Blaze Stark, mega best-selling author and former St. Louisan, enters Mitchell Adam's office one night convinced someone wants to kill her. Given her bizarre peccadilloes and office decorum, he suggests a female therapist, but she refuses. Reluctantly, he agrees. His initial diagnosis is a major psychiatric illness, but Blaze is not a reliable informant and has hidden her early past from the world. After two deaths of people close to her, Mitch finds the shocking truths in Blaze's past by reading her dystopic young adult novels and by enlisting help from her bodyguard, Alonso. Mitch must endure her rabid fans and use all his cunning to see through her ruse and not be the latest victim when she enters his office a final time. Boundless, a book-within-a-book, is the fourth in the Mitchell Adams series.

"Sometimes the mind plays tricks, misinterprets events, distorts reality … becomes altered."
It is a psychological thriller that keeps you reading page after page. If you like stories like Inception, Shutter Island, Split, or Identity, I recommend this book not because it's the same concept but because of the mental health component of the story. The human mind is a powerful tool; sometimes, it plays tricks on a person, which leads us to the idea that we are going insane or these are actual things we see or foresee happening. I like how this story makes you think you might also be losing your mind. The author's writing style is very immersive, perfectly showcasing the book's characters. I am so intrigued that I am hunting down copies of the series.

Boundless is the fourth addition to the Mitchell Adams series, written by Scott Miller. In this case, Mitchell starts working with a difficult patient, he cannot realize if what Blaze is telling is true, or if it's all in her head. But something feels off, and mysterious deaths keep happening surrounding Blaze, so he will have to decipher the truth before it is too late.

It was a very interesting thriller; the author keeps the mystery and increases intensity over the pages. The story is original, and the mental health topic is one that I find most interesting.

Overall, another great addition to the series. Suited for the reader looking for a medium-sized psychological thriller.

An absorbing novel
“Boundles” is an absorbing novel penned by Scott L. Miller. The moment Blaze Stark, a well-known author, realises someone wants to kill her, she encounters Mitchell to tell him about that. As Blaze’s life is a bit distorted and complicated, Mitch suggests she go to therapy to solve some of her issues. There are some troubles and secrets in Blaze’s life that disturb Mitch, too. So, he must use his wits to avoid problems.
It’s a page-turning twisted story that left me at the edge of my seat. Through the dialogues, you’ll learn a lot about the characters’ ideas, thoughts and lives. I liked it! I highly recommend it.

Author Scott L. Miller’s tale is a thriller, but not any type of thriller or those we are usually used to reading. This one is one of a kind, it is more a psychological and psychoanalytical thriller.
The storyline has been extraordinarily put together, with intriguing events as the ones which keep us hooked until the very end. Characters are seductive, in the sense that we want to know about what they do all the time. They are catchy and entertaining.
With plenty of twists and turns, the reading experience is enthralling; we get to delve in it as if what we are reading is happening in real life. This is thanks to the author's gift for painting vivid pictures in our minds. Loved it!

Definitely hard on the psyche.

This book is definitely hard on the psyche. If you want to relax and enjoy chose something else. For real, this is not for everyone. I have to say it was super entertaining and I loved every second of it because it made me feel adrenaline in ways I didn’t know a book could. I sincerely forgot where I was and what time it was. When I looked up from the book it was dark outside. This is a book that will play with your mind and will make you want to know how the things will end. Death, mental illness and danger are just a few of the topics touched in this book.

Mystery books have always been my favorite. I think I love the feeling of anguish and the unknown, so for days, the application had recommended this book and I had the opportunity to read it and I do not regret it at all. It is a simple book but with a very good plot about an author with a very delicate psychiatric problem, which reveals in many of her books, so acclaimed by the public, her past and many things she has done in reality. So, Mitchell must find out what is happening with this murderer to save herself from being another victim. The narrative is very entertaining and the characters are well developed, I liked it a lot.
