a fun, steamy, heartfelt, beautiful story!
I already adored Brynn in Claus and Effect, and was so excited that she was getting her own story. She told it like it was, and I loved her sassy ways! And Pierce was so much more than meets the eye. Yes, he was sweet and caring, but learning about his past cracked my heart and I just wanted to reach into this book and give him a hug. These two had all the chemistry and sizzled on the pages anytime they were near each other!
One of my favorite things was how vocal they were with one another. They shared their feelings and talked about their issues from the past. About how they were hurt, or how a situation made them feel. I love, love, love that they handled their issues in a way that resonated with me. There was no miscommunication or beating around the bush, I loved it! Add to the fact that Pierce seemed set to try and win Brynn back…ohhh I was so excited!
This story took us back in time, a few moments here and there, and we got to see Brynn and Pierce six years ago. From that first moment they met, to their first kiss, to their steamy night together, I loved every minute of it. It added to their depth. And in the present, yes there was an emotional aspect to it all. But at the same time, the Christmas competitions added so much playfulness to this story! From their Christmas tree, to on the slopes, to Christmas cookies, gingerbread houses, and mistletoe, I adored how festive this book was! And when their moments together turned steamy, this book truly had it all!
The side characters leapt from the pages! From Kenzie’s obsession with them at the beginning, that had me cackling with laughter. To Andrew and Tre melting me by taking care of the new littles in their lives. To the parents that made me feel like I was home. To even the sparring that took place between the siblings…I loved it all! So, while this can definitely be read as a standalone, I can't recommend Piper Rayne's previous holiday books enough! You'll see favorites in this story, and I loved being back with all of them and seeing their updates on life. If you want to binge them all, then start with Single and Ready to Jingle, then Claus and Effect, then this book. Keeping my fingers crossed for Carter to get his story now.
Merry Kissmas was festive and fun, while also being heartwarming and emotional. It was impossible to not cry tears or laugh out loud. This book easily got added to my favorites list and I can’t wait to see what Piper Rayne writes next!

Piper Rayne's books are always full of emotional depth and heat and this latest second chance, dual POV, holiday romance was no exception. I enjoyed revisiting previous characters but it also very much works as a standalone. The audio narration was EXCELLENT voiced by Stella Hunter and Shane East (who has a sexy British voice). A quick, feel-good romance sure to give readers all the cozy, HOT vibes they could want.
