How it started: 🎶 While all the time that I was loving you, you were busy loving yourself. I would stop breathing if you told me to, now you’re busy loving someone else🎶

How it ended: 🎶 I love you, I want you, what can I do to make you see, you’re the only one for me🎶

Kaya was in bliss with her man her man her man until this 🥷 was shouting similar words from the mountain top to someone else 😵‍💫🥴 YIKES!! Devastation was rapidly injected into Kaya’s veins because it completely took over!

After months of sulking her besties suggested the cure for a broken heart, 🍆!! “Do the humpty hump, do the bumpty bump, fk him”🤭IYKYK….So one night stand here she comes!

Her morning after clarity hit her like a ton of bricks realizing that the dk did nothing to heal the ache in her heart. Being sick of men taking what they need then leaving she’s ready to get off the merry go round of emotional turmoil and had no idea that Taj wasn’t one of them ones and was ready to love her DOWN!

It was 🌻 “for the woman who deserves to feel the sun again”🥹 for me
Yassss…Feed me bae 🥓🥞🍳
Please take my stress away 🪻🧖🏽‍♀️💜
It was 🥂”Here’s to however long” for me

My toxic trait is that I’m always looking for a good cuss out, beat down, some sugar in a gas tank, an “I’ll bust the windows out ya car” @$$ b!tch, just a lil razzle dazzle of chaos but this story had me realizing that sometimes the best revenge is moving on, healing, being loved properly and not investing your time or energy into what no longer brings you peace. After the initial shock of Kaya’s betrayal this was an unproblematic love story and it gave me the warm and fuzzies reading about Taj loving our girl the way she deserved.

This was my second read by Kiriah and it’s the growth for me. Her writing has matured and story was much more structurally sound. I felt connected to the characters and she took us through a more detailed journey of those meaningful moments. It was on the mild side with drama but sometimes the girlies need a sweet recharge and that’s what this was. What more could a reader want. Iono how I feel about Indigo Falls because this really feels like the fk 🥷 zip code but if men like Truce and now Taj will be there to pick up the pieces then maybe it’s not such a bad place after all 😏

Taj & Kaya 🖤

“Sometimes the best things happen when we least expect them..”

Losing a relationship you thought would last can really hurt, especially when betrayal is involved. To mend her broken heart, Kaya decided to go out for a night of fun. Little did she know, Taj was going to be playing for keeps 🥰. There’s something so satisfying about reading a story where a woman on a journey of healing finally finds the love she deserves—I can never get enough of it.

Normally, I avoid novellas because I prefer a full-length story, but this was a quick and sweet read from a ntma. I’m enjoying Indigo Falls!

This story gave me all the feels. Anytime Taj & Kaya were together I couldn’t help but smile. I loved how them being together helped them both heal from things in the past. I don’t want to say too much but read this book! I highly recommend!

Quiet love

3.5 stars
This was cute! A quiet healing love story.

Kaya had been through it. After finding out the man she thought she would spend forever with was a liar, and the life they built was a fraud her world definitely tilted. Her confidence was shattered and she carried the heaviness and grief of losing love and a future. Months later to help her get out of a rut her friend takes her out for a night of fun. Fun turns out to be Taj. Taj is a serial one night stander, avoiding attachments at all cost. However, he feels a connection to her immediately. Something about Kaya feels different and he wants to take care of her.

This wasn't a loud love. It was quiet, intentional, and consistent. I loved the sweet gestures from Taj. The patience and understanding he showed Kaya was unmatched. I would have loved to see them outside of their bubble together.

Sn: This man on the cover is fine AF. Definitely fit the MMCs description.

**SPOILERS**
Despite this being good I found a few things that didn't make sense. He finds Kaya's cafe randomly? But when he walks in it seems as if he's looking for her?? He "guesses" her favorite flower. At what point did he get her phone number, he texts her out of the blue? He sets up a spa day with her friend, but he never contacted the friend to let her know this, but she magically shows up? Would have loved more connection in the story

“Here’s to our forever.” 🤗

Kaya & Taj story read like a Hallmark movie. It was sweet and somewhat wholesome. When Kaya was finally able to let her guard down I was like yea girl let that man in!

Spice: 🌶️🌶️

Loved the cameo from Big Daddy Truce lol

I can’t wait to read more of your books Kiriah 🥰😘

This is the 2nd novella in the Introduction to Indigo Falls series. The 1st one is When He’s Not There by Zee Renee.

It's one thing for a man to leave his woman for another woman, but for another man? Wow!

Sweet Kaya's heart is broken at this ultimate betrayal. Yes I get that. But unprotected sex with a one night stand. Reckless. No saying what she was possibly passing on to Taj.

Yes they both deserve happiness, but be safe about it!

Heartbreak is devastating to all who have experienced it. However, for some it can become debilitating, stealing every ounce of joy you ever had. This is what happened to Kaya. Cairo was her everything until he wasn't. She had no clue that he had this secret life, and upon discovering it, the knowledge stripped her bare. She didn't know who she was without him. Couldn't function nor see any happiness in her future. Her bestie Le was not having that ish. She was going to get her girl out of that rut if it was the last thing she did. Taking her out on the town would surely do the trick.

Taj, Mr. one and done, is jaded toward love after watching his parents destroy the other during their divorce. He wants simple, and one-night stands give him just that. A night out to unwind changes him forever.

Kaya approaches Taj wanting a night to help her forget, but little does she know that night will do anything but. Both Kaya and Taj are afraid of love, however their connection is so strong they can't help but want to explore it. Taj realizes that Kaya has been hurt, so he takes his time with her. Shows her that he is there because he wants to be and reassures her that she deserves to happy and loved. I really enjoyed this sweet read. 👍🏾👍🏾

✨For However Long✨

I hate to be long winded but hear me out I promise it’ll be worth it .. Let me set the scene for you .. Imagine being so in love with somebody that you feel like your life is complete, like there is nobody else on this earth for you but them. Being so happy and so in love that you’re just on top of the world‼️ Until one day the fog starts to clear and you start noticing lil stuff that you never used to notice or rather never paid any attention to because you were so blinded by the way they made you FEEL.. Only to one day explore these things to find out you’ve been getting lied to. Only to feel like the rug was snatched from under your feet, leaving you face down on the ground. Imagine feeling so broken, so alone so worthless that you half way didn’t want to continue on living. Didn’t want to see the good in anything or COULDN’T see the good rather. Now imagine running across a man with intention (intention = done on purpose or deliberate) .. who doesn’t tell you what he’s going to do but shows you. Shows you consistency, shows you effort, shows you that you matter despite what anyone else including yourself showed you or made you feel. Imagine a man who helps you heal parts of you that you never thought you’d see or feel again. Imagine allowing yourself to feel again and being so engulfed in a love so pure that you come out on the other side to your happy ending! - All that sound good don’t it? Baby .. “For However Long” took me on a ride that I didn’t know I needed . It reminded through Kaya of the ups and downs of what we deem as the perfect relationship, then the many stages of grief after said relationships and my most favorite part is the overcoming the renewal the happy ending . What I loved most about the book was how it showed that a black man shown through Taj , could love and respect and help heal a woman without any ulterior motives, without wanting anything in return other than her. I love the showcase of a healthy black love after being shown how in a lot of cases black women come up short in love. Baby give me a Taj anyday love me unconditionally, help me heal while I help you . Show me that as a black woman I don’t always have to endure struggle love to actually be loved. I know this was long but after reading this book for the 3rd time it’s woke up some feelings I had lying dormant that I didn’t know I needed to release! Don’t take my word for it cause everybody is different but please pick up this book and experience an Indigo Falls man cause baby they ain’t to be F…. Ain’t to be played with 🤭

4⭐️ 2.5🌶️

"You deserve to find joy again, even if it seems unreachable right now."

•The opening?! Kaya is a better person than I am because the way ! would've made a scene! 🫨
•Taleyah is a fun time - I'm glad she suggested going out because my girl Kaya was about to sit in all her thoughts
•Taj and Kaya. One night. Well! 😏
•Taj was about to worry me with those phone calls
•I was talking to Kaya as if I were in the book. "You deserve this baby girl."
•Their date 🥹🌻
•I will forever love an insta-love trope.
•Taj and Kaya were so cute and the end?! "That's all? You had me worried there for a second mamas." 🥰

The author had so much growth in this novella and I am looking forward to more from her! 👏🏾

Sweet heart-warming love

Kaya is left broken hearted after finding out her man was cheating on her with a man. Her best friend takes her out and she locks eyes with Cairo the handsome stranger. She decides to have fun with him for the night but this doesn’t feel like a one-nighter. There is more that their hearts long for after their encounter. Cairo is the master of one-nighters but his encounter with Kaya feels like she belongs to him.

Find out, if Kaya and Cairo will take a leap into love .
Trope explored in this story : strangers to lovers , instalove , he falls first

a story of restoration

This story is definitely relatable. We’ve all experienced a heartbreak that we thought we wouldn’t survive. A heartbreak that left us to pick up the pieces through the tears. Taj was so perfect and gentle. The gondola scene was my favorite part. Cheers to healthy black love !

This was a nice story like I’m happy the FMC got to see love from another side. I struggled to finish this because it was kind of dry, like I’m sorry while I get as an author you want to get to the good part. I feel like y’all skip over the connecting the reader to the main character and their emotions. Like the small clips and pieces we get about Cairo wasn’t enough for me to get why she was distressed dang near the whole book. Like I need yall to paint us a picture cus I felt like she was dragging it. I understood the betrayal aspect but other than whining and carrying on in a slump sis ain’t really do no self improvement to rebuild herself back up. Like you lived and died by the word of a man who turns out ain’t even like women, get in the mirror AFFIRM YOURSELF, get on the couch and talk to one of them ladies, get out there and find a new hobby shoot pray or something. Like all it felt like to me is she was opening herself up to the potential love offered by our MMC but like what happens if that falls through she back to square one cus she ain’t work on herself.

New to me author. The book had potential but still a feel plot holes that didn’t add up. The MMC just didn’t seem like a playboy to me. Maybe a little more backstory would’ve helped. Also—why didn’t we see the conversation with her ex? She followed him and didn’t say anything? Nothing? Not a word? Hmmmmm okay. Also—how did he find her store? the spa day with the friend was cute but after their date? When did he orchestrate this? Overall it was nice to see sis gain her confidence back and let her guard down.. it just felt like a lot was missing.

cute but repetitive

I thought this was a cute instalove story. I do think the author was very repetitive. I think the author overdid it with letting us know it was supposed to be a simple one night stand. Calling everyone to get advice after one night was a lot. I think they could’ve been around each other a little more before all that happened.

Amazing

This book was a slow burn, but it was a beautiful burn. It was about a woman that was broken, and it took one glance and one moment to find the love of her life. Sometimes you never know if the love of your life is looking did in your face. I enjoyed this book so much and I'm definitely gonna read more books by this author.

For However Long by Kiriah Kache is a sweet yet emotionally charged novella that takes readers through the journey of Kaya, a woman scarred by betrayal and grieving a profound loss from that same relationship. Kaya’s spirit feels shattered, leaving her struggling to find hope and joy again. Her best friend, Taleyah, becomes her rock, pushing her to rediscover herself. When Kaya finally agrees to go out one night, she decides on a whim to have a one-night stand with Taj—a choice that sparks a connection far deeper than she anticipated.

Taj is handsome, thoughtful, and carries his own wounds from past heartache, but something about Kaya draws him in completely, making it impossible for him to run from the possibility of love. Watching these two characters open up to love, especially after such pain, was beautiful. I loved how they both had to work on themselves before being able to truly embrace their feelings, which added depth to their journey.

This was a 4-star read for me, filled with the kind of tender moments and self-reflection that make love feel genuine and earned. The friendship dynamics were fantastic, too—Taleyah’s unwavering support for Kaya brought a lot of warmth, and Taj’s circle added to his character in a way that felt authentic. I'm definitely a fan of Kache’s writing style and storytelling, and I can't wait to see what she brings us next!

Kaya was in her my man, my man, my man era—until that ninja was singing love songs to somebody else. Devastation hit her like a freight train.

Her bestie said: the cure = somethin new! So sis did her Keri Hilson and danced into a one-night stand…
Only to realize: the DTB and did nothing for the ache in her heart. Kaya was tired—tired of the hurt, tired of being used…just tired!

Enter Taj.
Not one of them ones. He came to love her down—the soft, intentional, sun-on-your-skin kind of love. And babyyyy, I felt it!

It was the sunflowers for woman who deserves to feel the sun again that had me swoonin'!

I usually love a lil’ madness and mess, but this story showed me the real flex is healing, peace, and being loved properly. Kaya deserved that. And Taj? Whew. He delivered.

Kiriah’s pen is wonderful!
