Matteo Russo has always enjoyed the single life alongside his identical twin, Luca, and their best friend, Zach. Focused on building their empire and the rest of the Four Families circle, they enjoyed their freedom with no long term entanglements or expectations. However, their lives have drastically changed recently.
Zach fell first and is now experiencing the joys of parenthood with a woman who is his match in every way. Luca found the woman of his dreams in an unlikely place and is building a life with her and the little girl who stole Matteo’s heart the first time they met.
With happy families all around him, Matteo is feeling more alone than he ever has before and has suddenly found himself at a crossroads. Can he ever settle down and find the same kind of happiness his friend and brother have found? Does he even want to?
A chance meeting with a beautiful woman starts out as a long-distance friendship and turns into a love he never imagined he’d find. When two very different worlds collide, they soon find that they have more in common than they ever thought possible and bridge the gap between New York and Texas in a way that no one ever imagined.
Join Cee Bowerman as she splits her time between The Big Apple and the Lone Star State, bringing together an unlikely couple that we can all fall in love with together.
Matteo Russo is the head of the mafia. Seeing his twin brother fall in love has been a tough pill to swallow as he has yet to find someone who could handle his life. It happened where he least expected it when he meets Bella, she is a breath of fresh air compared to the women he has been with. Every time he says something that should have her shying away, it only seems to embolden her and have their long distance friendship growing stronger. When Bella tells Matteo she is moving to NY for a job, everything changes and Matteo decides to lay it all out for Bella about what he is feeling for her. A threat though could ruin everything, will Bella be willing to stand by Matteo's side no matter what?
Loved this book. I am so excited to see the kids from some of my favorite series appear in their own. Wonderful and Bella is a hoot. I loved her twin Dillon as well, he is a handful. Can't wait to see who is next.
I have a great big grin on my face right now! There is nothing better than a Cee Bowerman book! But when so many of her worlds come together in one book? There is nothing better! I love Matteo and Bella’s story. Their love came so easy, but big decisions still needed to be made. So good! I laughed. I cried. I think I experienced all of the emotions - but mostly laughter and happiness. I’m already looking forward to rereading this one.
The author found a way to combine the four families with the Connors, Forresters and Dukes. Priceless insults and laughs ensue. Since every visit to these families, in book form, is like coming home, it was a visit I was ready for and I'll always be ready for the next book in line.
Outstanding 10 stars, what a ride. So much laughter, mixed family whether blood or not, still family. Loved the characters & their story. Definitely one of my top 15 books Ive read 🩷. I will be re-reading this soon. So very good
This was an intriguing story, and an even more unique couple. It's certainly going to be an interesting match, especially considering who their families are. Lol! It's not a story or series that you'll want to miss! I rarely have anything to say except for glowing reviews of this author's work (which if you can't tell, I absolutely love!), but I was slightly disappointed that this story didn't include more of Bella's family (& extended family), not including her extremely miserable, opinionated, and PITA brother. It's not nice to tease your readers with the possibility of that kind of hilarity and mayhem, cause yes, everyone knows it would be that, and much more!! Especially with only a glimpse of everyone's favorite character and idol, Gamma! (I so want to be her when I grow up!!) It would be so freaking epic to have a story involving The Four Families, Time Served MC, and everyone in Rojo, Texas!! (Sorry, it was too much to list all of the Texas Knights, Kings, Queens, Connor's, Gems, Second/Third Generations, etc.... LOL!) You might as well include the family in Colorado too! Now there's a story idea that I know everyone would absolutely love!!! Yes, I would absolutely love to read more about my all time favorite characters in Rojo/Tenillo/& Colorado, but I understand that this series is about my new favorite characters, as it should be. I would like to see more of the responses from both families/friends of the couples that find their forever. We only got a very brief overview of how Bella's family reacted (not including the grumpy brother!). Overall, this was a fantastic story, and a definite must read book and series. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
I know I love Cee's books. I love her writing, I love her stories, and the fact that it's life. Sometimes I read the blurb and think: Eh okay, fine I guess... But then I read it and I love it and I can kick my own ass for doubting Cee. I am not here for unneccessary drama between a couple, because there is nothing more that I hate than drama in a romance that could have been prevented by communicating one fucking sentence. So Cee has that going for her, but I literally laugh out loud reading her books because the banter is always so good. The chemistry is amazing. I love catching up with all her characters, and the way all the stories are interwoven. I loved this story, because the chemistry had me vibing on a whole new level. I did the long distance thing with my husband when we first got together (eventhough I live in the Netherlands so really to American standards that is not long distance att all), so it was really recognisable. From the first page to last I was hooked, and I can't wait for the following books.
It's good to revisit the four families that inhabit Cee Bowerman's mafia world. The book is a fun read that brings the world of Rojo, TX and New York back together and strengthens the ties between Tenillo, Rojo and New York even further. The heroine is an unexpected treat for both the reader and Matteo.
My only negative to this is that there are so many storylines intersecting in this book that while it's fun to see all the characters, in some cases it's been so long since I read their stories that I'm scrambling to remember the relevant details. A re-read would be helpful but it would also cross over so many series that it would take a while to get through them. Hmmm. That's not a bad idea.
This is the book for Matteo the twin brother of Luca. His book was just before this one. Matteo is sad, lonely, and feeling like a third wheel because his twin Luca and BFF Zach have their forever partners plus babies. There is a scene with Matteo and his biological father Stamp that is so poignant. Wise words are given to Matteo about opening up his mind to find a woman who isn’t a gold or fame digger. The next thing that happens is that Bellamy aka Bella bumps into him and rocks his world. It’s an entertaining story and cute romance. Also Bella is a fraternal twin to her brother Dylan. Their nicknames are so adorable Belly-Button and Dill Pickle.
Well Well Well Cee does it again. I have no clue how she keeps up, heck sometimes I have to go back and research because I confuse the characters and she intertwines the worlds seamlessly. In Matteo we get to see all three of our favorite worlds intertwine in this one book, all the while Cee is weaving another unique love story. We get some humor, a bit of anxiety ( you know those moments you are kind of cursing Cee a bit), amazing characters and one great love story. And they say Long distance never works out. I am excited to see what else Cee Bowerman comes up with. Whatever it is I am here for it.
This one was so much fun to read. Matteo lamenting at the beginning, you knew he thought he'd never find someone who could handle who he was and his job. Yet with Bella, it was easy and she often surprised him. It helped that Bella grew up around people that were sometimes crazy and normal had a different meaning for them. It was so much fun when Bella would shock Matteo and the others in his "family". She totally took care of business when they found out about the threat and slept like a baby after. You can tell that these two will be up to whatever life throws at them with their families at their back.
I so enjoyed reading this book. The characters will surprise you, scare you and please you. I wish I could be more like them. A New York mafia leader and a southern biker woman find each other. On the way to their HEA, they fly to Vegas, question some men who have been tracking their families, have a paintball fight as a prelude to a wedding, one moves to be closer to their love, and fight off crazies who are targeting their families. The men are blessed with some zany ladies in these families. Excellent selection for your reading hours. Highly recommend this one. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger,
I love all of Cee’s books and have read them so many times. This one is one of my favorites. You really need to read all of the books in order to fully comprehend the way of the Conners and crew. If you haven’t read them you are in for an adventure. I am a fan of books that the couple know they want to be together and get stronger together and this is another great couple. I love the humor and strong females but also men that are secure enough to be able to laugh.
I adore this author's books but Matteo and Bella's story might be my favorite. There was just something about them from the moment they meet. There is a visceral attraction between them that is downright magical! I loved every interaction they had, I was practically giddy every time they talked. Bella's background and family combined with Matteo's family and responsibilities was a match made in heaven! Their story is all about laughter and love, family and mayhem! I can't wait for the next book in the Four Families!
As always this author knocked it out of THE ballpark! I loved Mateo and Bellamy. When I read the first Conner book I had no clue I would later be reading about those precious twin babies being all grown up. I loved the reference to Martha's quote " some people just need killing". This book is great as a stand alone however , to get the whole EXPERIENCE go back and start with the authors Texas Knights series and read in the order listed on authors website..... You won t regret it.
It just doesn’t get any better than a Cee Bowerman book and this instalment of the four families series is fantastic, Matteo and Bella’s story. Hot mafia men and strong kick butt chicks always make for a great story and when you add in Cee’s trademark laughs and banter you’re in heaven. Family, tears, laughter, drama this book has it all. I love living in Cee’s world,it’s just so epic,do yourself a favour and immerse yourself in Cee’s fabulous world, trust me you won’t regret it ❤️🖤
Wow, this story will not disappoint you at all. I was hooked from the very first chapter and could not put it down until the last. I loved Matteo and Bella's story. It was so much more than a steamy Mafia story. It was great to see appearances from past characters from both sides that we always are looking forward to. I like when a novel can keep me on the edge of my seat guessing what is coming next. I can't wait for Constance's story; she definitely has earned her HEA.
Can I just first say I am fangirling over Bella she is just a friend everyone needs! She is funny, smart & very protective of her family & friends and Matteo is perfect for her! And I just am in awe of her family too. I have truly enjoyed watching Matteo & Bella's relationship blossom & can't wait to read more future books in this series to see how everyone is doing from previous books as well as meeting new characters too.
This series definitely has me hooked & excited to see what happens next.
Another amazing book by Cee Bowerman. I just knew I was going to fall in love with Matteo. When he was first introduced he came off as hard & closed off but you really see him in this book.
Cee doesn’t disappoint when it comes to the laughs & the warm fuzzy with her characters. She has a way with making you feel apart of the family.
Absolutely love Bella can’t wait for more of the Connor’s to get books & more from this series.
I love this author and the romantic humor makes me laugh every time I read her books. This was no exception. Matteo met his match at a wedding and they started a long distance relationship, that became more. He didn't think she could handle his mafia lifestyle until he spent time with the Connors. He soon learned the VP lady biker could handle lots of things, including his Russian mafia enemies in New York. Loved this book.
Adored the story for Matteo and Bella by Cee Bowerman part of the Four Families series. Matteo is the broody Russo brother to Luca and biological father is Stamp from the Time Served MC series by Cee. Bella is a Connor daughter adopted by her uncle and his wife from her Connor Construction series. It has everything. Drama, sexy men and sexy times, sweetness, snark all the Cee Bowerman goodness we crave every day. Enjoy!!
I loved this one like I love all Cees books. I have loved belly and dill since their birth that was wonderful and so sad at the same time. I have reread every book at least 4 times. Cees book have it all dark, light , funny sad. Lots and lots of sarcasm. They way she writes ,makes me feel like a member of the family. I want to live in Rojo more than any other place. I want Martha to be my Gamma. Great job with the New York bunch. I love all the 4 families also
This is a book that lets you see a family and friends be in the mix for anything coming their way. It's a feel good story making a long distance relationship show us how to make it work. I smiled this entire story because of the care and love shown. All these people had strength so it wasn't a good move to do anything negative toward anyone they cared about. This couple were good for each other. They made it look easy. CEE, this another good job!!!
I really enjoyed reading these two and catching up some with her family. I totally adore Dylan and can't wait for his story, fingers crossed. Matteo is just a really great boyfriend and seemed to know his heart and mind pretty quickly. Always good getting a glimpse of the Four Families and their family members. I hope they catch up to Frank sooner rather than later 🙏🏼. It was fun 😁 at the end, and a perfect wedding day.
This book continues the Russo Family series. It is Matteo and Bella’s story. They meet at a wedding (in a previous book). They hit it off and start a long distance relationship. Bella is offered a job in New York where Matteo lives and has to decide if she wants to take it. Their relationship blossoms in to love but naturally there are bumps along the way. Their HEA is achieved amid laughter and love.
` I have been waiting for Matteo story. Bella was a shock considering her mom and all that went down with her but she fits Matteo’s family perfectly and even shocks them. The story is perfect the families are great and when you add it all together it is a definite must read. Looking forward to more from this series, that is if the Matteo, Luca and the cousins survive the wedding festivities and the Texas’s family.
Another truly enjoyable read. I am always amazed at the tales Cee is able to weave and how everything intertwines. Bella and Matteo’s story is sweet and funny. I loved catching up with old favorites and especially loved when Martha put her hand on Matteo’s cheek - we all know what that means. Well done Cee! Rojo is one of my fave places to escape into and it never lets me down 😊
