Rate this book
He's my best friend's older, hot rockstar stepbrother. Who I've been obsessed with since the first time I saw him, but he doesn't even know I'm alive, until he does.
He made me believe he was mine, but he wasn't, and it almost destroyed me.
I moved on with someone new, and now he wants me back.

DNF at 70% so I will not be rating, but I wanted to leave a couple of thoughts.

This couple is not right for one another in their current state. They were stuck in a continuous loop of Trystan making promises he couldn't keep and Cam, knowing full well he was full of it, took him at his word. Then, when he didn't keep the promises, she acted out to get his attention. Both were immature. Neither one was capable of growing into something better together. It was mentioned that it was a "right person, wrong time" situation, and that was definitely the case. They needed time apart, FULLY apart, to mature and examine their toxicity if they ever wanted to have a solid relationship that could withstand time.

Maybe they got that in the final 30%, but I can't read anymore to find out. And poor Owen. He really got jerked around, and I didn't like it AT ALL.

First - the very first chapter stars with her 18th birthday; however, the font they used makes it look like Chapter 1 - 8th birthday. So, when you get to the part where the adult is kissing the 8-yo, don't worry - it's really her 18th. Let me tell you - I was like WHAT THE F is this book!?! Anyway - I wasn't impressed by this book, and I feel really bad for saying it.

Camryn Young (20, virgin, annoying, BFF to Kaia) has the hots for her BFF's stepbrother, Trystan West (24-ish, rock star, older bro of Jaxtyn). Especially after the passionate kiss he gave her on her 18th birthday. He's prepared to take her that night, until he discovers she's a virgin. The next morning he's cold and distant and leaves on tour. Flash forward two years later. She still sees him occasionally but never interacts with him. They start this thing of making out, then him telling her he doesn't want a commitment, and he doesn't believe in monogamy. Then they'll see each other and make out, then he'll leave her again. While he strings her along, she strings along Owen (Jax's BFF). At one point, she sees Trystan with another woman, assumes the worst, and then dumps him. To be fair - I'd have done the same thing. She agrees to be Owen's girlfriend, but they never make out. I don't think they ever even share a kiss. They all end up in this weird triangle before Trystan finally says he's all in. Wait.... I think they break up again after that.

That's pretty much the entire book. Making up/breaking up. Eventually - they get an HEA.

SEX: She gives up the V card at 33%. It's pretty hot. I could have definitely used more of it.

That's all the effort I want to put into this review. If there is another book in this series, I don't plan on reading them. For me, the story just isn't there. I'm being very generous with this 3 stars.

I still think the author is great in some of her other books.

Dirty Little Mistake is messy, toxic, fame-drenched second-chance romance drama—and honestly? I devoured every unhinged, emotionally unstable, “this is a terrible idea” moment.
We’ve got:
• Rockstar MMC with too many feelings and zero chill
• FMC who is clearly trying to survive both her trauma and the walking red flag she keeps crawling back to
• Baggage. Everywhere. (Seriously, we need TSA.)
• One epilogue that had me feral. FERAL.
Let’s not sugarcoat it: Trystan is the definition of “man I should block but instead accidentally text at 2 a.m.” He’s arrogant, volatile, and so hot it’s genuinely upsetting. And Camryn? Sweet, self-sabotaging, and giving “I can fix him” energy in the worst (best?) way.
Their dynamic is all “we shouldn’t” energy followed immediately by “we did, repeatedly, with no remorse.” It’s toxic. It’s intense. It’s giving drama-laced desperation and I ate it up.
Did I roll my eyes at their immaturity? Yes. Did I care? Absolutely not. I was fully locked in for this “bad decisions, but make it sexy” energy. The tension? Off the charts. The spice? Came in hot. The emotional damage? Free with purchase. Is this a healthy relationship? Not even close. Was it realistic? Absolutely!
Did I love every single chaotic second of it? Absolutely. This book is not here to give you clean arcs or perfectly resolved emotions. It’s here to make you feel things, probably cry a little, maybe yell “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” at your screen—and honestly, I respect that. Ma’am, you’ve got me. I’ll be back for book 3 like a glutton for punishment.

4 Stars ⭐️

Tristan(MMC) is going on tour with his band Rage Nation and he doesn’t want to leave Camryn (FMC) behind. Camryn is Tristan’s Sisters best friend. Camryn doesn’t have a family. Her aunt and uncle travel the world. Camryn doesn’t want to ruin her friendship with Kaia (best friend) and her found family with her and her family. Tristan can’t stay away from Camryn any longer. They both take a chance but it crashes and burns when Tristan messes up. This is a second chance rockstar romance.

Quote: “I don't want to share you. I want to throw you over my shoulder, carry you to the bathroom and fuck you against the shower wall until you don't remember any man but me."

Rockstar...need I say anything more??

The number one thing I love about this book is, he becomes a famous Rockstar, but there is NO cheating...he also does not get into drugs!
This is a great book, you really need to read the first book to get to know the characters.

obsessed is an understatement

When I say I’m obsessed with Trystan and Cam it’s not even the right word. These two from start to finish couldn’t stop everything they felt. These two emotions that took over me. Moments of heartbreak to o my goodness my face flushing at the chemistry. Obsessed!!!

oh so good

Man this was a good read. Had plenty of drama though. There is tons of heat in this and they have so much chemistry. These brothers have so much commitment issues though and it bleeds into book two. Read book one for more backstory on these two and missing parts it will all fill in. Good storyline and a good read.

Would have liked to know more about the characters outside of their relationship. More about the MMC life as a rock star and the FMC life as a dancer and how their separate lives tied into their love story. Trysten was a musician and couldn't write one love song about her?
