Fun short story about revenge, heart break and family curses! I didn’t know how this story would play out between Sevyn and this “mysterious stranger” that walked into her diner. But when their pasts resurfaced, I wasn’t prepared for how deep the secrets lied. Definitely wondering what happened to Sevyn afterwards.
He was just like "think on it, and if you want to kill me in a year, well, that's ok, I guess." And how is he not in jail? Or, what about his family? Aren't they going to seek revenge for his death?
Did he get his affairs in order? Is she going to get in trouble for killing him? What about the curse, did she break it, or is she still on the hook, because seven generations means more than just her mother died. Omggggggg I want to know more about this lady and her life.
Uhhhh.... wow! This read had a somber feeling right from the beginning, and I wondered what it could possibly be in a Christmas story. This read really packed a punch, for being only 25 pages. Two strangers meeting and enjoying each other's company late on Christmas Eve, only to find out that they shared a connection that was a traumatic and tragic.
Emerson, what did you do exactly? How was it hidden for so long? Why was the evidence of your wrongdoing in your desk drawer? 👀 That ending confused the hell out of me! Did Sevyn "help" Emerson on his journey, or did he take it alone? Hmmm...... that was an interesting read to get me out of my sappy Christmas feels. 🤯
This short story was quite impactful in such a short amount of pages! This is my first read by this author, I will be back for more! Great writing, kept me turning all 25 pages! Great, quick read this Christmas morning!
This was short and to the point but I think more could of been added to give more to the story and the reader. The story was engaging but I wanted more. Definitely would read again from this author.
BRANDI!!!!????? Where you at miss ma’am? I just wanna talk sis!!! 🤣
I have SO many questions for you! Like, what happened with the people that stole his shit? Did they not take him to jail? Why didn’t they take his ass to jail? When did he agree to let her unalive him??
Emerson CFO of Sky view airlines did something horrible 20 years ago out of “revenge”. And it’s still haunting him to this day. And one day he will come face to face with one of the victims daughters.
Sevyn runs a cafe and 20 years ago she lost her mom to an airplane “accident”. Or so that’s what’s she had to assume all these years. One day Emerson conveniently stops in the cafe. And while they are getting to know each other and sharing “secrets”. Sis connects the dots and finds out HE is the reason she’s without a mother.
One year after she finds this out. They meet up at a cliff… and um. Yeah. Ends it for him. Or he ends It for himself? WE NEED ANSWERS!
It was a delightful and swiftly paced read. I appreciated the smooth and effortless flow of the narrative. I highly recommend this short story, particularly if you are seeking a quick and engaging read.
A short story to remember with this read! This was mind blowing and twisted in a since! I think I have a little chill from reading Christmas at Sevyn! That ending was shocking!
I was so disappointed in this book. I wanted more. I understand it was a short, but I wanted the back stories.. It just felt like something was missing... Well not something, a lot.
