A curse threatens the land of the living, dooming spirits to walk the Earth seeking peace they would never find. Valas, the king of the dark elves, seeks to end the plague of the curse, before it spreads across his lands, taking everything away from him. Only, he can’t do it alone. He must find the Reaper of Shadows. The one prophesized to end the curse once and for all. After a long search, he finally locates the Reaper, but to his surprise, he finds a woman and a human one at that. Despising humans but bound by his sense of duty, he takes Saraya with him, desperate to break the curse that threatened his people. Struggling with their clear differences, Valas soon comes to realize that there is more to Saraya than what meets the eye, and he soon realizes that she is everything she is prophesized to be. She is the Reaper of Shadows, and she is not one to be used.
I feel guilty bc I got this for free from a giveaway but… This is genuinely the worst book I’ve ever read. Like I’ve given 1 star before without guilt and this is wayyyyy worse. I stopped making notes like 1/3 of the way through, but actually made a note of soooo many typos/awful syntax/grammatical errors. Like fr read those notes if you’re reading this. It’s awful. Absolutely 1/5. Probably would be .2/5 if that was an option. Pm me if you want some editing help. I will do it for the greater good.
This book was a super fun mindless read. It is perfect if you are in a reading slump or need an easy read for another reason. I thought that the relationship was fun and cute but nothing too dramatic. Overall I felt it was an entertaining read and I enjoyed it.
I do not read many Fae books but I really enjoyed this book. From Hate to Love between a Human and a Elf was very sweet. Having to work together and moving beyond the history of the human/elf relationship. I recommend this read to anyone that enjoys Romance Fae books.
